What happened to my 2015 favorites? Part 2

Efter ett ganska nedslående resultat med enbart 1 av 14 lack återanvända igen så ger jag mig idag på del 2 av min lista av vad som har hänt med mina favoriter från förra året. Någonstans hoppas jag på ett lite annorlunda resultat, men jag tror nog att jag kommer bli besviken.

Idag är det de olika finisharna som jag hade listat. Resterande text blir på engelska.

After a rather disappointing results with only 1 of 14 polishes reused from yesterdays list I do hope for a better result today when part 2 of this investigation will take place. Though my hopes are not that high. 

Today I will take a look at my 2015 favorites in different finishes and see if any have been used again.

Purrfect Pawlish Color Out Of Space and YES this have been used again.

China Glaze Looking Bootiful has not been used and I'm actually a bit unsure if I still have it in my collection. According to my spreadsheet I do.

A-England Crown of Thistles this beauty has not been used again and I feel ashamed over that.

What happened to my 2015 favorites? Part 1

Så här på årets sista dagar bjuder traditionen att jag ska redogöra för vad som faktiskt hände med mina favoriter bland lacken förra året. En tradition som oftast blir ganska pinsam, men ändå känns lite intressant.

Det jag går igenom är om jag har använt favoriterna under det gångna året och om jag faktiskt har kvar dom i min samling. Som den lackgalning jag är brukar den här listan få mig att förstå att jag nog ska dra ner lite på min konsumtion och ge de redan existerande lacken lite mer kärlek.

När jag gör mina topplistor brukar de vara uppdelade i färg och finish och så är även de här inläggen. Texterna under bilderna kommer att vara på engelska så jag slipper att skriva dubbelt.

This year is soon over and a fresh one will start. This is a season for traditions and one of the traditions at Lacky Corner is to go through the of my favorites from the year before this and check if I have used them again or if I still have them in my collection. A tradition that usually gets quite embarrassing, but still feels a bit interesting.

As the polish hoarder I am this list usually makes me think that maybe I should stop buying more and instead give some love to those who already are in my collection. 

My top lists are divided into color and finishes and so will this post be. 

Gold

Purrfect Pawlish The Pale Mask and I can't remember using this again. 

Silver

Another Purrfect Pawlish this time Sparkle Of Joy and no this hasn't been used again either. 

Blue

Purrfect Pawlish Dagon Why oh why haven't I used this one again?

Brown

Purrfect Pawlish Sleepy Hollow gorgeous brown but somebody I know needed this more than me so I gave it away. 

Grey

A-England Jane Morris and no it has not been used this year. 

Green

OPI Green On The Runway this is starting to become really embarrassing becasue this beauty has not been used 2016.

Yellow

Purrfect Pawlish Yellow Lion. Would dare to take a guess... No pricemoney though. No it hasn't been used again. 

Purple

Superficially Colorful Lacquer Utral Aymokriyä. No not once this year.

Orange

China Glaze Lady and the Vamp has not been used again. 

Pink

Smitten Polish Date Night and yes finally a polish that has been used again!

Red

Delush Polish Glam Squad has been standing unused in the drawer this year. 

Teal

Glimmer by Erica Un-Teal We Meet Again is another that sadly has not been used. 

Black

Ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights is another polish that hasn't been used. 

White

Purrfect Pawlish Snow & Ice and you already know the answer. It has not been used. 

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Red & Gold

Hoppas ni alla haft en riktigt fin jul, det har jag i alla fall haft. Tomten kom med böcker och sällskapsspel.

Idag är temat rött & guld. Ganska klassiska julfärger även om jag personligen har rött och silver i min gran. Jag har gjort en enkel med snygg gradient med hjälp av Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn och Cirque Ica Valley.

Det må vara ett enkelt sätt att piffa till naglarna med en glittergradient, men jag måste säga att jag tycker att det är ett av de snyggaste sätten.

Idag tar jag och slår ihop Winter Nail Art Challenge med The Nail Challenge Collaborative igen.

Hope you all had a really nice Christmas, I certininaly did! Santa came with books and board games.

Today the theme is red and gold. Quite classic Christmas colors although I personally have red and silver in my tree. I made a simple but nice gradient using Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn and Cirque Ica Valley.

It may be an easy way to spice up your nails with a glittergradient, but I must say I think it's one of the neatest ways.

Today I also combine Winter Nail Art Challenge with The Nail Challenge Collaborative.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Reindeer, Santa or Elfs

Skinkan är kokt och griljerad och en smet till struvor står och väntar på att bli friterad.

Och jag har gjort små renar på mina naglar. Första handmålade nail arten i utmaningen faktiskt. Och till på köpet blev jag riktigt nöjd. Tycker Rudolf ser riktigt söt ut.

