5 Polishes 14 Manicures - The last one, the one with the arrows!

Då har mitt lilla tema kommit till sista manikyren och jag kan säga så här: Det finns inte ett av dom här lacken som jag inte kan tänka mig att använda igen. Det var inte heller slut på idéer på mer manikyrer med dom här lacken.

Som ni ser av dagens inlägg så blev det inte en enda manikyr med stamping. Det skyller jag på Angelica :) Varför då? Jo, för idag är det ju även Nailart Sunday och temat var Spets. Det kan ju tolkas lite hur man vill och först så tänkte jag faktiskt göra ett spetsmönster med hjälp av stamping, men sen ändrade jag mig för om jag skulle ha någon stamping i någon av manikyrerna i det här temat så skulle det varit med mina Depend brickor bara för att återigen visa att det går att få tag på grejer i vanliga affärer. Själv hittade jag ett jätteställ med nailart grejer på Ica Kvantum i Växjö.

Tillbaka till ämnet, det fanns inga passande mönster på dom brickorna, så hjärncellerna fick jobba lite och vips så konstaterade jag att pilar har ju spetsar och pilar finns i många olika färger så jag får avsluta dom här 14 manikyrerna med en där alla fem färgerna är representerade. Vilket jag tycker känns väldigt bra.

Själv tycker jag det här blev en rolig manikyr. Jag är nöjd.

So the last manicure in my 5 Polishes 14 Manicures theme is what I will show you today. And I can tell you this: There is not one of the polishes that I can't imagine using again. And I was certinaly not out of ideas for more manicures either. 

As you can see with today's post there has not been single manicure with stamping. I blame Angelica for that :) Why? Well, today it's also Nailart Sunday and the theme was spets that is a Swedish word that can mean lace or tip or peak or point and actually a lot more. So you might understand that this theme can be interpreted in many ways. First I thought I'd actually make a lace patterns using stamping, but then I changed my mind because if I would have any stamping in any manicure in this theme, it would have been with my Depend plates just to show once again that it is possible to get your stuff in regular stores. I found a giant rack of nail art stuff on Ica Kvantum in Växjö, that is the city i live nearby and Kvantum is like a supermarket. 

Back to the topic, there were no matching patterns on those plates,  so I had to let my brain cells work a little and suddenly I realized that arrows have the points and arrows are available in many different colors so I could do the last of the 14 manicure using all five colors that has been represented. Which I think feels very good.

Personally, I think this was a fun manicure. I'm pleased.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Beyond Dots

Äntligen fredag! Igår var vi och bestämde belysning till badrummet och ikväll är jag och yngste grabben hemma själv. Film och något gott planeras. 

Mitt tema börjar så sakta närma sig sitt slut, men ett par dagar till får ni stå ut med det. Idag är det ju även Kerstins holofredag och jag kombinerar de båda. 

Lacket är ju i och för sig samma som jag visade förra fredagen, men med en liten uppfräschning. Det är alltså Color Club Beyond som återigen pryder mina naglar och jag kan lätt säga att jag har inga problem med att bära det här många gånger igen. 

Jag har sen lagt lite prickar med China Glaze Snap My Dragon, men för att inte bara göra en likadan prickig manikyr som igår så la på en mindre prick med Beyond i dom andra prickarna så det ser ut som en gammal grammofonskiva ungefär. 

MatildaSari och Fru Vesa är också med så klart!

Finally Friday! Yesterday we went to buy all the lightning for our bathroom and tonight me and the youngest son has the house for ourself. I think it will be a movie and something nice to eat.

My theme is slowly coming to an end, but there is still a few days for you to put up with it. Today is also Kerstins holofriday ​​and I combine the two.

The polish's is  the same that I showed you last Friday, but with a little refreshening. So this is Color Club Beyond that again adorn my nails and I can easily say that I have no problem with wearing it many times again.

