The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Holiday Season

Det blir mera jul/vinterinspirerad nail art hos mig idag. Temat hos The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Holiday Season och i Twelve Days of Christmas så var temat Snowman alltså ser jag till att kombinera dessa två.

Jag tror det är Color Club Over The Moon som det blåa hololacket heter. Min etikett är skadad, men det är det blåa från de första Halo Hues som Color Club släppte i alla fall. Zoya Purity har jag som vanligt använt till den vita basen och mönstret kommer från ÜberChic Christmas 02 plattan.

Först när jag var färdig med manikyren insåg jag att det här blev ju ganska Frozen inspirerat med det något isblå lacket och snögubben, men vad gör väl det. Jag är i alla fall nöjd och glad.

You will get more Christmas / winter inspired nail art from me today. The theme of The Nail Challenge Collaborative this month is the Holiday Season and in the Twelve Days of Christmas it's Snowman today therefore I decided I could combine these two.

I think it's Color Club Over The Moon that I've used for the blue nails. My label is damaged, but it's the blue from the first Halo Hues collection that Color Club released. As usual it's Zoya Purity that I've used for the white base and the pattern comes from the ÜberChic Christmas 02 plate.

When I was finished with this manicure I realized that it became pretty Frozen inspired because of that icy blue holo and the snowman, but who cares. I'm really satisfied and happy with this.

Reader's Choice - Color Club Pinky Swear

Lördag, solen strålar och fjärilarna fladdrar överallt i trädgården!

Ska strax hoppa in i duschen och göra mig redo för en ny dag, men först vill jag lägga ut veckans reader's choice.

När ni röstade senast så blev det Color Club Pinky Swear som vann. Ett lack som jag trodde hade en klar bas med glitter i blått, cerise och silver. Och det kanske den är också, men jag ville lägga det här över ett vitt lack och de blåa microglittren gjorde att det ser ut som ett ljusblått lack med glitter i.

Inte alls dumt på något sätt, för jag tycker det blev riktigt fint, men lite smått överraskad blev jag allt. Jag har alltså lagt ett lager med Pinky Swear över Zoya Purity. Glittren spred ut sig riktigt bra och torktiden var ok. Jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Det här blev inte alls dumt även om det inte blev som jag förväntat mig. Fint, men kanske inte ett favoritglitter. Kan nog tänka mig att det är kanon att använda till en glittergradient.

Det blev blåa lack som ni får rösta på till nästa vecka för det bestämde min lille gubbe.

I should really get ready for a new day, but first I want to write and publish this week's Reader's Choice.

When you voted last time it was Color Club Pinky Swear that won. A polish that I thought had a clear base with glitter in blue, pink and silver. And perhaps it has, but I wanted to put this over a white base and the blue microglitters made it look like a light blue polish with glitter.

Not bad at all in any way, because I think it turned out really nice, but a little surprising. So I have added a layer of Pinky Swear over Zoya Purity. The glitters spread out really well and the drying time was ok. I have a layer of topcoat over in the pictures.

This was not bad at all although it was not as I expected. Nice, but perhaps not a favorite glitter. I can imagine that this is great for a glittergradient.

For next weeks poll you get to vote on blue polishes because that is what my husband said when I asked him to say a color. 

Golden Oldie Challenge - Holo

Veckans tema är holo och det fanns det ju en del att välja av, men min tanke med den här utmaningen är ju att försöka använda dom där lacken som stått oanvända längst och när jag kollade under fliken holo på bloggen så letade jag upp ett av de första hololacken jag visade här.

Det var i April 2012 som Color Club Wild At Heart fick äran att visas här första gången, nu en sisådär fyra år senare är det dags igen.

