Depend O2 - 5031 Secret Santa

Är ni trötta så här i slutet av veckan? Jag är det och trött på att vänta på besked också. Jag har sökt till en fotolinje som jag gärna vill veta om jag kommer in på eller inte, men väntan börjar kännas jobbig nu.

För att pigga upp läget lite så har jag ett sjukt fint lack på naglarna i alla fall. Depend O2 5031 Secret Santa är ett rött sandlack med en massa glitter i. Jag har återigen valt att visa det här utan topplack eftersom det är tanken att det ska användas så även om man självklart kan lägga topplack över och få det ännu mer galet glittrigt. Det var smidigt att jobba med och täckte på två lager. Torktiden är lite seg, vilket man får räkna med när man inte skyndar på processen med topplack. Så var lite försiktiga en bra stund efter ni har målat så ni inte får tråkiga märken direkt.

Jag kommer förmodligen att lägga på topplack eftersom jag inte är direkt förtjust i känslan av sandlack, men alltså den här färgen och glittret i det är ju bara helt underbar. Maken ska på julbord med sitt jobb ikväll, men jag har liksom julbord för ögonen på naglarna istället.

Are you tired at the end of the week? I am and also tired of waiting for an answer, too. I have applied for a photoschool and I would like to know if have been admitted or not, but the wait begins to feel pretty tough now.

To lighten up the situation a bit, I have a gorgeous polish on my nails. Depend O2 5031 Secret Santa is a red sandpolish with a lot of glitter in. Again, I have chosen to show this without topcoat because that is how it supposed to be worn even if you obviously can add a topcoat over and get even more crazy glitter. It was easy to work with and covered in two layers. The drying time is a bit slow, which should be expected when you don't speed up the process with a topcoat. So be a little cautious for a while after you've painted so you do not get boring marks directly.

I will probably add topcoat because I'm not directly fond of the feeling of textured polishes. But this color is just amazing both with and without a smooth surface. My husband will go on a Christmas dinner with his job tonight, but I think that I have a Christmas dinner for the eyes of the nails instead.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Ugly Sweater

Idag är det Ugly Sweater som är temat alltså fula jultröjor. Men jag måste säga att jag tycker nog att jag misslyckades något med dagens tema, för det här blev ju riktigt bra.

Basen är Depend 7 Day The Nutcracker som jag har stämplat med ett mönster från MoYou London Festive 06 och färgen jag använt är  MoYou London Silver Dust.

Det här med ton i ton blir oftast riktigt bra och så även denna gången tycker jag. Absolut en manikyr som jag kan gå runt med ett tag.

Dagens manikyr får också representera The Nail Challenge Collaborativs Holiday Season tema.

Today our theme in the Winter Nail Art Challenge is Ugly Sweater. But I must say that I think that I failed a bit with today's theme. I don't think this turned out a bit ugly. 

The base is Depend 7 Day The Nutcracker that I have stamped with a pattern from MoYou London Festive 06 and the color I used for the stamping is MoYou London Silver Dust.

This with tone on tone stamping usually turns out really good and I think it did this time too. This is absolutely a manicure that I can walk around with for a while.

This manicure will also represent The Nail Challenge Collaboratives Holiday Season theme.

Depend 7 Day - The Nutcracker

Två av de snyggaste julkollektionerna i år kommer kanske något oväntat från Depend. Båda deras har många fantastiskt fina lack.

Idag tänkte jag visa ett från Depend 7 Day som heter The Nutcracker. Det här är ett grafitgrått lack med massor av fint, fint pristmatiskt glitter i. Jag har tre lager på bilderna, men jag tror att det räcker med två om man har något kortare naglar än vad jag har just nu. Måste också tillägga att jag verkligen gillar Depends lite bredare borste, riktigt trevlig att jobba med. Torktiden var helt ok och på bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack på.

Det här gick verkligen hem hos mig. Återigen så blir betyget enligt julskalan en stjärna i toppen av granen vilket är ett mycket gott betyg.

Two of the best looking Christmascollections this year comes from, at least in my opinion, Depend. Both of those consists of really amazing polishes.

Today I will show one from Depend 7 Day called The Nutcracker. This is a graphite gray polish with lots of fine, fine pristmatic glitter. I have three layers on in the pictures, but I think that two might be enough if you have shorter nails than what I have right now. I must also add that I really like Depends wider brush it's really nice to work with. The drying time was ok and in the pictures I have as usual topcoat on.

