Reader's Choice - Darling Diva Polish Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard!

Solen skiner och vädret är perfekt för en tur i MG:n senare idag, men först ska jag se till att ni får lite att läsa även kommande dagar.

Lördag innebär som vanligt Läsarnas val och det var väldigt kul att se att så många röstade förra veckan. Resultatet var tydligt rätt tidigt. Dom andra två lacken hade inte någon chans mot Darling Diva Polish Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard! Vilket namn! Långt, fast rätt kul tycker nog jag i alla fall.

Det här lacket tänker jag låta vara med i veckans The Neverending Story Challenge också för det är absolut ett sånt där lack som jag bara var tvungen att ha. Jag köpte det här och ett annat rött som jag också bara skulle ha i Januari så visst har jag andra lack som stått längre, men ändå.

Are You Medusa? är ett mörkt vinrött lack med en trevlig holoeffekt i sig. Inte jättetydlig effekt, men återigen en sån där som gör att lacket får ett fantastiskt djup. Jag upplevde för första gången (tror jag) att penseln var lite spretig i ett DD lack, men för övrigt så var det trevligt att lacka med och täcker utan minsta problem på två lager. Torktiden var också riktigt bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är bara så himla fint. Jag är väldigt glad att jag har det i samlingen och beslutet att jag bara skulle ha det var helt rätt.

Saturday means as usual Readers choice and it was great to see that so many people voted last week. The result was evident quite early. The other two polishes had no chance against Darling Diva Polish Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard! What a name! Long, though pretty fun at least that's what I think.

This polish will also be part of this week's The Neverending Story Challenge because it's absolutely one of those polishes that I just had to have. I bought this and another red which I also just had to have in January so sure I have other polishes that had been standing longer, but still.

Are You Medusa? is a dark burgundy polish with a pleasant holoe. Not very clear effect, but again, one of those that gives the polish a great depth. I experienced for the first time (I think) that the brush was a bit straggly in a DD polish, but otherwise it was nice to paint with and cover without the slightest problem in two layers. The drying time was also really good. I have topcoat on in the picutres. 

This is just so very nice. I'm very glad that I have it in my collection and the decision that I just had to have it was soo right.

Acacallis Goodie with stamping!

Appeal4 Acacallis Goodie fick ju givetvis inte sitta ensam på naglarna särskilt länge. Nä, inte när det sitter ett perfekt lack som bas till stamping på naglarna. Jag hade tidigare fått hem nya plattor från UberChic Beauty och på platta 4-02 hittade jag ett trevligt mönster som placerades på naglarna med hjälp av Mentality Pink opaque,

Tycker själv att det här blev en riktigt trevlig manikyr.

Jag vill passa på att säga några ord om just Mentality eftersom det är ett av deras lack som jag använt till manikyren. Jag tror inte många som är intresserade av nagellack har missat senaste tidens storm angående deras lack som orsakat nagellossning hos ett ganska stort antal personer. Jag har haft turen att inte drabbas av det här, men alla dom lacken som kan innehålla ämnen som orsakat skadorna har jag returnerat till dom jag har köpt ifrån. Jag kommer att fortsätta använda dom lacken jag redan har och är säker på är ok att använda utan att kunna orsaka skada. För dom är del av mina favoritlack för stämpling, men efter att ha läst hur Mentality har behandlat sina återförsäljare kommer jag i fortsättningen inte att köpa några nya lack därifrån och inte heller tagga eller lägga upp bilder på deras sociala medier. Det blir min lilla protest mot hur ett märke som jag tidigare älskat nu totalt tappat all värdighet och tillit i mina ögon.

Appeal4 Acacallis Goodie didn't get left alone long on the nails. I couldn't resist adding som stamping to this polish that was a perfect base for nail art. I had gotten some new plates from UberChic Beauty earlier that week and on plate 4-02, I found a nice pattern that was stamped on the nails using Mentality Pink opaque,

I think this turned out really nice. 

I would like to say a few words about Mentality as a brand because it is one of their polishes that I used for this manicure. I don't think many people who are interested in nail polish has missed the recent storm regarding their nail polish that caused the nails to come loose from the nailbed on quite a number of people. I have been fortunate not to suffer from this, but all of them polishes that may contain substances which caused the damage, has been returned to where I have purchased from. I will continue to use the polishes that I already have and that I'm sure of is ok and that I actually love, but after reading how Mentality has treated its dealers, I will not continue to buy any new polishes nor tag or upload images on their social media. It will be my small protest against the way a brand that I previously loved now totally lost all dignity and trust in my eyes.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Jewelry #2

I mitt förra inlägg på Juvel temat skrev jag att jag inte använder särskilt mycket smycken, men för ett tag sedan så köpte jag ett armband som jag blivit mycket förtjust i, så det fick bli min inspiration för inlägg nummer två på temat.

