United In Pink - Purrfect Pawlish Sweet Macarons

Idag är det fredag och vi får se om jag hinner med att syssla med min senaste hobby.. Bakning. Jag har fortfarande problem med knät så det där med att ut och gå funkar inte, men baka, det går bra.

Jag tycker att det varit lite mesiga rosa färger jag visat senaste dagarna så idag ändrar jag på det genom att visa ett lack från det tyvärr nedlagda Indiemärket Purrfect Pawlish. Sweet Macarons är en ganska skarp rosa med lila flakies i. Superfint och jag bestämde mig för att göra det ännu finare genom att lägga dit en accentnagel med leadlight teknik.

Mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro 08 och jag har målat med Essie Love Sheen och China Glaze Keepin' It Teal.

Today is Friday and we'll see if I have time to deal with my latest hobby .. Baking. I still have problems with my knee so taking walks is not something that I can do right now, but bake, that works perfect. 

I think I have shown a bit wimpy pink colors the last few days, so today I thought I change that by displaying a polish from Purrfect Pawlish that sadly has stopped making polishes. Sweet Macarons is a pretty sharp pink with purple flakies in. It's super pretty and I decided to make it even better by adding an accent nail with leadlight technology.

The pattern comes from MoYou London Pro 08 and I have painted it with Essie Love Sheen and China Glaze Keepin 'It Teal.

United In Pink - Depend O2 488

Det finns många åsikter om mammografins vara eller icke vara och själv anser jag att om det inte finns andra metoder att tillgå i närheten där du bor så är det här bättre än att avstå helt, men det jag absolut vill framhäva är en metod som inte kan ge några skador alls. Nämligen att undersöka sig själv. Jag vet att det är lätt att glömma bort och jag vet också att jag själv många gånger funderat på om man verkligen skulle kunna hitta något på det sättet, men jag har fått bevis på bevis på att det faktiskt går att hitta knölar på det här sättet genom bekantar som faktiskt gjort det. 

Det tar inte lång stund att känna igenom sina bröst och det kan faktiskt rädda ditt liv, så försök att komma ihåg att göra det här då och då. Om man är osäker på hur man ska gå tillväga finns det bra instruktioner att hitta på nätet. 

Det var dagens moralpredikan, nu till dagens rosa lack. Det här är det barbierosa Depend O2 488 från årets sommarkollektion. 

Lite för gulligt rosa för min del, men jag kan tänka mig att det kan vara rätt fint om du är ordentligt solbränd. Jag har lagt två lager av det här och så topplack över. Sen ville jag göra något kul också så jag plockade fram en stampingplatta från Depend och la ett vitt baslack som jag sen stämplade söta hjärtan över med hjälp av det rosa lacket jag har på övriga naglar.

Lite väl gulligt kanske, men ändå ganska söt manikyr. 

There are many opinions about mammographys be or not to be, and for myself, I think that if there are other methods available near where you live you should take that but, this is better than to not taking any kind of scan, but what I absolutely want to highlight is a method that cant' be providing any damage at all. Namely to examine yourself. I know it is easy to forget and I also know that I have many times wondered if you could really find anything that way, but I've got proof of evidence that it's actually possible to find lumps this way by acquaintances who actually have done that.

It does not take long to feel through your breasts and it can actually save your life, so try to remember to do this every now and then. If you are unsure how to go about it, there are good instructions to find online.

That was todays lecture, now to today's pink polish. This is the Barbie Pink Depend O2 488 from this year's summer collection.

A little too cute pink for my likings, but I can imagine it can be quite nice if you have a nice tan. I added two layers of this and topcoat over. Then I wanted to do something fun too so I picked up a stamping plate from Depend and added a white base coat that I stamped sweet hearts on by using the pink polish I have on the other nails.

A bit too cute perhaps, but still a quite pretty manicure.