This certainly spoke to me. I like it a lot. Again according to the Christmas scale this is the star in the top of the tree, which is a very good rating.

 

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Wrapping Paper & Bows

Idag kan man välja mellan omslagspapper eller rosetter som tema eller kan man ju förstås kombinera de båda om man känner för det. Själv gjorde jag först rosetter, men dom ville jag inte visa för allmänheten, så istället blev det en julpappersinspirerad manikyr.

Här är i Sverige har det ju ett tag varit väldigt trendigt med brunpapper som omslagspapper och på senare år har det dykt upp en hel del julpapper som är brunt med olika tryck och ett av alla dessa är min manikyr baserad lite löst på.

Basen är China Glaze What She Dune, mönstret kommer från BP-L015 och stämplat har jag gjort med ett grönt Konad lack.

Today you can choose from doing wrapping paper or bows on your nails or one can of course combine the two if you feel like doing that. At first I did bows, but they didn't turn out looking like something I wanted to show in public so instead it became a wrapping paper inspired manicure.

Here in Sweden it has been very trendy to use brown paper as wrapping paper for the last couple of years and now it also has come a lot of brown paper with Christmas patterns on and it's on of those that my manicure is kind of based on.

The base is China Glaze What She Dune, the pattern comes from BP-L015 and I have stamped with a green Konad stampingpolish.

Reader's Choice - Dreamland Lacquer Out, Damned Clot!

Lördagskväll och vi fick oväntat men väldigt välkommet besök från Linköping. På naglarna sitter lacket som ni röstade fram förra veckan och jag känner att om jag skulle gått på julfest så hade manikyren varit redo.

Dreamland Lacquer Out, Damned Clot! är ett rött holo. Kanske inte riktigt julrött, men helt underbart vackert är det i alla fall. Som vanligt när det gäller lack från det här märket så är formulan fantastisk och två lager räcker utan problem. Torktiden är snabb och jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Jag är så sjukt svag för den här typen av röda lack och det här är verkligen inget undantag. Har absolut snyggaste naglarna i byn ikväll!

Till nästa vecka tonar vi ner färgen lite och det blir gråa lack som ni får rösta på.

Saturday evening and we got a very unexpected but very welcome guest from Linköping. And on my nails is the polish that you voted as this weeks reader's choice and I feel that if should have gone to a Christmas party my manicure would have been ready.

Dreamland Lacquer Out, Damned Clot! is a red holo. Maybe not quite Christmas red, but absolutely wonderfully beautiful. As usual when it comes to polishes from this brand the formula is awesome and two layers is enough without problems. The drying time is fast and I have a topcoat over in the pictures.

I'm such a sucker for this kind of red polishes and this is certainly no exception. I'm pretty sure that I have the absolute best looking nails in my village tonight!

For next week, there will be a little more toned down color and you will have gray polishes to vote on. 

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Holiday Season

Det blir mera jul/vinterinspirerad nail art hos mig idag. Temat hos The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Holiday Season och i Twelve Days of Christmas så var temat Snowman alltså ser jag till att kombinera dessa två.

Jag tror det är Color Club Over The Moon som det blåa hololacket heter. Min etikett är skadad, men det är det blåa från de första Halo Hues som Color Club släppte i alla fall. Zoya Purity har jag som vanligt använt till den vita basen och mönstret kommer från ÜberChic Christmas 02 plattan.

Först när jag var färdig med manikyren insåg jag att det här blev ju ganska Frozen inspirerat med det något isblå lacket och snögubben, men vad gör väl det. Jag är i alla fall nöjd och glad.

You will get more Christmas / winter inspired nail art from me today. The theme of The Nail Challenge Collaborative this month is the Holiday Season and in the Twelve Days of Christmas it's Snowman today therefore I decided I could combine these two.

I think it's Color Club Over The Moon that I've used for the blue nails. My label is damaged, but it's the blue from the first Halo Hues collection that Color Club released. As usual it's Zoya Purity that I've used for the white base and the pattern comes from the ÜberChic Christmas 02 plate.

When I was finished with this manicure I realized that it became pretty Frozen inspired because of that icy blue holo and the snowman, but who cares. I'm really satisfied and happy with this.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Candy or Food

Idag är temat julgodis och julmat och jag tog kanske en enkel väg ut, men jag gillar röd/vita julmanikyrer och polkagrisar.