Armbandet kommer från ett svenskt företag som heter Odahl design och är egentligen väldigt enkelt, men det är väl just det som jag gillar.

För att få till den här manikyren har jag använt mig av Rainbow Honey Nyx och diverse rhinestones och studs som jag hade liggande bland mina nailart grejer.

När jag satte mig och skulle måla naglarna hade jag tänkt mig en somrig manikyr, men det blev det här istället!

In my last post on the Jewellery theme, I wrote that I don't use very much jewelry but a while ago I bought a bracelet that I've become very fond of. So it had to be my inspiration for post number two on the topic.

The bracelet comes from a Swedish company called Odahl design and is really very simple, but I thinkt that is the reason why I like it so much.

To get this manicure I have used Rainbow Honey Nyx and assorted rhinestones and studs that I had lying around in my nail art stuff.

When I sat down and was going to pain my nails my intention was to do a summer manicure but I got this instead!

Grön Onsdag - Purrfect Pawlish Green Tea

Dags för det tredje och sista lacket ur Purrfect Pawlishs Classic Horror Trio kollektion som släpps den 28/8. Och även för mitt bidrag till Karins Gröna Onsdag. 

Jag tror minsann att jag sparade det finaste till sist. Som vanligt :) Det här är Green Tea som fått sitt namn efter en novell av Sheridan Le Fanu en för mig okänd författare.

Maria beskriver det som Ett jellylack med mörkt grön bas, flakies i guld/grönt och mikro holografiskt glitter i guld.

Den här gången har jag tre lager och topplack på bilderna. Man kan nog klara sig på två, men jag fyllde på ett extra och tyckte det gav lite extra dimension till lacket.

Det här lacket är bara helt underbart. Otroligt snygg basfärg och djupet som flakiesen och glittret ger det är fantastiskt fint. Absolut ett lack som jag skulle kunna ha på mig en vecka i sträck utan att tröttna och det är lång tid för mig.

Hela Classic Horror Trion kommer att finnas tillgänglig hos Purrfect Pawlish den 28/8.

It's time for the third and final polish from Purrfect Pawlishs Classic Horror Trio collection, which will be released on the 28th. And also my contribution to Karins Green Wednesday. 

I believe indeed that I saved the best for last.  As usual :) This is Green Tea named after a novell by Sheridan Le Fanu one for me unknown author.

Maria describes it as a jelly with dark green base, flakies in gold / green and micro-holographic glitter in gold.

This time, I have three coats and top coat in the pictures. One can probably get by on two, but I did an extra layer and thought it gave some extra dimension to the polish.

This polish is just absolutely wonderful. I really love the color of the base and the depth that the flakies and glitter gives the polish is amazing. Absolutely a polish that I could consider wearing for a week without getting tired of it and that is a long time for me.

The Classic Horror trio will be available at Purrfect Pawlish the 28th of August.

The Neverending Story Challenge - Misa Whising On A Star

Den här veckan är temat på The Neverending Story Challenge Neon eller Had to have it en något kryptisk titel kanske, men vilken hobby man än har så råkar man ju på saker som man känner att det där måste jag bara ha. Eftersom nagellack tillhör den typen av hobby som ändå inte är superdyr så händer det rätt ofta att man skaffar det där lacket som man bara inte kunna leva utan och i mitt fall så händer det alldeles för ofta att det blir stående länge innan man använder det. Och det är just dom lacken som temat hänvisar till.

Lacket jag visar idag är Misa Whising On A Star kanske inte ett sånt där WOW lack, men för ett par år sedan var jag och familjen på Cypern på semester. Dom andra gav sig ut på snorkeltur, men jag med min fiskfobi åkte hellre in till en stad och shoppade. I en liten butik hittade jag en display med massa Misa lack och det här var ett av dom som jag bara skulle ha med mig hem. Det här måste varit i alla fall 3 år sedan och sen dess har det stått i min låda.

Jag tycker verkligen att det här är riktigt snyggt. Ett svart lack med ett vackert skimmer i sig som gör lacket levande. Vad jag har förstått så finns det två varianter av det här lacket. Ett som inte är 3 eller 5 Free och ett som är det. Jag misstänker att mitt är av det senaste slaget för när jag läser äldre bloggposter verkar alla ha klarat sig på två lager, men mitt exemplar var skirt så 4 lager slutade det med. Synd tycker jag för som sagt lacket är väldigt vackert, men så här mörka färger räknar man inte med ska behöva så många lager.

