United In Pink - Gloss'N Sparkle Strawberry Jive

I'm a Barbie Girl.... Jo, det är vad jag får upp för sång i huvudet när jag har det här lacket på mig!

Ett extremt Barbierosa glitter lack från Gloss'N Sparkle vid namn Strawberry Jive. Lacket är ett krämlack med glitter i guld och mörkare rosa.

Som ni kanske förstått så är inte det här alls mitt favoritlack, men det finns egenskaper med det som jag gillar. Jag har nu testat 3 olika Gloss'N Sparkle lack och jag måste ju säga att lättare glitterlack att applicera är nog svårt att hitta. Här behövs inget duttande för att glittren varken ska komma med upp ur flaskan eller sprida ut sig på nageln. Så på det viset gillar jag lacket skarpt.

Jag har 3 lager på, men jag tror faktiskt att det kunde räckt med 2. Jag hade inte optimalt ljus när jag målade så jag vågade inte chansa utan la på ett extra för säkerhets skull. På bilderna har jag också ett lager med Poshé över.

Det här lacket skickade Katarina på Edgy Polish upp till mig och är även det andra lacket som jag kommer att lägga ut på auktion för att få in pengar till Rosa Bandet insamlingen. Som har skrivit tidigare så kommer ja att informera mer om detta i ett separat inlägg.

I'm a Barbie Girl .... Well , that's what I start to sing whenever I look at this polish!

An extremely Barbie Pink glitter polish from Gloss'N Sparkle named Strawberry Jive . The polish is a cream polish with glitter in gold and darker pink.

As you may have understod this is not my favorite color , but there are things that I like a lot with this polish. I have tested 3 different Gloss'N Sparkle polishes and I have to say that so far they have been the easiest glitter paint to apply that I have tried. There is no need to fish for the glitters in the bootle or having problems to get them to spread out on the nail.  So in that way , I like the polish sharply .

I have 3 layers on , but I actually think it could be ok with 2. I did not have optimal lighting when I painted so I did not dare take a chance and applied the third just in case. In the pictures , I also have a layer of Poshe over .

This polish is sent to me from Katarina on Edgy for review and is also the second polish that I will be posting on auction to raise money for the Pink Ribbon collection . As has been written before, there will be more information in a separate post.

United In Pink - China Glaze I Pink I Can

Det här med att köpa det Rosa Bandet och faktiskt ha det på sig är något som jag insett inte funkar för min del. Jag köper hellre andra produkter där delar av försäljningen går till Rosa Bandet kampanjen. Som t.ex sallader, soppåsar, kakor och allt vad det nu kan finnas. 

En sak som också finns som jag mer än gärna köper när delar går till välgörenhet är nagellack. Och dagens inlägg i United In Pink veckan är ett av lacken som China Glaze släppte med årets Breast Cancer Awarness collection Pink Of Me. 

Lacket heter I Pink I Can och är ett lite gammelrosa glitter lack. Rosa glitter i olika storlekar i en klar bas. Det kanske skulle kunna gå att använda på egen hand, men det är nog inget jag kommer att testa i alla fall. Istället passade jag på att testa det här när OPI Honk If You Love OPI satt på naglarna. 

Resultatet blev inte exakt som jag tänkt mig, det var svårare att dra ut lacket till en gradient än vad jag förväntat mig, men jag tycker ändå mycket om färgkombinationen och det lilla extra blinget som I Pink I Can tillför.

This business of buying pink ribbons and actually wearing it is something I realize doesn't work for me. I rather buy other products where a portion of sales goes to the Pink Ribbon campaign. Such as salads , garbage bags , cakes, and whatever it may be .

One thing that I am more than happy to buy when parts go to charity is nail polish. And today's post in the United In Pink Week is one of the polishes that China Glaze released with this year's Breast Cancer Awarness collection Pink Of Me .

The polish is called I Pink I Can and is a bit dusty pink glitter paint . Pink glitter in different sizes in a clear base. It might be possible to use on it's own, but it's probably not something I will try anyway. Instead, I took the opportunity to test this when OPI Honk If You Love OPI sat on the nails .