I then added some dots with China Glaze Snap My Dragon, but in order to not only make a similar spotted manicure as yesterday I put down a small dot with Beyond in the other dots so it almost looks like an old gramophone record.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Holo dots

Ni som följt mig ett tag vet ju att jag älskar prickar! Och självklart är det en återkommande manikyr hos mig en som jag absolut tycker hör hemma i den här lilla utmaningen med tanke på att du egentligen kan använda vad som helst för att göra prickar. Ändar på pennor, nålar eller det är väl egentligen bara fantasin som sätter hinder för vad du skulle kunna använda. 

Alltså återigen en manikyr som vem som helst som känner för att vara lite kreativ kan fixa. Just den här är gjord med Nubar Lemon Sherbert som bas och så gjorde jag lite holoprickar med hjälp av Color Club Beyond på. 

Älskar färgkombon och holo är alltid rätt i vilken form det än är!

Jag ska ta och kolla vad MatildaSari och Fru Vesa har hittat på också.

If you have followed me for a while you already know that I love manicures with dots and that it's a kind of nailart that I keep returning too. And of course that is a kind of nailart that I think fits perfect in to this theme. Why? Because this is so easy to do and you don't need any special tools (if you don't want to) you could use the end of a pen or a needle or anything that your imagination comes up with. 

So again a manicure that anyone who is a little creative can make. This one is made with Nubar Lemon Sherbert as the base and dots with Color Club Beyond. A little holo is never wrong!

And I will take a look at what Fru Vesa and MatildaSari has come up with. 

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - The Skittle

Alltså det här kanske känns som lite fusk, men faktum kvarstår att en Skittle är en typ av nailart och en kul sådan så varför inte visa att det faktiskt är helt ok att använda olika lack på alla naglarna.

Det har som ni säkert vet dessutom varit en hel del snack om just den här typen av regnbågsfärgade naglar sista tiden.

Jag tycker i alla fall att det här är en rolig manikyr som man blir glad av. Alltså har jag använt alla 5 lacken i samma nailart idag.

På tummen Color Club Beyond, pekfingret Isadora Poolside, långfinger China Glaze Snap My Dragon, ringfingret Zoya Josie och lillfingret Nubar Lemon Sherbert.

Och Fru Vesa har ni koll på också va?

So this may seem like a little cheating, but the fact remains that a Skittle is a type of nailart and a fun such so why not show that it is actually ok to use different paints on all the nails.

It has as you might know also been a lot of talk about just this kind of rainbow nails lately at least here in Sweden.

I think in any case, this is a fun manicure that makes you happy. Thus, I have used all 5 polishes in the same nailart today.

On my thumbs Color Club Beyond, forefinger Isadora Poolside, middle China Glaze Snap My Dragon, ring finger Zoya Josie and pinkie Nubar Lemon Sherbert.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Color Club Beyond

Då var det fredag och manikyr nummer fem av mina 14. Fredag innebär ju också Skimmerskuggans holofredag så självklart passar jag på att visa det enda hololacket av de 5 jag valde ut nämligen Color Club Beyond.

Givetvis fanns det en anledning till att det blev det här mörka lacket, för jag ville ha något grått eller svart med. Dels så är Color Club ett märke som man kan få tag på i Sverige. I vissa riktigt bra ICA Maxi eller Kvantum hittar man ibland märket. Det dyker upp hela tiden på Tradera och även i vissa andra butiker. Sen kan man givetvis hitta det på utländska siter till riktigt vettiga priser.

Men det var inte bara därför som jag valde det här. Dels så är det svart/grått och har fantastiskt bra egenskaper för att vara ett holo. Inga tendenser till holosjuka (alltså att färgen dras med av penseln) täcker kanonbra på två lager och torkar fort. Detta betyder ju då givetvis att det är som klippt och skuret för nailart.

Sen finns det ju andra egenskaper med det som inte heller är så dumma. Som till exempel att det är suveränt snyggt och att regnbågarna som bildas när det i lite ljus är helt otroliga. Alltså två lager och lite Seche är vad som syns på bilderna.

