Essie - It Takes a West Village

Today I have mostly lethargic, my head does not really want to stop aching. In any case, it was a really nice walk in the snow and a little cleaning in the drawers where I store my candles. Always something. Although the best of the day was probably the raw fried potatoes I fixed for lunch, absolutely perfect.

I have been thinking for a while about how I should relate to getting a balance here on the blog between polishes that I receive in press releases and all other polishes that I have left untested or for that matter used maybe once. Now I have come to the conclusion that it will be every other time. So every other post will consist of a polish that I did not show before and that was sent to me as a press sample and every other will be either untested that I bought myself or received as a gift or one that was shown earlier here which sadly only got used once or maybe not even that for some are just swatched for the sake of the blog. I have printed out a list of all my polishes and run with a random number generator to decide which one will be displayed.

Therefore, today's polish will be the one that has number 553 in my collection and which comes from an autumn collection that Essie released in 2018. The polish is called It Takes a West Village and has not been shown on its own before but only in a nail art. I have seen several different explanations for what color this cream is, I would probably like to say light purple. Very nice to work with and one layer can probably work if you want, I have two and top coat.

This is a very nice color that definitely deserves to be seen here on its own. Another reason why I have chosen to do this is to be able to more easily decide if I can imagine selling or giving away a bottle that has been in my box for a while, but I can say at once that this stays with me.