United In Pink - Turtle Tootsie Polishes Courage

Man kanske kan tycka att nagellack är ytliga saker som inte har någon betydelse och speciellt inte i samband med cancer, men ibland har man fel om det också.

För just lack från Turtle Tootsie Polishes 2016 Breast Cancer Awereness Collection känns viktiga för mig. Courage som jag visar idag är ett av dom. Inte för att lacken i sig har en speciell betydelse, men för att ägaren av TTP Chrissy själv är en överlevare, sen fyra snart fem år. Delar av intäkten från den här kollektionen skänker hon vidare till The National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Tyvärr måste jag säga att jag inte blev så värst förtjust i Courage som är ett ljust, ljust rosa lack med skimmer och fyrkantiga glitter och stjärnglitter i olika rosa nyanser. Det jag tyckte var synd var att glittren var lite svåra att få upp och dränktes i basen, så dom syns inte alls så väl som jag hade velat. Tre lager har jag på och topplack, kanske två hade funkat, men jag är faktiskt tveksam.

Jag satte en liten accentnagel med hjälp av mönster från ÜberChic 4-01 för att lysa upp manikyren lite.

One might think that nailpolish is superficial thing that have no meaning and especially not related to cancer, but sometimes that is wrong.

Because polishes from Turtle Tootsie Polishes 2016 Breast Cancer Awereness Collection feels important to me. Courage that I show today is one of them. Not that the polish itself has a special meaning, but because the owner of TTP Chrissy herself is a survivor since four almost five years. Part of the income from this collection will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation from her. 

Unfortunately I must say that I was not that very fond of Courage which is a bright, bright pink polish with shimmer and square glitter and starglitter in various shades of pink. What I thought was a shame was that the glitter was a bit difficult to get up and kind of drowned in the base, so they are not that visible as I had wanted. I have three layers  and topcoat on, maybe two would have worked, but I'm actually not sure.

I did a little accent nail using patterns from Uber Chic 4-01 to brighten up the manicure a little.

United In Pink - Pink Roses

Andra dagen på United In Pink veckan. Visste ni att enligt statistik från år 2013 (hittade ingen nyare) som jag läste på BRO:s hemsida får ca 21 kvinnor varje dag besked att dom har bröstcancer här i Sverige det är nästan en kvinna varje timme på dygnet. 63% av dom är över 60 år, men av de resterande procenten är 3,8% under 40. Ganska skrämmande siffror tycker jag.

Jag tänker inte babbla så mycket mer om siffror eller förmana på ett eller annat sätt vad du bör göra, för var och en har sitt eget ansvar, men jag kan nog garantera att det inte är många som läser det här inlägget som inte på ett eller annat sätt är berörda av sjukdomen.

Idag valde jag att piffa till gårdagens OPI Apartment for Two med ett mönster från ÜberChic 5-01 stämplat med Depends vita stämpellack.

United In Pink - OPI Apartment for Two

Välkomna till första dagen av årets United In Pink vecka. Vid det här laget tror jag att de flesta av er vet att syftet med veckan är att ge lite uppmärksamhet åt att Oktober är en månad då Bröstcancer ges lite extra utrymme. 

Jag tänker direkt skriva att det här inte är en vecka för att uppmärksamma rosa bandet kampanjen eller alla rosa grejer som säljs i affärerna, för inget av det går direkt till bröstcancerforskning utan till cancerfonden vilket i sig är behjärtansvärt, men jag tycker att det är falsk marknadsföring när hela rosa bandet kampanjen från början var till för enbart bröstcancer. Vill ni skänka pengar så gör det istället direkt till BRO - Bröstcancerföreningarnas Riksorganistation och Bröstcancerfonden. Jag har lånat en text direkt från deras hemsida.

De gåvor som kommer till fonden går till viktig klinisk forskning, information och stöd till bröstcancerdrabbade och deras familjer:
75 % av nettobehållningen går till klinisk patientnära bröstcancerforskning 
25 % till verksamhetsfonden (information t.ex. hemsidor och broschyrer samt utbildning av stödpersoner), stipendier till vårdpersonal och medlemmar för vidareutbildning samt bidrag till rehabilitering och rekreation till medlemmar.

