A-England - Beauty Never Fails

Idag blir det ett lack som jag inte för två sekunder funderar över varför jag har det i min samling. Jag har i och för sig inte köpt det själv utan fick det i ett av mina fina paket genom födelsedagsgruppen, men blev jätteglad eftersom det var ett av lacken på min önskelista.

Lacket är A-England Beauty Never Fails och det här lacket nästan skriker det Helena om. Mörkt murrigt grönt med guldflakes. Fantastiskt vackert och så är det ju från A-England vars formula jag håller högt.

Täcker alldeles utmärkt på två lager. I alla fall om man tar lite tjockare lager. Glansigt och snyggt utan topplack. Precis som synes på bilderna.

Today, I will show you a polish that I do not for two seconds wonder why I have in my collection. I didn't buy this myself,  but got it in one of my lovely birthday package through the birthday group I'm part of on Facebook. And was thrilled about finding it in the parcel since this was on my wishlist.

The polish is A-England Beauty Never Fails and this polish almost screams my name. Dark drab green with goldflakes. I don't think a polish can be so much more Helena like than this. Fantastic beautiful and it's from A-England whose formula I hold high.

If you take two little thicker layers it covers without problem in only two. Glossy and neat without topcoat. As seen in the pictures.

Pretty & Polished - Romance Is Dead

Ok, vi fortsätter med lack som jag inte riktigt vet varför jag köpte. Eller det är nog förresten fel i det här fallet, för jag tror att det var namnet som jag gillade och att lacket var fint, men kanske inte så unikt.

Vi pratar om Pretty & Polished Romance Is Dead ett lila skimmer lack som ingår i en kollektion som heter Heavy Metall och jag tror svaret på varför jag köpte lacket finns där. Vem kan motstå lack från en kollektion med ett sånt namn?

Nåväl, det är en snygg färg absolut, men inte unik och jag har liknande i min samling. Det här var lite knepigt att applicera tycker jag. Penseln ville gärna dra med sig lacket om man försökte dra mer än en gång på samma ställe. Tre lager har jag på och inget Seche på bilderna.

Jo, jag gillar lacket, men om jag behöver det i min samling är väl tveksamt kanske.

Ok, we continue with polishes that I don't really know why I bought. Or actually I do think I know why I bought this and it's the name! I liked the name and bought the polish. Well I did think it was a nice color as well.

We're talking about Pretty & Polished Romance Is Dead a purple shimmer polish that is part of a collection called Heavy Metal and I think the answer to why I bought the polish is there. Who can resist polish from a collection with a name like that?

Well, it's a great color definitely but not unique and I have similar in my collection. This was a little tricky to apply, I think. If you weren't carefull you did get bald spots. I have three layers on, and no Seche on the pictures.

Well, I like the polish, but if I need it in my collection might be doubtful.

Zoya - Freja

Undrar ni ibland när ni tittar på en flaska ni köpt varför i hela fridens namn du köpte det där lacket. Det ser ju inte särskilt spännande ut. Zoya Freja är en sån flaska. Ett grå lack med något lite lila undertoner.

Inte alls så tokigt på naglarna, men absolut inget som jag hoppar av glädje över. Ett vardargslack som jag i och för sig trivs mycket bra i. Lättmålat som de flesta andra Zoya lacken. Lite skirt kanske. Jag behövde 3 lager för täckning. Torktiden är helt ok och på bilderna är det inget topplack.

Ångrar jag att jag köpte det här, nej, men samtidigt så är det inget lack som jag känner att jag egentligen behöver. Fast det är klart, det  här med lite svart stamping över skulle ju kunna bli en riktig höjdare eller varför inte lite mörklila över.

Vad säger ni är det ett lack som ni skulle köpt? Och har ni också några flaskor som står för att ni funderar över vad ni tänkte på när ni köpte dom?

Do you sometimes wonder when you look at a bottle you bought why on earth you bought this polish. It doesn't seem to be a particularly exciting one. Zoya Freja's such a bottle. A gray coat with a little purple undertones.

Not that bad ones it's on the nails, but certainly nothing that I jump for joy over. A nice every day polish a color that I do feel very comfortable in. Easy to apply  like most Zoya polishes. A little sheer maybe. I needed 3 coats for coverage. The drying time is quite ok and in the pictures there is no topcoat.

I don't regret that I bought this, no, but it's not a polish that I feel I really need. But of course, this with a little black stamping over could be a really good one or maybe a little purple over would be nice as well.

