Holofredag - A-England Fated Prince

Jaha, nu blev det fredag igen! Härligt, då har man klarat av första jobbarveckan efter semestern. Idag är det ju också Skimmerskuggans holofredag och idag tänkte jag visa ännu en skönhet från A-Englands Burne-Jones kollektion.

Den här gången föll lotten på Fated Prince en grafitgrå holo, men ett litet ynka stänk av grönt i också. 

A-England fortsätter att göra mig lycklig med formulan och torktiderna. Lätt som plätt att måla med. Täcker på två lager och är supersnygg!

Tycker nog att holon var lite starkare i den här än i Rose Bower. Färgen är en mycket klädsam en tycker jag. Trevlig hela året runt och vilsam för ögonen på något sätt. Absolut en kulör som jag trivs i och en av de snyggare gråa holosarna jag sett. 

Idag blir det en bonusbild på ett kattskrälle som bestämt sig för att bo i vår trädgård och även tar sig friheten att promenera in i vårt kliniskt kattrena hus! Sonen ska ju inte behöva nysa och få astma för att grannens katt tror att han bor här..

Well, it's Friday again! And I have made it throught the first week back on work after summer vaccation. Today it's also Skimmerskuggans holofriday ​​and today I will show another beauty from A-England Burne-Jones collection.

This time it's Fated Prince who got the honor a graphite gray holo, with only a tiny splash of green in it too.

A-England continues to make me happy with the formula and drying times. Easy breezy to paint with. Covering on two layers and then I have a layer of Seche over it. And it is so stylish!

I think the holo is a bit stronger in this than in Rose Bower. The color is a very wearable one I think. Nice all year round and also very nice to rest you eyes upon I think. Definitely a color that I feel comfortable in and one of the better looking gray holos I've seen. 

Today you also get a bonus picture of a cat that has decided to live in our garden and even takes the freedom to walk straight into our very cat free house! My son is allergic and it's not that fun to have our neighbours cat thinking that he lives here!

Pink Thursday Dollish Polish - A Peachy Princess

Dags för lack nummer tre av mina Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros. lack. och även ett lack som gör att jag för en gång skull faktiskt kan vara med på Emmas Pink Thursday.

Även dags för ett av de lacken som jag förväntade mig minst av, men oj så fel jag hade! A Peachy Princess består av en ljusrosa skir bas och sen rosa glitter i olika storlekar och former. Även en del prismatiska små glitter finns det i flaskan. På mina bilder ser det ut som att det är rött glitter också, men det är nog lacket jag använde som bas som gör att det ser ut så.

För att ge er en liten bakgrund till namnet på lacket så är det så här att Peach är en prinsessa som dyker upp i ganska många Nintendo spel. Jag googlade och fick fram att hon för första gången var med i Super Mario Bros från 1985. Peach är inte min favoritkaraktär. En prinsessa som hela tiden blir kidnappad. Njae, inte så spännande kanske, men ändå är hon den figuren som jag brukade välja när någon annan snodde Wario för mig i olika spel.

Tillbaka till lacket. När jag hade China Glaze Fancy Pants på så fick jag en oerhörd lust att testa hur det skulle se ut med A Peachy Princess ovanpå det. Originalplanen var annars att ta fram ett av de få rosa lacken jag har och lägga det över. Det är så jag har sett de flesta bilderna av de här på nätet, men klart man måste testa när man nu fick en liten snilleblixt.

Och vilken bra snilleblixt det var! Jag ska erkänna att jag bara hade swatchat upp Fancy Pants och skulle nu bara testa lite, men det slutade med att jag fixade till andra handen också och hade det här som full manikyr i ett par dagar.

Det var inte helt enkelt att få upp dom lite större fyrkantiga glittren, men å andra sidan precis som med många andra sådana här glitter så är lagom bäst och för mycket av dom ville jag inte ha. En del av de små glittren ser rödaktiga ut över det lila lacket och jag gillar det. Det blev en fantastisk fin glöd i det här. Absolut en av mina bättre kombinationer och något som jag kan tänka mig att bära igen. Ett lager Seche har jag över.