En sak till förresten. Color Club har en förbaskat bra pensel.

Nu är det bara ett av "baslacken" kvar att visa och det kommer imorgon tänkte jag. Och som vanligt får ni ju inte glömma att titta in hos Fru Vesa.

So it's Friday and manicure number five of my 14. Friday also means that it's Skimmerskuggans holofriday ​​so obviously I take the opportunity to show you the only holo of the five. Namely Color Club Beyond.

Of course there was a reason that I choosed this dark polish, because I wanted one of the five to be something gray or black. One of the reason that I choosed a polish from Color Club is that it's a brand that you can find in Sweden. Sometimes in really good supermarkets. It pops up all the time on eBay and also in some other stores. Then you can of course find it on foreign sites at really reasonable prices.

But it was not the only reason why I chose this. First, it is black / gray and has fantastic qualities to be a holo. No holosickness here, cover perfectly on two coats and dries quickly. This means that it fit perfect for nailart. 

Then there are other features with it that is kind of nice. The fact that it's a really beautiful polish and that the rainbows formed when in direct light is incredible. Two layers and one with Seche is what you see in the pictures.

One more thing by the way. Color Club has a damn good brush.

Now it's just one of the "base polishes" left to show and you will see that tomorrow. And don't forgett to stop by my frind Anna at Fru Vesa to see what she has done.

Påsktema / Easter Theme and Nailart Sunday!

Idag så blir den en sammanslagning av mitt eget påsktema och Lelacks Nailart Sunday som nämligen hade temat Påsk.

Jag gav mig på att göra små kycklingar på naglarna. Till detta har jag använt mig av Color Club Almost Famous och akrylfärg.

Helt klart så kommer jag testa det här igen. Det var lite pilligt, men roligt och så glada miner är det sällan man  får av kassörskorna på Maxi som när jag skulle betala med mina små kycklingar på naglarna.

Jag känner att jag har problem med att ta tillräckligt mycket akrylfärg. Tycker det ser jättebra ut ändå tills jag fotar och ser att det nog kunde varit lite mera. Nåväl, jag kände mig nöjd och glad i alla fall!

Ha en härlig Påskdag alla vänner. Det ska jag ha i alla fall med lite våfflor framåt eftermiddagen.

Today I will bring together my own Easter theme and Lelacks Nailart Sunday that this weel had the theme Easter.

I went on to do small chickens on the nails. For this, I used Color Club Almost Famous and acrylic paint.

Clearly, I will try this again. It was a bit fiddly, but fun and I got so much happy faces from friends and from the cashiers at my supermarket as I was paying with my little chickens on the nails.

I feel that I have a problem with taking enough acrylic paint. Think it looks great until I take the photos and realize that I could probably have taken a bit more paint. Well, I felt satisfied and happy anyway!

Nailart Sunday - Frukt / Fruit

Denna söndagens tema är Frukt, tack för det Lelack! Eller i alla fall så var min första tanke att Yes, nu ska jag göra mina jordgubbsnaglar! Ändå tills jag tre sekunder eller kanske fyra sekunder senare konstaterade att jordgubbar det är ju ett bär.

Jaha, då fick det ju bli något annat och varför inte en av mina favoritfrukter som intas varje dag på förmiddagsrasten. Nämligen Banan!

Fast en väldig massa bananer på naglarna kände jag skulle bli alldeles för rörigt så det fick bli en accentnagel istället. Lacken jag har använt mig av är: Zoya Raven till dom svarta naglarna och Color Club Almost Famous till accentnageln.

Bananerna dom har jag gjort med hjälp av Cheeky plattan CH42 där jag hittade lämpligt mönster som jag la på med Konad svart speciallack. Tyvärr så drog topplacket med sig den svarta färgen lite, men inte så mycket så jag kände att jag var tvungen att göra om.

Riktigt kul att stämpla lite grann, är rätt länge sedan jag gjorde det.