Basen är Zoya Ash och jag har hittat mönstren på ÜberChic Christmas 02 och MoYou London Festive 06. Stämplade gjorde jag med MoYou London White Knigt som täcker riktigt bra för att vara ett vitt stämpellack. Att stämpla ränder är lite lurigt så mina blev lite svängda, men inte så att jag tyckte det blev misslyckat.

Jag gillar den här manikyren riktigt mycket. Tycker om hur Zoya Ash gör det hela lite mer levande med sin metallic finish.

Today, the theme in Winter Nail Art Challenge is Christmas Candy or Food and maybe I took an easy way out, but I like red /white Christmasnails and candy canes.

The base is Zoya Ash and I found patterns on ÜberChic Christmas 02 and MoYou London Festive 06 plates. I stamped with MoYou London White Knigt that is covering really good for a white stamping polish. To stamp stripes is a bit tricky and mine became a little bit curved, but not so much that I thought it was unsuccessful.

I like this manicure really much. I Think Zoya Ash makes it a little more alive with its metallic finish.

Zoya - Ash

Dags för lite rött för att värma upp sig inför julen tycker jag! Nu tillhör ju jag de som älskar röda lack hela året om så jag har väl i och för sig värmt upp ända sen årets början.

Dagens lack är Zoya Ash som är ett riktigt snyggt rött metalliclack. Lacket är från Urban Grunge kollektionen som utlovar att ett lager ska räcka för täckning och när det gäller Ash så gör det faktiskt det också. På bilderna har jag ett lager och topplack. Givetvis så går det ju att ta tunnare lager och måla två istället, men jag gillar ju lite tjockare konsistens på lacken så det här passade mig ypperligt.

Det här är absolut ett lack i min smak. Älskar metallicfinishen och den röda nyansen. Och vet ni vad? Jag tror minsann att den blir bra som bas till nästa Winter Nail Art Challenge tema också :)

Time for some red to getting you ready for Christmas! Now I belong to those who love red polish throughout the year so I guess I have spent the whole year warming up. 

Today's polish is Zoya Ash a really neat red metallic polish. This belongs to the Urban Grunge collection that promises that the polishes should be onecoaters and when it comes to Ash that is true. In the pictures, I have one coat and topcoat. If you like polishes that are a bit thinner you could of course use two thinner layers but I like the thicker consistency of the polish so this suited me excellently.

This is absolutely a polish in my taste. I love the metallic finish and the red hue. And you know what? I believe indeed that it's a good base for the next Winter Nail Art Challenge theme too :)

 

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Candles or Lights

Dagens tema i både Winter Nail Art Challenge och i en annan utmaning som jag ska försöka vara med i lite då och då kallad Twelve Days of Christmas är julljus. Då kan det ju vara både levande ljus eller elektriska ljusslingor som menas.

Igår skrev jag att jag letade efter ett ljust lack eftersom jag tänkte använda det som bas till dagens nail art och så blev det också. Depend 482 har fått lite uppfräschning med hjälp av mönster från ÜberChic Christmas 01 & 02 plattorna. Efter jag stämplade har jag fyllt i de små ljusen med hjälp av olika jellylack.

Det här mina vänner är något så ovanligt som en manikyr som till och med min väldigt kritiske son tyckte om. Jag kan garantera att det inte händer ofta! Själv är jag också riktigt nöjd med dagens nail art.

Today's theme in both Winter Nail Art Challenge and in another challenge that I'll try to join every now and then called the Twelve Days of Christmas is Christmas candles or lights. 

Yesterday I wrote that I was looking for a light polish because I was thinking of using it as a base to today's nail art and that is also what I did. Depend 482 is the base and has gotten a little facelift using patterns from the UberChic Christmas 01 & 02 plates. After I stamped, I have filled in the small lights by using various jelly polishes.

This my friends is something as unusual as a manicure that even my very critic son liked. I can guarantee that it doesn't happen often! I myself am also really happy with today's nail art.

Depend 482

Idag när jag skulle lacka letade jag efter ett ljust lack eller efter ett guldigt och hittade ett ljust, ljust rosa med ett väldigt diskret guldskimmer i från Depends sommarkollektion Sunny Days. Anledningen till att jag ville ha ett lack med dessa egenskaperna får ni förhoppningsvis se imorgon. Om mina planer fungerar som jag tänkt.

