Review Born Pretty Store Stamping polish

Idag har jag en recension av ett av de olika stampinglacken man kan köpa från Born Pretty Store. Det här är av ett märke som verkar heta Temix och finns i ett antal färger hos BPS.

Jag började med att testa det här på BPS egna plattor, men fick faktiskt inte det att följa med upp på stämpeln och ändå var jag rätt snabb. Till slut bytte jag platta och stämpel. Vilket gick mycket bättre.

Det var mycket enklare att få upp det här med en hårdare stämpel. MoYou Londons mjuka funkade inte alls, men Creative som ändå får räknas som mjuk, men inte i jämförelse med MoYou gick det mycket bättre med.

Men, så här kan det vara ibland vissa färger passar inte med vissa stämplar eller med vissa plattor. Man får helt enkelt testa sig fram. Och ja, det är ganska irriterande, så därför tycker jag det är bra för er läsare att få veta att det kan vara knepigt med just det här.

När jag väl fått över mönstret på stämpeln och fått ned det på nageln så blev resultatet riktigt bra. Det täcker bra och färgen blir detsamma som man ser i flaskan.

Allt som allt så tycker jag att det här är ett ok lack. Själva färgen är riktigt fin och det är ett billigt pris. Men som sagt det verkade inte funka med alla plattor och stämplar.

Today I have a review of one of the different stamping polishes you can buy from Born Pretty Store. This is a brand that seems to be called Temix and are available in a variety of colors at BPS.

I started testing this on one of BPS own plates, but was not actually able to get the pattern to transfer to the stamp and yet I was quite fast. In the end I changed to another plate and actually another stamp. Which went much better.

It was much easier to get this color to work with a stamper that wasn't to squichy MoYou London's soft did not work at all, but Creative did. And I would call that soft as well but not as the MoYou ones.

But, this happens from time to time that certain colors works better on some plates than others and also on different stampers. You simply has to try you way around to some that works. Yes, it is a bit annoying but these are not totaly unusal. However, I think it's good for your readers to know that it can be tricky with this particular.

Once I got the pattern on to the stamper and transfered it to the nail I think that the result was really good. It covers well and the color is the same as you see in the bottle.

All in all, I think this is an ok stampinpolish. The actual color is really nice and it's a cheap price. But as I said it seemed to not work with all plates and stamps.

Reader's Choice - Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Unbe-leaf-able

Jag har mycket på gång idag. Först frisören och sen 17-års uppvaktning, men självklart blir det också läsarnas val.

Lacket ni valde åt mig är Superficially Colorful Lacquer Unbe-leaf-able ett thermolack som skiftar från att vara mörkt vinrött när naglarna är kalla till en varm rosa ton när man är varm om naglarna. I lacket finns även en del skimmer och glitter. Ett riktigt intressant lack tycker jag.

Tre lager har jag på bilderna och topplack. Torktiden var bra och det är mycket smidigt att jobba med.

Jag gillar ju verkligen att gå omkring med ett lack som ger en gradients hela tiden. Även om den här rosa kanske inte tillhör favorit nyanserna så gillar jag ändå det här lacket en hel del. Och att det är så tydliga skiftningar man behöver inte fundera på om det är ett thermolack eller ej.

I have a lot going on today. First it's time to go to the hairdresser and then we will celebrate my nephew that has turned 17. But I can't let you miss out on this weeks reader's choice. 

The polish you chose for me is Superficially Colorful Lacquer Unbe-leaf-able a thermo polish that shifts from being dark burgundy when the nails are cold to a warm pink tone when they are warm. The polish also has some shimmer and glitter in it. A really interesting polish.

In the pictures I have three layers and topcoat. The drying time was good and it is very easy to work with.

I do really love to walk around with a polish that gives you a gradient all the time. Even though this pink may not belong to my favorite shades I still like this polish a lot. And one of the reasons is that the shifts between warm and cold color is so visable you don't have to wonder if it's a thermo or not.

Lady And The Stamp!

Inte trodde ni väl att jag skulle lämna ett krämlack orört? Nejdå självklart blev det lite stamping på China Glaze Lady And The Vamp och för att göra det ännu mer Halloween aktigt så blev det svarta MoYou London Black Knight som användes.

Mönstret kommer från  Überchic UC 4-01 och jag måste säga att jag tycker det här blev en riktigt bra manikyr. Inte en manikyr för någon som gillar diskreta naglar kanske...

Vad säger ni?

