Reader's Choice - Powder Perfect Ghostlike Charm

Det första jag gjorde när jag hade ätit frukost imorse var att klä mig varmt och ut och fota soluppgången bakom snöklädda träden. Det är så gudomligt vackert ute och idag var det inte så fruktansvärt kallt heller.

Sen satte jag mig och målade med dagens läsarnas val lack, så det är nylackat jag bjuder på idag. Lacket är Powder Perfect Ghostlike Charm från Color4Nails Holiday Box 2015. Ett gråbrunt holo som även har guldskimmer.

Det här var riktigt trevligt att måla med och täcker utan problem på två lager. Torktiden var också bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Färgmässigt så skulle jag kalla det här för jordtonat eller neutralt, men sen har det ju tillsatts en jättevacker holoeffekt och ett skimmer på det. Så även om färgen är neutral, så skulle jag inte kalla lacket för det. Nä, det är en riktig lite pärla måste jag säga. Powder Perfect är fantastiskt duktiga på att göra gråa, bruna och lite ljusare färger intressanta, men ändå behålla den lite nedtonade stilen.

Jag gillar det här massor och faktum är att jag dras lite till den här typen av lack just nu. Lite svalare, nedtonat, lugna lack.

Veckans omröstning är med lack som random.org har valt ut åt mig.

The first thing I did when I had eaten my breakfast this morning was to dress warm and go out and take pictures of the sunrise behind the snow-covered trees. It is so divinely beautiful out there and today it wasn't so horribly cold either.

Then I sat down and painted with today's readers' choice polish so this is really fresh pictures. The polish is Powder Perfect Ghostlike Charm from Color4Nails Holiday Box 2015. A brown/grey holo which also has a gold shimmer.

This was really nice to paint with and covers without trouble in two layers. The drying time was also good. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

Color wise, I would call this earth toned or neutral, but then it also has this beautiful holo and a very nice shimmer to it. So even if the color is neutral, I would not call the polish that. Nah, it's a real jewel, I must say. Powder Perfect is incredibly talented at making gray, brown and a little lighter colors interesting, but still keep it toned down.

I like this a lot and for some reason I'm really drawn to this type of colors right now. The earthtoned, calm, cooler polishes.

A-England - Whispering Waves

Trots att jag har så himla många otestade äldre lack som står i lådan så var jag faktiskt tvungen att måla med mitt allra nyaste lack på en gång. Jag fick nämligen hem A-England Whispering Waves från Edgy Polish och hade jag inte varit så himla trött i Måndags så hade jag målat med det då, nu fick det vänta en hel dag på att bli använt.

Hos den här lackgalningen är det en ära, för ett år är ju faktiskt inte helt ovanligt även för lack som jag verkligen, verkligen velat ha.

I alla fall så följer Whispering Waves gammal fin A-England tradition och är fantastiskt att måla med. Två lager har jag på, men det kanske skulle kunna funka med ett också. På bilderna är det topplack på. Torktiden var mycket bra.

Färgen är en turkos med både holo och en del skimmer skulle jag vilja säga. Eller ska det vara duochrome? Det kanske i så fall ska det skifta i något lite rosa, men det kan jag nog inte tycka att det gör utan det blir mer som ett skimmer, men ett väldigt fint sådant.

Jag tycker det här är grymt fint. Och att A-England tillhör ett av mina favoritmärken är ju ingen större hemlighet.

Even though I have so very many untested older polishes standing waiting to be used I actually had to paint with my newest polish at once. I got A-England Whispering Waves in the mailbox this Monday. I bought it from Edgy Polish and if I had not been so tired that evening I would have painted with it then but I couldn't keep my eyes open so it had to wait an entire day to be used.

In this polishnerds home that is an honor. Because some polishes had been standing over a,year before getting used and it can be those that I just had to have. 

In all cases Whispering Waves follows nice A-England tradition and is great to paint with. I have two layers on, but it could maybe have worked with just one. I have topcoat on in the pictures. The drying time was very good.

The color is turquoise with both holo and some shimmer, I would say. Or should it be duochrome? Perhaps and in that case it's changing towards some pink, but I really don't think it shifts so I still say that it's a bit of a pink shimmer in it. A very nice one. 

I think this is so pretty! And the fact that A-England belongs to one of my favorite brands isn't that much of a secret.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Purple #2

Dags för manikyr nummer två i vårt lila tema. Och jag blev väldigt sugen på att göra en leadlight manikyr, men jag är inte helt förtjust i fem naglar med den typen av mönster så jag gjorde en favorit istället. Nämligen accentnagel.

Det jag har använt mig av är: Depend 163, Zoya Purity, mönster från BM XL-108, stämplat med MoYou London Black Night och ifyllt med Essie No Shrinking Violet & Muse, Myself.

Jag vill först och främst skriva lite om Depend 163 som jag till min besvikelse just insåg inte igår i deras permanenta kollektion och alltså inte går att få tag på längre. Min flaska är nästan slut och det här tillhör ett av mina första lila och har en liten speciell plats i mitt hjärta faktiskt. Det är ett rödtonat lila skimmer som täcker på två lager och är riktigt smidigt att måla med. Ett lack som jag som sagt tycker väldigt mycket om.

