The Neverending Pile Challenge - China Glaze Pink Of Me

Det här är absolut inte en färg som ni ser ofta här hos mig. Blekrosa kräm är liksom inte riktigt min grej. Men när temat var rosa idag så tyckte jag det var dags att släppa fram dom här arkivbilderna.

Lacket köpte jag till United In Pink veckan vi hade i Oktober och förmodligen kommer att ha även i år. Det är en del av China Glaze trio som dom sålde där delar av intäckten gick till bröstcancerforskningen.

Namnet är Pink Of Me och nu är det ett tag sedan jag lackade med det, men eftersom jag oftast skriver ner hur många lager jag målat med och hur det var så vet jag att det här är tre lager och som vanligt med lite pastelliga lack så blev det lite ojämt innan jag la på ett lager av Poshé.

Som sagt inte något jag bär ofta, men jag tycker ändå att det är bra att ha i samlingen. En bra basfärg och även en ganska diskret färg om man skulle behöva ett sånt typ av lack.

Sen ångrar jag absolut inte att jag köpte det här för att bidra med lite pengar till forskning har jag inget emot.

This is definitely not a color you see often here at Lacky Corner.  Pale pink cream is so not my type of color. But when the theme was pink today I thought it was time to let this out from the archive. 

I bought this polish to use at our  United In Pink week we had in October and probably will have this year as well. It is part of the China Glaze trio that they sold where parts of the income went to breast cancer research. 

The name is Pink Of Me, and it's been a while since I painted with it, but since I usually write down how many layers I use and who it is to paint with I know that this is three coats and as usual with pastel polishes it becomes a bit uneven before I put on a coat of Poshe. 

As I said this is not something I wear often, but I still think it's good to have in the collection. A good base color and also a fairly subtle color if you would need one of those type of polishes. 

I absolutely don't regret that I bought it. The fact that it made me make a contribution to research is something I have nothing against.

Essie - The More The Merrier

Tycker vi fortsätter på det gröna temat lite till. Kan det möjligen vara så att jag hamnat i ett totalt grönt läge kanske!

Det här Essie The More The Merrier ett av deras lack från förra året. Ännu ett lack i den där nästan neongröna nyansen som jag så lätt faller för. Det här är ju absolut inget undantag. En mycket härlig grön nyans. Perfekt om man vill pigga upp sig lite grann.

Formulan var lite skum faktiskt. Jag kan inte riktigt sätta fingret på vad det är, men den är liksom tjock och ändå skir på en gång. Lite som lacken ur China Glaze Electropop kollektion.

Nåväl, om man bara tog i lite och la det andra lagret ordentligt tjockt så räckte det med två lager. På bilderna ser ni det utan topplack.

Det här är ännu ett lack som jag fick från en av tjejerna i födelsedagsgruppen förra året och jag måste säga att det var absolut mitt i prick.

Let's continue with some green polish!. Could it possibly be that I'm in a green mode at the moment?

This is Essie The More The Merrier one of their polishes from last year. Another polish that is almost neon green that I so easily fall for. This is of course no exception. A very lovely shade of green. Perfect if you want to liven up a bit. 

The formula was a little tricky actually. I can't really pinpoint what it is, but it is thick and yet sheer at the same time. A bit like the polishes from the China Glaze Electropop collection. 

Well, if you just took a bit thicker layer on the second one you could stop at that. In the pictures you see it without a topcoat. 

This is another polish that I got from one of the girls in my Birthday group last year and I must say it was absolutely right on target.

Nailart Sunday - Motivation

Angelica har valt Motivation som dagens tema för Nailart Sunday. Ett ämne som man kan tolka absolut hur som helst.

Vad är motivation för mig? Det beror ju på. När det gäller bloggen så är ju motivationen att få feedback tillbaka. Alltså kommentarer, besökare och följare. För självklart är det roligare att blogga när man ser att det faktiskt är någon som läser bloggen.

I mitt privatliv har det ju varit ett jobbigt år och motivationen att ens gå upp på morgonen har varit svag, men nu är jag starkt på gång tillbaka igen. Något som motiverat mig och fått mig att må väldigt bra är fotografering. Vi bor mitt ute på landet och hela min trädgård är en stor motivation till att ta foton och så också skogen som vi äger och nästan bor i.

Därför blir det inte så mycket naglar idag utan faktiskt lite andra foton också.

Men om vi börjar med naglarna så kände jag för en glad manikyr när jag skulle vinka av sonen som är på studieresa i Berlin och sen på grillfest hos min chef. Vad har det med motivation att göra då? Jo, glada naglar får mig på bra humör och då får jag mer motivation till annat.