Det här är ett mörkt lila lack som inte har en superstark holo precis, men en fin en ändå tycker jag. Det är bra att jobba med och två lager räcker. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Wild At heart släpptes redan 2009 av Color Club vilket får mig att känna att dom var rätt tidigt ute med holo bland mainstream märkena. Visst China Glaze hade ju släppt kollektioner, men så vanligt var det ändå inte med holo vid den här tidpunkten. Jag kan också tycka att det här har blivit lite bortglömt. Nä, om man kollar på uppsjön av holos som finns nu är det inte ett dugg unikt, men då borde det fått mer uppmärksamhet kan man tycka.

Jag tycker i alla fall att det är väl värt att bära igen, snygg färg, holo är alltid kul oavsett styrkan på det och ett lack som fortfarande går att få tag på till vettiga priser.

 

This week's theme is holo and there was a lot of polishes to choose from, but my thought with this challenge is of course to try to use those that was the longest time since I wore last and when I checked under the tab holo at the blog I found one of the first holo I showed here.

It was in April 2012 and it's Color Club Wild At Heart that was honored to appear here for the first time, now about four years later it's time again.

This is a dark purple polish that doesn't have a super strong holo, but a nice one anyway I think. It's good to work with and two layers is enough. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

Wild at Heart was released back in 2009 by Color Club, which makes me feel that they were pretty early with an holo among mainstream brands. Certainly China Glaze had released their OMG collection, but it wasn't that usual with holos at this time. I also think that this has become a bit forgotten. No, if you look at the magnitude of Holos available now, it's not at all unique, but back then I think it should have been given more attention.

I think in any case that it's well worth to wear again, great color, holo is always fun no matter the strength of it and a polish that is still possible to get at sensible prices.

Golden Oldie Challenge - Purple #2

Det blir ytterligare ett lila Golden Oldie lack den här veckan och dessutom i kombination med Sminkans inofficiella holofredag.

Jag har plockat fram Color Club Eternal Beauty som är ett ganska blekt lila med helt galna regnbågar. Det är dessutom underbart att måla med och täcker på ett lager om man tar lite tjockare vilket jag gjorde. På bilderna har jag topplack också.

Dels så gillar jag verkligen färgen på dom här, jag gillar att det är ett mainstream märke som gett ut underbara holos, formulan är perfekt och som grädden på moset funkar hela den här kollektionen alldeles utmärkt att stämpla med.

Faktum är att jag inte kan hitta någonting som jag inte gillar med det här lacket.

 

This week you will get one more purple Golden Oldie polish and also in combination with Sminkans unofficial holofriday.

I have picked up Color Club Eternal Beauty that is a rather pale purple with crazy rainbows. Moreover, it is wonderful to paint with and covers in one coat if you take a little thicker which I did. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I really like the color of this polish, I like that it's a mainstream brand that has a collection with wonderful Holos, the formula is perfect and as icing on the cake the whole collection works perfect for stamping.

In fact I can't find anything that I don't like about this polish.

My Top 5 Purple Polishes!

Att plocka ut sina fem favoriter av vilken färg det än kan gälla var minsann inte enkelt, men jag har ändå tänkt att jag ska göra ett par inlägg med mina favoriter. Jag hade givetvis kunnat välja topp 10, men det blir lite mycket tycker jag.

Jag valde att börja med mina Lila lack eftersom lila var den färg som fick mig att börja älska nagellack. Det finns andra lack än dom jag visar idag som kanske egentligen är vackrare, men dom här är ändå dom 5 som jag gillar mycket och flera av dom betyder något extra för mig.

Jag har valt att inte visa en hel manikyr av varje lack. Det finns redan i tidigare poster som jag länkar till, utan istället gjort en skittle så ni ändå får se hur dom här ser ut på naglarna.

Så låt mig börja med ett lack som jag misstänker kanske inte bara finns på min topp 5 lista.

To pick only five of your favorites regardless on what color it is wasn't an easy task, but I will try to do it and share with you. I could of course had chosen to show my top 10 but I think that was a bit too much. 

I chose to start with my top purple polishes because that was the color that started my love for nailpolishes. There are other polishes besides the ones that I show you today that maybe is more beautiful but these five are the ones that I love very much and some of them means something special to me. 

