Essie - Going Guru

I really like minty green spring polishes. Or pastell green polishes. I have a problem keeping myself from buying when I see one. And Essie Going Guru is one of these polishes that I couldn't resist.

This is a little sharper mint green, but stil on the pastel side. Unfortunately the formula is nearly as fun as it was on Nama-Stay The Night from the same collection. This was actually a little tricky to work with. uneven and difficult to get the right amount of polish on the brush. For covering I think two layers might have been enough if it hasn't been so uneven. That made me add a third and with some topcoat everything looks fine.

I love the color of this, but it's not a super unique polish so I think you can find something similar with better formula actually.

  3. Superb Pastle minty green. Yeah I agreed it's not unique but it's must have shade I think.

  5. I like the pistachio green colors (this reads too yellow to me to be called mint) but regardless what you call it-- it's pretty for spring! Too bad about the formula!

    1. You are probably right about the pistachio thing. I'm really not that good on seing the difference.
