Depend O2 498 &499

Det blev minsann lite glitter här på bloggen idag också, men ett glitter som jag tycker betydligt mycket bättre om än det jag visade igår.

Jag plockade fram två lack från Depend O2s höstkollektion Rewind som har numren 498 & 499. Det glittriga är 498 och det är ett glitterlack som även känns rätt mycket som ett metallic lack faktiskt, färgen är guld, men jag tror minsann att det finns ett stänk av silver i det också. I vilket fall som helst så är det riktigt bra att måla med och täcker utan problem på två lager.

Sen kommer vi till 499 som också är ett lite busigt lack. I flaskan ser det brunt ut, men om man tittar närmare finns det även ett blått skimmer och på nageln skiftar det absolut i grönt. En klar positiv överraskning. Det här var också trevligt att jobba med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

499 är inte en favoritfärg, men i kombination med 498 blir det riktigt snyggt och jag tycker det här är en bra festmanikyr så här mellan höst och vinter. Jag kan absolut tänka mig att ha kombinationen igen. Och 498 kommer absolut att användas igen.

Another day with glitter here on the blog, but a glitter that I liked much better than the one I showed yesterday.

I picked up two polish from Depend O2's autumn collection Rewind that have the numbers 498 and 499. The glitzy is 498 and it is a glitter polish that also feels pretty much like a metallic actually, the color is gold, but I think there is a splash of silver in it too. In any case, it's really great to paint with and covers without trouble in two layers.

Then we come to 499 which is a bit of a chameleon. In the bottle it looks brown, but if you look closer, there is also a blue shimmer and on the nail it actually looks a bit green as well. Definitly a positive surprise. This was also nice to work with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

499 is not a favorite, but in combination with 498 it looks really neat and I think this is a good party manicure in the season between autumn and winter. I can definitely imagine having the combination again. And 498 will definitely be used again.

Colores De Carol - Vintage Lights

Dagens lack fick jag i en hemlig julpåse förra året, jag har använt det till att göra julgranskulor, men inte på naglarna förrän nu.

Lacket kommer från Colores De Carol och heter Vintage Lights. Det består av en klar bas som är full med guld och silverglitter, men även större färgat glitter med prismatiskt effekt. Om man svampar på det här kan man säkert få det att täcka på egen hand, men jag har målat två lager över OPI Meet My "Decorator". Det sprider ut sig helt ok på nageln och torktiden var också helt ok. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Nja, det här är nog inte den vackraste manikyren jag gjort direkt. Vintage Lights i sig är väldigt glittrigt och fint, men jag tror faktiskt det skulle göra sig bättre över en ljusare bas. Jag tycker absolut inte illa om varken lacket eller manikyren, men som sagt det kanske inte är något som kommer sitta så värst länge på naglarna.

Today's polish is a one that  I got in a secret santabag last year, I have used it to make baubles, but not on the nails until now.

The polish comes from Colores De Carol and is called Vintage Lights. It consists of a clear base that is full of gold and silver glitter, but also larger colored glitter with prismatic effect. If you sponge on this polish you could certainly get it to cover on it's own, but I have painted two coats of this over OPI Meet My "Decorator". It spreads out quite ok on the nail and the drying time was also quite ok. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

Well, this is probably not the most beautiful manicure I done. Vintage Lights itself is very sparkly and beautiful, but I actually think it might look better over a lighter base. I don't dislike neither the polish or manicure, but like I said it may not be something that will sit for very long on the nails.

 

OPI - Meet My "Decorator"

Är det något som OPI är riktigt bra på så är det röda krämlack. Meet My "Decorator" är inte ett klassiskt rött tycker inte jag utan en rätt skrikig färg på gränsen till att ha lite orange ton.

Som sagt OPI + rött + kräm = Suveränt. Två lager som var hur smidiga som helst att applicera. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag älskar röda lack och speciellt nu framåt julen, men det här är inte ett av mina favoriter. Fortfarande ett snyggt lack, men lite för in your face för att jag ska älska det. Hade jag målat med det under sommaren hade jag förmodligen skrivit att jag älskar det, men just nu är jag mer sugna på lite lugnare röda eller äkta tomteröda lack.

If there is anything that OPI is really good at, it's red cream polish. Meet My "Decorator" is not a classic red at least not in my mind. Instead it's a pretty bright color on the border to have a orange tone.