You didn't think that I would leave a creme polish untouched on my nails did you? Oh no that wont happen. So I did some stamping on top of China Glaze Lady And The Vamp and to make this Halloween polish more Halloween looking I used the black MoYou London Black Knight for the stamping. 

The pattern comes from Überchic UC 4-01 and I have to say that I think this turned out really well. But maybe not a manicure for those who like to keep their nails a bit discrete maybe...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Pets #1

Den här månadens tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Pets eller husdjur på svenska. Jag har klurat en del på vilka manikyrer jag ska göra för att illustrera detta och en hoppade upp i hjärnan när jag fick hem Glam Polish Fleur. För i flaskan ser det nämligen ut att vara samma färg som en av mina älskade undulater har. Nu är det lite mer gråtonat i verkligheten än vad min lille Tonks är, men det funkar ändå.

Dessutom tyckte jag att det var lite kul att använda ett lack från en Harry Potter box för att göra en manikyr som ska representera en fågel som är namngiven efter en annan karaktär ur Harry Potter.

Självklart får ni en bild längst ner på min Tonks också. Basen är alltså Glam Polish Fleur och sen har jag gjort en waterfall manicure med hjälp av Purrfect Pawlish Soft & Fluffy,  Zoya Purity och lite Parrot Polish Silver & Gold på toppen.

Tyckte nog det blev ett helt ok resultat. Tonks själv däremot såg skeptiskt ut som vanligt kanske jag kan tillägga för varje gång jag har bytt lack tittar dom konstigt på mina naglar!

This month's theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative are pets. I tried to figured out what kind of manicures I should do and one just poped in to my head when I got Glam Polish Fleur. Because in the bottle it looks to be the same color as one of my beloved budgies are. Now it's a little more greyed  in reality than what my little Tonks is, but it works anyway.

Moreover, I thought it was fun to use a polish from a Harry Potter box to do a manicure that will represent a bird which is named after another character from Harry Potter.

And of course you will get a picture of my Tonks too. The base is therefore Glam Polish Fleur and then I made a waterfall manicure using Purrfect Pawlish Soft & Fluffy, Zoya Purity and a little Parrot Polish Silver & Gold on top.

I think it turned out ok. Tonks himself however looked skeptical as usual maybe I might add for every time I have changed polish they give my nails strange looks!

China Glaze - Lady And The Vamp

Är ni redo för Halloween? Inte jag förutom möjligen med nagellack för China Glaze Lady And The Vamp är ett av lacken från årets Halloween kollektion som heter Ghouls Night Out.

Det här är ett riktigt skarpt orange krämlack, men ett äkta neon vill jag inte kalla det för det torkar inte matt. Fast så nära man kan komma i alla fall. Formulan var lite rinnig och faktiskt lite tjock på samma gång. Det gäller att man inte tar för tjocka lager för då blir det ganska seg torktid på det hela.

Bilderna visar lacket lite ljusare än vad jag tycker det är i verkligheten, men den här typen av lack vill oftast bli så här på bild. Jag har tre lager och topplack på.

Älskar den här färgen och även om formulan var lite trixig i början så tog det inte lång stund innan man kom underfund med den tycker jag. Dessutom tycker jag det är kul med ett orange halloween lack som lika gärna kunde dykt upp i en sommarkollektion. Jag är helt klart nöjd med det här. En sak till förresten man behöver inte lägga det över vitt för att få riktigt bra effekt.

Are you ready for Halloween? I'm certinaly not except possibly on the nailpolish side. China Glaze Lady And The Vamp is one of the polishes from this year's Halloween collection called Ghouls Night Out.

This is a really sharp orange creme polish, but not a genuine neon as it doesn't dry matte. Though as close as you can come I would say. The formula was a bit runny and actually a bit thick at the same time. It's important to not take too thick layers because then it becomes quite long drying time.

The pictures show the polish a bit lighter than what I think it is in reality but this type of polish would usually behave like this on pictures. I have three coats and top coat on.

I love this color and even though the formula was a little tricky at first, it did not take long before I was friendly with it. I also think it's fun with an orange Halloween polish that could just as well have appeared in a summer collection. I am clearly pleased with this one. And one other thing is that you don't need to paint this over white to make it pop out this nicely. 

Glam Polish - Fleur

Jag har för första gången köpt en sån där hemlig box med lack. Ni vet en där man får veta tillverkarna av lacken och temat men inte mer än så. När What's In-die Box? hade Harry Potter tema kunde jag inte låta bli och idag visar jag det första av de fem lacken därifrån.

Det här är Fleur av Glam Polish och självklart har det då inspirerats av Flear DeLacour en karaktär som dök upp först i boken Den flammande bägaren.