This weeks theme in The NeverEnding Story Challenge is Neon or Had to have it a somewhat cryptic title maybe, but in any kind of hobby you have it happens that you see something that you feel that I just have to have. Since nailpolish belongs to the kind of hobby that is still not super expensive it often happens that you see a polish that you just can't live without and in my case it happens far too often that it remains standing in the untested drawer way too long before using it. And it is precisely those polishes that theme refers to.

The polish I'm showing today is Misa Whising On A Star it might not be one of those WOW polishes, but a couple of years ago me and the family went to Cyprus on vacation. The others went out on a snorkel trip, but me with my fish phobia rather went into town for some shopping. In a small shop, I found a display of  Misa polishes and this was one of them that I just had to bring home with me. This must have been in around three years ago and since then it has been in my drawer.

I really think this is very beautiful polish. A black polish with a beautiful shimmer that makes the polish alive. I understand there are two variants of this polish. One that is not 3 or 5 Free and one that is. I suspect that my bottle is one of the later versions because when I read older blog posts they all seem to have been satisfied with two layers, but my polish was delicate and I ended up with 4 layers. Too bad because the polish is very beautiful, but with this dark colors you don't expect to have to do that many layers.

So in the pictures I have four layers and topcoat on.

Purrfect Pawlish - Horla

Idag visar jag er ytterligare ett lack ur Purrfect Pawlishs kommande kollektion Classic Horror Trio som släpps den 28:e.

Det här är Horla som är inspirerad av en bok med samma namn av Guy De Maupassant. Författaren har jag hört talas om, men inte novellen.

Horla beskrivs av Maria skapare av Purrfect Pawlish som ett blått metallic lack med svart bas och microglitter i holografiskt silver. Jag håller fullständigt med om denna beskrivningen.

Lacket är mörkt blått, men inte så mörkt att det ser svart ut och glittret gör verkligen att sitt till för att ge det här lacket det lilla extra.

På bilderna har jag två lager och topplack. Mer än så behövs inte för att få det att täcka.

Det här gillar jag skarpt. Ett alldeles perfekt lack för att matcha mina jeans både till fest och vardag.

Today I show you another polish from Purrfect Pawlishs upcoming collection Classic Horror Trio that will be released on the 28th.

This is Horla that is inspired by a book with the same name by Guy de Maupassant.  I have heard of the author before but not the novell.

Horla is described by Maria the creator of Purrfect Pawlish as a blue metallic polish with a black base and holographic micro glitter in silver. I totally agree with this description.

The polish is dark blue, but not so dark that it looks black and the glitter really gives this polish a litte extra.

In the pictures I have two coats and top coat. And that is all you need for full coverage. The drying time is also good.

This I really like a lot. An absolutely perfect polish to match my jeans for parties and everyday use. 

This and the rest of the Classic Horror Trio will be released on the 28th of August at Purrfect Pawlish.

Appeal4 - Acacallis Goodie

Imorgon börjar allvaret igen och vet ni det ska bli rätt skönt att få lite ordning på rutinerna igen.

Idag visar jag mitt första lack från Appeal4 ett märke som kommer från Danmark. Det här lacket heter Acacallis Goodie. Acacallis hade jag ingen aning om vad det var för något så jag googlade och till min förvåning så dök det upp bilder min favorit typ av blomma nämligen orkidé.

Lacket är en lite mörkare men ändå pastellig lila. Det var smidigt att applicera och täckte på två lager. Jag tyckte inte det blev så värst strimmigt som många av dom här lacken annars har en tendens att bli. Men topplack är ändå en bra idé.

Däremot så var jag inte imponerad av korken. Själva penseln är det inget fel på, men den runda korken var inte så bekväm att hålla i när man målade tycker jag.

Färgen tilltalar mig riktigt mycket. En väldigt fin färg som jag kan tänka mig att ha hela året om. Och jag är sugen på att testa fler lack från märket.

 

Tomorrow it's time to go back to work again after first being home on sick leave and then summer holidays I think it will be pretty nice to get back to my normal routines again.

Today I will show you my first polish from Appeal4 a brand that comes from Denmark. This polish is called Acacallis Goodie. I had no idea what Acacallis was so I googled and to my surprise it was a type of my favorite flower namely orchids.