That said OPI + Red + cream = Supreme. Two coats that was really smooth to apply. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I love red polishes and especially now before Christmas, but this is not one of my favorites. Still a really pretty polish, but a little too in your face for me to love it. If I had painted with this during the summer I probably had written that I love it, but right now I'm more eager to use a  little calmer red or genuine Santa red polishes. 

 

Nail Art Sunday - 13/11

Ännu en dag med strålande sol och fantastiskt vackert väder. Här i Sverige firar vi Fars Dag, tyvärr är inte min pappa med oss längre, men jag tänker åka till kyrkogården och tända ett ljus.

Det är ju inte bara Fars Dag utan även Nail Art Sunday och det kommer nog inte som en överraskning att jag tänker kombinera detta med The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Temat där är prickar, men i NAS har vi temafri söndag.

Jag har gjort en enkel, men kul manikyr. Nämligen små tärningar på naglarna. Det jag använt mig av är Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot och en dottingtool.

Another day with bright sunshine and fantastic weather. Here in Sweden we celebrate Father's Day, unfortunately, my dad isn't with us anymore, but I intend to go to the cemetery and lit a candle.

It's not just Father's Day, but also Nail Art Sunday and it probably won't come as a surprise that I'm going to combine this with The Nail Challenge Collaborative. The theme there are dots, but in NAS, we have a theme free Sunday.

I made a simple, but fun manicure. Tiny dices on the nails. I have used Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot and a dottingtool.

Reader's Choice - Lacquistry Burning Leaves

Vaknade upp och slängde på mig kläder för att kunna gå ut och fota frost det första jag gjorde. Innan frukost till och med vilket är lite chockartat för min stackars kropp. Otroligt vackert ute idag och en perfekt dag för att ha ljusparty också vilket jag och min vän ska ha i eftermiddag.

Nåväl, nu till dagens lack. Det här är mitt första från Lacquistry och hade jag inte haft köpstopp hade jag nog klicka till mig några till för det här var nog något av det bästa formulamässigt som jag testat. Fantastiskt bra att måla med och täcker på två lager.  Dessutom torkade det fort. Lacket är orangerött och har sen både flakies och skimmer i guld och koppar. Inte nog med att det var bra att måla med utan även väldigt enkelt att få det jämt med flakies. Det torkar lite matt så topplack är att rekommendera.

Jag är så sjukt nöjd med det här lacket. Dels att det är väldigt, väldigt vackert, men även som sagt egenskaperna. Namnet är passande för att det ser ut som höstlöv som glöder i solen på naglarna. Kort sagt. Helt underbart.

Det blir blåa lack som ni får rösta på till nästa vecka.

Woke up and got some clothes on, because I just had to go out and take some photos of the beautiful frost outside. Even before eating breakfast and that is a bit shocking for my poor body. It was an incredibly beautiful morning. And it looks like it will be nice the whole day. A perfect day to have a Partylite party which me and my friend is about to have in the afternoon.

Well, now to today's polish. This is my first from Lacquistry and if I hadn't been on a no buy I would probably went and bought whole bunch of polishes from the brand. Becausee this was probably one of the best formula of polishes I have tested. Fantastic to paint with and it covers in two layers. It also dried quickly. The polish is orange-red and have gotten both flakies and shimmer in gold and copper. Not only was it nice to paint with it was also really easy to get it to evenly spread out the flakies. It dries a bit matte so topcoat is recommended.

I'm so pleased with this polish. Firstly it's very, very beautiful, but also as I said the formula made it amazing. The name is fitting because it looks like autumn leaves glowing in the sun on the nails. Shortly stated. Absolutely wonderful.

Zoya - Britta

Idag blir det en riktig snygging från Zoya här på bloggen. Det är ju ingen större hemlighet att jag är ett Zoya fan, men av någon anledning har mina vackra Urban Grunge lack blivit stående ett litet tag utan att jag testat något av de.

Men nu är det dags och först ut blir Britta som är ett mörkt magenta metallic med lite röda drag. Hela den här kollektionen är menat att var onecoaters och jag skulle nog hålla med om man tar ett lite tjockare lager på första. Mitt första var precis på gränsen. Egentligen hade det nog funkat med ett lager, men jag la för säkerhets skull på två. Torktiden var bra och som vanligt när det gäller Zoya så var det hur smidigt som helst att jobba med.  På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Kan man tycka annat än att det här är tjusigt? Jag gillar det här väldigt mycket i alla fall och ser verkligen fram emot att testa flera ur kollektionen. Men mest ser jag nog fram emot det gröna Merida.