Sen var det första gången jag använde mig av Essies Watercolor lack, jag har tidigare haft leadlight lack från det där märket som vi inte nämner vid namn längre och helst låtsas som att det aldrig fanns. Ledtråd det börjar på M och slutar på entality... Men dom här var riktigt trevliga att jobba med, så det kanske blir några mer färger därifrån i framtiden.

Jag är väldigt nöjd med min manikyr, tycker det blev lagom mycket mönster och älskar färgerna.

Time for manicure number two for this months purple theme. I was very eager to make a leadlight manicure, but I'm not entirely fond of doing that on five nails so I made a favorite type of manicure instead. Namely accent nail.

What I have used is: Depend 163, Zoya Purity, pattern from BM XL-108, stamped with MoYou London Black Night and filled with Essie No Shrinking Violet & Muse, Myself.

I would first like to write a bit about Depend 163 which, to my disappointment I just realize isn't in their permanent collection and therefore isn't available anymore. My bottle is almost empty and this belongs to one of my first purple and have a little special place in my heart actually. It's a reddish purple with a beautiful shimmer that covers in two layers and is really easy to paint with. A polish that I as I said like very, very much.

This was the first time I used Essie Watercolor polishes I have previously had leadlight polishes from that brand that we do not mention by name any longer and pretend like it never existed. Hint, it starts with an M and ends with entality ... But these were really nice to work with, so I might end up getting a few more colors from the collection in the future. 

I'm very happy with my manicure. I think it has just enough pattern and I love the colors.

Essie - Frock 'N Roll

Essie är ett märke som jag inte har så många lack ifrån. Synd egentligen för det finns väldigt många fina lack som kanske rent av kommer lite i skymundan bakom andra mainstream märken.

Idag har jag i alla fall ett Essie till er. Från deras höstkollektion 2015. Det här är Frock 'N Roll och jag bara älskar det här namnet!

Själva lacket är återigen ett sånt där som är lite svårt att bedöma färg på. Det ser mer gråaktig ut i flaskan, men när det kommer på nageln är det mer brunt åt det röda hållet. I flaskan ser skimret silvrigt ut, medans jag upplever det mer bronsigt på nageln.

Essie kan vara lite sisådär ibland när det gäller formulan, men det här var helt perfekt. Två lager med bra torktid och sen är du färdig. Ja, lite topplack på också.

Det här är lite märkligt för när jag visade Celestial Under Full Moon Light häromdagen vilket jag kan tycka har en lite liknande färg så var jag inte alls imponerad, men Frock 'N Roll gillar jag. Verkligen gillar. Och jag har ingen aning om varför faktiskt. Men jag rekommenderar det här helt klart.

Essie is a brand that I don't have so many polishes from. That is actually a shame because there are many beautiful polishes from this brand,  but maybe they have gotten a bit overshadowed behind other mainstream brands.

Well, today I will show you one from Essie. From their autumn collection 2015. This is Frock 'n roll and I just love this name!

The polish is again one of those who are a bit difficult to describe to color of. It looks more gray in the bottle, but when it comes on to the nail, it's more brown to the red side. In the bottle it looks like silvery shimmer, while I feel it becomes more like bronze shimmer on the nail.

Essie may be a little so-so at times when it comes to formula, but this was absolutely perfect. Two coats with good drying time and you're finished. Ok some topcoat too. 

This is a bit strange because when I showed Celestial Under Full Moon Light the other day, which I would say is a little similar to the color, I was not impressed at all, but Frock 'N Roll i really really like. And I have no idea why, actually. But I sure recommend this.

Cupcake Polish - What In Carnation?

Jag har inte något liknande det här i min samling det är jag helt säker på. Cupcake What In Carnation? är ljust turkost med holo. Jag har absolut turkosa lack i min samling, men inte något annat som är i denna nyansen och till det då också holo.

Det är inte mitt första Cupcake lack och jag har en del andra som står otestade också vilket känns riktigt trevligt för än så har inte märket gjort mig besviket när det gäller att måla med. Två lätta lager som torkade fort som vinden. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Som sagt unikt i min samling. Är väl kanske inte jättepepp på färgen en extremt kall och vintrig dag som det är när jag skriver det här, men oj vad fint det här kommer vara i sommar!

 

I don't have anything else like this in my collection of that I am absolutely sure. Cupcake Polish What In Carnation? is bright turquoise with holo. Of course I have other turquoise polishes, but not anything that is in this hue and above that holo.

It's not my first polish from Cupcake and I have some others who are untested, too, which feels really nice for so far this brand has not made me disappointed. It so easy to work with. Two layers that dried fast as the wind is enough. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

That said unique in my collection. When I'm writing this it's extremly cold outside so I really don't feel like wearing this kind of color, but just imagine how adorable this will be in the summer!