När jag såg det här i flaskan tyckte jag det såg helt ljuvligt ut, men på naglarna är jag inte helt imponerad. Fint, ja, men inget speciellt tycker nog inte jag i alla fall. Färgen är blågrå med fin holo i. Det är som sagt inget fel på den, men jag hade nog förväntat mig mer faktiskt.

Men det jag absolut gillar med det här lacket är att det är riktigt bra att måla med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också. Torktiden var helt ok.

Vad tycker ni om hemliga lackboxar och framförallt vad tycker ni om Fleur?

I have bought my first secret polish box. You know one of those where you get to know the brands that will be featured and a theme but not how the actual polish will look. When What's in-die Box? had a Harry Potter theme I could not resist and today I show you the first of the five polishes from that.

This is Fleur from Glam Polish and obviously it's inspired by Flear Delacour a character who first appeared in the book The Goblet of Fire.

When I saw this in the bottle I thought it looked absolutely adorable, but on the nails, I'm not entirely impressed. Yes, it's nice but for me it ends with nice  The color is blue-gray with a nice holo in it. As I said, nothing wrong with the color, but I had probably expected more.

But the thing I absolutely love about this polish is that it's really great to paint with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too. The drying time was ok.

What do you think about secret polish boxes and above all what do you think of Fleur?

United In Pink!

Vi är i och för sig bara i början av September ännu, men vi vet ju alla hur fort tiden går så rätt som det är så är vi inne i Oktober och som de flesta vet så är ju det månaden vi uppmärksammar det Rosa Bandet lite extra.

Det är nog få av oss som inte vet vad det Rosa Bandet står för, men för säkerhetsskull så kan jag berätta att Rosa Bandet kampanjen är till för att väcka uppmärksamhet åt Cancerforskningen kring bröstcancer. Och något man inte heller får glömma bort är att det är minst lika viktig kampanj för att uppmärksamma alla de som varje år drabbas av denna sjukdom. De som själva är drabbade, men även de meddrabbade som familjer och vänner är.

För tredje året i rad kommer vi att ha en temavecka där vi visar rosa manikyrer både på våra bloggar, Facebook Instagram och även Pinterest. Den här kommer att hållas v.43 alltså 19-25/10.

Vi kommer att kunna lägga till Inlinkz till våra inlägg så att alla kan se varandras bidrag. Om man inte har en blogg eller Instagram, men Pinterest så är man välkommen att visa sitt rosa bidrag på vår Pinterest anslagstavla.

I know it's only the begining of September but we all know how fast the weeks pased by and soon it will be October as most of us know that is the pink month. The month when we pay attention to the pink ribbon a little extra. 

I think there are very few of us that don't know what the pink ribbon stands for, but for safety's sake, I can tell you that the Pink Ribbon campaign is to bring attention to cancer research around breast cancer. And something you also shouldn't forget is that it also shows us the importans of supporting the victims of the disease and their familys and friends.  

For the second year in a row, we will have a theme week where we show our pink manicures both on our blogs, Instagram, and Pinterest. This will be held week 43 that is the 19th to 25th of October.

My Top 5 Orange Polishes

Dags för ännu ett inlägg i min Topp 5 serie och färgen orange. Jag gillar verkligen oranga lack, men har faktiskt inte supermånga. Ändå var det rätt svårt att välja ut enbart fem stycken. Och som vanligt så har jag valt både med hjärta och öga. 

Nu när hösten är här så tycker jag det här är en färgkategori som passar bra och jag vill gärna veta vilka favoriter ni har i era samlingar. 

Så låt oss börja!

Time for another post in my Top 5 series and the color orange. I really like orange polishes, but I really haven't gotten that many as you might think. Yet it was kind of hard to choose only five. And as usual, I have chosen both with my heart and eyes.

Now that fall is here, I think this is a color category that fits well and I'd love to know what Favorites you have in your collections.

Let's begin!

Först ut är Zoya Amy ett ganska eldigt skimmerlack som jag burit ett flertal gånger och gärna återkommer till. 

First out is Zoya Amy a shimmer that I have worn several times and like to get back to. 

Darling Diva Charger är ett helt fantastiskt glitterlack som det verkligen sprakar om. Synd att det inte görs längre för det här behöver man i sin samling om man gillar orange. 

Darling Diva Charger is an amazing glitter polish that really sparkles. It's just a shame that it's no longer available because this is a must if you like orange polishes. 

