Lack = Polish in Swedish and we all know what Lucky means. So Lacky Corner is a play with words.
Idag är vi på bokstaven C och jag tänker visa er ett lack som jag inte för mitt liv kan komma ihåg när det kom med i min samling, men jag tror att jag fick det här ihop med några andra lack som jag köpte på Tradera. Och det är i alla fall några år sedan det kom hem till mig.
Lacket är Chanel 337 Noir Ceramic och det får mig att tänka på fina Maria på Marias Nail Art And Polish Blog som är en stor samlare av Chanel lack. Jag har två det här och Taboo.
Noir Ceramic fick jag hälla lite thinner i för det hade tjocknat till sig en del, men efter det så var det hur smidigt som helst att lacka med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.
Färgen är svart med mycket silverskimmer i det ser nästan lite grått ut, men så där mörkt så man nästan inte vet om det är svart eller grått. Riktigt tjusigt må jag säga. Och ja, det här har jag haft stående så länge. Skäms på mig!
Today we have come to the letter C and I want to show you a polish which I can't remember, no matter how hard I try, when it came into my collection. But I think I got this together with some other polishes I bought on Tradera (eBay). And it's in any case a few years ago now. The polish is Chanel 337 Noir Ceramic and it makes me think of the sweet Maria at Marias Nail Art And Polish Blog which is a big collector of Chanel polishes. I have two this and Taboo. Before I used Noir Ceramic I had to pour a little thinner in it because it has thickende up a great deal standing in my drawer. But after that it was very smooth to paint with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too. The color is black with much silver shimmer in. It almost looks a little gray, but you know so dark that you almost can't tell if it's black or gray. Really fancy I must say. And yes, I know I have had this in my untested drawer for years. Shame on me!
Då var det dags att visa Januari månads inköp. En rätt så lugn månad kan jag nog tycka, men lite godingar har jag ändå lyckats införskaffa.
Bland annat det där lacket som alla hade så stora förväntningar på, men många blev grymt besvikna på. Jo, jag tänker på Essies remake av Starry Starry Night.

It's time to show you my January haul. A pretty calm month, but there has been some new editions to my collection. Among the newest are the polish that we all had so high expectiations on and so many of us became so disappointed. Tänka sig att det redan är lördag igen! Och jag får visa er ett helt underbart lack och detta tack vare att ni varit inne och röstat. Jag trodde nog faktiskt att Lilypad Lacquer Sandy Claw skulle vinna, men så blev det inte. Långt ifrån faktiskt.
För ni röstade fram Superficially Colorful Lacquer Ghouls Night Out och jag kan ju inte annat än säga att ni har bra smak.
Det här är ett mossgrönt lack med mycket gult i och så en väldigt fin holo också. Det täcker på två lager, torkar fort och som vanligt så är det topplack över på bilderna.
Alltså det här är min grej helt klart. Så himla härlig nyans och inte helt vanlig heller tycker jag i alla fall. Men ni som följer mig sen tidigare vet väl redan att jag lätt faller för gröna lack med guldskiftningar i alla dess former :)

I can't believe that it's already Saturday again! And I will show you a truly wonderful polish and this of course because you have voted for it. I was convinced that Lilypad Lacquer Sandy Claw would win, but that did not happen. It wasn't even close actually. The one you voted for is Superficially Colorful Lacquer Ghouls Night Out and I must say that you my readers have very good taste. This is a moss green polish with very much yellow in it and also a very nice holo. It covers in two coats, dries fast and as usual i have topcoat on in the pictures. So this is definitly my kind of polish. So very lovely shade and not that common either, at least that is what I think, anyway. But you who follow me since before already knows that I easily fall for green polishes with gold nuances in all it's forms :) The Random Number Generator has been used again. Hope you find something that you want to vote for.
Att få ha ett känt konstverk på naglarna är ju inte fel. I det här fallet i form av Nail Wraps från Lady Queen föreställande Van Goghs Starry Night.
Jag tog faktiskt lite fel när jag tyckte att jag skulle recensera just dom här. För jag hade fått för mig att det var vattendekaler och inte wraps. Dekaler använder jag då och då, men wraps känns inte alls som något som passar mig.
Fast om jag inte var den jag är som ständigt och jämt målar naglarna utan bara ville kunna fixa till naglarna snabbt och enkelt så skulle jag säkert tycka att det här är en toppenprodukt.
Av någon anledning är det 14 stycken wraps i den här förpackningen. Fråga mig inte varför.. Dom släppte lätt från underlaget och var lätta att placera. Jag tyckte först att dom såg väldigt breda ut, men det var inte alls farligt. Tyckte dom passade riktigt bra på bredden. Däremot var dom väldigt långa så även om du har rejält långa naglar funkar dom här. På mig blev det dock nästan en halv centimeter som skulle bort. Dock är det enkelt att smälta bort överflödet med hjälp av aceton på en bomullstops.