1.  Why do you have a nail blog ? Well, I started to follow a lot of nailblogs about two years ago or maybe earlier and soon figured out that I wanted one too. I love blogging about all the amazing polishes that is out there. 
2. What your family thinks about your hobby ? If they're aware of it, of course… Oh, they are aware of it! My closest family thinks it's ok as long as it makes me happy. The rest of them thinks it a bit strange and can't understand why you "need" to have so many polishes and if it really is possible that all of them are different. 
3. Which kind of finish do you love the most ? Hm, I think I need to say shimmer, but holo is also great and metallic as well.
4.  What’s your favorite nail polish ? This is an hopeless question! It depends on what mode I'm in, but I do have to say that Zoya Charla is the one polish I keep return to.
5.  You are cast away on an island, and only 3 things survive to the shipwreck. What they are ? My nailfile, my glasses ( I'm almost blind without them) and a handcream :)
6. Who’s the strongest: The Thing (it's clobberin' time)or The Hulk (Hulk smash tiny humans)? Haha, great question! I say the Hulk.
7. When you blog ? There’s a specific moment in your day, or not ? I don't really have a rutine for this. I do it whenever there are time of from cleaning, cooking or other boring housework.
8. Do you love tea ? Yes I do! But my stomach doesn't so now I only drink Rooibois that works with my tummy.
9. How many languages do you currently (and properly) speak ? I wish I could say more than Swedish and English but I can't. It's a secret dream of mine to be able to speak a lot of languages.

Blå Måndag - Orly High On Hope

Tänkte att det kanske är dags att åtminstone försöka visa dom lacken som släpptes med vårkollektionerna innan hösten slår till med full kraft. Så därför så har jag idag valt att visa Orly High On Hope.

Återigen slås jag av det konstiga att jag alltid låter dom lacken som jag faktiskt gillat bäst när jag kollat runt på nätet bara stå och vänta. Det här är absolut ett sånt. Jag har för mig att jag köpte 3 lack ur vårkollektionen Hope & Freedom varav det här var det som jag såg fram emot mest att få. 

High On Hope är blurple alltså blålila i färgen så frågan är om Tove på Nail Me godkänner det här till blå måndag eller inte. Nåja, försöka duger väl? Grundfärgen är väldigt fin i sig, men det som gör det lite mer unikt är att det också finns rosa/magenta färgat skimmer i det. Utan det hade det här bara varit vilket lack som helst, men så blir det inte nu. 

Orly brukar ha mycket bra formula och så även på detta lack. Jag har tre lager och ett lager seche över på bilderna. 

Håller det för mina förväntningar då? Ja, det tycker jag. Jättefint lack som jag trivdes bra i.

Thought I should at least try to show you the rest of the polishes from spring collections that I have standing before the autumn hits us full force. So therefore, today I have chosen to show Orly High On Hope.

Again, I am struck by the strange thing that I always let those polishes that I actually liked best when I looked around on swathces online wait the longest before using them.. This is definitely one of those. I think i bought 3 bottles from the spring collection Hope & Freedom of whom this was what I looked forward most to get.

High On Hope is blurple you bluepurple so the question is whether Tove on Nail Me approves this to Blue Monday or not. Well, I have to try right? The ground color is very nice in itself, but what makes it a little more unique is that there are also pink / magenta shimmer in it. Without that, this would have been just any polish, but not now!

Orly usually have very good formula and so on this polish as well. I have three layers and a coat of seche over in the pictures.

Did it live up to my expectations then? Yes, I think so. A really nice polish that I felt suited me well.

Nailart Sunday - Stjärntecken/Zodiac Sign

Vaknade redan vid klockan sex idag på morgonen. Inte riktigt planerat faktiskt, dessutom med huvudvärk. Nåja, tror ändå jag ska ta mig i kragen och åka och köpa vinterjacka idag.

Men, först så ska jag visa er vad jag hittat på till denna veckans Nailart Sunday. Angelica som har bloggen Lelack och även är den som bestämmer temat på Nailart Sunday gav oss stjärntecken som tema denna veckan.

Jag kan förresten redan nu slå ett litet slag för söndagen v.42 då vi avslutar vår United In Pink vecka med en rosa Nailart Sunday.

Tillbaka till ämnet! Jag är född 11/7 och är kräfta. Min första idé var att göra tecknet för just kräftan, men sen kom jag på en helt annan idé. En manikyr som jag även gjorde för några veckor sedan när vi skulle på kräftskiva och som jag kopierat rakt av från Annefia på bloggen Fialand. Har ni inte varit och kollat in den bloggen så tycker jag ni ska göra det nu.