  

Time for polish number three from the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros..colletion I have. And also a polish that makes me a participant of Emmas Pink Thursday.

This time it's one of the polishes I expected the least of, but wow was I wrong! A Peachy Princess consists of a light pink sheer base and then pink glitter in various sizes and shapes. Even some small prismatic glitter are in the bottle. In my pictures, it looks like it's red glitter too, but it's probably the polish I used as a base that makes it look so.

To give you a little background to the name of the polish this is named after Peach that is a princess who shows up in quite a few Nintendo games. I googled and came up to that her first appernece is in Super Mario Bros. from 1985. Peach is not my favorite character. A princess who always gets kidnapped. Nah, not so exciting, perhaps, but still she is the figure that I used to play as when someone else stole Wario for me in different games.

Back to the polish. When I had China Glaze Fancy Pants on I got a tremendous desire to test how A Peachy princess would look on top of it. Original plan was otherwise to use one of the few pink polishes I have as the base for this. That's how I've seen most of the pictures of it online, but clearly I had to test something else and that was a small flash of genius.

For this turned out so awesome! I'll admit that I had only swatched up Fancy Pants on one hand and would just try this for a test, but it ended up with me doing a full manicure of it that was on for a couple of days!

It was not easy to get up a the square glitters from the bottle, but on the other hand, just as with many other polishes it's sometimes best with no so much of these. Some of the small glitters looks like they are reddish, but that is just a vision that the purple polish I have as a base makes and I like it. It was a stunning nice glow in this. Absolutely one of my better combinations and one that I can think of to wear again. One layer of Seche on top.

China Glaze - Fancy Pants

Jag måste verkligen ta mig i kragen och börja använda de lack som stått länge i lådan och försöka ignorera köplusten ett tag!

China Glaze Fancy Pants måste jag ha köpt i våras någon gång eftersom det kom ut med vårkollektionen Avant Garden. Det var egentligen det lacket som jag var mest sugen på ur kollektionen och anledningen (tror jag) till att det blivit stående var att flaskan var helt kladdig och hade läckt duktigt när jag fick den. Tappade liksom sugen lite på det då. Nu var det ju så att det egentligen inte var något större fel på innehållet. Det hade inte torkat på något sätt och efter rengöring så inser jag att korken är sned och det var därför det blivit som det blivit.

Färgen är lite blurple alltså ett mellanting mellan blått och lila. Det finns även ett litet diskret rosa skimmer i det. I och med att det är lilatonat är det därför också svårt att fånga korrekt på bild. En väldigt trivsam färg som jag tycker är mycket fin. Lacket var smidigt att applicera. Två lager har jag på. Torktiden var också helt ok.

Jag tycker absolut att det här är ett fint lack även om det kanske inte är något som åker upp på min topp tio lista direkt.

I really need to get myself together and start using the polishes that has been standing long in the drawer and try to ignore the desire to buy new ones all the time!

China Glaze Fancy Pants, I must have bought it this spring since it came out with the spring collection Avant Garden. This was really the nail polish I was most keen on in the collection and the reason (I think) that it has been standing is that the bottle was sticky and had leaked proficient when I got it. That killed my enthusiasm a bit. Well after all there was no problems with the polish it self. It haden't got thick or anything and after cleaning the bottle I realize that the cork is skewed and that was why it had leaked.

The color is a little blurple thus a cross between blue and purple. There is also a small discreet pink shimmer in it. Because it's purple tinted, it is therefore also difficult to accurately capture the the color on photo. A very pleasant color that I think is very nice. The polish was easy to apply. Two layers is what I have on. The drying time was also quite ok.

I definitely think this is a fine lacquer although it may not be something that goes up on my top ten list.