Allt som allt så gillar jag mönstret och enkelheten i att använda produkten. Men som sa jag sa är det inte riktigt något för mig.

Sent out for review. To have a famous painting on your nails is a good thing. In this case in the form of Nail Wraps from Lady Queen looking like Van Goghs Starry Night. I actually thought I had asked to review some waterdecals with this pattern, but it turned out to be nailwraos. I like using decals even if it happens less than I want to. But wraps does not feel like something that suits me. Though if I wasn't a person who paints the nails all the time but one who just wanted to be able to fix the nails quickly and easily I would certainly think that this was a top product. For some reason, there are 14 wraps in this package. Don't ask me why .. They were easy to lift of the base and were easy to place. I thought they looked very wide, but once on the nails it wasn't bad at all. They fit really well in width. In contrast, they are very long so even if you have substantial long fingernails they would probably work. For me it became almost a half centimeters that I needed to remove. However, it's easy to melt away the excess with the help of acetone on a cotton swab. All in all, I like the design and simplicity of the product. But as I said, it's not really anything for me. Bokstaven B representeras av By K Blue Lagoon alltså B både i märke och namn på lack. Återigen ett märke som jag inte provat tidigare. Och återigen ett lack som inte stått hur länge som helst i lådan, men sen i höstas eller så.
Blue Lagoon är ett duochrome glassfleck lack skulle jag nog säga. Dock syns skiftningarna mer i flaskan än på naglarna i mitt tycke. Det är ganska skirt så tre lager är nödvändigt. Torktiden är helt ok. På bilderna har jag topplack på.
Själva färgen är en härligt djup blå färg och skiftningarna går mot lila. Gillar man sjöjungfruliknande lack så gillar man det här och jag tycker att det är riktigt fint. Den blå färgen är något djupare blå i verkligheten än på mina bilder.
The letter B is represented by By K Blue Lagoon that has B in both the brand name and polishname. Again, a brand that I have not tried before. And again a polish that has not stood forever in the drawer, but since last autumn or so. Blue Lagoon is a duochrome glass fleck polish, I would probably say. However the shiftings are more visible in the bottle than on the nails in my opinion. It's pretty sheer and three layers are necessary. The drying time is quite ok. In the pictures I have topcoat on. The color on this is a beautiful deep blue color and the shifts is towards purple. If you like polishes that are mermaid-like you would definitly like this one and I think it's really nice. The color is a bit deeper blue in reality than in my pictures.
Egentligen hade jag tänkt att ha det här som mitt lack på bokstaven A i ABC Challenge, men när jag satt och lackade med det kom jag på att det här är ju egentligen inte otestat. A-England Jane Eyre är lacket jag pratar om. Den här flaskan är förvisso det, men jag har ägt lacket innan. I samma veva som den här kollektionen kom ut köpte jag det här och något till har jag för mig, men blev grymt besviken över hur lite det lila sken igenom så jag sålde det.
Nu fick jag en ny flaska i min julkalender och bestämde mig för att testa det igen.
Lacket är perfekt att måla med. Täcker på 1-2 lager. På bilderna ser ni det med topplack och torktiden är bra.
Hur blir omdömet den här gången då? Jo, det är fortfarande lite tråkigt att det lila drunknar något lite för mycket i den svarta basen, men jag gillar det ändå på något sätt för det är svart, men ändå lila. Och jag trivs ju i nästan svarta lack. Så den här gången behåller jag flaskan.
Actually, I had planned to have this as my polish for the letter A in the ABC Challenge, but when I sat down and painted with it, I realized that this is not actually untested. A England's Jane Eyre is the polish I'm talking about. This bottle is certainly brand new, but I have owned the polish before. Around the same time as this collection came out I bought this and I think some other from the collection, but was cruelly disappointed at how little the purple shine through so I sold it. I got a new bottle in my advent calendar and decided to try it again. The polish is perfect to paint with. Covers in 1-2 layers. In the pictures you can see it with top coat on and the drying time is good. So how do I feel about it this time? Well, it's still a little sad that the purple drowns a little too much in the black base, but I like it. You it's black but still purple. And I enjoy wearing almost black polishes. So this time I will keep the bottle.
Häromdagen fick jag hem en sån där Clear Jelly stamper som det varit mycket prat om bland nagelbloggare och på Facebook. Dock en billig variant, men självklart ville jag ju testa den på en gång.
Och för det första måste jag säga att för att bara kosta ca 15 kronor så är jag riktigt imponerad. Man får ha lite annan teknik än med vissa andra stämplar. Jag upplevde att jag fick trycka något hårdare för att få upp mönstret, men det krävdes inte många försök förrän det blev riktigt bra resultat.