Nu till dagens lack. Det här är ett lack från OPIs kommande julkollektion kallad Breakfast at Tiffany's. Kanske inte direkt en färg som jag förknippar med julkollektioner, men väldigt härlig och ganska likt ett av mina andra favoriter från OPI nämligen Girls Love Ponies. 

Det här är ett skarpt rosa krämlack, med lite blå ton i sig. Fantastiskt trevligt att jobba med och även om jag har två lager och topplack på bilderna är jag rätt säker på att man kan klara sig med ett lager. 

Jag gillar den här färgen jättemycket. Det är min absoluta favoritton av rosa lack. Lacken kommer finnas i butik i Sverige i slutet av Oktober. 

Welcome to the first day of this year's United In Pink Week. By now I think most of you know that the purpose of the week is to give a little attention to the fact that October is the breastcacer awarness month.

In Sweden there are two different pink ribbons sold, plus all the things that is pink at the moment in the grocery store and I really want to ask you not to buy either the pink ribbon with a pattern on or all the things in the stores. Because non of the profits from that goes directly to research of breastcancer. Sure it goes to the Cancerfonden that also has a very important purpose, but I do think this is a bit of false marketing since a lot of people think the money for this campaign is marked to breastcacer. Instead you could donate money directly to BRO which is the Swedish Breast Cancer Association.  I have borrowed a text directly from their website.

The gifts that come to the fund goes to important clinical research, information and support to breast cancer sufferers and their families:
75% of the netto income goes to clinical, research close to breast cancer patients.
25% to fund operations (information such as websites and brochures, and training of support staff), scolarships to health professionals and members for education and grants for rehabilitation and recreation for members.

Now to today's polish. This is a polisb from OPIs forthcoming Christmas collection called Breakfast at Tiffany's. Maybe not directly a color I associate with Christmas collections, but very lovely and quite similar to one of my other favorites from OPI namely Girls Love Ponies.

This is a sharp pink cream polish, with a little blue tone. Amazing to work with and although I have two coats and top coat in the pictures, I'm pretty sure that you can get away with only one coat.


I like this color very much. It's my absolute favorite tone of pink. The collection will be in stores in Sweden in late October.

Nail Art Sunday 16/10

Jösses så fort veckorna går! Nu är det söndag igen och jag skrev igår att läsarnas val är mitt favoritinlägg, men tätt därefter kommer det här.

Denna söndagen har vi inget tema då jag hellre ville att vi har rosa tema nästa söndag då den sammanfaller med United In Pink veckan.

Men som ni vet så är jag ju också med i The Nail Challenge Collaborative så jag försöker kombinera de här två grupperna och alltså har jag gjort en manikyr under temat Pink Autumn.

Höst för mig är svamp i skogen, fallande löv och djur som betar på åkrarna utanför huset och jag tycker att jag fick med allihopa de här elementen i dagens manikyr.

The weeks are just flying by! It's Sunday again and I wrote yesterday that readers' choice is my favorite posts, but closely followed by this.

This Sunday there is no theme because I thought it was better to save that to next Sunday that is part of the United In Pink week. 

But as you know, I'm also in The Nail Challenge Collaborative so I try to combine these two groups and therefore I have done a manicure on the theme Pink Autumn.

Fall for me are mushrooms in the woods, falling leaves and animals grazing on the fields outside the house and I think I got them all covered in today's manicure.

Reader's Choice - Dance Legend Rich Black 920 The Broadway

Dags för veckans höjdpunkt igen. I alla fall tycker jag att läsarnas val är en favorit.

Den här veckan har jag busat lite, för det blev nämligen jämt mellan två lack, men jag bestämde mig för att visa det som jag haft stående längst och då blev det Rich Black 920 The Broadway som jag fick i min adventskalender.