Ja, som ni kanske förstår så är det alltså väldigt enkla små kräftnaglar som jag då gjort med hjälp av Zoya Rehka, dottingtools, Zoya Purity och Raven. Nöjd med tolkningen? Jajamen :)

Woke up already at six o'clock this morning. Not really what I had planed and with a headache. Oh well, still think I'll take me by the collar and go and buy winter jacket today.

But first I'll show you what I did for this week's Nailart Sunday. Angelica who has the blog Lelack and also is the one who decides the theme of Nailart Sunday gave us the signs of the zodiac as the theme this week.

And as you might already know week 42 will be a pink theme week United In Pink and that will have it's final on a Sunday so my guess is that it will be a pink theme for Nailart Sunday that week :)

Back to the topic! I was born the 11th of July and my Zodiac sign is cancer. My first idea was to make the character for my Zodiac, but then I came to a completely different idea. A manicure that I also did a few weeks ago when we were on crayfish party (in Sweden we have those in August) which I copied straight from Annefia at the blog Fialand. Have you not been and checked out that blog, I think you should do it now.

Yes, as you might imagine, it's a very simple crayfish nailart that I done using Zoya Rehka, dottingtools, Zoya Purity and Raven. Happy with the interpretation? Oh yes!

Ert Val / Readers Choice! - Picture Polish Peacock

Ni måste verkligen gilla det här lacket för det här är faktiskt andra gången som det vinner ett läsarnas val!

Vilket lack? Jo, Picture Polish Peacock såklart. Det vann utan någon större konkurrens förra veckans omröstning.

Den här gången tänkte jag att ni skulle få se det utan något annat lack under. Förra gången visade jag nämligen det över ett mörkgrönt lack från Orly. Behövs det underkläder då? Nej, egentligen inte. Jag har visserligen fyra lager, men det funkar alldeles utmärkt så här. Sen tycker jag nog att det funkar lika bra vilket sätt man än väljer att ha det på.

Lacket består av glitter i en svagt lila färgad bas. Glitter i silver, teal och lite lila. Fyra lager har jag, men det är lätt att applicera det. Glittret sprider ut sig utan problem och torktiden är bra. Jag har ett lager med Seche över också.

Jag tycker det här är riktigt fint och namnet på det är väldigt passande också :)

Då återstår att se vad ni tänker rösta fram åt mig till nästa vecka.

You must really like this polish because this is actually the second time that it wins a Readers' Choice!

Which varnish? Well, Picture Polish Peacock of course. It won without major competition in last week's poll.

This time, I thought that you would get to see it without any basecolor underneath. Last time I showed it over a dark green polish from Orly. Is there a difference? No, not really. I have four layers on and if you apply it over something else I guess you only need two, but it works just fine like this. I feel that it works just as good any way you choose to wear it.

The polish is made up of glitter in a sheer lilac colored base. Glitter in silver, teal and a little purple. As I said I have four layers on, but it is easy to apply it. The glitter spreads out without problems and the drying time is good. I have a layer of Seche over too.

I really like this color and the name of it is perfect!

All that remains is to see what you intend to vote for me for next week.

Holofredag - China Glaze OMG A UFO

Fredag, holofredag, fikafredag och snart helg. Trevligt!

Jag är nog bland dom sista som fallit till föga och visar lack från China Glaze Hologlam kollektion. Jag måste erkänna att jag kände mig ganska lurad när den kom. Hade extremt höga förväntningar som föll lite platt. Inte för att lacken inte var fina, men jag hade nog tänkt mig lite mer holo och något alldeles särskilt.

Nåväl, nu äger jag en del av de här lacken till slut i alla fall. Och det första som jag testar är OMG A UFO som jag då måste säga att jag tycker är väldigt vackert. En sån där grön som jag alltid gillar. Visst det är ingen superholo, men återigen så vet jag inte varför jag gnäller över det när jag också oftast tycker att dom lacken som är lika fina i solsken som i skugga är bäst. Och ett sånt lack är ju absolut det här.

Det har varit en del klagomål på att dom har varit väldigt jobbiga att lacka med och att man behövde ha Aqua Fix under. Just därför kunde ju inte jag låta bli att testa utan något special underlack utan. Nja, alltså det går absolut att måla med det, visst är det lite holosjukt om man inte är försiktig och det hade säkert varit enklare att måla med Aqua Fix. Jag har två stycken ganska tjocka lager. Jag tror att det är lättare med tjockare lager och ordentligt med färg på penseln än tunna lager i det här fallet.