Jag måste nog säga att jag tyckte det här blev en riktigt kul manikyr. Vacker, nja, det kan väl diskuteras men rolig och helt klart inte något som någon annan på jobbet hade likadan.

This Sunday Lelack gave us Fruit as the theme! And my first thought was: Yes, I can do my strawberry nails that I had been thinking about. Well at least until three seconds or maybe even four seconds later when I realized that strawberrys are not a fruit it's a berry.

Ok, then it was time to change the plan. Instead it became a manicure with my favorite fruit. Bananas. Something that I eat every day at my work. 

But I felt that having bananas on every nail was going to be too much so it became a banan accent nail. And I must say that I like this manicure. It might not be beautiful, but fun. And I can asure you that no other at my office had the same on their nails.

I used Zoya Raven for the black nails and Color Club Almost Famous for the accent nail. The Banana pattern is found on Cheeky plate no. 42.

Holofredag - Color Club Cosmic Fate

Det är holofredag hos Kerstin och jag tänker visa det sista av lacken som jag köpt från Color Club Halo Hues 2013 kollektion.

Också det av lacken som jag tycker minst om. Det är inte fult på något sätt, men lite tråkigt i färgen tycker jag allt. Jag vill ju så gärna ha ett riktigt orange färgat holo, så har ni tips, lämna gärna en kommentar. Istället blir det mer persikofärgat.

För jag hade nämligen hoppats att det skulle vara lite starkare i färgen än så här, vilket jag egentligen borde vetat, men ibland så kan man inte låta bli att köpa för att försöka överbevisa sig själv.

Precis som med dom andra två lacken från kollektionen så är formulan helt underbar. Även om detta är en ljus och lite svag färg så täcker det ändå på två lager. Torkar fort som en orkan och regnbågarna... Ja, dom är ju bara underbara! Så jag gillar det, även om det inte kommer bli någon favorit.

It's holofriday at Skimmerskuggans blog and I will show you the last of the polishes that I have bought so far from Color Club Halo Hues 2013 collection.

Also the one that I like the least of them. It's not ugly by any means, but a little dull in the color, I really wanted a orange holo so bad, so if you have a tips on such a holo for me, please comment. But this turned out to be more peachy.

In fact I had hoped it would be a bit stronger in color than this, which I really should have known, but sometimes you can not help but buy it anyway. Maybe you were wrong or all the swatches were not right....

As with the other two polishes from the collection the was formula absolutely wonderful. Although this is a light and slightly weak color it still covers in only two layers. Dries fast as a hurricane and the rainbows in it... Yes, they're just gorgeous! So I like it, although it will not be a favorite.

Holofredag - Color Club Eternal Beauty

Fredag och inget inplanerat ikväll. Känns riktigt skönt.

Denna den första av Skimmerskuggans Holofredagar i Mars bjuder jag på ett lack som visats på många bloggar redan, men vad gör väl det när det är så himlans vackert.

Color Club Eternal Beauty borde nästan få ett pris tycker jag. För hur många lack besitter egenskaperna att både vara otroligt vackra, superenkla att måla med, täcker på två lager och torkar dessutom fort. Nä, just det, inte så många. Men alla dom här egenskaperna har det här lacket och om ni hört mig gnälla om att det är för mesiga färger på hela Halo Hues serien, så glöm vad jag sagt. Det spelar inte någon roll när alla andra egenskaperna är så bra och med dom här regnbågarna så skulle det nästan få vara genomskinligt och ändå vara fint.

Som sagt två lättlackade lager och ett lager med Fast Forward över är vad jag har. Titta och njut!

It's Friday and nothing planned for the evening. Feels kind of good actually. 

This is the first of Skimmerskuggans Holofridays in March and I will show you a polish that has been seen on several blogs already. But for me that doesn't really matter when the polish looks like this.

Color Club Eternal Beauty is worth a price! Why? Well how many polishes do you know that both are extremly beautiful, dries quickly, covers in two layers and are so easy to apply. That is my nomination for this   years polish Oscars. 