Lacket består av en svart jellybas fylld med glitter i olika storlekar. Det finns en mängd färger bl.a silver, rött, blått och grönt. Jag valde att inte prova att få det här täckande på egen hand utan har lagt två lager över ett svart krämlack. Glittret spred ut sig väldigt lätt och torktiden var helt ok. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag är lite svag för den här typen av svarta lack, även om jag ofta drar mig lite för att använda dom eftersom jag inte uppskattar borttagningen av glitter, men jag måste säga att det här är riktigt fint. Kul att det är så många olika färger på glittret.

Till nästa vecka blir det rosa lack att välja på. För ni har väl inte glömt att United In Pink veckan börjar på måndag. Nu kanske inte ni tycker dom är rosa som ni får rösta på, men dom står bland mina rosa lack och magenta tycker jag räknas in.

Time for the highlight of the week again. In my opinion any way. I love readers' choice it's my favorite.

This week I have been a little rowdy. Because two of the polishes got the same amount of votes, but I decided to show the one that I've had the longest of the two. And that is why Dance Legend Rich Black 920 The Broadway is in this post today. I got that in Advent calendar.

The polish consists of a black jellybase filled with glitter in various sizes. There are a variety of colors, among others silver, red, blue and green. I chose not to try to get this to cover on it's own but instead layer it over a black creme. I have two layers of The Broadway and the glitter spread out very easy and the drying time was ok. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I'm a little weak for this kind of black polishes, though I often tend to let these polishes stand untested because I don't appreciate the removal of glitter, but I must say that this is really nice. Glad there are so many different colors of glitter.

For the next week there will be pink polishes to vote from. I hope you haven't forgotten that the United In Pink Week starts on Monday. Now you may not think that these are pink that you can vote for, but they are in my pink polish drawer and I think magenta counts.

Idag vill jag visa lite mer vattendekaler från Saijtam.se, den här manikyren blev jag inspirerad av Ina på My Nailpolish Online att göra. Det är dessutom hon som delvis står bakom Saijtam som dekalerna kommer ifrån.

Nu så här i efterhand såg jag att hon lagt dom på en gradient, men jag valde att lägga OPI It's In the Clouds som bas. Ett lite offwhite lack. Dekalerna lossnade väldigt lätt från skyddspappret och skrynklade inte ihop sig när man hanterade dom blöta vilket händer ibland annars.

Manikyren får mig att tänka på sommaren. Rätt söt tycker jag i alla fall.

Today I want to show a little more water decals from Saijtam.se, this manicure was inspired by one that Ina at My Nailpolish Online did. Moreover, she is one of the owners of Saijtam as the decals come from.

Now, in retrospect, I saw that she had put them over gradient, but I chose to use OPI It's in the clouds as a base. A little off-white polish. The decals came off very easily from the protective paper and didn't crumble when you handled them wet which sometimes happens.

This manicure makes me think of summer. Pretty sweet, don't you think.

OPI - Breakfast at Tiffany's

Årets julkollektion från OPI heter Breakfast at Tiffany's och är en hyllning till Audrey Hepburn och filmen Breakfast at Tiffany´s som firar 55 år i år.

Kollektionen kommer att släppas i OPIs 3 olika lacksystem, men med olika många lack i varje. Till Infinite Shine systemet kommer det att släppas 6 lack, bland dom "vanliga" lacken blir det 12 stycken och till GelColor 17 färger.

Jag har inga flaskbilder att visa er ännu, men förhoppningsvis så dyker några av dom upp hos mig inom kort. Så länge vill jag ändå visa pressbilderna, för det finns en del riktigt fina här. Det är en julkollektion och en av dom grejer OPI gör bäst är röda lack, så det får vi vår beskärda mängd av, men även en del överraskande färger.

Jag tänkte visa de färger som kommer av vanliga lacken här.