Today I will show you a real showstopper from Zoya here on the blog. It's no secret that I'm a big Zoya fan, but for some reason, my beautiful Urban Grunge polishes have been standing for a while without me giving them some love.

But now is the time and the first one out is Britta. A dark magenta metallic with some red in it. This whole collection is meant to be onecoaters and I would probably agree if you take a little thicker layer on the first. My first one was right on the border. Actually, it would probably have worked with one coat, but for safety sake I did two. The drying time was good and as usual with Zoya it was really smooth to work with. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

I don't think you could feel anything else about this than love. I like this very much and are really looking forward to try out the rest of the collection. But mostly I'm looking forward to use the green Merida.

 

Green Stamping!

Idag är det grön onsdag hos Karin och jag deltar med en grön nail art.

Mönstret kommer från en stämpelplatta som jag fått utskickat för recension från Nurbesten. En Born Pretty platta med nummer BP-104. Mitt intryck av plattan är att den är bra etsad och att det är lätt att få upp mönstret från den. Jag har dessutom fått tillsänt en borste som jag tänker använda som clean-up borste. Ett lite rundat huvud med ganska mjuka borst. Jag tycker storleken är perfekt och stråna följde med fint när jag rengjorde efter stämplingen. Jag gillar dessutom att det är lite tyngd i själva skaftet så den ligger fint i handen. Sent out for review

Today we celebrate green Wednesday at Karin's and I have a green nail art for you.

The pattern comes from a stamping plate that I got sent out for review from Nurbesten. A Born Pretty plate with number BP-104. My impression of the plate is that it is well etched and it is easy to pick up the pattern from the plate. I have also gotten a brush sent to me that I intend to use as a clean-up brush. A slightly rounded head with quite a soft brush. I think the size is perfect and the straw followed the edge of the cuticle very nicely when I cleanded up after the stamping. I also like that there is little weight in the handle that makes the brush rest very nicely in the hand. OPI - Can't Read Without My Lipstick

Jag längtar till 1:a Advent och därför känns det rätt perfekt att visa ett jullack idag. Det här är Can't Read Without My Lipstick från OPIs Breakfast at Tiffany's kollektion.

Lacket är mörkt oxblodsrött och en crelly skulle jag nog säga. Jag har två lager på bilderna, men ångrar att jag inte tog ett tredje faktiskt. Jag och crellys är inte alltid kompisar, så det blev lite ojämnt. Det är topplack över också. Som sagt ett tredje hade kanske varit bra, men egentligen tror jag att två är tillräckligt om man är lite mer noggrann än vad jag var på första lagret. Mitt var lite ojämnt och strimmigt vilket också återspeglas lite i det andra.

Kanske inte min favoritformula, men färgen däremot den gillar jag skarpt. Snygg, klassisk och vampig. Låter som tre rätt i mina öron.

I long for the first Advent Sunday and therefore it feels perfect to display a polish from a Christmas collection today. This is Can't Read Without My Lipstick from OPIs Breakfast at Tiffany's collection.

The polish is dark oxbloodred and a crelly I would say. I have two coats in the pictures, but actually regrets that I didn't take a third. Me and crellys are not always good friends, so it became a little uneven. I have topcoat on too. That said a third might have been good, but I really think two is enough if one is a little more careful than I was on the first layer. Mine became a little uneven and streaky which also is reflected a bit in the second.

Maybe not my favorite formula, but the color is a one that I like a lot. Stylish, classic and vampy. Sounds like three right in my ears.

Winter Nail Art Challenge

Under December kommer jag att pausa Nail Art Sunday för att istället ha lite julkul. Det blir tredje året som jag håller i Winter Nail Art Challenge. Precis som förra året blir det två tema dagar per vecka. Måndagar och Torsdagar, men jag kommer vara väldigt generös med tiden för att länka till era inlägg, så skulle ni inte hinna med inlägget på måndagen, men på tisdagen så är det helt ok för min del. Julstress har man nog av ändå, det här ska var kul och inspirerande.

Nail Art Sunday - Dots

Jag gör som vanligt och slår ihop Nail Art Sunday med The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Temat denna söndagen är prickar och återigen har jag varit dum nog att låta min son bestämma vilka färger som skulle användas.

