Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Darling Diva Polish Fomalhaut

Lördag igen och inget inplanerat vilket känns rätt skönt. Min röst är inte var den borde så det blir inte någon karaoke i alla fall ;)

Förra veckan fick ni rösta på tre olika Darling Diva lack och jag var faktiskt lite förvånad över hur ojämn röstningen var. Jag trodde nog att det skulle blir ett ganska jämt resultat, men icke för Fomalhaut drog ifrån på en gång och vann överlägset.

Och då var vi tillbaka till ett lack som jag inte kunde låta bli att lägga över svart. Fomalhaut har en lite svarttonad bas och glitter i blått och grönt som jag tror kan vara lite multichroma faktiskt. Det är riktigt fina färger tillsammans tycker jag.

En mycket bra sak med det här lacket är att glittrena sprider sig väldigt lätt över nageln. Inget fiskande här inte. Jag valde att lägga två lager över ett svart krämlack. Och sen bestämde jag mig för att pröva Purrfect Pawlishs Matte Paws. Alltså ett matt överlack på detta. Ofta tycker jag att glittermanikyrer blir riktigt häftiga när man gör dom matta.

Just Matte Paws blir inte supermatt utan mer satinmatt skulle jag nog vilja säga, men jag gillar verkligen hur Fomalhaut blev med matt lack över. Tyvärr så är det ju så att det här är inte snabbtorkande vilket jag inte tänkte på utan målade med det precis innan jag skulle iväg.. Inte så smart. Manikyren åker bort idag.

Men i alla fall måste jag säga att Darling Diva Fomalhaut är en riktigt snygging. Nu är jag rätt säker på att det här kan vara lite svårt att få tag på, men om ni får syn på det någonstans så är det väl värt att äga.

Glöm inte rösta på nästa veckas lack.

It's Saturday again and nothing scheduled, which feels quite nice. My voice is not where it should be so there will definitly be no karaoke ;)

Last week you had three different Darling Diva polishes to vote on and I was actually a little surprised at how uneven the voting was. I thought that it would be a fairly even results, but not at all because Fomalhaut pulled away at once and won convincingly.

And again a polish that I could not help but add over black. Fomalhaut has a little blacktoned jellybase and glitter in blue and green which I think may be a bit multichrome actually. It's really nice colors together, I think.

A very good thing about this polish is that the glitters spreads very easily over the nail. No fishing here for glitter at all. I chose to put two layers over a black creme polish. And then I decided to try Purrfect Pawlishs Matte Paws that is a matte top coat on it. Often I find that glittermanicures gets really cool when you make them matte.

Just Matte Paws is not super matte but more satin I guess I would like to say, but I really like how Fomalhaut turned out with this effect. Unfortunately the fact is that this is not fast drying which I did not think of, but painted with it just before I was going out.. Not so clever. The manicure will be taken of today.

But in any case I must say that Darling Diva Fomalhaut is a real hottie. Now I am pretty sure that this can be a little hard to find, but if you catch sight of it somewhere it is well worth owning.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Inspired By Fashion - Green & Gold

Den här månaden är temat hos The Nail Challenge Collaborativ Inspired By Fashion. Inspirerad av mode alltså. Jag är helt borta när det gäller just mode, så det blev googlande för att hitta lite inspiration. Nu är det ju inget som säger att det skulle vara modern just exakt nu faktiskt, så det kanske blir lite fusk.

Den här manikyren kom egentligen till genom att jag hade Colors By Llarowe Mojito på naglarna och insåg att det skulle se väldigt bra ut med något stämplat i guld över. Så jag sökte helt enkelt på guld och grönt. Bland bilderna på Google hittade jag en klänning med mönstr som är guldblad, men faktiskt så såg dom rätt lika ut som paisley mönster så jag har tolkat lite som jag själv ville.

Grunden till den här manikyren är alltså Colors By Llarowe Mojito som jag sen har stämplat ett mönster från BM 315 plattan med hjälp av Models Own Chrome Gold

Ok, det är inte exakt samma mönster, men jag tycker ändå att det påminner om klänningen och jag är nöjd med resultatet. Tycker att färgerna gifter sig väldigt bra.

This month's theme at The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Inspired By Fashion. I'm not at all interested in fashion so I had to google for inspiration. The god thing is that it doesn't say inspired by this years fashion, just fashion so it might cheat a little.

This manicure really came to life because I had Colors By Llarowe Mojito on the nails and realized that it would look very good with something stamped in gold over. So I simply searched on the internet for gold and green fashion. Among the images on Google, I found a dress with a pattern that looks like gold leaf, but actually if you have a little imagination they do look a bit like paisley as well. That is how I hav interpreted it anyway.