Lacket är som sagt ett väldigt ljust rosa, nästan vitt. Första lagret blev rätt strimmigt, men det rättar till sig på andra. På bilderna har jag topplack vilket jag rekommenderar på så här ljusa lack som lätt ser ojämna ut annars.

Jag tycker faktiskt riktigt mycket om den här färgen. Gillar det lilla diskreta skimret i det och att det är lite färg, men ändå nästan vitt. Trivsamt lack enligt mig.

Today when I sat down to paint my nails I knew that I wanted a very light polish or something in gold. And I found a light, light pink with very subtle gold shimmer from Depends summer collection Sunny Days. The reason I wanted a polish with these properties is something you'll hopefully see tomorrow. If my plans work as I intended.

The polish is as I said a very pale pink, almost white. The first layer became pretty streaky, but it it got smooth on the second. In the pictures I have topcoat on which I recommend with this kind of bright polishes because the easily look uneven without. 

I actually like this color quite a lot. I like the subtle shimmer to it and that it has some color but still is almost white. It's a pleasant polish according to me. 

 

Reader's Choice - Starrily Vladimir

Så var det redan lördag igen! Ska kanske baka lite, men för övrigt blir det nog mest fotografering och slöande som står på schemat.

Men vi börjar med denna veckas läsarnas val lack. Och vilket lack det är! Starrily Vladimir är ett mörkt lila lack med en helt fantastisk holoeffekt. Forumlan på lacket är riktigt bra och det täcker på två lager, kanske till och med på ett om man vill. Men, borsten i min flaska var spretig och en vid spretig borste är inte kul. Lack i nagelbanden är inte en favorit. Jag fick göra om en nagel för att det såg helt galet ut och utan att skryta så händer sånt nästan aldrig nuförtiden.

Färgen är dock helt galet vackert, så vackert att jag nästan kan förlåta den dumma borsten faktiskt. Det är den där typen av lack som du under tiden du målar även utstöter små galna glada läten för att det är så snyggt.

Det är ju snart jul, så visst är det lämpligt att ni får rösta på röda lack till nästa vecka.

So it's already Saturday again! I'm not having any big plans, maybe bake something, take some photos and just relaxe.

But we begin with this week's Readers' Choice polish. And what a polish this is! Starrily Vladimir is a dark purple polish with a fantastic holo. The formula on this is really good and it covers in two layers, perhaps even on one if you a careful. However, the brush in my bottle was sprawling and a wide sprawling brush is not fun. Polish in the cuticles is not a favorite. I had to redo at least one nail because of the brush and without bragging that doesn't happens often nowadays.

This polish is completely crazy beautiful, so beautiful that I can almost forgive the stupid brush actually. It's that kind of polish you make crazy little sounds while painting with just because it's so pretty.

Since Christmas is closing in I thought it would be good to let you vote on red polishes for next weeks reader's choice. 

Depend 7 Day - Under The Mistletoe

Årets julkollektion från Depend 7 Day heter season sparkle och ett av lacken från denna är Under The Mistletoe. Ett helt underbart grangrönt lack med inte glitter enligt mig utan snarare glassflecks. Det var riktigt trevligt att jobba med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack över.

För mig är det här nästan ett magiskt lack. Ja, det påminner en del om Kiko lacket jag visade förra veckan, men det här är mörkare och är lite finare enligt mig. Det är som sagt julgransgrönt och guldinslaget i lacket gör det riktigt vackert. (Fast i min gran hänger inget i guld. Bara rött och silver..) Det här passar faktiskt perfekt till vilket julkalas som helst. Eller en dag man känner sig nere och vill pigga upp sig lite också för den delen. En klar stjärna i toppen på granen enligt min julbetygskala.

This year's Christmas collection from Depend 7 Day is called season sparkle and one of the polishes from that collection is Under The Mistletoe. An absolutely wonderful spruce green polish but according to me it's not glitter in this but rather glassflecks. It was really nice to work with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have as usual topcoat over.