Detta har nu resulterat i en manikyr som skulle kunna vara en smittsam sjukdom!

I'm doing as usual and is combining our Nail Art Sunday with The Nail Challenge Collaborative. This weeks theme is dots and I have again been stupid enough to let my son decide the colors of the manicure.

This has now given me a manicure that could as well be a very contagious disease!

Depend O2 - 5040 Unicorn Dream

Huset börjar se presentabelt ut och jag tog mig tid att fixa till naglarna. Dagens lack fick bli ett ur Depend O2s HOLO Fantasy kollektion.

Det här är 540 Unicorn Dream ett snyggt lila lack med fin holo. Trevligt att jobba med och täcker som sina kompisar i kollektionen på två lager. Torktiden är bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Unicorn Dream har visats på rätt många bloggar vid det här laget, men nu finns ju lacken ute i butikerna också så är man sugen på något av lacken därifrån ska man nog passa på, för vad jag förstår så är det en limited edition kollektion.

Jag gillar det här väldigt mycket även om jag som lacknörd har sett en hel del liknande lack med tanke på alla som Indiemakarna släpper. Men det jag tycker är kul är att det är ett svenskt märke både till ägandeskap och tillverkning som släpper ett sånt här lack. Det tillhör inte vanligheterna och att man som icke nörd som inte ägnar sig åt att beställa lack från alla världens hörn faktiskt kan gå till en butik och köpa holo det är riktigt roligt enligt mig.

The house starts to look presentable and I took the time to fix my nails. Today's polish is one from Depend O2s HOLO Fantasy collection.

This is 540 Unicorn Dream a stylish purple polish with fine holo. Nice to work with and covers as it's buddies in the collection in two layers. The drying time is good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

Unicorn Dream has been displayed on quite a few blogs by now, but by now this collection has hit the stores so if you are keen on any of the polishes you should probably take the opportunity, for what I understand it's a limited edition collection.

I like this very much although I as a polishnerd have seen a lot of similar since all the Indiebrands have been making this kind of polishes for a while by now. But what I find great is that it's a Swedish brand both in ownership and production which releases this kind of polish and collection. That is certinaly not a common thing and that a non-geek that doesn't order online from all the corners of the world actually can go to a store and buy holo that is really nice according to me.

 

Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Giggly

Blev ett sent inlägg idag. Försöker städa huset, men det går sakta när man har värsta förkylningen i kroppen.

Jag har ingen aning om hur länge det här lacket har stått i min låda, men det är ett bra tag är jag rädd. Jag var faktiskt lite orolig att det skulle ha påverkat thermoeffekten i lacket, men se det hade det inte alls.

Lacket är Giggly från Superficially Colorful Lacquer och det är som sagt ett thermolack. Skiftningarna går mellan rosa och lila och det har dessutom ett väldigt vackert skimmer i sig. Jag har målat med två lager och på bilderna har jag topplack också. Det var riktigt trevligt att jobba med och torktiden var bra.

Det är klara och tydliga skiftningar i lacket. När det är varmt är det rosa och kallt lila. Nu har jag inte så värst långa fria tippar, misstänker att det skulle vara ännu tydligare mellan varmt och kallt då. Jag måste säga att jag gillar det här skarpt. Det är kul med thermolack, speciellt nu på höst och vinterkanten när dom verkligen kommer till sin rätt i och med temperaturskillnaderna både ute och inne i kroppen.

Late post today. I'm trying to clean the house, but it goes very slowly because of my cold from hell that has invaded my body.

I have no idea how long this polish has been in standing in my drawer, but it's quite a while, I'm afraid. I was actually a bit worried that it would have affected the thermoeffect in the polish, but luckily I was wrong about that. 

The polish is Giggly from Superficially Colorful Lacquer and it's as I said a thermo polish. The shifts are between pink and purple and it also has a very beautiful shimmer in it. I have painted with two coats and in the pictures I have topcoat on. It was really nice to work with and the drying time was good.

It's clear shifts in this polish. When it is hot, it is pink and when it's cold it's purple. I don't have that very long free tips so I suspect it would be even clearer between hot and cold if you do. I must say that I like this a lot. It's fun with thermo polishes, especially now in the autumn / winter this is when they really come into their best because of the temperature differences both outside and inside the body.