På bilderna har jag inte något topplack.

Friday, in Sweden it's holofriday​​ and soon weekend. Nice!

I'm probably among the last ones that have bought some of the polishes from China Glaze Hologlam collection. I must admit that I felt quite disappointed when it was released. I did have extremely high expectations that fell a little flat. Not that the polishes wasn't nice, but I had imagined a bit more holoeffect in them and something much more special..

Well, now I own some of these polishes anyway. And the first one I try is OMG A UFO and I do have to say that I think is very beautiful. One of those green which I always like. Certainly there is no superholo, but again I do not know why I'm whining about it when I also often think that those polishes that are as nice in the sunshine as in the shade is the best. And this is absolutely one of those polishes.

There have been some complaints that they have been very tough to paint with and that you needed to have Aqua Fix below. That's why I could not help but test without any special base coat underneath. Well, it's not the best polish I have painted with. Sure there are some holosickness if you're not careful when you are applying it. And it probably would have been easier to paint with Aqua Fix. I have two fairly thick layers. I think it's easier with thicker layers and plenty of paint on the brush than thin layers in this case.

In the pictures, I have no topcoat.

Depend Chameleon 2087

Idag blir det bildspam deluxe! Det här är det första av Depends Chameleon  lack som jag testar. Vad jag vet så har dom inga namn, men det kan jag ha fel i, utan bara nummer och det här heter 2087.

Jag tycker väldigt mycket om Depend som märke och även om flaskorna är lite små och ostadiga så har dom en suverän borste och kvalitén är oftast mycket bra. Så även den här gången. Eller den här gången är lacket helt enkelt perfekt!

2087 gör verkligen rättvisa åt att vara en kameleont. Det finns väldigt mycket färgskiftningar i det och jag måste säga att det här gillade jag alldeles väldigt mycket. Lacket skiftar både mellan, guld, grön, lila, rosa och lite blått då och då också. Det är sällan som man stöter på ett lack som är så mycket multikromt och jag ser extremt mycket fram emot att testa den andra lilla flaskan jag har ur den här serien.

Formulan var bra, men lite skir. Tre lager och ett lager med Seche har jag på.

Today there will be image spam deluxe! This is the first of Depends Chameleon polishes that I test. To my knowledge, they have no names, but I can be wrong, only numbers and this is called 2087.

I really like Depend as a brand and even if the bottles are a bit small and unsteady they still have a great brush and the quality is usually very good. So even this time. Or this time, the lacquer is simply perfect!

2087 really does justice to be a chameleon. There are a lot of color changes in it and I must say this, I liked quite a lot. The polish varies both between, gold, green, purple, pink and blue every now and then too. It's rare that you come across a polish that is so much multichrome and I'm looking extremely forward to testing the second small bottle I have from this serie.

The formula was good, but a little sheer. I have three layers and a layer with Seche in the pictures.

Delush Polish - O'Briens Revenge

Vissa lack känner man på en gång när man lackar med dom att man kommer trivas i. Delush O'Briens Revenge är just ett sånt lack. 

Ett helt underbart höstigt lack. Färgen är orange,brons,rosaaktig. Absolut en metallickänsla på det. Lite penseldrag blir det, men dom syns mer på fotona än i verkligheten. Formulan var mycket trevlig, men precis som på Lord Earl Grey så var penseln lite för mjuk för att jag ska vara helt nöjd. 

Mjuk pensel eller inte så täcker det fint på två lager om man tar lite tjockare eller tre väldigt tunna. Jag har två lager och seche över. 

Men jag skulle bra gärna vilja veta vem O'Brien är och vem eller vad är det han ska hämnas på?

Do you ever have the feeling when you put on a new polish that you know instantly that you are going to love wearing it? Delush O'Brien's Revenge is just one of those polishes for me.

An absolutely wonderful polish with an autumn color. The color is orange, bronze, pinkish. Absolutely a metallic feel to it. Ok, you do get some brushstroke,  but they are more visible in the photos than in reality. The formula was very nice, but like the Lord Earl Grey,  the brush is a little too soft for me.

Soft brush or not it covers nicely in two coats if you take a little thicker layers or three very thin. I have two coats and seche over.

But I would like to know who O'Brien is and who or what it is he will take revenge on?