As you might know I have been a bit hard on the whole Halo Hues collection for being to weak in the colors. Please forget everything that I've said. They might be pale, but with all the qualitys mentioned above I think they could almost be transparent to make me happy. Just look at those rainbows and you will understand what I mean. 

Nailart Sunday - Streck/Lines

Den här söndagen har Lelack uppmanat oss att göra manikyrer innehållande streck. Alltså det här kan ju bli vad som helst! Ser verkligen fram emot att surfa runt och se vad alla har hittat på.

Själv gjorde jag först en manikyr som jag inte var nöjd med, ni kommer få se den en vacker dag.. Sen var det ju så att jag hade Color Club Kismet på häromdagen och den var så lockande så jag fixade till lite fina streck över detta underbara lack med ett annat underbart hololack nämligen A-England Dragon. 

Kismet är ju väldigt ljus grön och Dragon mer åt det olivgröna hållet. Jag tyckte det här blev fint även om jag var lite nervös över att försöka fota en manikyr gjord av två olika holon, men det gick ju bra det också.

Ibland är det inte dom mest avancerade manikyrerna som man är mest nöjd med. Den här är enkel, men effektiv och precis lagom mycket extra på.

This Sunday Lelack urged us to do manicures containing lines. Really looking forward to surf around and see what everyone is up to. Because lines can mean so many different things!

I made one manicure at first that I was not happy with, you are going to see it one day .. Then when I had put Color Club Kismet on the other day it looked so tempting so I tweaked some nice streaks across this gorgeous coat with another wonderful holo namely A-England Dragon.

Kismet's very light green and Dragon more to the olive green side. I thought this was fine although I was a little nervous about trying to take the pictures of a manicure made ​​of two different holos, but it went well too.

Sometimes it's not the most advanced manicures you make that you are most satisfied with. This is simple, but effective and just enough extra on.

Color Club - Kismet

Är det fredag idag? Nej, men jag tänker visa ett holo i alla fall, för jag kan inte hålla mig!

Fick för några dagar sedan hem tre lack från Color Clubs Halo Hues 2013 kollektion. Kände mig faktiskt lite besviken när jag såg flaskorna, för färgerna kändes fortfarande lite mesiga, men nu hade jag ju dom och då testar man.

Oj, vad jag snabbt bestämde mig för att det inte spelade någon roll att det visst kunde varit lite mer klös i färgen, för jösses vilket lack! Det är så mycket holoeffekt i det så man nästan får ha solglasögon på sig ju. Det var så kameran fick spelet lite grann när jag skulle fota! Färgen är ju då ljust ljust grön. Vårig och fin. Och inte ett dugg mesig i det här sammanhanget.

Kismet var dessutom hur trevlig som helst att måla med, även om jag tycker att penslarna nästan är lite smala. Två smidiga och väldigt fort torkande lager har jag på. På bilderna har jag inget topplack, för när jag målade på hade jag funderingar på att vidar  utveckla manikyren. Något som jag däremot tyckte var konstigt var att det dök upp en massa bubblor på ytan. Så där uppskattat, men det kan ju vara så att det kan undvikas om man topplackar.

Nu ser jag verkligen fram emot att prova dom andra två jag köpte och jag kan mycket väl tänka mig att köpa flera ur serien.

Is it Friday today? No, but I will show you a holo anyway, because I can't stop myself!

A few days ago I got a package with three of the Color Club's Halo Hues 2013 collection. Felt a bit disappointed when I saw the bottles, the colors still felt a little wimpy, but I had gotten the bottles and I was going to give it a go.

And boy am I glad I did! I quickly decided that it didn't matter that the colors could have been a bit darker because this polish is truly amazing! There is so much holo in it that you almost need to wear sunglasses on when you watch it. My camera almost flipped out a bit and had a hard time focusing when I was going to take the pictures. The color is a bright bright green. A very nice spring color. And not a bit wimpy in this context.