Chanel - Taboo

Det här är förmodligen det dyraste lacket jag köpt själv och bland de dyraste jag har i min lilla samling. Det superhypade Chanel Taboo. Givetvis så dyker ju frågan upp direkt i mitt huvud om det verkligen är värt sitt pris. 

Vi kan ju börja med att fundera på färgen. Den är ju helt fantastisk måste jag säga. Mörkt vampig lila med blåaktigt skimmer. Absolut en färg som jag trivs i och som jag kan tänka mig att bära många gånger till, men jag misstänker att det precis som med Peridot kommer att dyka upp dupes som är minst lika bra och billigare. Så långt tycker jag alltså att det är värt priset. Men helt ärligt så himla superunik är den väl inte. Eller?

Formulan då? Helt fantastisk och penslen är också bra även om jag gillar lite bredare penslar än den här. Två lager täcker utan problem. Torktiden är helt ok också. 

Vad har jag då kommit fram till? Jag vet faktiskt inte. Som sagt formulan är superbra, men det är den på många mycket billigare lack också. Färgen är underbar och den skulle jag nog inte vilja vara utan, men som jag skrev tidigare så kan man misstänka att det rätt som det är dyker upp dupes. Så har man inte 250 kronor att lägga på ett lack så skulle jag absolut vänta. Helt ärligt så tycker jag egentligen att det är alldeles för mycket pengar för ett enskilt lack, men samtidigt så älskar jag lacket och då är det väl ändå värt priset får jag ju anta. 

Vad säger ni? Har ni lacket eller är det överreklamerat? 

This is probably the most expensive polish I bought for myself and among the most expensive I have in my little collection. The super-hyped Chanel Taboo. Of course I started to question if this really is worth it's price.

We can start by taking a look at the color on this. It's absolutely fantastic, I must say. Dark vampy purple with bluish shimmer. Definitely a color that I enjoy and that I can think of to wear many times, but I suspect that just as with Peridot there will emerge dupes that are just as good and cheaper. So far I think it's worth the price. But honestly is it so amazingly super unique?

The formula then? Absolutely stunning and the brush is also good although I like a little broader brush than this. Two coats covers without problems. The drying time is quite ok too.

So what is the verdict then? I do not know! That said formula is super, but it's super on many very less expensive polishes too. The color is amazing and I would probably not want to be without it, but as I wrote earlier, one can suspect that there are dupes on the way. So if you don't have 250 SEK to spend on a polish, I would definitely wait. Quite honestly, I think really it's just too much money for a single bottle of polish, but at the same time, I love the polish and then I suppose I do think that for me it's worth the price.

Darling Diva Polish - Tipsy

Darling Diva Polish Tipsy är ett väldigt speciellt lack. På två sätt faktiskt. Dels för att jag har fått det av Katarina på Edgy Polish och för att det är ett lack specialgjort för Edgy Polish.

Det säljs alltså inte på något annat ställe vad jag känner till i alla fall.

Jag måste erkänna att jag först kände mig lite tveksam till det här lacket. I flaskan ser färgen lite för korallig ut för att riktigt locka mig, men sen tipsade Katarina mig om att lägga det över ett vitt lack och hoppsan vilken skillnad det blev!

Lacket består av en orange crelly bas med massor av cirkelglitter i olika färger. Cirkelglitter är något som jag gillar mycket. Jag har ju då som sagt lagt det här över vitt för att få fram lite starkare orange färg på det. Tre lager har jag använt mig av. Det var lätt att applicera och man behövde absolut inte gräva för att få upp något av de större glittren.

Jag tycker det här är mycket finare på nageln än i flaskan. Ett riktigt kul lack i mina ögon. Och som sagt något som man inte kan få tag på överallt tycker jag känns kul.

Darling Diva Polish Tipsy is a very special polish to me. In two ways actually. Partly because I've got it from Katarina at Edgy Polish and because it's a polish custom made for Edgy Polish.