This year's Christmas collection from OPI is called Breakfast at Tiffany's and is a tribute to Audrey Hepburn and the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's that is celebrating 55 years this year.

The collection will be released in OPIs 3 different polish systems, but with different numbers of polishes in each. Ther will be 6 colors for the Infinite Shine system, 12 to the "regular" system 17 to the GelColor system.

I have no bottle pictures to show you yet, but hopefully it will get a few of them shortly. Until that I still wanted to show you the press photos, because there are some really nice once here. It's a Christmas collection and one of the things OPI makes best is red polishes, so there is a fair amount of that, but also some surprising colors.

CND Creative Play - Happy Holly Day & Stellarbration

I September släppte CND en ny linje med lack som dom kallar för Creative Play. Det är ett traditionellt lacksystem med underlack, färg och topplack.

Till det här systemet släpps kollektionen Celebration som består av 8 olika lack. Jag har två stycken att visa er idag.

Men först lite om underlacket. När jag tittar på flaskan får jag en känsla av att det kan vara en ridge filler, det står inte att det är det, men jag tyckte det funkade riktigt bra på mina naglar. Torktiden var helt ok. Det här kommer jag att använda flera gånger helt säkert.

Sen har vi då själva färgen som i det här fallet består av det gröna Happy Holly Day, ett vanligt grönt krämlack, men med väldigt trevliga egenskaper. Två lager har jag på bilderna. Riktigt smidigt att jobba med. Normal torktid, men inte supersnabb.

Och sen kommer vi till det roliga! I kollektionen finns effektlacket Stellarbration som består av en klar bas med glitter i både silver och guld, plus silverstjärnor. Jag gillar speciellt att det är blandat mellan silver och guld. Glittret spred ut sig smidigt på naglarna och man behövde inte jobba för att få upp stjärnorna.

Till sist då topplacket. Inte så mycket att säga om det faktiskt. Bra tjocklek, men inte snabbtorkande.

Jag gillar verkligen den gröna färgen och Stellarbration lär bli mycket använt framåt jul. Så förutom att det inte var ett snabbtorkande överlack så är jag väldigt nöjd med lacken och manikyren i sin helhet.

CND released a new line of polishsystem this September that they call Creative Play. It's a traditional polish system with base coat, color and top coat.

For this system they released the collection Celebration which consists of eight different polishes. I have two of them to show you today.

But first, a little about the base coat. When I look at the bottle, I get a feeling that this might be a ridge filler, it does not say that it is, but I thought it worked really well on my nails. The drying time was ok. I will use this several times for sure.

Then we have the color itself, which in this case consists of the green Happy Holly Day, a common green creme polish, but with very nice qualities. I have two layers in the pictures. Really easy to work with. Normal drying time, but not super fast.

And then we come to the fun! The collection includes the effect polish Stellarbration consisting of a clear base with glitter in both silver and gold, plus silver stars. I especially like that it is mixed between silver and gold. The glitter spread out smoothly on the nails and you did not have to work to get up the stars.

Finally then the topcoat. Not much to say about it actually. Good formula, but not fast drying.

I really like the green color and Stellarbration is likely to be used a lot around Christmas. So apart from that it's not a fast-drying top coat, I'm very happy with the polishes and manicure in its entirety.

Darling Diva Polish - Groped Under the Mistletoe

Idag ska jag börja träna mitt knä på gym. Känns lite smått töntigt att åka in 2 mil till stan för en sisådär 20-30 minuters träning, men vad gör man inte för att få ordning på saker och ting.

Här på bloggen visar jag ett fantastiskt fint lack som kommer från förra årets julkollektion från Darling Diva Polish. Är det nu jag ska erkänna att jag faktiskt längtar lite till jul redan...

