Indie Inlinkz - An Indie That You're Thankful For

Temat den här gången i Indie Inlinkz är ett Indie lack som jag är tacksam för. Alltså tacksamhet kanske jag inte direkt sätter i samband med lack, men om jag nu skulle säga att jag är tacksam över något av dom jag äger så är det nog Darling Diva Polish A Christmas Story.

Varför då misstänker jag att ni undrar eller det var så jag tänkte att ni skulle undra i alla fall. Jo, för det här är det första Indielacket som jag vågade mig på att beställa från USA. Jag tror jag köpt A-England innan det här, men då från en svensk firma som förmedlade dom. Men A Christmas Story köpte jag på DDP.s Etsy sida och var full av iver när jag fick hem det. Men vad sjuttsingen skulle det vara att vara tacksam för? Jag tänker så här. Jag är tacksam för att Carrie tillverkade det här lacket som jag fick sånt extremt ha begär efter att jag släppte mina spärrar och vågade mig på att beställa det, för det fick mig att öppna ögonen för den underbara världen av Indies som finns där och som jag inte hade haft tillgång till annars.

Mina bilder gör inte varken den här manikyren eller lacket rättvisa. Det här är dessutom en återskapning av en av mina favoritmanikyrer. I botten har jag OPI Romantically Involved som jag sedan gjort en svart gradient på och över detta har jag ett lager av A Christmas Story och sen topplack. A Christmas Story i sig är ett microglitter lack fullkomligt packat med rött, grönt och prismatiskt glitter.

Jag längtar efter julen och den här manikyren gjorde inte min längtan mindre!

The theme this time in Indie Inlinkz is an Indie that you're thankful for. Thankfulness is maybe not something that I immediately associates with polish, but if I should say that I was thankful for any of my Indie polishes it would be Darling Diva Polish A Christmas Story.

Why? I suspect that you are wondering or at least that is what I thought you would wonder anyway. Well, this is the first Indie polish that I dared to order from the US. I think I bought A-England before this, but from a Swedish company which distributed them. But A Christmas Story was bought directly from DDP.s Etsy store and I was full of enthusiasm when I recevied the package So what is that to be thankful for? I think like this. I am grateful that Carrie made this polish that I got such a craving for that made me step out of my comfort zone and dare to order it because that is what got me to open my eyes to the wonderful world of Indies that I wouldn't have had access to otherwise.

My pictures don't do neither this manicure or polish justice. Furthermore, this is a recreation of one of my favorite mancicures. As the base I have OPI Romantically Involved I then made a black gradient and over this i layered one layer of A Christmas Story and then topcoat. A Christmas Story is in itself a micro glitter polish completely packed with red, green and prismatic glitter.

I long for Christmas and this manicure didn't make my longing better!

OPI - Romantically Involved

Om det är något OPI är bra på så är det röda krämlack och just precis det är Romantically Involved ett.

Det här släpptes med Fifty Shades Of Grey kollektionen som kom i början på detta året. Ett klassiskt rött lack, men inte den där lite ljusare klassiska utan mer ett lite mörkare kanske lite mer sofistikerat rött. Det täcker på två lager och torkar snabbt. På bilderna är det utan topplack, så ni ser att formulan är fin och har en fin finish även utan topplacket.

Jag älskar den här typen av lack och det här är absolut inget undantag. Ett riktigt snyggt klassiskt rött lack är liksom alltid rätt.

 

If there is something OPI is good at, it's red cream polish and that is exactly what Romantically Involved is.

This was released with the Fifty Shades of Grey collection, which came at the beginning of this year. A classic red polish but not that brighter classic one but a more darker perhaps a little more sophisticated red. It covers in two coats and dries quickly. In the pictures you see it without topcoat, so you see that the formula is nice and has a nice finish without toppcoat too. 

I love this type of polish and this is no exception. A really neat classic red polish is as always right.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes - Sisters

Jag köpte tre lack från Turtle Tootsie Polishes Breast Cancer Awerness kollektion och idag tänkte jag visa det sista av dom.

Det som jag nog gillar minst av dom får jag nog lov att säga. Det här är Sisters ett lite dammigt rosa med nästan lite frostigt i det. Och det är just det som jag inte riktigt uppskattar.

Sisters var lika trevligt att måla med som sina systrar som jag visat tidigare. Två lager med snabbtorktid är vad som behövs. På bilderna har jag topplack också.

Alltså själva färgen gillar jag egentligen, men jag får lite tantkänsla av det och det är inte riktigt något som jag vill få av ett lack. Misstänker att det är finishen som gör det.

 

I bought three polishes from Turtle Tootsie Polishes Breast Cancer Awerness collection and today I will show the last of them.

This is probably the one that I like the least of them, This is Sisters a little dusty pink with almost a little frost in it. And that is precisely what I don't quite appreciate.