 

OPI - Black Dress Not Optional & Champagne For Breakfast

Den här manikyren skulle jag egentligen visat i fredags, men då försvann vårt internet och sen blev jag liggande i sängen, men här kommer i alla fall manikyren som jag bar i fredags då vi var på 25-års firande.

Jag har två lack från OPIs julkollektion Breakfast at Tiffany's att visa er. Det svarta Black Dress Not Optional och det glittrande Champagne For Breakfast.

Vi börjar med Black Dress Not Optional. Precis som en del andra så trodde jag när jag såg pressbilderna att det här var ett vanligt svart krämlack, men det är det inte alls för det här har skimmer i sig och påminner en hel del om ett av mina svarta favoriter nämligen Zoya Raven. Det var helt ok att måla, två lager räcker, men jag tror inte man kan komma undan med ett.

Sen har vi då Champagne For Breakfast som jag inte tror är tanken att man ska använda på egen hand även om man kan det. Fast jag misstänker att man får använda många lager för att få det täckande. Det här består av en klar bas med prismatiskt glitter som dessutom har lite liquid sand textur. Nu är jag inte någon fan av just den biten, men själva lacket spred ut sig väldigt smidigt på nageln. Eftersom jag inte gillar texturlack har jag topplack på bilderna.

Jag blev glatt överraskad av Black Dress Not Optional, tycker det här är riktigt snyggt och kommer absolut att använda det vid fler tillfällen. Och även Champagne for Breakfast kommer att användas igen till accentnaglar, men även då med topplack, för det blir fantastiskt glittrigt och fint på det viset. I sin helhet så trivdes jag otroligt bra i den här manikyren.

I should have shown you this manicure last Friday, but when I was ready to post our Internetconnection had died and then I got sick and have been spending a couple of days in bed. So today you will at last see what I wore last Friday when we went to celebrate the kids cousins 25th birthday.

I have two polishes from OPIs Christmas collection Breakfast at Tiffany's to show you. Black Black Dress Not Optional and the sparkling Champagne For Breakfast.

Lets begin with Black Dress Not Optional. Just like some others I thought just by looking at the press pictures that this was a plain black creme, but that was wrong because this has a very nice shimmer in it and reminds a lot of one of my black favourites namely Zoya Raven. It was totally ok to paint with, two coats is enough, but I don't think you can get away with one. 

Then we have Champagne For Breakfast I don't think the idea is that you should use this on it's own even if you can. Though I suspect that you may need to use many layers to get it to cover. This consists of a clear base with prismatic glitter which also has little liquid sand texture. Now I'm not a fan of that particular texture, but the polish spread out very smoothly on the nails. Since I don't like texture polish, I have topcoat on the images.

I was pleasantly surprised by Black Dress Not Optional, I think this is really neat and will definitely use it on more occasions. And Champagne for Breakfast will also be used again for accent nails, but with topcoat because it gets so nicely sparkly that way. I really like how this manicure turned out and enjoyed wearing it really much.

Nail Art Sunday 30/10 Summary

Det retar mig att jag missat massa dagar med bloggning och kommer förmodligen missa några till då jag har andra saker som tyvärr måste göras före, men jag vill tacka alla som var med och ge er andra en chans att se alla bidragen genom en liten lista på deltagarna.

It irritates me that I couldn't be a part of the Nail Art Sunday and that I probably wont have time to make as many posts as I want to here on the blog the coming week since I've been in bed for four days and my house is telling me to clean it instead of painting my nails. But I want to thank those who did participate and make a summary so that you all can see the manicures.

October Haul

Jag har inte så mycket att visa upp, men jag kunde inte låta bli att köpa The Holo Hookup i Oktober för det var ju med Cluedo tema, jag älskar Cluedo! Och så lite lack som jag köpte inför United In Pink veckan. Om mina intentioner lyckas så kommer det inte bli något haul inlägg i November. Min tanke är att hålla på mitt köpstopp, då jag redan nu vet att jag kommer få en lackkalender i år igen. Alltså blir det desto mer i December :)

I don't have that much to show, but I couldn't resist buying the October Holo Hookup box with Cluedo theme. That is one of my favorite board games. And some polishes that I bought to our United In Pink week. If my intentions work there will be no haul post in November. I will try the hardest I can to keep my no buy. I already now that I will get enough polishes in December since I will have another polish advent calendar :)