Basen är Chirality Katydid som jag visade i fredags och sen har jag använt Konads svarta stampinglack och ett mönster från Bundle Monster #304. Poshe över förstås.

Angelica has chosen Motivation as today's theme of Nailart Sunday. A theme that one can interpret in so many ways!

What is motivation for me? It depends on. As for this blog  the motivation is of course to get feedback. Feedback as in getting comments, visitors and followers. For of course it's more fun to blog when you see that it's actually someone who reads the blog.

In my personal life, it's been a hard year and the motivation to even get up in the morning has been weak, but now I am back on track and feeling pretty good again. Something that has motivated me and made me feel good is photography. We live in the country side and all over my garden I can find great motivation to take photos and so too the woods that we own and almost live in.

Therefore, this post becomes not so much about nails today but actually about other kinds of photos too.

But if we start with the nails. I felt for a happy manicure when I was waving goodbye to my son who went to Berlin with his school and after that I went to a bbq at my boss. What has this to do with motivation you might think? Well, happy nails puts me in a good mood and then I get more motivation to do other things.

The base is Chirality Katydid that I showed this Friday and then I used Konad black stamping polish and a pattern from Bundle Monster # 304. And Poshe on top.

Läsarnas Val / Readers's Choice! - Shimmer Cristina

Det blir glittrigt och fint idag!

Det är inte ofta som jag har glitterlack på hela nageln egentligen. Oftast brukar det sluta med någon typ av gradient eller en layering av något slag, men idag kände jag att jag ville visa Cristina i all sin skönhet. För det var just Shimmer Cristina som vann förra veckans omröstning.

Jag tyckte att det var lite knepigt att få fram rätt färg, lite lite mer turkos är det nog. Shimmer lacken är av riktigt hög kvalité och är superlätta att applicera. Torkar fort som bara den gör dom också. Jag har tre lager på och två lager av Poshé.

För precis som med många liknande lack så är det lite topplacks ätande, men vad gör väl det när det ser ut så här?

Basen till lacket är ofärgad sen är det som sagt turkos/grönt glitter blandat med lite röda glitter också. Så himla fint! Och att det sprider ut sig så smidigt när man målar är ju fantastiskt trevligt.

Har ni inte testat något från Shimmer än, så är det dags!

Are you ready for some sparkle today!

It's not often that I have glitter polish on the entire nail. Usually it end up with some type of gradient or a layering of some kind, but today I felt that I wanted to show Cristina in all its beauty. Because it was Shimmer Cristina that you voted most for last week.

I thought it was a little tricky to get the right color in the pictures. I think it is a little bit more turquoise is reality. Shimmer polishes are of a really high quality and is super easy to apply. Dries very very fast as well. I have three layers and two layers of Poshe. 

Just as with many similar polishes this does eat up the topcoat so two layers is a good idea. But who cares when it looks like this? 

The base of the polish is uncoloured then it's like I said turquoise / green glitter mixed with some red glitter too. So very nice! And it spreads out so smoothly when painting and that is so awesome. 

If you haven't tried anything from Shimmer yet, it's about time now!

Holofredag - Chirality Katydid

Inte nog med att det är Sveriges Nationaldag idag det är också Skimmerskuggans holofredag! Nu kan man ju då kanske tycka att jag skulle visa en blå/gul manikyr en sån här dag, men det gör säkert många andra så jag vill istället påminna alla om den fantastiska grönskan som vi nu har i vår natur. Något som jag älskar vårt land för.

Lacket jag väljer att visa idag är Chirality Katydid. Ni har hört det förut och kommer få höra det många gånger till, men varför har jag inte använt det här innan?

Eftersom jag fick det här av en av tjejerna i födelsedagsgruppen så vet jag ju med säkerhet att det stått i lådan nästan ett helt år. Det är något lite skirt, men jag tyckte ändå att det räckte med tre lager. Torktiden var helt normal och jag har valt att visa det utan topplack, för jag fick lite idéer när jag hade lackat på det här.

Katydid är ett ljust grönt hololack. Visste ni förresten att Katydid är en typ av insekt? Från samma familj som gräshopporna och med tanke på det så tycker jag att färg och namn passar utmärkt ihop. Holoeffekten är inte superframträdande, men ack så vacker.

Jag blir glad av den här typen av färg. Gillar den alldeles väldigt mycket måste jag säga. Så med detta önskar jag er alla en riktigt trevlig Nationaldag!