I have chosen not to show a full manciure of every polish. There are already post about them that I will link too. Instead I have made kind of a favorite skittle so that you will see them on the nails as well as the bottles. 

So lets beginn with a polish that I suspect would be in many others favorit lists as well.

Zoya Aurora, ett helt underbart lila lack med massa prismatiskt glitter. Det här lacket ingår i Zoyas Ornament kollektion som faktiskt var den första kollektionen som jag köpte hela. Jag har sålt ett av dom lacken, men övriga är helt ljuvliga. Det här är ett lack som jag gärna sträcker mig efter när jag inte riktigt vet vad jag ska måla med.

Zoya Aurora a wonderful purple polish with lots and lots of prismatic glitter. This polish is part of Zoya's Ornament collection that actually is the first collection that I bought a whole set of. I have sold one of them but the rest is adorable and will stay with me. This is one of my to go polishes. You know the ones that you reach for when you can't deciede on what to wear. 

Color Club Eternal Beauty. Det finns flera anledningar till att det här hamnade på listan. Först och främst för att det är en vacker lila med helt galna regnbågar. Sen är det ju så att lack som har trevliga egenskaper när man ska måla med dom gärna hittar en plats i mitt hjärta. Det här lacket har nästan allt. Vacker färg, holo, kanon att måla med och det är alldeles utmärkt till stamping. Är det konstigt att jag gillar det? Nä, inte speciellt.

Color Club Eternal Beauty. There are several reasons why this made it to this listt. First and foremost because it is a beautiful purple with crazy rainbows. And for me a polish that is really easy to paint with has a little bit easier to find a place in my heart. This polish has almost everything. Beautiful color, holo, amazing formula and it is really excellent for stamping. Is it strange that I like it? No, not particularly.

Det här lacket har en speciell plats i mitt hjärta. Det är NYX Girls Between Mauve and Purple. Dels för att det var med bland dom första paketen jag vågade beställa från USA, men framför allt för att det fanns med i den första manikyren jag visade här på bloggen. Ja och så gillar jag ju färgen också förstås.

This polish really has a special place in my heart. It's NYX Girls Between Mauve and Purple. Partly because it was among the first polishes that I dared to order from the US but mostly because this was used in the very first manicure that I posted here on my blog. Well I really do like the color as well. 

OPI Honk If You Love OPI fick jag med som bonus vid en tidningsprenumeration och tänkte att jo det är nog snyggt, men hade nog inte räknat med att jag skulle gilla det så mycket som jag gör. Mörkt, vampigt och snyggt.

OPI Honk If You Love OPI is a polish that I got as a bonus when I started a subscription for a magazine. I thought it looked nice but I didn't think I would love it as much as I do. Dark, vampy and gorgeous. 

Och så A-England Avalon. Åh vilken skönhet det här är! Och vad den är svår att fånga på bild. Den här var ett sånt där lack som jag verkligen suktade efter och jag älskar det fortfarande. Ett underbart lack från ett märke som blivit lite favorit hos mig.

And of course A-England Avalon. Oh what a beauty this is! And how almost impossible is this to capture on a photo. This was one of those polishes that I knew I just had to have. And I still love it! This might also be one of the first Indie polishes that I bought.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - 3d Anniversary - Recreation #3

Söndagarna har tydligen blivit min inläggsfria dag eller det har varit så ett par veckor nu i alla fall. Hela lördagen var jag på Kick-off med jobbet och söndagen ägnades åt loppis och lite swatching.

Idag ska jag visa er månadens tredje inlägg i The Nail Challenge Collaboratives 3 års jubileum där vi återskapar en tidigare manikyr från någon av utmaningarna. Den här kommer från en månad när temat var pastel och det var Brandy på Brandy's Nailtastic Blog som gjorde originalet som ni hittar här.

Lacken jag använt är: China Glaze Sweet Hook och Tart-y For The Party, Color Club Eternal Beauty och glittret är HM Purple Glam. Mönstret kommer från Bundle Monster 314. Det ända jag inte använt samma som Brandy är glittret i övrigt är allt annat samma färger, men inte i riktigt samma ordning.