I must admit that at first I felt a little hesitant about this polish. In the bottle the color looks a little too coral out to really attract me, but then Katarina gave me a tips to paint it over a white polish and whoops what a difference it made!

The lacquer consists of an orange crelly base with lots of circular glitter in different colors. Circle Glitter is something that I like very much. I have then as I said put this over white to bring out a little stronger orange color on it. I've used three layers. It was easy to apply and you did absolutely not have to dig to get up some of the larger glitters.

I think this is much prettier on the nail than in the bottle. A really fun polish in my eyes. And as I said something that you can not get in every store and something that not everybody else has is always a good thing.

Nailart Sunday - Cookie Monster

Lelack är tillbaka efter sitt sommaruppehåll och så är även Nailart Sunday. En del har hållit liv i söndagstraditonerna över sommaren, men själv valde jag också att ta en paus. En viktig sak som jag lärt mig av den här sommaren är att man faktiskt inte måste lägga ut ett inlägg varje dag. En annan sak som jag också lärt mig är att jag måste stressa av och som sagt inte känna att jag måste blogga varje dag eller att jag måste passa in vilken färg jag har på naglarna en viss dag. Bloggandet blir för mig lite roligare då. Den temadag som jag mest kommer att försöka pricka in i fortsättningen är just Nailart Sunday. Dom andra kommer jag också vara med på när det passar med det lacket jag faktiskt målat med.

Så slut på uppsatsen och nu till dagens ämne. Eller just det, ämnet är ju fritt idag så därför har vi fria händer. Jag har ganska länge haft en plan med mina fina Kakmonster vattendekaler som jag haft liggande och häromdagen blev planen verklighet.

På fyra naglar finns Zoya Robyn och så på på pekfingrarna har jag bottnat med Zoya Purity och över det en vattendekal av min absoluta favoritfigur. Kakmonstret! Denna galna, härliga, blå, ludna karaktär som man bara inte kan låta bli att gilla.

Det här är mitt första försök med vattendekaler, kunde nog klippt till formen lite mer på den inser jag nu så här i efterhand, men jag är så nöjd med resultatet. En väldigt glad manikyr. Robyn är något lite mörkare i verkligheten och dessutom finns det för er som har svårt att få tag på Zoya en dupe från China Glaze som heter Sunday Funday.

Hur tar ni förresten bort era vattendekaler när ni tröttnat på manikyren?

Lelack is back after a summer break and so is Nailart Sunday. Some have kept the tradition going during the summerbreak, but I also chose to take a break. One important thing that I learned this summer is that you actually don't have to put out a post every day. Another thing I also learned is that I don't have to stress myself and blogg when I actually don't feel up to it or that it's not necessary to contribute on every theme day, even if I like that. Blogging for me will feel much more fun without stressing posts. The themeday that I most will try to participate on in the future is Nailart Sunday. The others, I will also be on when it fits with the polish I actually painted with.

So enough about that and now to today's topic. Today we have free hands so no theme on the theme day! I've had this idea for a long time on what to do whit my lovely cookie monster water decals that I had lying and the other day I turned the plan to reality.

On four nails I havee Zoya Robyn and on my index fingers, I have Zoya Purity and over it a water decal of my absolute favorite character. The Cookie monster! This crazy, beautiful, blue, fuzzy character that you just can not help liking.

This is my first attempt with water decals, could probably cut out the shape a bit better, I realize now in retrospect, but I'm so happy with the results. A very happy manicure. Robyn is slightly darker in real life and also there is for those who have difficulty getting hold of  Zoya polishews a dupe from China Glaze called Sunday Funday.

Läsarnas val / Readers Choice! - L.A Girl 3D Effects Brilliant Blue

Jag hade ju då tänkt att det skulle vara strålande solsken när jag fotade det här lacket, men icke sa nicke. Solen uteblev dock är lacket precis lika vackert ändå!

För till den här veckan röstade ni fram L.A Girl 3D Effects Brilliant Blue, fast China Glaze Sweet Hook var bara några få röster bakom.