Not only is Sweden's National Day today, it is also Skimmerskuggans holofriday​​! Well, you might think that perhaps I should have shown a blue/yellow manicure a day like this, but my guesses is that a lot of other Swedish bloggers will do that so I would instead like to remind everyone about the amazing greenery that we now have in our nature. Something that I love about my country.

The polish I choose to show you today is Chirality Katydid. You have heard it before and will hear it many times more but why have not I used this before?

Since I got this from one of the girls in the birthday group, I know for certain that it has been in the drawer for almost a year. It is a bit sheer, but I still thought it was enough with three layers. The drying time was completely normal and I have chosen to display it without topcoat because I got some ideas when I had painted with this...

Katydid is a bright green holographic polish. Did you know that Katydid is a type of insect? From the same family as the locusts  and given that I think the color and the name is a great fit. The Holo in it isn't super prominent, but oh so beautiful.

I always gets happy when I'm wearing this type of shades on polishes. Like it quite a lot I must say. So with that I wish you all a very enjoyable National Day!

Misa - The Great Green Whatsit

Dags för ännu ett märke som inte får så mycket uppmärksamhet. Synd, för Misa har en hel del bra grejer även om just det här lacket faktiskt inte alls föll mig i smaken. Något som jag trodde det skulle för det ser väldigt trevligt ut i flaskan. Lacket heter The Great Green Whatsit.

Det var absolut inga problem att applicera det, men det är skirt. Jag har fyra lager på och det är faktiskt nödvändigt om man inte lägger det över något annat. Jag har väl i och för sig inte några problem att måla många lager om jag bara tycker att lacket är värt jobbet, men nej jag tycker nog tyvärr inte det i det här fallet. Ett lager Poshé över också.

I flaskan ser det ut som att det skulle kunna vara lite duokromt, men jag ser inte mycket av det på naglarna. Dessutom är det en något lite konstig finish. Blandning av metallic och frost på något sätt. Nej, jag tycker faktiskt att det här är tråkigt. Synd för Misa är annars ansvarig för två av mina favoriter A Sin Worth Commiting och Grey Matters. Så kolla in dom istället.

Time for yet another brand that does not get as much attention. Pity, because Misa has a lot of good stuff even if just this polish didn't really made me happy. Something that I thought it would because it looks very nice in the bottle. The polish is called The Great Green whatsit.

There were absolutely no problems applying it, but it's sheer. I have four layers on and it's actually necessary if you don't put it over anything else. Well I have normally not a very big problem to paint many layers. Not if the polish is worth the job, but no, in this case unfortunately it isn't the case. I also have a layer of Poshe over it. 

In the bottle it looks like it could be a bit duochrome, but I don't see much of it on the nails. Moreover, it is a somewhat weird finish. Mixture of metallic and frost in some way. No, in fact I think this is boring. Too bad for Misa is otherwise responsible for two of my favorites A Sin Worth Commiting and Grey Matters. So check them out instead.

Grön Onsdag - HM Bella's Choice

Idag tänkte jag visa ett mycket fint lack från HM som jag tänkte kanske kunde fuska sig in på Karins gröna onsdag också. Jo, det är väl mest turkost, men faktum är att i verkligheten känns det lite mer grönt än vad som syns här så det borde vara ok.

Lacket heter Bella's Choice och tyvärr så tror jag att detta är ännu ett HM lack som inte säljs längre. HM har mycket fina lack, men dom är lite för snabba ibland att plocka bort grejer ur sitt sortiment.

Det här täcker på två lager och torkar fort. På bilderna ser ni det utan topplack, så alltså inser ni också att det blir väldigt glansigt och slätt även utan.

Jag gillar det här! I flaskan kanske man kan tycka att det ser lite halvtrist ut, men på naglarna är det jättefint.

Today I have a very nice polish from HM that I thought maybe I could sneek into Karin's Green Wednesday with. Well, it's most turquoise, but the fact is that in reality, it feels a little more green than what you see here so it should be ok. 

The polish is called Bella's Choice and unfortunately, I think this is yet another HM polish that are not sold anymore. HM has very nice polishes, but they are a little too fast sometimes to remove stuff out of his range. 

This covers in two coats and dries quickly. In the pictures you can see it without a topcoat, so you see it is very shiny and smooth even without. 

I like this! When you look at the bottle you might think it looks a boring, but on the nails, it is beautiful.

Darling Diva Polish - Charger

Herrejösses vilket lack säger jag bara!

Jag pratar om Darling Diva Polish Charger. Carrie som är skapare av Darling Diva är fantastiskt duktig på att skapa den här typen av glitter tycker jag.