Pretty Serious My Darlin' Clementine. Den här bar jag på vår första långresa med älskade MG:n och jag kunde konstatera att det satt som berget och var supervackert i solskenet. 

Pretty Serious My Darlin' Clementine is the polish I wore on our first longer trip with our beloved MG and I can tell you that this lasts really good on the nails and the shine of it in the sunshine is amazing.

Japp här kommer ännu ett lack ur L.A Girls 3D Effects serie. Det här är Electric Coral ett lack som är så himla fint. Synd att dom här inte vad jag vet i alla fall går att få tag på längre för hela serien är fantastiskt fin. 

Ok here comes another polish from L.A Girls 3D Effect series. This is Electric Coral a polish that is just amazing. Too bad that you can't find these anymore. at least I don't think you can, because it's certinaly one of my favorite collections.

Ok nu till min allra första oranga kärlek och kanske fortfarande den allra största kärleken av dom alla. China Glaze Riveting, lacket som tillsammans med Agro fick mig att läsa Hungerspelen. Det här är bara så fint och om du inte har det så borde du skaffa dig det medans det fortfarande finns att få tag på lite här och där för det här är och förblir ett fantastiskt lack med ett så himla fint skimmer. 

And now to my first orange polish love and maybe still the biggest love of them all. China Glaze Riveting the polish that together with Agro made me read the Hunger Games books. This is just so pretty and if you don't have it I tell you to get it while it's still possible because this is a fantastic polish with such a beautiful shimmer.

Test of MoYou London Stamping polishes!

För ett tag sedan fick Katarina på Edgy Polish hem MoYou Londons stämpellack och jag gjorde en beställning på en gång. Jag behöver ersätta alla mina Mentality som bara var att slänga och sen kommer jag även sälja mina Mundo De Unas rätt som det är då jag har väldigt svårt med lukten på dom. 

Jag beställde sex stycken lack och så var Katarina gullig och skickade med tre stycken för recension också. 

Nu har jag bara hunnit testa lite snabbt på något lite kladdiga svartvita naglar, men meningen med det här inlägget är inte att skapa snygg nailart utan mer för att visa hur lacken täcker över svart och vitt och alltså över ljusa och mörka baslack. Så ni får stå ut med lite kladd och något slarvig stamping. 

Och jag måste säga att jag är än så länge väldigt nöjd. Kanske framför allt nöjd med det vita som heter White Knight. Det täcker fantastiskt bra över svart. Allihopa var lätta att jobba med. Lagom tjock konsistens och lätta att skrapa ut. Dom är betydligt mindre tjocka än vad Mundo De Unas lacken, men klart tjockare än ett "vanligt" nagellack. Det enda som inte är vanligt krämlack är det silvriga Silver Dust som är mer av ett skimmer till finishen, men även det var mycket trevligt att jobba med och täckte också riktigt bra över både ljust och mörkt. 

Nu behöver man kanske inte ha speciella stampinglack utan många vanliga lack funkar också, men jag föredrar faktiskt att ha dom här som är gjorda för att stämpla med för ofta så är dom mer täckande än vanliga. 

Jag kommer skriva under bilderna vad det är för färger som använts. På varje nagel har jag nämligen använt två lack förutom på lillfingret där det bara är en. 

Vill man som jag ha stampinglack så tycker jag det här är ett bra alternativ och du hittar dom här hos Edgy Polish.

A while ago Edgy Polish started to sell MoYou London stamping polishes and I made an order at once. I need to replace all of my Mentality that I had to through out and I will also sell my Mundo De Una's even though they are great I really can't stand that smell. 

I ordered six polishes and Katarina was cute as usual and sent three for review too.

I will be honest and say that I haven't tested these very much yet. But I did a fast test over a bit messy black and white nails. The purpose of this post is not to show a fancy manicure so you have to live with a little messy nails and a bit sloppy stamping. No the purpose is to try these over black and white to see how the work over a dark and a light color.

And I must say so far I'm very pleased. Perhaps mostly with the white named White Knight. It covers fantastic over black. All ov them was easy to work with. I liked the formula and they were easy to scrape out over the pattern. They are significantly less thick than Mundo The Unas, but clearly thicker than a "normal" nail polish. The only one that hasn't creme finish is Silver Dust which is more of a shimmer to the finish. This was also great to work with and covered really well on both light and dark.

Well it's not necessary to have special stamping polishes because many "normal" polishes works just fine, but I actually prefer to have these made for stamping that often are more opaque than normal polishes.

I will write under the pictures what colors used. On each nail, I have beens stamping with two different colors except for the little finger where there is only one.