Kismet was also very nice paint with, although I think that the brush almost was a bit narrow. Two smooth and very fast drying layers is what I have on. In the pictures, I have no top coat, because when I painted, I had thoughts on the further development of this manicure. Something, however, I thought was strange was that it appeared a lot of bubbles on the surface. Not so appreciated, but it may well be that it can be avoided if you use topcoat.

Now I'm really looking forward to trying the other two I bought and I can very well imagine buying more from the series.

Color Club Nouveau Vintage

Color Club Nouveau Vintage kom med kollektionen Back to Boho förra året. Jag hittade på mitt Ica Kvantum och tyckte att det borde nog jag ha i min samling.

Behövde jag det då? Både ja och nej. Lacket är väldigt fint och det är väldigt trevligt att applicera. Torktiden kan jag inte klaga på och som sagt färgen är jättefin. Bronsig med guld, brunt och grönt. Det är bara det att jag känner att det här är lite likt OPI:s Warm & Fozzie som jag äger och älskar.

Är dom dupes? Nej, då det tror jag absolut inte. Jag har förstås inte gjort en jämförelse, men det tror jag i alla fall inte.

Färgen är en sån som jag tycker är väldigt fin, men inte använder speciellt ofta. Det är därför som frågan nog ändå är nej. Jag behöver inte det, men om man inte äger Warm & Fozzie eller för den delen Jessica's Gingersnap så är det här absolut en värdig kandidat att införskaffa.

Formulan är som sagt mycket trevlig. Jag har tre lager på och inget topplack på bilderna.

Color Club Nouveau Vintage came with the Back to Boho collection last year. I found it in at my local supermarket and thought I probably needed it in my collection.

Well did I needed it? Yes and no. The polish is very nice and it's very nice to apply. I have no complaints about the drying time and the color is beautiful. Bronze with gold, brown and green. It's just that I feel that this is a bit like OPI's Warm & Fozzie that I own and love.

Are they dupes? No, I think absolutely not. I of course did not make a comparison, but I think in any case not.

The color is one of those that I think are very nice, but do not use very often. That is why the answer to the question probably is no. I do not need it, but if you do not own the Warm & Fozzie or indeed Jessica's Gingersnap, this is definitely a worthy candidate to acquire.

The formula is as I said very nice. I have three layers on and no top coat in the pictures.

Nailart Sunday: Zoo

Nailart Sundays har även blivit tema söndagar vilket är riktigt kul! Man får tänka till lite grann. Fast den här veckan är det inte jag som tänkt till utan äldste sonen.

Veckans tema är Zoo och jag hade problem med vilket oranget lack jag skulle ha som bas till mina tiger naglar så jag försökte be familjen om hjälp när grabben frågar varför jag ska göra tigernaglar.  Zoo är ju en godissort brister han ut! Och det har han ju så rätt i :)

Jag vill börja med att säga att jag är ganska usel på att måla på frihand och inte har jag riktigt bra saker till det. Men jag blir mer och mer sugen på att köpa akrylfärg och bättre penslar. Alltså är kanske inte det här världens vackraste manikyr, men ganska kul och den fick en hel del uppmärksamhet på jobbet.

Det här är alltså min inspirationskälla. Nu är jag som sagt inte så värst bra på att måla på frihand så jag tog mig friheten att göra en tolkning. Jag har snott lite från både den gamla och nya varianten av ask.

Nå vad tycks? Ska jag införskaffa lite vettiga grejer och försöka lära mig sånt här eller ska jag lägga ner försöken?

Nailart Sundays are at the moment Nailart Theme Sundays and for this Sunday the theme is Zoo.

I knew what I wanted to do. Tiger nails. But I had a problem deciding on what orange polish I should use. I asked the family and my oldest son asked me why I was doing tiger nail for a Zoo Theme. Zoo is a candy he said. Why don't you do as the candybox on your nails? Well here in Sweden at least Zoo is a candy.

I'm not very good at all on doing this kind of things on free hand, but I thought I would give it a try at least. I think it would have been better with acrylic paint instead of polish. But I kind of like it anyway :)