The polish is a bit darker but still pastel purple. It was easy to apply and covered in two layers. I didn't think it looked streaky as many of pastel polishes does when applying them. But topcoat is still a good idea.

However, I was not impressed with the cork. The brush is nothing wrong with,  but the round cap was not very comfortable to hold when you painted. 

The color appeals a lot to me. A very nice purpl that I can easily think of wearing all year round. And I'm eager to try more polishes from this brand.

Reader's Choice - Jade Uau!

Dags för läsarnas val igen denna lördagen i min sista semestervecka. Det var värst vad fort det gick!

Det var en riktigt jämn omröstning förra veckan, men till slut vann Jade Uau! Ett lack som jag fullständigt älskar. Ett lite guldorange holo, med riktigt klara och tydliga regnbågar. Men även ett lack som jag gillar i skuggan.

Jade lacken är riktigt trevliga att måla med. Jag har två lager och topplack på bilderna. Man kanske skulle haft tre, men jag är lite rädd om dom dyra dropparna och snålade in på sista lagret.

Som sagt det här är något som jag tycker mycket, mycket om. Så tack för att ni fick mig att plocka fram det här igen.

It's time for this weeks readers' choice and it's the last days of my summer vaccation. Time passes so fast!

It was a really close vote last week, but eventually Jade Uau! was the winner. A polish which I totally love. A little golden orange holo, with really beautiful rainbows. But also a polish that I like in the shade.

Jade polishes is really nice to paint with. I have two coats and top coats in the pictures. Maybe I should have had three, but it's a small bottle and I wanted to save some of it so I only have two. 

That said, this polish is one that I like very, very much. So thank you my dear readers for making me pick it up this again.

And don't forget to vote on next week's polish.

Purrfect Pawlish - Sleepy Hollow

Den 28/8 släpper Purrfect Pawlish sin nya kollektion Classic Horror Trio och idag visar jag ett av dom tre lacken ur denna.

Jag börjar med att visa det jag var minst sugen på att testa. Ett lack som heter Sleepy Hollow. Inspirerat av en novell av Washington Irving. Jag har själv inte läst boken och inte sett filmen, men däremot kollat på tv-serien med samma namn och den gillade jag.

Sleepy Hollow beskriver Maria som är skaparen av Purrfect Pawlish som ett brunorange metallic lack med svart bas och kopparglitter med holo.

Lacket var precis som övriga PP lack mycket bra att måla med och täcker på två lager. Torktiden var helt ok. På bilderna har jag Purrfect Pawlishs egna topplack på också.

Jag är inte den som gärna bär bruna lack och även om jag tycker det här är riktigt vackert, så är det ändå inte riktigt min grej. Men om man gillar bruna lack så är jag rätt säker på att man kommer att älska det här. Det är verkligen en väldigt fin lyster i det och lär bli perfekt till hösten.

The 28th of August Purrfect Pawlish will release their new collection Classic Horror Trio and today I show you one of the three polishes in that collection.

I begin with the polish that I was least excited to try. A polish called Sleepy Hollow. Inspired by a novell by Washington Irving. I myself have not read the book and not seen the film, but watched the tvseries with the same name and I liked that.

Sleepy Hollow is described by Maria the creator of Purrfect Pawlish as an orange-brown metallic polish with black base and copper glitter with holo.

The polish was just like the rest of the PP polishes very easy to paint with and covers in two layers. The drying time was ok. In the pictures I have Purrfect Pawlishs own topcoat on too.

I hardly ever wear brown polishes and even though I think this is really beautiful, it is still not really my thing. But if you like brown polishes I am pretty sure that you will love this. It's really a very nice shine and depth in it and will probably be perfect for autumn.

This and the two other polishes from the collection that  I will show next week is included in the Classic Horror Trio, which will be available at Purffect Pawlish webstore the 28th of August.

In addition, this wil also be my contribution to this week's The Neverending Story Challenge where the theme is brown and gold.

My Top 5 Yellow Polishes!

Har ni saknat mina topp 5 inlägg? Hoppas det för här kommer ännu ett och jag har ett par till som jag funderar på att göra.

Idag har jag i alla fall plockat ut mina fem favoriter av mina gula lack. Det var faktiskt inte så svårt med tanke på att jag inte har speciellt många gula. Kände i alla fall att det var en kategori som jag ville göra lista på.

Och som ni säkert kommer ihåg så är det inte alltid dom lacken som är vackrast som är favoriterna. Ibland finns det andra orsaker att älska ett lack.