Reader's Choice - Kiko 855

Lördag och det är konstrunda här i bygden så det blir nog en liten tur tror jag. I alla fall så blir det en till Väckelsång och bilutställning

Idag så är det ju också Läsarnas Val här hos mig och lacket ni valde åt mig köpte jag i Berlin i Oktober förra året. Det är Kiko 855. Kiko är ett riktigt bra märke till bra priser så är ni någonstans ute i Europa och stöter på en Kiko butik tycker jag ni ska slå till.

855 är ett mörkt tealfärgat skimmerlack. Jag har tre lager på, torktiden var bra. I det här är det en ganska bred och lite rundad pensel som är trevlig att jobba med. På bilderna ser ni det med topplack på.

När jag först applicerade det här så tänkte jag att det var ju fint, men kanske lite tråkigt. Men efter att ha burit det i tre dagar har jag ändrat mig. Det är ett väldigt vackert lack och ett av dom lacken som jag fått mest kommentarer om faktiskt. Jag har trivts mycket bra i färgen även om den som sagt kanske inte är den mest magiska jag någonsin sett.

Den här veckan har sonen valt lacken ur min otestade låda så ta och rösta på vilket som ska visas vid nästa Läsarnas Val.

It's Saturday and it's a lot of art exibitions in the communitys close to us so I think we will drive around at look at some of that. I know for sure that we will go to a car show in the closest town to us. 

Today, it is of course also Readers Choice here at Lacky Corner and the polish you voted for is a one that I bought in Berlin in October last year. It is Kiko 855. Kiko's a really good brand with great prices. In Sweden we don't have any Kiko stores so you have to get these if you are travelling in Europe and comes across a Kiko store.

855 is a dark teal colored shimmer polish. I have three layers on and the drying time was good. This bottle has a rather broad and slightly rounded brush that is pleasant to work with. In the pictures you can see it with topcoat on.

When I first applied this I thought it was fine, but maybe a little boring. But after wearing it for three days I have changed my mind. It is a very beautiful polish and one of those polishes that I have received the most comments on actually. I have enjoyed wearing this very much. It might not be the most magical color I've ever worn but as I said I liked it. 

This week my son dug down in my untested drawer and chosed the polishes that you can vote for.

Born Pretty Store Nail Vinyls

För ett tag sedan fick jag hem ett paket med produkter från Born Pretty Store för recension och bland dom fanns det en typ av mallar eller nail vinyls. 

Jag har provat en del olika nail vinyls och tyckt att de flesta varit riktigt bra och det var absolut inget större fel på dom här heller. 

Ett paket består av 12 stycken mallar 6 i varje mönster. Det man måste tänka på när man ska använda dom här är att man målat på topplack och låtit det torka riktigt ordentligt innan man sätter på själva mallen annars lär man få med sig lacket när man plockar bort mallen. 

Det jag inte riktigt gillade med dom här var att dom satt ihop ni vet som bokmärken nästan med en liten liten flik. Detta gjorde att man fick vara rätt försiktig när man lossade på dom annars blir det som ni ser på mina bilder med mallen på nageln lätt att den går sönder i ett hörn. 

Dom var i alla fall lätta att sätta på nageln och fastnade utan problem. Jag valde att sätta på två naglar och göra doms om accentnaglar. Efter jag placerat mallen målade jag med China Glaze Riveter Rouge. 

Det man också ska tänka på är att inte låta mallen sitta kvar länge efter man målat på lacket utan ta bort på en gång. Det var inget större problem att plocka bort dom och jag tycker nog att resultatet blev helt ok.

A while ago I received a package with products from Born Pretty Store to review and among them there was a kind of templates or nail vinyls.

I've tried a few different nail vinyls and thought that most were really good and there was absolutely nothing wrong with these either.

A package consists of 12 pieces 6 in each pattern. What you must consider when to use them is that you must have applied top coat and let it dry really thoroughly before putting on the vinyls or else you will probably have the polish following the vinyl when you remove it. 

One thing I really didn't like whit these was that they are attached to eachother the same way that you kan see with bookmarks or stickers you with a little small tab. This meant that you had to be quite careful when removing them from the plastic they sit on otherwise it can happen as it did to mine and that is visible in the pictures they break in the corners. 

They were easy to put on the nail and got stuck without a problem. I chose to put on two nails and make them into accent nails. After I placed the vinyl I painted with China Glaze Riveter Rouge.

You should also keep in mind not let the template remain long on the nail after you painted. Remove it right away. There was no major problem to remove them and I think that the result was quite ok.