The result was not exactly as I expected , it was harder to pull out the polish to a gradient than what I had tought it would be, but I still think it turned out nice. I like the color combination and the extra bling that I think I Pink I Can adds to it .

United In Pink - Rainbow Honey Ephemeral

Välkomna allihopa till en tema vecka helt ägnat åt rosa. Inte bara rosa lack utan även rosa nailart i alla dess former kommer att dyka upp här hos mig. Längst ner i varje inlägg denna veckan kommer det att finnas länkar till alla andra som deltar. Så titta gärna där, vem vet du kanske hittar en ny blogg som du missat. Den här veckan kommer sen också att avslutas med en nailart sunday hos Lelack med tema Rosa Bandet.

Angelica har också varit oerhört generös och lovat att skänka 20 kronor för varje deltagare till Rosa Bandet insamlingen.

När jag berättade för finaste Katarina som har Edgy Polish att Pamela och jag skulle köra en rosa vecka erbjöd hon sig på direkten att skicka några rosa lack som jag kunde prova och visa. Jag hade först tänkt att tacka nej eftersom jag vet att jag inte egentligen använder rosa lack förutom vid ynka få tillfällen, men sen slog mig en tanke om hur jag skulle kunna använda dom där rosa sakerna till något bra.

Det här lacket som jag visar idag och ett till som Katarina skickade mig kommer att läggas ut på auktion och summan av de auktionerna kommer att gå oavkortat till Rosa Bandet insamlingen. Bra va!

Oj, då det blev mycket text! Nu till dagens rosa inslag. Ett lack från ett märke som jag inte testat tidigare, men som jag garanterat kommer att prova igen. Det här är Rainbow Honey Ephemeral. Anledningen att jag blir sugen på att testa något från märket igen är att det var kanonbra formula på det här och en väldigt trevlig borste.

Färgen är ljusrosa med lite lila skimmer och en blandning mellan metallic och frost finish. I det här fallet gillar jag finishen även om färgen inte är något som direkt får mig att jubla. vill man ha ett diskret lack som ändå har lite färg skulle jag tro man gillar det här. Två lager räcker och torktiden var helt ok. På bilderna har jag inget topplack.

When I told sweetest Katarina that owns Edgy Polish that Pamela and I were going to have a pink week she offered right away to send some pink polish that I could try out. First I thought of say thank you but no thank you since I hardly ever use pink polishes accept when there are themes like this, but then an idea starting to grow of how I could use those pink polishes in a very good way.

This polish that I show today and one more that Katarina sent me will be put up for auction (only for Swedish bidders) and the sum of the auctions will be donated to the Pink Ribbon collection . Good eh!

Oh , that was a lot of text! Now for today's pink manicure. A polish from a brand that I have not tried before, but I sure will try it again . This is Rainbow Honey Ephemeral. The reason that I am eager to try something from the brand again is that it was a super nice formula to this, and a very nice brush as well.

The color is light pink with some purple shimmer and a mixture of metallic and frost finish. In this case, I like the finish, although the color is not something that immediately makes me rejoice. If you want to have a discreet polish that still has a bit of color, I would think you like this . Two coats is enough and the drying time was ok. In the pictures I have no topcoat .

Nailart Sunday - Skittlette

Den här veckan gav Angelica oss temat Skittlette. Något som jag velat testa ett tag, men inte kommit mig för. Så Tack Angelica för att vi denna Nailart Sunday får njuta av en massa kul Skittlettes bland bloggarna och för att du fick mig att få tummarna ur.

Det här passade ju dessutom alldeles utmärkt att fixa lagom till i fredags när vår CS-vecka på jobbet avslutades med att alla kom till jobbet finklädda. Själv äger jag inte så värst mycket finkläder och kjolar konstaterade jag att jag inte hade några alls, så det fick bli svarta jeans och min knalloranga tunika.

