Nail Art Sunday - More neon!

Välkomna till denna veckas Nail Art Sunday. Det är fritt tema, alltså kan man vara hur fantasifull som helst.

Själv har jag valt att återigen koppla ihop Söndagens tema med The Nail Challenge Collaboratives tema som är neon.

Jag har gjort en enkel, men kul manikyr med hjälp av A-England Camelot, Sation Loudest Color och lite neonnitar.

Jag har dessutom testat en ny produkt från Born Pretty Store. En slags gele som man sätter över en tandpetare eller orangepinne som man sen använder för att plocka upp nitar med. Riktigt, riktigt bra måste jag säga. Men, plocka inte direkt från asken utan häll ut några stycken på bordet. Annars har du hela pinnen full med nitar. Att plocka en och en och placera på nageln när man hällt ut några var väldigt smidigt och dom lossnade lätt vid placering på nageln.

Welcome to this week's Nail Art Sunday. There is no theme this week so you can use your imagination any way you want to.

I myself have chosen to once again connect Nail Art Sunday with The Nail Challenge Collaboratives theme that is neon.

I made a simple, but fun manicure using A-England Camelot, Sation Loudest Color and some neon rivets.

I have also tested a new product from Born Pretty Store. A kind of gel that you put on a toothpick or orangestick that you then use to pick up the rivets with. Really, really good I must say. But, do not pick straight from the box. Pour some on the desk instead. Otherwise, you have the whole stick full of rivets. To pick one and one and put on the nail when poured out worked very smooth and they came off easily when placed on the nail.

Reader's Choice - Turtle Tootsie Polishes FD

Läsarnas val är tillbaka igen! Det blev ju både lite semester och sjukpaus. Men idag får ni ett rykande färskt inlägg. Jag har både målat och skrivit nu på morgonen för att sen kunna gå ut och njuta av solen. Bäst att passa på, man vet aldrig när det vänder och regnet kommer tillbaka.

Det lack som ni röstade fram sist är från Turtle Tootsie Polishes och heter FD. En tät kamp mellan det här och Smitten Polish Zelda's Fall-y utkämpades, men FD vann med enbart en röst faktiskt.

FD är ett något mörkare rött lack nästan lite åt rostfärgat  med en svag holoeffekt. Jag var först inte speciellt nöjd med formulan. Det blev strimmigt och faktiskt kala fläckar om man försökte rätta till något. Efter ett par naglar kom jag på att det behövdes ett ganska tjockt lager av färg för att undvika detta. Så visst i slutet gick väl applicerandet bra, men helt nöjd är jag inte.

Dock täcker det på två lager om man då tar i lite och målar med flödiga lager. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är absolut ett fint lack, men det vann inte mitt hjärta som jag trodde det skulle göra. Helt ok, men inte mer än så i mina ögon.

Till nästa vecka blir det orange som gäller. Tre nya lack att rösta på.

Reader's Choice is back again! It did become both a little vacation and sickness break. But today, you get a very fresh post. I have both painted and written the post this morning and will now go out and enjoy the sun. Best to take the opportunity, you never know when it turns and the rain comes back.

The polish that you voted for the last time is from Tootsie Turtle Polishes and is called FD. It was a tight battle between this and Smitten Polish Zelda's Fall-y,  but FD won by only one vote in the end.

FD is a slightly darker red polish almost a bit rust-colored with a weak holoeffect. At first I was not particularly happy with the formula. It was streaky and I actually got some naked spots if it tried to correct something. After a couple of nails I realized that it needed a fairly thick layer of polish to avoid this. So yes, in the end the application went smootherl, but I'm not completely satisfied with it.

However, it covers it in two layers if you thicker layers. The drying time was good and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is certainly a nice polish, but it didn't win my heart as I thought it would. Quite ok, but not more than that in my eyes.

For the next week you will have orange polishes to vote for.

Depend O2 - 5038 Pegasus Girl

Sommaren dröjer sig kvar och då är det extra härligt att måla med ett av Depends nya holos och speciellt eftersom det dessutom är Sminkan & Emmas inofficiella holofredag.

