ABC Challenge - I = Essence I Love My Blue Jeans

Idag visar jag ett lack som jag köpte i Berlin hösten 2014 ett lack som jag hade rätt höga förväntningar på när jag satte mig och skulle måla med det här igår kväll.

Lacket är Essence I <3 My Blue Jeans ett lack som enligt flaskan ska ha en suede effekt. Alltså en mocka effekt.

Först och främst har det en mörkt blå färg. Som ett par riktigt nya blåa jeans. Skitsnygg färg måste jag säga. Tycker väldigt mycket om den. Men hur blev det då med den där effekten som jag hade så höga förhoppningar på?

Nä, inte tycker jag direkt att det här ser ut som mocka. Det blir en viss matt effekt, men jag kan ärligt säga att den syns mer på foton än i verkligheten. Kan man kalla den för mattglansig? Ja, jag tror jag tänker göra det.

Det var i vilket fall som helst väldigt trevligt att lacka med. Jag har två lager, men ett skulle nog kunna räcka.

Som sagt effekten och wow faktorn uteblev, men färgen den diggar jag skarpt och det här lacket får bli mitt lack på bokstaven I.

 

Today I show a polish that I bought in Berlin autumn 2014 a polish that I had quite high expectations on when I sat and started painting with last night.

The polish is Essence I <3 My Blue Jeans a polish that according to the bottle should have a suede effect. 

It has a dark blue color. As a couple of really new blue jeans. An absolute great color, I must say. I like it very much. But how about that effect I had such high hopes on?

Nah, I don't think that this looks like suede. There is a slight matte effect, but I can honestly say that it's more visible in the photos than in reality. Can you call it matteglossy? Yes, I think I'm going to do that.

It was in any case very nice to paint with. I have two layers, but one could probably be enough.

Well the effect and wow factor did not happen, but the color is something I like a lot and this polish will be my contribution for the letter I.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Typography #4

Sådärja, då publicerar jag det sista inlägget på temat typografi med en hel dag tillgodo. Det är jag lite stolt över faktiskt.

Självklart måste jag ju ha något lackrelaterat med text på också. Och vad kan inte passa bättre än just den här manikyren som jag gjort med HM Papaya Dream som bas och mönster från Bundle Monster BM 619

Jag har sen fyllt i dom små flaskorna med lite jelly lack så det blev lite färgvariation också.

Det här tycker i alla fall jag blev en värdig avslutning på temat.

Here we go! I am now publishing the last of the manicures in our typography theme with one day ahead of me. I'm almost a little proud of this. 

Obviously I must have something related with polish with text as well. And what can't be better than this particular manicure that I made with HM Papaya Dream as a base and pattern from Bundle Monster BM 619

I then filled in those little bottles with a jelly polish so it became a little color variation as well.

I think this was a worthy finale to the theme.

Reader's Choice - Glam Polish Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree

Idag blir det till att fira sonen som fyllde 18 år igår och hans kusin som fyller 20 år idag. Men självklart blir det också ett Läsarnas Val inlägg.

Och jösses vilket lack ni valt till mig! Det här är Glam Polish Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree ett lack som jag beställde samtidigt som Wicked som jag visade i måndags. I december 2014....

Som vanligt när det är ett Glam Polish lack så är det en fröjd att lacka med. Jag har två lager och topplack på bilderna.

Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree är ett ganska mörkt lila lack med röda toner och holo. Det kommer från en kollektion med inspiration från tv-serien Once Upon A Time som jag gillar riktigt mycket. Och det kan man lugnt säga att jag gör om lacket också. För det här är riktigt snyggt. Faktiskt ett av de snyggaste jag burit på länge. Och då har jag haft en hel del snyggingar på naglarna på sista tiden.

Självklart blir det en ny omröstning också. Så passa på att påverka vilket lack som ska visas vid nästa Läsarnas val.

Today, we will celebrate our son's 18th birthday that was yesterday and his cousin, who turns 20 today. But of course there will also be a Readers' Choice posts.

And gee what a polish you have chosen for me! This is Glam Polish Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree a polish that I ordered the same time as I bought Wicked as I showed last Monday. That was in December 2014 ....

As usual when it's a Glam Polish it's a delight to paint with. I have two coats and top coat in the pictures.

Fruit of the Poisonous Tree is a pretty dark purple polish with red tones and holo. It comes from a collection inspired by the TV series Once Upon A Time which I like really much. And one can safely say that I do that with the polish too. Because this is really neat. Actually one of the nicest I've worn for a long time. And I've  had a lot of good looking polishes on the nails lately.

Obviously, there is a new poll too. So take the opportunity to influence what polish I will show in the next Reader's Choice.

Review Born Pretty Store Holographic Nail Foil

Nail foil finns i alla möjliga varianter och är ganska trevligt sätt att piffa upp naglarna, men faktiskt lite knepigt.

Den här kommer från Born Pretty Store och är i form av holografiska löv. Riktigt fin tycker jag.

Enligt BPS så ska man kunna applicera den här direkt på ett nästan torkat nagellack, men det funkar så där tycker jag. Jag har använt mig av ett speciellt lim som ska göra att folien fastnar på nageln.

Ändå var det lite bråkigt för det visade sig att man var tvungen att hålla reda på rätt sida på folien för att få den att lossna. Därav en något skrynklig långfingernagel, det gick inte riktigt som jag tänkt mig.

Men jag måste säga att jag gillar slutresultatet riktigt mycket. Jag la löven över Pronails Folksy Frock och jag gillar kombon.

Nail foil comes in all varieties and are a pretty nice way to spice up your nails, but actually a little tricky.

This one comes from Born Pretty Store and is in the form of holographic leaves. Really nice I think.

According to BPS you should be able to apply this directly on a nearly dry nail polish, but I don't get that to work very well. I am using a special glue to make the film stick to the nail instead.

Even so it was a bit hard to get it to work smooth. It turned out that you had to keep track of the right side of the foil to get it to come off. Hence a slightly wrinkled middle finger nail, it didn't go quite as I had imagined.

But I must say that I like the end result really much. I put the leaves over Pronails Folksy Frock and I like the combo.

ABC Challenge - H = HM Papaya Dream

Jag är inget större fan av korallfärgade lack, men kanske jag skulle kunna vänja mig precis som jag faktiskt gjort med rosa. För mitt lack till bokstaven H är HM Papaya Dream ett koralligt krämlack.

Det här var dock lite knepigt att måla med och det blev lite strimmigt. Nu när jag tittar på bilderna inser jag att tre lager förmodligen varit bra. Jag har två och topplack. Topplacket var nödvändigt för att släta ut det tycker jag.

Som sagt jag tycker färgen är riktigt fin, kanske till och med kan erkänna att jag faktiskt tycker om den. Dock tror jag inte den finns att köpa längre, för det här verkar vara en av alla dessa miniflaskor som HM kommer ut med hela tiden. Och jag kunde inte hitta det på deras hemsida. Själv har jag fått det i present av en av mina vänner i lackgruppen.

I'm not a big fan of coral colored polishes, but maybe I could get used to it just like I actually did with pink. Because my polish for the letter H is  HM Papaya Dream a coral creme polish. 

This was a bit tricky to paint with and it did turn out a little streaky. When I look at the pictures now I realize that three layers probably would have been a good idea. I have two and topcoat in the pictures. The topcoat  was necessary to eve it out, I think.

That said, I think the color is really nice, maybe I could even admit that I actually enjoy it. However, I don't think it's available anymore, for this seems to be one of those mini bottles HM comes out with all the time. And I could not find it on their website. I received it as a present from one of my friends in the birthdaygroup.