For me, this is almost a magic polish. Yes, it's reminiscent of the Kiko polish I showed last week, but this one is darker and a little bit nicer to me. It's as I said Christmas tree green and the gold component in it makes it really beautiful. (Though in my tree there will be no golden stuff. Only red and silver ..) This certinaly fits perfect to all kinds of Christmas partys. Or on a day you are feeling down and want to brighten up things a bit too. I think this is the star in the top of the tree on my new Christmas rating scale.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Snow

Äntligen är December här och Winter Nail Art Challenge sätter igång! Först ut är snötemat och det är nog ett av de teman jag sett fram emot mest. Vet inte varför egentligen, men jag gillar snöflingor på naglarna.

Jag har valt att göra en ganska subtil och mjuk manikyr denna gången. Jag la Zoya Purity som bas, hittade jättefina snöflingor på MoYou London Festive 06 som jag stämplade med ett ljusblått lack från Ya Qin An som jag tyvärr varken vet namn eller nummer på. Över det hela la jag ett lager med Rainbow Syrup som är ett holotopcoat från Ellagee.

Tyvärr syns mönstret lite sämre på mina bilder än i verkligheten. Riktigt synd för jag är så otroligt nöjd med den här manikyren. Den ger mig den där härliga vinterkänslan man har när det är bara några minus och snön faller i stora flingor mot ditt ansikte.

At last December is here and the Winter Nail Art Challenge Begins! First out of our themes is snow and it's probably one of the themes I have been looking forward to the most. I really don't know why but I like snowflakes on the nails.

I have chosen to do a fairly subtle and soft manicure this time. I added Zoya Purity as the base, found some really nice snowflakes on the MoYou London Festive 06 plate that I stamped with a light blue stamping polish from  Ya Qin An that I unfortunately neither know the name or number of. Over it all I added a layer of Rainbow Syrup that is a holotopcoat from Ellagee.

Unfortunately, the pattern appears a little more subtle at my pictures than in reality. Really a shame because I'm so incredibly happy with this manicure. It gives me that wonderful winter feeling you have when there are only a few minus and the snow is falling in big flakes on your face.

Depend O2 - 5032 Make A Wish

Idag visar jag ett av lacken från Depend O2s julkollektion Rough Glitter. Lacket har nummer 5032, men även namnet Make A Wish som jag tycker är bra mycket trevligare än bara ett nummer.

Hela den här kollektionen består av lack som torkar med textur eller liknande sandlack. Just Make A Wish har glitter i två olika lila färger. Jag var lite förvånad över att behöva ha tre lager för att det skulle täcka ordentligt. Trodde nog att ett eller två skulle räcka, men det gör det definitivt inte. Dock är det lätt att måla med och torktiden är ok för ett sånt här lack.

Jag har valt att visa det utan topplack som det är tänkt att bära. Och jag måste säga att det är en riktigt snygg färg plus att ytan inte alls blev så skrovlig som jag befarat utan faktiskt helt ok. Till och med för mig som verkligen inte är en vän av textur på lack. Jag kan mycket väl tänka mig att ha det här utan topplack, men jag tror också att det här blir grymt snyggt med topplack på.

Så sammanfattning av mitt första möte av ett av lacken i Rough Glitter kollektionen är att jag är mycket positivt inställd. Det man dock ska tänka på om man väljer att inte ha topplack är att torktiden blir betydligt längre än vad man normalt är van vid med ett snabbtorkande lack ovanpå. Så kanske inte snabbmåla innan utgång.

Today I will show you one of the polishes from Depend O2's Christmas collection Rough Glitter. The polish has the number 5032, but also the name Make A Wish that I think is much nicer than just a number.

This whole collection consists of polishes that dries textured. Make A Wish has glitter in two different purple colors. I was a little surprised that I needed three layers to make it cover completly.I thought that one or two would be enough, but it's definitely not. However, it's easy to paint with and the drying time is ok.

I have chosen to show it without topcoat as it's supposed to be worn. And I must say that this color really is appealing to me and a big plus is that the surface is actually pretty smooth to be a textured polish. Ok even for me that really isn't a friend of this finish. I can well imagine having this without topcoat, but I also believe that this will stunning with topcoat on.

So my summary of my first meeting with the polihses in the Rough Glitter collection is that I am very positi surprised. You should however be aware of that if you wear it without topcoat the drying time is a lot longer than if you have topcoat on, so it might not be a good idea to paint this just before you are supposed to go out or do something with your hands. So it's not a grab, paint and go polish.