Sundays have apparently become my post free day or there have been so a few weeks now, anyway. The entire Saturday I was at a kick-off with my job and Sunday was devoted to flea market and some swatching.

Today I'll show you the third post in this months The Nail Challenge Collaborative three year anniversary where we recreate a previous manicure from any of the challenges. This comes from a month when the theme was pastel and it was Brandy at Brandy's Nailtastic Blog that made the original that you can find here.

The polishes I used are: China Glaze Sweet Hook and Tart-y For The Party, Color Club Eternal Beauty and the glitter is HM Purple Glam. The pattern comes from Bundle Monster 314. The only thing I have not used the same as Brandy is the glitter otherwise everything else is the same color, but not in quite the same order.

Eternal Swirls!

Ibland får man en snilleblixt och det anser jag att jag fick när jag målat med Artdeco 144. Det kändes som att det behövdes piggas upp lite grann och jag fick en bild i mitt huvud hur fint det skulle bli med någon typ av stämpling med hjälp av Color Club Eternal Beauty över.

När man får sådana där idéer är det bara att genast genomföra dom. Just den här gången var en sån där när allting bara blev precis som jag ville faktiskt. Jag plockade fram Eternal Beauty och hittade ett mönster på en platta från Mash med nummer 04 som jag kände skulle bli bra. Och det blev det också!

Jag är så grymt nöjd med den här manikyren. Den blev faktiskt precis som jag hade tänkt mig den eller kanske lite bättre faktiskt.

Sometimes an idea just pops up in your head that you need to try out at once. And that is what happened when I had painted with Artdeco 144. I felt like spicing up that manicure a bit and I got a picture in my head how nice it would be with any type of stamping using Color Club Eternal Beauty.

When you get those ideas you just immediately implement them. This time it was one of those times when everything just became just as I wanted it. I picked up Eternal Beauty and found a pattern on a plate from Mash with number 04 which I felt would be fine. And boy was I right!

I am so incredibly satisfied with this manicure. It actually turned out exactly as I had imagined it, or maybe a bit better actually.

Skittle!

Igår var temat på jobbet Cirkus, jag gillar inte clowner. Faktum är att Cirkus är inget som lockar mig i huvud taget, men något måste jag ju ändå hitta på. Och när jag tänker på Cirkus så tänker jag på färgglatt.

Alltså fick det bli en Skittle på naglarna. En manikyr som alltid är lika kul att fundera ihop tycker jag. Den här gången ville jag göra en med krämlack för av någon anledning tycker jag nästan det är finast till den här typen av manikyr.

Lacken jag har använt mig är från tumme: Essence Doc, Essence Snow White, Orly Fresh, Color Club Almost Famous och Essence Grumpy.

Jag fick en del glada kommentarer om den här manikyren och man kan ju faktiskt inte annat än att bli glad när man ser den.

Yesterday the theme at my work was Circus. I don't like clowns acutally I don't like the Circus at all. It's nothing that I have ever felt any passion about. But I had to do something and when I think of Circus I think colorful.

So it had to be a Skittle. A manicure that I always find fun to plan. This time I wanted to do one with only creme polishes. Don't ask me why, but i do think that skittles looks best with cremes. 

I have used from the thumb: Essence Doc, Essence Snow White, Orly Fresh, Color Club Almost Famous and Essence Grumpy.

I got some happy comments about this manicure and you can't help but smile when you see this kind of nails.

MoYou Flowers

Jag tror minsann jag har kommit in i en liten stamping period. Att få hem nya plattor är ju alltid roligt och MoYou plattorna är mycket bra dessutom.

Det här mönstret kommer från MoYou Collection 08 och som vanligt så är det Rainbow Honey NYX som jag har som bas, sen kunde jag inte låta bli att testa hur det skulle bli med ett galet hololack att göra mönstret med. Jag tog fram Color Club Kismet och började på.