Jag vågar inte lova att det blir något inlägg imorgon, men om tid finnes så kanske det dyker upp något. T.ex så brukar jag ju gå igenom vad som har hänt under året med mina favoriter från förra året. Om inte imorgon så kommer det nästa vecka.

Our Christmas ham is cooked and breaded and batter for making struvor ( a kind of cookie)is tanding and waiting to be fried.

And I have made small reindeers on my nails. The first hand painted nail art in the challenge actually. And a one that I'm really happy with. I do think Rudolph turned out really cute.

I dare not promise that there will be a post tomorrow, but if I get some time then maybe something comes up. For example, I usually post about what happened to my favorites from last year. If they have been used again or not. If not tomorrow, then sometimes next week.

Depend O2 - 5035 Reindeer Dash

Det blir ett till lack från Depend O2s Rough Glitter kollektion hos mig idag. Jag plockade upp 5035 Reindeer Dash ur min låda.

Det här är som övriga i kollektionen ett sandlack. Reindeer Dash är grått med silverglitter. Det täcker på två lager och som jag skrivit om de andra sandlacken så torkar det inte riktigt lika fort som om man kan lägga på topplack, så var lite försiktiga en stund efter ni målat. Men, jag vill också påpeka att det inte på något sätt är en lång torktid, men man är liksom lite bortskämd.

Jag gillar gråa lack och tycker att det här är riktigt trevligt. Kanske inte det jag skulle välja att ha på julafton, men jag kan absolut tänka mig att plocka fram flaskan igen.

There will be another polish from Depend O2s Rough Glitter collection at the blog today. I picked up 5035 Reindeer Dash out of my box.

This is like the rest of the collection, a textured polish. Reindeer Dash is gray with silver glitter. It covers in two layers and as I wrote about the other polishes in the collection you have to think about the fact that this doesn't dry quite as quickly as if you had a topcoat on, so be a bit careful a while after you painted. But, I would also like to point out that there isn't a slow drying time, but if you like me are used to quick drying topcoat it feels a lot longer. 

I like gray polishes and think this is really nice. Maybe not what I would choose to wear on Christmas Eve, but I can definitely see myself picking up the bottle again.

 

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Tree

Har ni satt in och pyntat granen än? Inte jag, mer än på naglarna :)

Dagens tema är alltså Julgran och jag har lagt China Glaze Jolly Holly som bas, mönstret kommer från ÜberChic Christmas 02. Stämplat har jag gjort med ett stämpellack som jag fått från Born Pretty Store för recension. Jag låter det här även vara en av manikyrerna i The Nail Challenge Collaboratives jultema.

Så låt oss recensera. Som sig bör har lacket en ganska tjock formula. Lukten är något skarpare än på vanliga lack, men inte så att man måste ha fönstret öppet som jag faktiskt upplevt med lack från vissa märken. Det plockade upp mönstret bra och fastnade fint på nageln. Dessutom tycker jag att det har en riktigt fin rödguldsfärg. Jag tycker det här blev en riktigt fin julmanikyr. Gillar det enkla men ändå så tydliga mönstret väldigt mycket.

Have you decorated your Christmas tree yet? Not me yet, just the one on my nails :)

Today's theme is Christmas Tree and I have used China Glaze Holly Jolly as the base, the pattern comes from ÜberChic Christmas 02. I have stamped with a stamping polish that I got from Born Pretty Store for review. I will also let this be one of my contributions to The Nail Challenge Collaboratives Holiday Season theme. 

So let's review. As it should it has a rather thick formula. The smell is slightly sharper than from regular polishes, but not so bad that you need to have the window open as I actually experienced with polishes from certain brands. It picked up the pattern really nicely and the color stamped really well on the nails. Furthermore, I think it has a really nice redgold color. I think this turned out as a really nice Christmas manicure. I like the simple yet so clear pattern very much.

Reader's Choice - Zoya Troy

Vet ni? Det är bara en vecka kvar till julafton! Själv tänkte jag nog börja pynta lite här i huset idag.

Men lite pyntning får ju inte stå i vägen för veckans läsarnas val. Det blev Zoya Troy som vann omröstningen och ganska övertygande dessutom. Troy är ett grått/silvrigt metallic lack som enligt kollektionsbeskrivningen ska täcka på ett lager och det gör det också. Det är en ganska tjock formula på lacket, men jag gillar det så mig gör det absolut ingenting. Torktiden är helt ok och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är riktigt fint, men inte min favorit av de jag testat från Urban Grunge kollektionen. Men det betyder ju absolut inte att lacket inte är en riktig höjdare för det tycker jag nog att det är.

Nästa lördag är det julafton och vi svenskar har ju det som den största dagen på julhelgen och min tanke är att ni ska få hjälpa mig att välja mitt jullack. Jag har plockat fram tre röda favoriter som ni får välja bland.

Can you imagine that it's only a week til' Christmas? I think I will start decorating our house today. 