Idag har jag valt 5038 Pegasus Girl som är ett hallonrosa lack med en svag holo. Precis som med de andra två från kollektionen HOLO Fantasy som jag redan visat var det här en dröm att måla med. Täcker på två lager och torkar fort. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag gillar den här färgen, men jag är inte lika förtjust i denna som jag var i Dungeons & Goddesses eller Forbidden Witchcraft. Men visst är den fin, ser liksom saftig ut på något sätt på naglarna.

Summer lingers and then it's extra nice to paint with one of the new holos from Depend and especially because it's also Sminkan & Emmas unofficial holofriday.

Today I have chosen 5038 Pegasus Girl that is a raspberry pink polish with a modest holo. As with the other two from the collection HOLO Fantasy that I already tried this was a dream to paint with. It covers in two coats and dries quickly. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I like this color, but I'm not as fond of it as I was with Dungeons & Goddesses or Forbidden Witchcraft. But it sure is nice it kind of looks juicy on the nails.

Suzi - The First Lady with stamping!

Alltid när jag får på mörkt gröna krämlack på naglarna så bara måste jag testa att stämpla med något guldaktigt över. Det är nästan som en liten tvångshandling. Förmodligen för att jag vet att det oftast blir riktigt snyggt.

Givetvis kände jag samma sak när jag målat med OPI Suzi - The First Lady of Nails. Jag plockade fram Hit The Bottle Be-Cider-Self och MoYou London Pro 17 bägge oanvända för övrigt och satte igång.

Jag är riktigt nöjd med resultatet. Grönt och guld är suveränt ihop så är det bara!

Always when I have painted with a dark green cream polish I instantly feel that I need to stamp with some kind of gold pattern on top. It's almost like a compulsion. Probably because I know that it usually looks really neat.

Of course, I felt the same when I had painted with OPI Suzi - The First Lady of Nails. I picked up Hit The Bottle Be-Cider-Self and MoYou London Pro 17 both actually unused and got to work.

I'm really happy with the result. Green and gold are superbly together, that's just the way it is!

Men se där, tanten har tagit sig upp ur sängen och målat naglarna för första gången på 14 dagar. Inte nog med att det är illa att vara sjuk, men att vara sjuk med chippade naglar, det är verkligen inte ok!

Nåväl, jag hoppas att jag ska hålla mig på benen, men lovar inte ett inlägg varje dag riktigt ännu.

Idag är det ju Karins gröna onsdag så jag valde att plocka fram ett av lacken från OPIs höstkollektion Washington DC som heter Suzi - The First Lady of Nails.

Lacket är ett riktigt mörkt grönt, kanske kan säga olivgrönt krämlack. Det lockade mig inte speciellt mycket i flaskan där det ser mindre attraktivt ut, men jag har skrivit det innan och skriver det igen, ibland är det dom lacken som ser bäst ut på naglarna.

Första lagret var ganska strimmigt, men ett lite rejälare andra lager rättar till det och jag tycker inte det behövs mer än två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack också.

Ännu en positiv överraskning från den här kollektionen. Det här är bra mycket snyggare på naglarna än i flaskan, faktiskt riktigt snyggt i mina ögon. Och en perfekt höstgrön färg. För även om jag bär vilka färger jag vill på naglarna året om så blir det automatiskt så att man dras sig till lite mörkare färger just nu. Fast just idag kunde det lika gärna blivit neon, för det är sommarväder ute.

Well looks whos back and gotten out of the sickbed. Today I've painted my nails for the first time in 14 days. Not only is it bad to be sick, but to be ill with chipped nails, it's really not ok!

Well, I hope I'll can hang around now, but I wont promise a post every day just yet.

Today, it's Karin's Green Wednesday so I chose to pick up one of the polishes from OPIs Autumn Collection Washington DC named Suzi - The First Lady of Nails.

The polish is a really dark green, might say olive green cream polish. It didn't attracted me very much in the bottle where it looks pretty boring actually, but I have written it before and writes it again, sometimes it's those polishes that looks best on your nails.

The first layer was quite streaky, but a little more fluent second layer fixed that and you don't need more than two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

Another positive surprise from this collection. This is much nicer on the nails than in the bottle, actually really nice in my eyes. And a perfect green color for autumn. Because even if I wear the colors I want on my nails independet of the season I do automatically get a bit drawn to the darker colors right now. But today I could might as well worn a neonpolish because it's summer outside.