Kontentan av detta är att jag absolut kommer använda den här till mönster som inte ska täcka hela nageln.

The other day, my mailman brought me one of those Clear Jelly stamper that there has been much talk about among blogs and on Facebook. However, a cheap variant, but of course I wanted the test it at once. And I must say that for costing only 1,8 USD or something like that I am really impressed. One must have a little different technique than with some other stamps. I felt that I had to push a bit harder to get the pattern to come up, but it didn't require many attempts before I got really good results. I'm pretty sure that I will use this a lot for patterns that aren't supposed to cover the whole nail. The pattern I used for testing is from Uberchic 6-02 and I have stamped with MoYou London Black Knight over Literary Lacquers More Like Fire Than Light.
Då var det återigen dags att gör något åt högen med otestade lack! Och detta med hjälp av ett ABC Challenge. Utmaningen går ut på att använda sina otestade lack i bokstavsordning. Det kan vara märket på lacket eller namnet på lacket som börjar på aktuell bokstav. Och har man inte något av det så är det rätt troligt att man kanske har ett lack som bara är betecknat med en siffra och då tar man det.
Vi börjar förstås på bokstaven A och jag har plockat fram ett lack som nog inte är äldst av dom på A som står i lådan, men ändå har stått i ett antal månader.
Det här är Arcane Lacquer Tonks ett lack som var med i en Harry Potter inspirerad box jag köpte någon gång förra året. Tonks är även namnet på en av mina Undulater så jag kände att det här måste ju jag ha. Det är mitt första lack från det här märket och mitt första intryck är mycket positivt.
Både formula och pensel var riktigt bra. Två lager täcker och på bilderna har jag topplack på.
Färgen är en ganska rödtonad lila, med en hel del prismatiskt glitter i. Inte holo, men det glittrar alldeles ljuvligt om det. När jag tittar på bilderna så tror jag dessutom det finns lite lila och rött glitter också i.
Jag tycker det här är riktigt fint och är väldigt glad att jag har det i min samling speciellt med tanke på att det är ett LE lack som inte går att få tag på längre.
Nu ser jag fram emot att se vad det blir för mer lack på A som övriga deltagare kommer visa.
So it's time to do something about the pile with untested polishes again! And this with the help of an ABC Challenge. The challenge is to use your untested polishes in alphabetical order. It may be the brand on the polish or the name of the polish that begin on the letter of the day. And if you have none of these you probably have one or two makred only with a number on them. That is also ok to use. We begin of course with the letter A and I have picked a polish that probably is not the oldest untested of the once I have on the letter A, but has been among them for a number of months. This is Arcane Lacquer Tonks a polish that was in a Harry Potter-inspired box I bought sometime last year. Tonks is also the name of one of my Budgies so I felt that this was a must have for me. It's my first polish from this brand and my first impression is very positive. Both the formula and brush were really good. Two coats is enough and in the pictures I have a topcoat on. The color is a rather reddish purple, with a lot of prismatic glitter. Not holo, but it's rather sparkly anyway. And looking at the pictures makes me think that there is some red and purple glitter in it as well. I think this is really nice and is very glad that I have it in my collection especially considering that it's an LE polish that you can't get anymore. I'm looking forward to see what the other participants will show on this letter.

Jag skrev ju förra gången att jag ville göra olika typer av nail art för det här temat och inte bara stamping. Det gick sådär med den intentionen för det här blir nr 3 som är med stamping. Men jag satte i alla fall dit ett litet extra hjärta så det inte blev bara stamping. Jag hade jättemycket bra idéer på vad jag ville göra, men tiden räckte inte riktigt till.
I alla fall så är det Glitter Gal Off Your Rocker som är basen, jag har sen tagit ett mönster frön Überchic 6-01 och stämplat det med El Corazón 07 lilac. Plus då som sagt ett litet hjärta som jag hittade bland mina nail art grejer.
Den här manikyren hade ju passat hur bra som helst på Alla Hjärtans Dag, men nu visar jag den för er idag istället för vilken dag behöver man inte lite kärlek i livet?
Alltså jag är nöjd med den här manikyren, men den är nästan lite för gullig för mig så den lär inte sitta länge på naglarna.
Today is the last day of January and I give you manicure number 4 in our purple theme. I wrote last time that I wanted to do different types of nail art for this theme and not just stamping. Well it didn't go quite as planned with that. Because this is manicure number 3 of 4 that is with stamping. But I did put a heart in it as well. I had a lot great ideas on what I wanted to do, but in the end I didn't have the time for it. In all cases I have Glitter Gal Off Your Rocker as the base, The pattern comes from Uberchic 6-01 and is stamped with El Corazón 07 lilac. Plus then as I said a little heart that I found in my nail art stuff. This manicure would fit just fine on Valentine's Day, but I'm showing it today. Who doesn't need a little extra love all the other days as well? So I'm happy with this manicure, but it's almost too cute for me so it probably wont stay long on my nails.