But before that it's time to present this weeks reader's choice. It was Zoya Troy that won the vote and rather convincingly too. Troy is a gray / silvery metallic paint which, according to the description of the collection should be a onecoater and that is actually true. It has a pretty thick formula but I like that so for me it's a good thing. The drying time is quite ok and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is really nice, but not my favorite of the ones I tested from the Urban Grunge collection. But that doesn't mean that it's not a great polish because it really is. 

Next Saturday is Christmas Eve and for us Swedes that is when we celebrate Christmas and my thought is that you should help me chose my Christmas manicure by voting on one of my favorite red polishes. 

Depend O2 - 5031 Secret Santa

Är ni trötta så här i slutet av veckan? Jag är det och trött på att vänta på besked också. Jag har sökt till en fotolinje som jag gärna vill veta om jag kommer in på eller inte, men väntan börjar kännas jobbig nu.

För att pigga upp läget lite så har jag ett sjukt fint lack på naglarna i alla fall. Depend O2 5031 Secret Santa är ett rött sandlack med en massa glitter i. Jag har återigen valt att visa det här utan topplack eftersom det är tanken att det ska användas så även om man självklart kan lägga topplack över och få det ännu mer galet glittrigt. Det var smidigt att jobba med och täckte på två lager. Torktiden är lite seg, vilket man får räkna med när man inte skyndar på processen med topplack. Så var lite försiktiga en bra stund efter ni har målat så ni inte får tråkiga märken direkt.

Jag kommer förmodligen att lägga på topplack eftersom jag inte är direkt förtjust i känslan av sandlack, men alltså den här färgen och glittret i det är ju bara helt underbar. Maken ska på julbord med sitt jobb ikväll, men jag har liksom julbord för ögonen på naglarna istället.

Are you tired at the end of the week? I am and also tired of waiting for an answer, too. I have applied for a photoschool and I would like to know if have been admitted or not, but the wait begins to feel pretty tough now.

To lighten up the situation a bit, I have a gorgeous polish on my nails. Depend O2 5031 Secret Santa is a red sandpolish with a lot of glitter in. Again, I have chosen to show this without topcoat because that is how it supposed to be worn even if you obviously can add a topcoat over and get even more crazy glitter. It was easy to work with and covered in two layers. The drying time is a bit slow, which should be expected when you don't speed up the process with a topcoat. So be a little cautious for a while after you've painted so you do not get boring marks directly.

I will probably add topcoat because I'm not directly fond of the feeling of textured polishes. But this color is just amazing both with and without a smooth surface. My husband will go on a Christmas dinner with his job tonight, but I think that I have a Christmas dinner for the eyes of the nails instead.

Idag är det Ugly Sweater som är temat alltså fula jultröjor. Men jag måste säga att jag tycker nog att jag misslyckades något med dagens tema, för det här blev ju riktigt bra.

Basen är Depend 7 Day The Nutcracker som jag har stämplat med ett mönster från MoYou London Festive 06 och färgen jag använt är  MoYou London Silver Dust.

Det här med ton i ton blir oftast riktigt bra och så även denna gången tycker jag. Absolut en manikyr som jag kan gå runt med ett tag.

Dagens manikyr får också representera The Nail Challenge Collaborativs Holiday Season tema.

The base is Depend 7 Day The Nutcracker that I have stamped with a pattern from MoYou London Festive 06 and the color I used for the stamping is MoYou London Silver Dust.

This with tone on tone stamping usually turns out really good and I think it did this time too. This is absolutely a manicure that I can walk around with for a while.

Depend 7 Day - The Nutcracker

Två av de snyggaste julkollektionerna i år kommer kanske något oväntat från Depend. Båda deras har många fantastiskt fina lack.

Idag tänkte jag visa ett från Depend 7 Day som heter The Nutcracker. Det här är ett grafitgrått lack med massor av fint, fint pristmatiskt glitter i. Jag har tre lager på bilderna, men jag tror att det räcker med två om man har något kortare naglar än vad jag har just nu. Måste också tillägga att jag verkligen gillar Depends lite bredare borste, riktigt trevlig att jobba med. Torktiden var helt ok och på bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack på.

Det här gick verkligen hem hos mig. Återigen så blir betyget enligt julskalan en stjärna i toppen av granen vilket är ett mycket gott betyg.

Two of the best looking Christmascollections this year comes from, at least in my opinion, Depend. Both of those consists of really amazing polishes.

Today I will show one from Depend 7 Day called The Nutcracker. This is a graphite gray polish with lots of fine, fine pristmatic glitter. I have three layers on in the pictures, but I think that two might be enough if you have shorter nails than what I have right now. I must also add that I really like Depends wider brush it's really nice to work with. The drying time was ok and in the pictures I have as usual topcoat on.

This certainly spoke to me. I like it a lot. Again according to the Christmas scale this is the star in the top of the tree, which is a very good rating.