Låt oss börja.

Have you missed my top 5 posts? I hope so because here comes another one and I do have a few more in mind. 

Today it's time to show my top five yellow polishes. This was actually not so hard to chose because I don't have that many yellow ones. But I still felt like I wanted them to have it's own list. 

And as you probably remember it's not always the most beautiful ones that ends up on this list. There are many reasons to love a polish.

So lets get started. 

Först ut är Happy Hands Bananastand! ett lack som jag bara var tvungen att ha eftersom det är ett lack inspirerat av tv-serien Arrested Development som är helt underbar. Lacket i sig är ett kul lack som absolut jag kan se likheter med bananer i. 

First out is Happy Hands Bananastand! A polish that I just needed to have since it's inspired by the tv-serie Arrested Development that is amazing. The polish actually do remind me of bananas.

Det här var nog mitt allra första Glam Polish faktiskt. Ett lack som ingen annan i familjen än jag såg storheten i. Jag tycker fortfarande att det här är ett kul lack. Kanske inte vackert, men roligt och glatt. Lacket heter Ba-Na-Na!

This I think was my very first Glam Polish a polish that no one else in my family understod the greatness of. I still think this is a fun polish. Maybe not beautiful, but fun and playfull. 

Nu till OPI Fiercely Fiona ett lack som jag inte är hundra procent att jag har ett äkta. Jag tror det, men tycker det borde vara mer gröntonat gult än vad det är. I vilket fall som helst så tycker jag mycket om den här lite blekgula färgen. 

And now to OPI Fiercely Fiona a polish that I'm not 100% sure that I have the real thing of. I think that this might be a copy because in my mind this should have had a bit more green in it to be real. But I really like this pale yellow color so it made it to my list. 

Yellow Lion från Purrfect Pawlish är det enda helt gula glittret jag har eller för den delen har sett faktiskt. Ett riktigt snyggt glitter som går att kombinera med många olika färger. 

Yellow Lion from Purrfect Pawlish is the only completly yellow glitter that I have and actually the only one that I've ever seen. A really nice glitter that is so easy to combine with a lot of other colors. 

Och sist men inte minst. Det absolut mest använda gula lacket i min samling. Zoya Creamy. Ett lack som använts flitigt till diverse nailarts och även på egen hand. Ett gult som är ovanligt lätt att jobba med och en fin ägg gule färg. 

And last out is the most used polish of all my yellow polishes. Zoya Creamy. A polish that has been used a various amount of times for nailart and on it's own. A yellow that is easy to work with and a very nice egg yellow color.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Jewelry #1

Den här månaden har vi Jewelry eller smycken som tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Jag använder inte så värst mycket smycken och har inte riktigt koll på vad som är inne, så jag tycker nog ämnet är lite knepigt.

Men ett smycke, för jag väljer att kalla det för det, som jag använder väldigt mycket är mitt armband som jag köpt från Ung Cancer för att stödja den organisationen. Något som jag tycker är mycket viktigt.

Så på ett sätt så blir ju det här också ett bidrag till att stödja dom genom att göra en skittle inspirerad av mitt Fuck Cancer armband.

This month the theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Jewelry. I don't use that much jewelry and has no clue on what is popular right now, so I think it was a bit tricky subject. 

But there is one jewelry because I just decided that you could call it that I'm using all the time. And that is a bracelet that I bought from an organisation called Ung Cancer. It is an organisation for Young Adults with cancer. They sell these bracelets to raise both money and awarenes. 

This is a very important subject for me so it feels good to do a manicure even if it is a simple skittle to show them som support.

Green Flowers!

Ni måste ju få se vad jag gjorde för mönster över OPI That's Hula-rious! som jag visade häromdagen. Jag skrev redan då att jag tänkte stämpla och det gjorde jag också.

Jag köpte ett par nya plattor från MoYou London för ett tag sedan och på Pro 06 hittade jag det här mönstret som jag bestämde att Mentality Green Opaque skulle bli utmärkt att använda i kombo med den mintgröna basen.

Jag tycker att det funkar riktigt bra ihop och var riktigt nöjd med den här manikyren.

I thought I would let you see what kind of pattern I did put over OPI That's Hula-rious! that I showed the other day. I did write in that post that I had intentions of stamping over it so here is the final result. 

I bought a new pair of plates from MoYou London a while ago and on the Pro 06, I found this pattern that I decided that Mentality Green Opaque would be great to use in combo with the mint-green base.

I think it works really well together and was really pleased with this manicure.