Till detta ville jag ju givetvis ha orange och svarta naglar. Så fram med Zoya Thandie, NYX Twillight Black Tie, stämpelplattor, Kleancolor Metallic Black och nu till det stora i det här mitt första test av texturlack. Zoya Dhara blev det första att få pryda mina naglar.

Vad jag tycker om att ha sandpapper på naglarna? Hm, sådär. Det här är ju ett übersnyggt lack, men konstigt kändes det allt.

Tillbaka till ämnet. Jag bestämde mig för att göra lite zebramönster på dom naglarna som skulle vara mönstrade och blev själv nöjd med resultatet. Lite Halloween aktigt kanske, men det passade utmärkt till mina kläder.

This week Angelica gave us Skittlette as the theme. Something I have wanted to try for a while, just hasen't done it. So thank Angelica for letting us enjoy a lot of fun Skittlettes among bloggers and for making me to get my thumbs out for this Nailart Sunday.

This also was a good thing to do for the finale of our CS-week at work that ended with all of us going to work dressed up. I don't own that much formalwear and skirts, actually no skirts at all, so it had to be black pants and my bright orange tunic.

For this , I wanted of course to have orange and black nails . So I took Zoya Thandie , NYX Twillight Black Tie stamping plates, Kleancolor Metallic Black and now for the big thing.. My first test of texture polishes. Zoya Dhara became the first to adorn my nails .

What I like having sandpaper on my nails ? Hmm, not sure. This is of course an uber stylish varnish, but I do think it feels strangely.

Back to the topic. I decided to do a little zebra pattern on the nails that should have a pattern and became self- satisfied with the result. The colors of course make you think a bit of Halloween, perhaps, but it was a good fit for my clothing .

Ert val / Readers Choice! - China Glaze Heart Of Africa

Jaha, lördag igen! Först hämta hem all inredning till badrummet som börjar närma sig att vara färdigt. Sen blir det jackjakt med finaste grannen :)

Men först ska det förstås bli ett inlägg med ert val från förra veckan. Återigen vann ett lack en ganska ohotad seger får man väl säga. Och en välförtjänt en också för vem kan motstå ett sånt här lack?

Jag pratar om China Glaze Heart Of Africa som jag trodde jag visat här innan, men det var fel så det blev ett otestat i alla fall den här lördagen. Ett helt fantastiskt rött lack. Ett ganska mörkt rött, nästan vinrött. Inte riktigt lika fint som Zoya Blair som är lite mer svärtat än det här, men absolut inte långt ifrån.

Hur är det att lack med då? Jo, formulan är bra, men man får akta så det inte rinner ner i nagelbanden, för röda lack är ett helvete när dom hamnar där. Vilket även syns lite på mina bilder. Det gäller alltså att inte sätta borsten för långt ner från början. Om man bara tänker på det så är det smidigt att lacka med. Det täcker på 2 lager. Jag har ett lager Poshé på bilderna också.

Självklart finns det en ny omröstning, men resultat får ni vänta lite med för hela nästa vecka är det rosa som gäller.

Well , Saturday again! First, we will go and pick up all the interior to our soon to be ready bathroom and then I will go to town with my dear neighbour and long time friend.

But first , I will of course post last weeks winner in readers choice. Again a winner that didn't have much competition . And a well deserved one too because who can resist a polish like this ?

I'm talking about China Glaze Heart of Africa as I thought I had shown here before , but I was wrong about that. So It's an untested polish that I show you anyway this Saturday. An absolutely superb red polish. A rather dark red, almost burgundy . Not quite as nice as Zoya Blair that is a bit more blackened than this , but certainly not far away .

How is it to paint with then? Well, the formula is good, but one must be careful so it does not run into the cuticles , red paint is a hell when they end up there. Which also can be seen in some of my pictures. It is therefore important not to put the brush too far down from the beginning. If you just think about that, it's easy to paint with . It covers in two layers. I have a coat of Poshe in pictures too.

Obviously there is a new vote, but you will have to wait for the results a bit since next week will be decicaded to color pink.