I alla fall så är det här ett vinrött lack, det finns prismatiskt glitter i det och lite skimmer också skulle jag nog vilja säga. Inget problem alls med applikationen. Två lager räcker och jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Fantastiskt vackert lack. Darling Diva har kommit lite i skymundan bland alla Indielack, vilket är synd för det är ett riktigt bra märke och ett av dom märkena som det inte stormat om på något sätt. Vad jag vet så har det inte heller varit lack som tappat färg. Och om jag läste rätt så är det en kollektion inspirerad av Pokémon Go på G. Gissa vem som är sugen på den.

Today I will start training my knee at the gym. Feels a little bit dorky to drive for 20 kilometers into town for a so-so 20-30 minutes of exercise, but the things you do to get the back on track.

Here on the blog I show a fantastic polish that comes from last year's Christmas collection from Darling Diva Polish. Is it now that I should admit that I actually crave a bit for Christmas already ...

In any case, this is a burgundy polish with prismatic glitter in it and a little shimmer as well. No problem at all with the application. Two layers is enough and I have a topcoat over it in the pictures.

Fantastic beautiful polish. Darling Diva has been somewhat overshadowed among all Indie makers lately, which is a shame because it's a really good brand and one of those brands that as far as I know have had no drama in any way. And I can't remember hearing anything about fading polishes either. And if I have read it right, they have a collection inspired by Pokemon Go coming soon. Guess who's hungry for it.

 

Depend - 493

Måndag och ganska grått utanför fönsterna, men vad gör väl det. Själv ska jag till sjukgymnasten och försöka få ordning på mitt bråkande knä.

Dagens lack är från Depends höstkollektion Glam Rock, en kollektion med många fina lack enligt mig. 493 är ett brunt skimmerlack, nästan lite åt kopparhållet kan man tycka. Egenskaperna är väldigt bra och två lager räcker. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag gillar det här lacket, det känns lyxigt på något sätt och jag kan inte för mitt liv förklara varför. Ingen i min resterande familj tyckte det var fint, men det struntar ju jag blankt i.

Monday and quite gray weather outside the windows, but who cares. I'm going to the physiotherapist and try to get my bickering knee to work again. 

Today's polish is from Depends autumn collection Glam Rock, a collection with many very nice polishes if you ask me. 493 is a brown shimmer, almost leaning towards copper. The formula is very good and two layers is enough. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I like this polish, it feels luxurious in some way and I can't really explain why. No one in the rest of my family liked it, but I will do as I usually do. Ignore them and their bad taste.

Jag är jättetrött, men så himla nöjd med gårdagen. 80's Rock kommer jag att leva på länge, förutom tanten som inte uppskattade att vi stod upp och dansade med lite grann ;)

Idag är det återigen Nail Art Sunday, men inte med något speciellt tema så jag gör som vanligt och bakar ihop det med The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Där är ju temat Pink Autumn och jag som redan hade ett bra lila lack på naglarna funderade givetvis på hur jag skulle kunna få till det så att det funkade med temat.

Ganska enkelt faktiskt. En av de finaste blommorna så här på hösten tycker jag är Aster. Dom håller länge och har fina färger, bl.a lila.

Jag hittade ett mönster som man med lite fantasi kan likna med Aster på BP- L024 och har sen för att få in lite rosa stämplat med China Glaze Emotion. För att piffa till det lite extra så satte jag dit lite stenar också. Today is Nail Art Sunday, but not with any particular theme so I did as I do most of the Sundays and combine it with The Nail Challenge Collaborative. In that group the theme is Pink Autumn and I already had a good purple polish on my nails so I thought hard of what I could do to make something with that polish to make it fit in to the theme.

Pretty simple actually. One of the finest flowers this time of year is in my mind Aster. They are long lasting and has nice colors, purple, among others.

I found a pattern  that you could with little imagination compare with Aster on BP-L024 and then to bring in a little pink to fit the theme I stamped with China Glaze Emotion. To spice it up a little extra I did put some rhinestones from Born Pretty Store on it as well. The stones are slightly protruding for me to feel really comfortable with them, but otherwise I like the manicure really much.