Jag sitter här och funderar på hur jag ska inleda dagens inlägg. För den här veckan har varit en av de allra värsta i mitt liv. Det här är en nagelblogg som jag då och då skriver lite personligt i och just idag känner jag att jag vill dela med mig lite av mina känslor.
Jag vet dock inte hur, för hur ska man förklara hur man känner inför det faktum att jag aldrig mer kommer få sitta och höra dina helt underbara diskussioner om allt och ingenting. Att aldrig mer få höra ditt skratt eller få ta del av alla dina tankar och funderingar. Att inse att det inte kommer några nya texter som du knåpat ihop så underfundigt. Att aldrig mer få spela Worms eller Monopol och skratta tillsammans.
Att försöka förstå det här känns helt omöjligt. Ändå vet jag att det är så. Att du inte blev mer än 22 år och att du lämnat din familj, dina vänner och bekanta med en sorg och saknad som inte går att beskriva. Du lämnar efter dig ett tomrum som med tiden kommer fyllas av fina minnen, men just nu är det ett svart hål av sorg. Älskade vän, jag hoppas du funnit den frid du så väl var värd.
Om det känns konstigt att gå över till fullkomligt menlösa saker som nagellack efter det där. Ja, men samtidigt är det ju i mångt och mycket nagellack som är ett av mina glädjeämnen i livet och just nu behöver jag det mer än annars så därför blir det ändå lite lackprat också.

I'm thinking on how I should begin today's post. Because this week has been one of the worst in my life. I know this is a nail blogg but I occasionally write things that are more personal and today is one of those times. I don't know how,to write though. Because how do you explain how you feel about the fact that I will never get to sit and hear your absolutely wonderful discussions about everything and nothing again. Never hear your laugh or take part of all your thoughts and musings. To realize that there wont be any new texts that you have written down so well and with so much subliminal meanings in them. We will never again play Worms or Monopoly and laugh together. Trying to understand this feels quite impossible. Yet I know that it's true. You were not more than 22 years and you left your family, your friends and acquaintances with a sorrow that can't be described. You leave behind a big empty space that over time will be filled with great memories, but right now it's a black hole of sorrow. My beloved friend, I hope you have found the peace in your soul that you so well deserved. If it feels weird to go over to the perfectly silly things like nail polish after that. Yes, but at the same time it's pretty much nail polish that is one of my joys in life, and right now I need it more than ever, so yes I will give you a short text about todays polish. This weeks Readers' Choice is Literary Lacquers More Like Fire Than Light a polish that I saw at Nailtastic and just had to buy. And the rest of the story is the usual one.. Yes, it has been standing a long time in my drawer. A bit more sheer than I expexted so I have three layers in the picuters and topcoat. The drying time was good. This is very nice, but when I look at swatches on the Internet it seems like they are a bit more bright than mine is. My guess is that my bottle may have faded a bit in the drawer. Well that does not mean that I don't like this because I think this is really nice anyway. This weeks three polishes has been chosen with the help of random.org.
Lite färgglatt så här på fredagen är väl inte fel. Dagens lack är ett av dom min man och son valde ut till mig i min adventskalender. Ett lack som jag kanske kunde valt ut själv också.
Det här är Glitter Gal Off Your Rocker ett ganska skarpt rosa krämlack. Färgmässigt så gillar jag att det är lite skarpare i tonen. Den här typen av rosa är helt ok och jag tycker bättre om det här än t.ex China Glaze Don't Mesa With My Heart som jag visade för ett tag sedan just av den anledningen till att det är lite mer klös i detta.
Däremot så blev jag lite förvånad över att det blev så pass strimmigt när man målade med det som det blev. Jag insåg efter jag lagt på topplacket att jag nog skulle tagit ett lager till. På bilderna är det två + topplack. Det var nästan lite jellykänsla på det.
Torktiden var helt ok, men som sagt det var inte den bästa formulan och eftersom färgen inte på något sätt är unik så tror jag det finns bättre varianter där ute.
Lets kick this Friday of with some color. Today's polish is one of those my husband and son chose for me in my Advent calendar. A polish that I could maybe have selected for myself as well. This is Glitter Gal Off Your Rocker a quite sharp pink cream polish. Color wise, I like the fact that it is a little sharper in tone. This type of pink is quite ok and I do like this better than China Glaze Don't Mesa With My Heart that I showed some time ago precisely for the reason that it's a little more oumph in this. However, I was a little surprised that it became pretty streaky when I painted with it. I realized after I had put on my topcoat that I probably should have taken another layer. In the pictures there are two + topcoat. It was almost a little jelly feeling to it. The drying time was ok, but as I said it was not the best formula and because the color isn't in any way unique I think there are better versions out there.