Sisters were just as nice to paint with as it's sisters that I have showed earlier. Two layers that dried fast is what is needed. In the pictures I have topcoat on also.

So I like the color, but I get a little old lady feel of it and it's not really something I want to feel from a polish. I suspect that it's the finish that makes it.

Reader's Choice - Lyn B Designs Time And Relative Dimension In Space

Trodde ni jag hade glömt bort er idag? Nej då, men först har jag lämnat av sonen vid tåget han ska hem till sig efter att varit hemma hos oss i tre veckor medans han praktiserade. Alltid lika tomt och tråkigt när han åkt. Sen har jag passat på att frisera mig lite grann och varit på julmarknad.

Men självklart ska ni få veckans läsarnas val. Det ni valde åt mig är Lyn B Designs Time And Relative Dimensons In Space ett lagom långt namn kan man ju tycka. Mitt första lack från det här märket.

TARDIS är ju självklart ett Doktor Who inspirerat lack och jag erkänner att jag är en av dom som inte sett den här serien, men det hindrar ju förstås inte mig från att tycka mycket om ett lack som är inspirerat av den.

Lacken har en blå jellybase med massor av silver och blå glitter i. Det blir som en liten stjärnhimmel på naglarna faktiskt. Det var mycket smidigt att måla med och torkade fort. Jag har fyra lager på naglarna, men det känns absolut inte klumpigt på något sätt. Tre kanske hade räckt, men jag tycker nog ändå att det sista fick lacket att få lite mer dimension. Topplackat har jag också gjort vilket jag tycker är nödvändigt här för att verkligen få fram djupet i lacket.

Det här tycker jag är väldigt fint. Fin mörkblå färg och en underbar effekt av glittret.

Did you think I had forgotten about you today? No, but first I have driven my son to the trainstation. He has been home with us for three weeks doing his practice but today it was time for him to go home to his place again. It always feels empty and I get a bit sad when he goes home. After that I have been to the hairdresser and to a Christmas fair.

But of course you should get this week's readers' choice too. You chose Lyn B Designs Time And Relative Dimension In Space for me,  a long enough name one can think. First polish from this brand for me. 

TARDIS is obvious a Doctor Who inspired polish and I admit that I'm one of those who have not seen that show but it does of course not stop me from liking a polish inspired by it pretty much. 

The polish has a blue jelly base with lots of silver and blue glitter. It does look like a starry sky on the fingernails actually. It was very easy to paint with and dried quickly. I have four layers on the nails, but it doesn't feel thich or bumpy or anything. Three might have been enough, but I think nonetheless that the last gave the polish a bit more dimension. I also have topcoat on which I think is necessary here to really bring out the depth of the polish.

I think this is very nice. Nice dark blue color and a wonderful effect of the glitter.

Purrfect Pawlish - Merry Christmas

Idag släpper Purrfect Pawlish sin Holiday 2015 kollektion och jag passar på att visa det sista lacket ur den för att fira detta.

Det här är Merry Christmas, det lacket som jag kanske trodde jag skulle tycka bäst om av dom här för att det är så gallet glittrigt och i perfekta julfärger. Men så blev det inte riktigt. På egen hand tog det mig fyra lager att bygga upp det här vilket blev lite klumpigt och det gillar jag inte.

Däremot är det helt underbart till glittergradients som jag har på bilderna över Warm And Cosy eller som layering över andra lack. På sticka testade jag både över rött, svart och guld och alla funkar väldigt fint måste jag säga, så om ni som jag älskar färgerna i det här lacket är ett hett tips att lägga det över ett annat lack.

Torktiden var bra på det i alla fall och som sagt det jag inte gillade med lacket går ju lätt att åtgärda genom att inte använda det på egen hand. För ett glitterlack som ser ut som julsaga är ju lite svårt att motstå faktiskt.

Today is the release day for Purrfect Pawlishs Holiday 2015 collection and I take the opportunity to show the final polish from that to celebrate this.

This is Merry Christmas, the polish that I thought maybe I would like the best from the collection because it's such a glitterbomb in the perfect Christmas colors. But that didn't turn out to be the case. On its own, it took me four layers to build up to a acceptable opacity and that made it feel thick on the nails and that is a feeling I don't like.

However, it is absolutely wonderful for glittergradients like the one I have the pictures over Warm and Cosy or layerd over another polish. I tested both over red, black and gold on a stick and they all works very nicely, I must say, so if you like me love the colors in this polish I advise you to use it as a layering polish. 

The drying time was good and as I said the only thing that I didn't like about this was that it got to thick and clumsy on it's own but of course that isn't a big problem just use it for layering and the problem is gone. Because after all a glitter polish that looks like a Christmas story is difficult to resist.