Det här blir andra L.A Girl lacket den här veckan och det är faktiskt så att varje gång jag plockar fram och lackar med något från det här märket blir jag lika glad och nöjd över formula och pensel. Fantastiska egenskaper helt enkelt. Sen är det också så att det här lacket är så fantastiskt vackert. en mörk blå full med prismatiskt glitter och absolut precis lika vackert i skuggan. Det tycker jag är en egenskap som höjer lacket väldigt mycket.

Jag har tre lager på, har man korta naglar räcker det alldeles säkert med två, men jag tyckte faktiskt att det där tredje fördjupade färgen en hel del också. Över det har jag Seche. Som sagt, det är mycket lätt att applicera och torkar fort också. Ett lack som absolut är värt att äga.

I whised for sun when I was about to photograph this polish, but that didn't happened. The sun didn't show at all, however,the polish is just as beautiful anyway!

The winner of last weeks poll was LA Girl 3D Effects, Brilliant Blue, China Glaze Sweet Hook was only a few votes behind.

This will be the second LA Girl polish that I show you this week and the fact is that every time I pick up and use anything from this brand, I am so happy and pleased with formula and brush. Great features simply. Then it's also the case that this polish is so incredibly beautiful. a dark blue full with prismatic glitter and certainly just as beautiful in the shade. I think that's something that makes me like this polish even more.

I have three layers on, if you have short nails I think two would be enough,  but I actually found that the color got a bit deeper with the third layer. On top I have Seche. I did say it before, but it's worth mention again. So easy to apply and dries quickly too. A polish that is absolutely worth owning.

And as you know, the vote for next weeks poll is under the pictures.

Something very ugly!

Jag lär mig aldrig! Nej, för nu har jag återigen låtit mina barn bestämma färger och mönster på naglarna och vet ni vad et värsta är? Jag tror inte det här är sista gången heller, för snart fyller äldste grabben år och då brukar dom ju få bestämma vad jag ska ha för något på klorna.

Måste förresten berätta att jag och familjen var på en liten dagsutflykt till Köpenhamn igår och med mig hem hade jag Chanel Taboo. Matas, kul affär!

Nå i alla fall. Grabbarna fick fria händer bland mina lacklådor och plockar då fram L.A Girl Brites Lazer Beam (som jag visade i tisdags), China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini och Sally Hansen Fuzz-Sea. Säger sen till mig att Lazer Beam ska vara bas, det ska vara gula prickar och någon typ av gradient av Fuzz-Sea. Jo, tjena! Låter ju som en lovande kombo.

Dom var mycket nöjda med resultatet medans mamman (lilla jag) kände att det här tror jag inte jag går utanför huset med. Omdömmet var att det skulle varit mer av Fuzz-Sea. Som  förresten var lite små knepig att få så mycket på samma ställe med.

Vad tycker ni om det här?

I never learn! No, for I have once again let my children decide colors and patterns on my nails and you know what's the worsts? I don't think this is the last time either, because the eldest one have his birthday very soon and I usually lets the birthday kid decide what to wear on my nails. 

By the way I gotta tell you that I and the family were on a little day trip to Copenhagen yesterday and with me home, I had Chanel Taboo. Why don't we have Matas shops here in Sweden!

Well in any case. I gave the guys free hands among my lacquer boxes and they picked up LA Girl Brites Lazer Beam (which I showed this Tuesday), China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini and Sally Hansen Fuzz-Sea. Telling me that Lazer Beam will be the base, it should be yellow spots and some type of gradient of Fuzz-Sea. Great! Sounds like a promising combo.

They were very pleased with the results while the mother (me I) might not have chared their enthusiasm. I didn't exactly feel like going outside the house with this. Their judgement was that it should have been more of Fuzz-Sea. That by the way was a little tricky to get as I wanted it.