The bas of this manicure is Colors By Llarowe Mojito which I then have stamped a pattern from the BM 315 plate using Models Own Chrome Gold

Ok, it's not exactly the same pattern, but I still think it is reminiscent of the dress and I'm happy with the result. I think these colors goes very well together.

ABC Challenge - J = Jade Energy

Men hörrni så fort det går! Vi är redan framme på J och jag tänker visa er en riktig liten goding må jag säga.

J får nämligen representeras av Jade Energy. Ett tag var Jade lacken högvilt och alla skulle ha dom och visa dom. Så även jag förstås, men det här har blivit stående och det var ju kanske tur för det var det enda lacket som var oanvänt som började på just J.

Dom här lacken är väldigt trevliga att måla med. Torktiden på just det här var inte supersnabb, men helt ok. Jag har tre lager för full täckning och ett lager med Digital Flash över.

Men bara kolla färgen och nu har jag inte alls fått fram den fantastiska holoeffekten som finns i det här lacket på bilderna. Det är faktiskt smått fantastiskt tycker jag. Färgen är teal och den är väldigt fin även när man inte ser alla fina regnbågar.

Time really does fly! We are already on the letter J and I will show you a real treasure, I must say.

J gets to be represented by Jade Energy. For a while Jade polishes was the big thing that everybody wanted and they were all over the polishblogs. And of course I was one of those who wanted them real bad, but this one has been standing a while and maybe that was a good thing because this was actually the only untried polish I had that begun on J.

These polishes are very pleasant to paint with. The drying time of this particular was not super fast, but quite ok. I have three coats for full coverage and a layer of Digital Flash over.

But just check out this color. I haven't manage to capture the amazing holoeffect in the photos that this polish has. It's actually quite amazing I think. The color is teal and it is very nice even when you can't see all the nice rainbows.

Purrfect Pawlish - The Yellow King Collection

Förra veckan visade jag er en av Purrfect Pawlish nya kollektioner som släpps den 6/3 och idag ska ni få se den andra av de två. Bägge dom här kollektionerna kommer ni att hitta här: purrfectpawlish.bigcartel.com

Kollektion nummer två heter The King In Yellow. Den är inspirerad av en samling berättelser av en för mig okänd författare som heter Robert W Chambers, men lacken har väckt min nyfikenhet. Den här kollektionen består av tre lack. Två tänkta att användas på egen hand och det tredje är ett effektlack.

Jag gillade verkligen I <3 My Cat, men det här är ändå strået vassare.

Låt oss börja med stjärnan i samlingen. Ett blått glass fleck lack med namnet Carcosa.  En ganska mörk blå färg, men helt underbara silverflakes i. Alltså det här är en riktig juvel. Dels så tycker jag att färgen är fantastiskt vacker, men lacket är även smidigt att lacka med och torkar fort.

På bilderna har jag två lager av Carcosa och topplack. Som jag skrev i mitt förra inlägg om Purrfect Pawlish så är penseln i lacken lite bredare, plattare vilket jag gillar. Det finns faktiskt inte så mycket mer att säga om det här lacket, titta på bilderna istället och föreställ er att det är så mycket finare i verkligheten.

Namnet Carcosa kommer från en mytomspunnen stad som jag faktiskt inte tidigare kände till.

Nästa lack heter The Pale Mask och består faktiskt enbart av äkta Sterling Silver. Nu kan man ju förstås tänka sig att det ska vara ett silverfärgat lack då, men det är det inte utan det är faktiskt mycket mer guldaktigt i tonen. Även detta lacket är otroligt vackert. Jag tycker att det känns lugnt och harmoniskt i sin ton på något sätt.

Det här har jag också två lager av, men om man vill undvika VNL helt så ska man nog ha tre lager. Ja har topplack på också.

Namnet The Pale Mask hänvisar till något som döljer något överjordiskt. Också detta nytt för mig.

Sist men inte minst är då The Mysterious King. Det här lacket är inte tänkt att användas på egen hand även om det säkert skulle funka. Det består av en klar bas fylld med något som ska efterlikna guldstoft (dock inte äkta denna gången) och det tycker jag också att det gör.

Tanken är att effekten blir bäst om man lägger det här över mörka lack, men för en gång skull så blev det inte över ett svart utan över det blåa Depend 397 och jag är väldigt nöjd med effekten som blev.