Jaha, det blev nästan för bra. Alltså Kismet är så mycket holo i att det nästan blev svårt att se hur mönstret såg ut. Jag är ändå nöjd med resultatet även om jag nog skulle valt ett mindre detaljerat när jag använde det här lacket.

Men jag måste ju också säga att det var grymt bra att stämpla med så är ni nyfikna på att stämpla med holo. Testa något av lacken från Halo Hue kollektionen.

I do believe I have entered a stamping mode! To get new stampingplates is always fun and MoYou plates are very good indeed. 

This pattern comes from MoYou Collection 08 and as usual, it's Rainbow Honey NYX that I have as a base, then I could not help but to test how it would be with a crazy holopolish for the pattern. I took out Color Club Kismet and started my mission. 

Well, that was almost too good. Thus Kismet is so much holo in that it almost became difficult to see how the pattern looked. I'm still happy with the result even though I should probably have chosen a less detailed pattern when using kismet for it. 

But I have to also say that it was awesome to work with. If you are curious to stamp with holo. Try any of the polishes from the Halo Hue collection.

Color Club - Rev'd Up

Jag vill bara börja med att säga: Volbeat!! Alltså början av veckan spenderades i Göteborg med bland annat konsertbesök. Tredje gången jag ser dessa danskar och absolut den bästa, faktiskt helt suveränt. Så nu var det sagt.

Nu till ytterligare ett lack som stått och väntat länge i min låda. Color Club Rev'd Up. Ett lila skimmer lack som lutar mer åt rosa än åt blått. Faktiskt en jättefin färg. Ingen unik, men alla lack kan ju inte vara det.

Formulan var lite så där på det här lacket. Inte svårjobbad, men ändå blev det liksom lite strimmigt. Jag la på fyra lager innan jag tyckte det var tillräckligt jämt och bra. Inget topplack på bilderna. På plussidan är att det torkade väldigt fort.

I just want to start by saying: Volbeat! In the beginning of this week we spent two days in Gothenburg including a concert. This was the third time I saw these Danes and certainly the best of the three, it was actually quite superb. Just had to say it!

Now for another polish that has been waiting a long time in my drawer. Color Club Rev'd Up. A purple shimmer polish that leans more towards pink than the blue. Actually a really nice color. No unique, but all polishes can't be that.

The formula was a bit tricky on this polish. Not difficult to paint with but it became uneven and a bit streaky on the nail. I put on four layers before I thought it was enough to cover on all nail. No topcoat in the pictures. On the plus side is that it dried very quickly.

Holofredag - Color Club Over The Moon

Ännu en fredag är här och jag visar återigen ett lack som visats hur många gånger som helst runtom i bloggvärlden, men det här är ju för bra för att inte visas en gång till.

Color Club Over The Moon blir mitt bidrag till denna veckas holofredag. Ytterligare ett lack som jag fick via födelsedagsgruppen. Och ytterligare ett lack som stod på min önskelista.

Färgen är väl kanske inte speciellt unik, kanske inte ens en färg som jag normalt sett faller för, men i det här lacket är regnbågarna så häftiga och det är så suveränt lätt att lacka med att jag inte kan låta bli att älska det.

Ganska blekt blå, men ändå trevlig på något sätt. Är inte supernöjd med bilderna, det var faktiskt för soligt när jag tog dom här!

Another Friday is here and I again I show a polish that has been shown endless number of times around the blogosphere, but this is too good not to be shown again.

Color Club Over The Moon will be my contribution to this week's holofriday​​. Another polish that I got through the birthday group. And another polish that was on my wish list.

The color is perhaps not particularly unique, maybe not even a color that I normally go for, but in this polish the rainbows are so cool and it is so supremely easy to paint with that I can not help but love it.

Pleasant pale blue, but still enjoyable anyway. I'm not super happy with the pictures, it was actually too sunny when I took them!

That was it. All colors has been used as the base for at least one manicure. All colors have been used more than one time in different ways. I'm most pleased with manicure no 13.
