Reader's Choice - Parrot Polish Lotus

Har spenderat förmiddagen med min engelska bok och nu inväntar jag att det ska bli dags att skjutsa maken och mina två bröder till ölprovning, rätt nöjd med arrangemanget då jag i alla fall får god mat på köpet.

Det är några veckor sedan jag sist postade läsarnas val och sist valde ni ett lack åt mig som jag så här i efterhand insett nog inte skulle varit med. Lotus är egentligen ett thermolack, men under tiden det stått i min låda har det förlorat sin originalfärg totalt. Det här ska växla mellan ljusblått och lila. Min flaska är grön, jag lyckades få det att ändra sig till blått, men det går inte att se växlingen ordentligt på nageln utan det är antingen grönt eller blått som gäller. Tro mig, jag har försökt. Nu är ju inte detta något som är okänt vad det gäller just thermolack och också anledningen till att jag inte längre köper den här typen av lack. Det är sällan effekten finns kvar speciellt länge. Det här är dessutom ett jelly, så det stackars lacket har rätt mycket emot sig. Dock var det en bra jellyformula och jag har tre lager på bilderna. 

Alltså det är inget fel alls på den här färgen, den är helt ok, men inte alls vad den borde vara. Dessutom lyckades jag bara fånga den "kalla" färgen på bild. Plus att jag råkade dra i en av naglarna i någonting så manikyren sabbades lite grann. Så förlåt för mindre snygg manikyr och för ett gnälligt inlägg.

Have spent the morning with my English book and now I wait for it to be time to drive my husband and my two brothers to a beer tasting, quite happy with the arrangement since I at least get good food for the job. 

It is a few weeks since I last posted the readers' choice and last time you chose a polish for me which I in retrospect realized I shouldn't have included. Lotus is actually a thermo, but while it was in my box it has lost its original color overall. This should switch between light blue and purple. My bottle is green, I managed to make it change to blue, but it is not possible to see the change properly on the nails without pouring cold water on them, so it is either green or blue that applies. Believe me, I have tried. Now this is not something that is unknown in terms of thermos' and also why I no longer buy this type of polish. It is seldom the effect remains when storing them. This is also a jelly, so the poor polish has a lot against it according to my standards. However, it was a good jelly formula and I have three layers in the pictures.

So there is nothing wrong at all with this color, it is quite ok, but not at all what it should be. In addition, I only managed to capture the "cold" color on photos. Plus I managed to damage one of the nails so this not the most pretty manicure. So forgive for less stylish manicure and for a whimsical post.

CND - Soulmate

Jahopp, då börjar veckan närma sig sitt slut igen. Varit ganska tråkiga skoldagar, eller inte riktigt för vi var på studiebesök på kemlab och det var intressant, men lektionerna har varit ganska sega. Ser fram emot morgondagen när nyinköpta penséer ska ner i blomlådan utanför och jag har hemmastudier som ska tillbringas med en engelskabok på soffan.

Jag har fått ett gäng lack från CND Vinylux vårkollektion Sweet Escape i brevlådan och först ut att bli testat är Soulmate. Jag har faktiskt ingen aning om hur jag ska beskriva den här färgen. Den är inte brun, inte rosa, inte aprikos utan en blandning av dessa. Mycket bra att måla med och två lager är vad som behövs. Jag har lagt på CNDs egna Vinylux topplack på detta.

Soulmate, nja någon soulmate blir inte det här lacket till mig. Är inte helt såld på färgen får jag nog erkänna, men man kan ju inte älska dem alla.

The week begins to approach its end again. Been quite boring school days, or not really because we were on a study visit to chem lab and it was interesting, but the lessons have been quite dull. Looking forward to tomorrow when newly bought pansies will be down in the flower box outside and I have home studies to be spent with an English book on the couch.

I've got a bunch of polishes from CND Vinylux Spring Collection Sweet Escape in the mailbox and first to be tested is Soulmate. In fact, I have no idea how to describe this color. It is not brown, not pink, not apricot but a mixture of these. Very good to paint with and two layers is what is needed. I have put on CND's own Vinylux topcoat on this.

Soulmate, well to be honest I don't think this will be my soulmate. I'm not completely sold on the color, I must admit, but you cannot love them all.

OPI - How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?

Idag har jag fått vara med audionomerna en stund och se vad de jobbar med. Riktigt intressant och mycket bra att få förståelse för deras arbete också. Det underlättar för mig när jag ska skriva diktat. För övrigt har vi haft en mycket bra helg, hunnit kika på utemöbler till vår nya uteplats, vara på lunch hos mamma ihop med trevligt sällskap och titta på Harry Potter filmer. Blir aldrig trött på dem!

Idag låg det ett paket i brevlådan med de allra flesta lacken från OPIs Tokyo kollektion och självklart vill jag visa ett av lacken på direkten. Maken valde ut How Does Your Zen Garden grow som är ett limegrönt krämlack. Kanske ska tillägga att alla är av Infinite Shine versionen. Riktigt bra täckning och två lager räcker. Jag har topplack över, dock inte det som man egentligen ska ha ihop med dessa lack, men de funkar utmärkt med både annat topplack och baslack än tilltänkta från OPI. Dock kan man nog inte räkna med samma hållbarhet om man inte kör med originalprodukterna.