På bilderna har jag valt att enbart lägga ett lager över det blåa. Lacket är relativt tjockt och jag tycker faktiskt inte att det behövdes mer. Jag har inget topplack på.

Även det här är ett väldigt vackert lack.

Namnet The Mysterious King kommer från ett mystiskt och svårgreppat väsen.

För att sammanfatta den här kollektionen så räcker det egentligen med tvåord. Vacker och gnistrande. Jag är riktigt, riktigt förtjust i alla tre av dom här lacken, men framför allt Carcosa.

Last week I showed you one of Purrfect Pawlish new collections that will be released on the 6th of March and today you will see the second of the two. After the release you will find them both here: purrfectpawlish.bigcartel.com

Collection number two is called The King in Yellow. It's inspired by a collection of stories written by Robert W. Chambers a for me unknow writer, but the polishes has aroused my curiosity. This collection consists of three polishes. Two intended to be used on their own and the third is an effect polish.

I really liked I <3 My Cat, but this is collection is even better.

Let's start with the star of the collection. A blue glass fleck polish with the name Carcosa. A rather dark blue color with lovely silverflakes in it. This is such a beauty. The color is amazing but another thing that makes it great is that it's really nice to work with and dries quickly.

In the pictures I have two layers of Carcosa and topcoat. As I wrote in my previous post about Purrfect Pawlish the brushes in these bottles is a little wider, flatter, which I like. There's actually not much more to say about this polish, look at the pictures instead and imagine that this is so much prettier in real life.

The name Carcosa comes from a mythical city that I actually haven't heard of before.

Next polish is called The Pale Mask and actually consists entirely of genuine Sterling Silver. Now, one can of course imagine that it should be silver colored polish then, but it's not instead it's actually much more of a gold tone. This polish is incredibly beautiful. I think it feels peaceful and harmonious in some way.

I have two layers of this in the pictures, but if you want to avoid VNL completely you might consider a third layer as well. I also have a layer of top coat on.

The name The Pale Mask refers to something that is hiding something supernatural. This too was new information for me.

Last but not least  The Mysterious King. This polish is not meant to be used on its own although it certainly would work. It consists of a clear base filled with an imitation of gold dust (but not the real thing this time) and I think it looks pretty much like gold.

The idea is to put this over a dark polish for the best results, but for once, I didn't put it over a black but over the blue Depend 397 instead and I am very pleased with the effect that it became.

In the pictures I have chosen to only add one layer of The Mysterious King over the blue polish. It's relatively thick and I don't believe that it needed more. I have no top coat on.

This is also a very nice polish.

The name The Mysterious King comes from a mysterious essence that is difficult to grasp.

To summarize this collection I only need to use two words.  Beautiful and sparkling. I'm really, really fond of all three of the polishes in the collection, but especially Carcosa.

ABC Challenge - I = Isadora Flashy Copper

Isadora Flashy Copper är mitt lack på bokstaven I. Ett lack som håller vad namnet lovar och är rätt och slätt ett koppar färgat skimrande lack. 

Det är absolut inget fel på det här lacket, nä, det är egentligen väldigt fint, men jag tror inte jag var riktigt sugen på just den här typen av färg när jag la på det här på naglarna. Jag var nog lite mer inne på en mer orange färg faktiskt. 

Flashy Copper är vad jag förstår ett lack som släpptes första gången 2011. Det är lätt att lacka med och tar man ett tjockare lager så räcker det nog faktiskt med ett lager. Jag har dock två på bilderna. Och ett lager med topplack också. 

Som jag sa så är det här ett vackert lack och en färg som jag gillar i vanliga fall. Det påminner faktiskt lite om OPI Take The Stage även om jag tycker att det lacket har lite mer djup i sig. Kanske är det problemet med det här. Det är lite för lite djup i det. Jag hittade det i en reakorg för rätt länge sedan och jag tror att det är på sådana ställen man får leta efter det. 

Isadora Flashy Copper is my polish for the letter I. It is what the name says a Copper polish with shimmer in it. 

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this polish, no, it's really very nice, but I don't think I this was the kind of color I felt like wearing when I did put this on the nails. I was probably a bit more into a more orange color actually.

Flashy Copper is what I understand a polish that was first released in 2011. It's easy to paint with and if you take a thicker layer I think that you could actually get away with only one. However, I have two layers in the images. And a layer of top coat also.

As I said, this is a beautiful polish and a color that I normally like. It actually reminds a bit of OPI Take The Stage although I think that the OPI polish has a little more depth in it. I found it in a bargain basket for quite a long time ago and I think it is in such places you may find it now as well.