Charger är ett orange lack med klar bas och sen packat med glitter. Mest microglitter, men även några lite större. Jag valde att piffa upp Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? med det här alltså har jag ett annat lack i botten, men jag är helt övertygad om att man kan få det att täcka alldeles utmärkt på egen hand också.

Jag har två lager över det färgade lacket i botten och sen två lager av Poshé över det. För det här lacket äter topplack, så jag skulle förmodligen haft Glitter Food också, men jag är inte riktigt kompis med det faktiskt.

Kompis med Charger är jag då å andra sidan desto mer. Ett helt fantastiskt lack i mitt tycke och jag kan ju tänka mig hur det här skulle bli som en gradient över svart. Blir lite lycklig i hjärtat av bara tanken på det.

Oh my God what a polish!

I'm talking about Darling Diva Polish Charger. Carrie the creator of Darling Diva is amazing when it comes to creat this type of glitter in my opinion.

Charger is an orange polish with clear base and are then packed with glitter. Mostly micro glitter, but also some slightly larger ones. I decided to spruce up Where Did Suzi's Man- Go? with this so I have a colored base underneath, but I am absolutely convinced that you can get it to cover just fine on it's own as well.

I have two coats of Charger over the OPI polish and then two coats of Poshe over it. For this polish eats top coat, so I'd probably should have  had Glitter Food too, but I don't really get along that well with glitter food so I skipped that. 

But one thing I do get along with and really well is Charger. An absolutely fantastic polish in my opinion and I can imagine how this would be as a gradient over black. I get happy just thinking about it.

OPI - Where Did Suzi's Man-Go?

Häromdagen så hade en av tjejerna jag följer via Instagram konstaterat att man ger alltför lite kärlek till dom där "vanliga" märkena som kanske till och med var ens favoriter innan alla Indielack gjorde sitt intåg och dessutom blev relativt lätta att få tag på. Det tycker jag stämmer rätt bra. Marknaden har exploderat och det finns ju så mycket roligt som man vill visa så vissa märken har en tendens att kanske bli stående lite oförtjänt länge i lådan som t.ex det här lacket från OPI.

Det här kommer från Brazil kollektionen och den har ju förvisso inte varit ute på marknaden alls lika länge som en del andra lack från mainstream märken som jag har i lådan, men jag kände ändå att nu när första sommarmånaden är här var det dags att visa detta.

Jag skulle nog vilja säga att det är aningen mer klös i färgen än vad mina bilder visar, men en väldigt trevlig persiko orange liksom. Det var dessutom mycket trevligt att lacka med och täcker på två lager. Jag tyckte inte att det blev strimmigt och dessutom var det väldigt glansigt och fint även utan topplack, men på mina bilder så har jag ett lager av Poshé över.

En härlig sommarfärg och om jag hade varit brun och fin i huden hade den varit ännu finare misstänker jag. Klart värt att äga i alla fall.

The other day, one of the girls I follow via Instagram determined that she gives way too little love for those "regular" brands that might even were your favorites before all the Indiepolishes made theirs appearance and additionally became relatively easy to obtain. I absolutly agree with her. The market has exploded and there is also so much fun that you want to show that some brands have a tendency to might be standing a little undeserved time in the drawer such as this polish from OPI .

This comes from the Brazil collection and it has certainly not been out on the market nearly as long as some other polishes from mainstream brands that I have in the drawer, but I still felt that now that the first summer months are here, it was time to show this.

I'd like to say it's a bit more sharper in color than my photos show, but a very nice peach orange as well. Furthermore, it was very nice to paint with and covers in two layers. I didn't think it became streaky and also it was very shiny and nice even without a top coat, but at my pictures, I have a layer of Poshe over.

A lovely summer color and if I had been more tanned I suspect it would have been even more lovely. Clearly worth owning anyway.

Nailart Sunday - Another Grey!

Idag är det Nailart Sunday och jag liksom fastnade i det gråa temat som vi kört med i veckan. Tyckte det här blev så snyggt så att det fick bli mitt bidrag denna veckan.

Jag har använt mig av Depend 194, China Glaze Pelican Grey och en stamping platta nummer 39 från Infinity Nails.

Inte visste jag att China Glaze Pelican Grey skulle gå att stämpla med, men det gjorde det utan problem.

Today is Nailart Sunday and I kind of stayed in the grey theme for earlier this week. I thought this turned out really great so this is my contribution for this week.

I had no idea that China Glaze Pelican Grey was this good for stamping. It work soo well.