Jag valde dessutom att piffa till det lite extra med lite vårfåglar från en Born Pretty Store platta med nr BP 58 som jag stämplade med Hit the Bottle Lucky Spark. Tyvärr blev stämplingen kanske i svagaste laget, men jag lovar att det är väldigt fint IRL. Det här är ju en fantastiskt trevlig vårfärg måste jag säga. Känns som små spröda löv på naglarna.

Today I have been with the audiologists for a while and got to see what they are working with. Really interesting and very good to get an understanding of their work as well. It helps me when I write dictation. We have had a very good weekend, have had a look at outdoor furniture for our new patio, been for lunch at mum's together with nice company and has watched Harry Potter movies. I Never get tired of them!

Today it was a package in the mailbox with the vast majority of the polishes from OPI's Tokyo collection and of course I want to show one of the them directly. My husband chose How Does Your Zen Garden grow, which is a lime green cream. Maybe I should add that all of them is from the Infinite Shine version. Really good coverage and two layers are enough. I have topcoat over, but not the one from the infinite shine collection, but they work excellently with both other topcoat and basecoat than intended from OPI. However, one cannot probably count on the same durability if one does not run with the original products.

I also chose to spice up the manicure a little extra with some spring birds from a Born Pretty Store plate with number BP 58 which I stamped with Hit the Bottle Lucky Spark. Unfortunatly the stamping turned out a bit pale, but I promise it looks very nice IRL. This is a fantastic spring color I have to say. Feels like small brittle leaves on the nails.

China Glaze - Lime After Lime

Hoppsan vad den här veckan försvann fort då! I onsdags hade vi några personer på besök och pratade solvärmesystem. Spännande och kanske något som kommer att satsas på här. Haft lite inlämningsuppgifter som jag jobbat på, men igår tog jag en pluggpaus och passade på att gå till optikern, det blev dyrt vill jag lova! Hälsade även på hos mitt gamla jobb, alltid trevligt att gå dit.

Idag har jag pluggat engelska och tyckte att jag behövde lite glada självlysande naglar efter detta. I min låda hittade jag China Glaze Lime After Lime som är ett knalligt grönt krämlack. Om det är en neon är väl lite tveksamt, men på gränsen till en i alla fall. Formulan uppför sig som en sådana, för det här är inte helt enkelt att få jämt, men det går. Jag har tre lager och topplack och då tycker jag att det blev ett riktigt bra resultat.

Man kan ju inte låta bli att bli glad av en sån här färg och visst är väl ändå våren på gång därute?

Oops this week disappeared in a hurry! On Wednesday we had some people visiting and talking solar heating systems. Exciting and maybe something that will be invested in here. Had some assignments that I worked on, but yesterday I took a little break and went to the optician, it became expensive I want to promise! Went and visited my old workplace as well, always nice to go there.

Today I have studied English and thought I needed some happy luminous nails after that. In my untriedbox I found China Glaze Lime After Lime which is a bright green cream polish. If it is a neon is a little doubtful, but on the verge of one anyway. The formula behaves as such, because this is not that easy to get even on the nails, but it's not impossible. I have three layers and top coat and this way I think it turned out really good.

You can't help but feeling happy with this kind of color on the nails, and certainly the spring starting to show out there.

Depend O2 - 5087 Rusty Rose

Det blev visst lite tyst här ett tag, men vi har haft en jättemysig helg med äldste sonen på hemmaplan. Hunnit med besök hos svärmor, på Pinchos och haft lite korvgrillning vid dammen med eldshow för grannens två mindre barn. Mycket uppskattat kan jag säga. Dagarna rullar på fort som bara den, veckans första praktikdag är redan avklarad.

Målade om naglarna igår och valet föll på ett av lacken från Depend O2s Nude It Is kollektion. Lacket heter 5087 Rusty Rose och är ett väldigt neutralt lack med en rosa nyans. Alla lacken i den här kollektionen torkar matt vilket bidrar till den neutrala känslan på dem. 5087 har en fantastiskt bra formula och två lager är vad som behövs. En del matta lack har en tendens att bli ganska ojämna, men inte det här. Jämt och fint även utan topplack. Jag har dock lagt på ett lager med Depends matta topplack för att få en bättre hållbarhet.

Om jag hade bestämt mig för att lägga på ett glansigt topplack på det här lacket är jag rätt säker på att jag inte hade gillat det speciellt mycket, men med det matta blir det ett himla fint lack och jag trivs verkligen i det här. Väldigt kontorsriktigt.

It got a bit quiet here for a while, but we had a really nice weekend with the eldest son at home. Managed to both visit my mother-in-law, ate at Pinchos and had some sausage grilling at the pond with a fire show for the neighbor's two smaller children. I can say that it was very much appreciated. The days roll on so fast, the week's first practice day is already completed.

Redid my nails yesterday and the choice fell on one of the polishes from Depend O2's Nude It Is collection. The polish is called 5087 Rusty Rose and is a very neutral polish with a pink hue. All the polishes in this collection dries mattte which contributes to the neutral feel on them. 5087 has a fantastic formula and two layers are what is needed. Some matte polishes tends to become quite uneven, but not this. Smooth and nice even without topcoat. However, I have put on a layer of Depend's matte topcoat to get a better durability.

If I had decided to apply a glossy topcoat to this, I am quite sure that I had not liked it very much, but with that matte it turns out to a very pretty polish and I really like this. Very office-oriented.