L.A Girl - Lazer Beam

Ännu ett lack med fantastiska egenskaper från L.A Girl denna gången ett ur Brites serien som heter Lazer Beam.

Färgen ser på mina bilder mer rosaaktig ut än vad jag upplever den i verkligheten. Mer åt Fuchsia hållet skulle jag nog vilja säga. En kul och glad färg är mitt omdöme.

Som vanligt så var det bra formula på lacket. Lättmålat och torkade fort och bra och lite så där semimatt. Så en äkta neon är det inte, men vad gör väl det för det lyser upp bra ändå. Jag har två lager på och tycker nog att det räcker även om jag ser på vissa bilder att det antyder en viss VNL. Inget som jag dock upplever när jag tittar på naglarna.

På bilderna är det inget topplack på och anledningen till det kommer ni få se en annan dag!

Jag fortsätter även med extrabilder på temat djur som jag ägt. Vi har ju som ni vet Undulater och allting startade med en liten vacker gulmaskad blå hona som hette Snubban. Ja, vi trodde det var en hane först och då hette den Snubben! Gulmaskad betyder att hon var gul uppe på huvudet där de flesta blåa Undulater annars är vita. Hon var så underbart tam och rolig denna fågel. Tyvärr så fick hon problem med äggledarna och fick en knöl som gjorde att hon fick problem med flygningen och till slut efter många veterinärbesök gick det inte att rädda henne. Saknar vår lilla bitska dam väldigt mycket! Bilderna visar det hon gillade göra mest. Sitta med oss när vi åt frukost och sno yngste grabbens flingor. Och bada i mitt vattenglas!

Another lacquer with great qualities from LA Girl this time from the Brites series called Lazer Beam.

The color looks more pinkish that what I experience it in reality on the pictures. More about Fuchsia way, I would probably say. A fun and happy color in my opinion.

As usual, it was good formula on the polish. Easy to apply and dried fast, and a little like semi-matte. It's not a true neon, but who cares for it lit up fine though. I have two coats on and think that it is enough even if I see that it looks on some of the images that there is little bit of VNL. Nothing, however, I think shows in reality when I look at my nails.

In the pictures there is no topcoat on and the reason for it, you will get to see another day!

Today I also continues with some extra material with  images on the theme of animals that I have owned. We have as you know budgies and it all started with a pretty little yellow face blue female named Snubban.  Yellow face means that she was yellow on top of the head where most blue budgies else is white. She was so wonderful, funny and really tame this bird. Unfortunately, she had problems with the fallopian tubes and got a lump that meant that she had problems in the end to fly and finally after many visits to the vet we could not save her. I still miss our little fierce lady very much! The pictures show what she loved doing most. Sit with us as we ate breakfast and steal the youngest kid's cereal. And swim in my water glass!

Sky Bower!

Jag kände på en gång att A-England Rose Bower skulle passa utmärkt att göra någon typ av gradient på. Sagt och gjort jag började leta lämpliga kandidater till detta. Sonen plockade fram neongrönt, neonrosa och gula lack. Inte något jag kände jag ville mörda det här vackra lacket med.

Istället tog jag ett annat väldigt vackert lack och la en sträng av uppe på nagelkanten och drog sen ner till en gradient med borsten. Lacket jag använt mig av är China Glaze Skyscraper. Tyckte nog att dom här gifte sig rätt bra ihop.

Bra idé eller är Rose Bower finare för sig själv? Nu ska jag ta och baka Nutellacookies.

I felt at once that A-England Rose Bower would fit perfectly to make some kind of gradient on. Said and done, I started looking for suitable candidates for this. My son picked up neon green, neon pink and yellow polishes as suggestions. Not something I felt I wanted to kill this beautiful polish with.

Instead, I took another very beautiful paint and added a string on top of the nail edge and pulled it down to a gradient with the brush. The polish I used is China Glaze Skyscraper. My judgment is that these two worked pretty well together.

Good idea or are Rose Bower better on its own? Now I off to make some cookies.
