5 Polishes 14 Manicures - The last one, the one with the arrows!

Då har mitt lilla tema kommit till sista manikyren och jag kan säga så här: Det finns inte ett av dom här lacken som jag inte kan tänka mig att använda igen. Det var inte heller slut på idéer på mer manikyrer med dom här lacken.

Som ni ser av dagens inlägg så blev det inte en enda manikyr med stamping. Det skyller jag på Angelica :) Varför då? Jo, för idag är det ju även Nailart Sunday och temat var Spets. Det kan ju tolkas lite hur man vill och först så tänkte jag faktiskt göra ett spetsmönster med hjälp av stamping, men sen ändrade jag mig för om jag skulle ha någon stamping i någon av manikyrerna i det här temat så skulle det varit med mina Depend brickor bara för att återigen visa att det går att få tag på grejer i vanliga affärer. Själv hittade jag ett jätteställ med nailart grejer på Ica Kvantum i Växjö.

Tillbaka till ämnet, det fanns inga passande mönster på dom brickorna, så hjärncellerna fick jobba lite och vips så konstaterade jag att pilar har ju spetsar och pilar finns i många olika färger så jag får avsluta dom här 14 manikyrerna med en där alla fem färgerna är representerade. Vilket jag tycker känns väldigt bra.

Själv tycker jag det här blev en rolig manikyr. Jag är nöjd.

So the last manicure in my 5 Polishes 14 Manicures theme is what I will show you today. And I can tell you this: There is not one of the polishes that I can't imagine using again. And I was certinaly not out of ideas for more manicures either. 

As you can see with today's post there has not been single manicure with stamping. I blame Angelica for that :) Why? Well, today it's also Nailart Sunday and the theme was spets that is a Swedish word that can mean lace or tip or peak or point and actually a lot more. So you might understand that this theme can be interpreted in many ways. First I thought I'd actually make a lace patterns using stamping, but then I changed my mind because if I would have any stamping in any manicure in this theme, it would have been with my Depend plates just to show once again that it is possible to get your stuff in regular stores. I found a giant rack of nail art stuff on Ica Kvantum in Växjö, that is the city i live nearby and Kvantum is like a supermarket. 

Back to the topic, there were no matching patterns on those plates,  so I had to let my brain cells work a little and suddenly I realized that arrows have the points and arrows are available in many different colors so I could do the last of the 14 manicure using all five colors that has been represented. Which I think feels very good.

Personally, I think this was a fun manicure. I'm pleased.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Josie Stripes

Skönt med lördag. Inget speciellt inplanerat. Lite swatchning kanske :)

Idag visar jag er den manikyren som jag helt klart är mest nöjd med av de 13 jag gjort. Jo, det är bara en liten stackare kvar nu och den kommer imorgon. 

Basen är Zoya Josie, jag tog sen en av mina allra smalaste penslar och drog streck snett nedifrån med Color Club Beyond och Nubar Lemon Sherbert. 

Enkelt, ja visst, snyggt, absolut! Vid det här laget vet ni ju redan att jag hela tiden försökt göra sånt som man åtminstone med lite övning kan göra med små medel och utan att ha en hel arsenal med lack och det här är absolut ännu en sån manikyr. 

MatildaSari visar ett snyggt lila lack och jag tror att Fru Vesa uppdaterar rätt som det är också.

Nice that it's Saturday. Nothing special planned, maybe do some swatching :)

Today I show you the manicure that I clearly am most pleased with of the 13 I made so far. Well, it's just one little left after this one and that will come tomorrow.

The base is Zoya Josie, I then took one of my most narrow brushes and drew lines from the beginning on the nail up to the side with Color Club Beyond and Nubar Lemon Sherbert.

Simple, yes, nicely, absolutely! By now, you know already that my misson was to do things that you at least with a little practice can do with limited resources and without having an arsenal of varnish and this is definitely still one of those manicures.

MatildaSari shows a beautiful OPI polish today and I'm sure that Fru Vesa will update very soon.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Beyond Dots

Äntligen fredag! Igår var vi och bestämde belysning till badrummet och ikväll är jag och yngste grabben hemma själv. Film och något gott planeras. 

Mitt tema börjar så sakta närma sig sitt slut, men ett par dagar till får ni stå ut med det. Idag är det ju även Kerstins holofredag och jag kombinerar de båda. 

Lacket är ju i och för sig samma som jag visade förra fredagen, men med en liten uppfräschning. Det är alltså Color Club Beyond som återigen pryder mina naglar och jag kan lätt säga att jag har inga problem med att bära det här många gånger igen. 

Jag har sen lagt lite prickar med China Glaze Snap My Dragon, men för att inte bara göra en likadan prickig manikyr som igår så la på en mindre prick med Beyond i dom andra prickarna så det ser ut som en gammal grammofonskiva ungefär. 

MatildaSari och Fru Vesa är också med så klart!

Finally Friday! Yesterday we went to buy all the lightning for our bathroom and tonight me and the youngest son has the house for ourself. I think it will be a movie and something nice to eat.

My theme is slowly coming to an end, but there is still a few days for you to put up with it. Today is also Kerstins holofriday ​​and I combine the two.

The polish's is  the same that I showed you last Friday, but with a little refreshening. So this is Color Club Beyond that again adorn my nails and I can easily say that I have no problem with wearing it many times again.

I then added some dots with China Glaze Snap My Dragon, but in order to not only make a similar spotted manicure as yesterday I put down a small dot with Beyond in the other dots so it almost looks like an old gramophone record.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Holo dots

Ni som följt mig ett tag vet ju att jag älskar prickar! Och självklart är det en återkommande manikyr hos mig en som jag absolut tycker hör hemma i den här lilla utmaningen med tanke på att du egentligen kan använda vad som helst för att göra prickar. Ändar på pennor, nålar eller det är väl egentligen bara fantasin som sätter hinder för vad du skulle kunna använda. 

Alltså återigen en manikyr som vem som helst som känner för att vara lite kreativ kan fixa. Just den här är gjord med Nubar Lemon Sherbert som bas och så gjorde jag lite holoprickar med hjälp av Color Club Beyond på. 

Älskar färgkombon och holo är alltid rätt i vilken form det än är!

Jag ska ta och kolla vad MatildaSari och Fru Vesa har hittat på också.

If you have followed me for a while you already know that I love manicures with dots and that it's a kind of nailart that I keep returning too. And of course that is a kind of nailart that I think fits perfect in to this theme. Why? Because this is so easy to do and you don't need any special tools (if you don't want to) you could use the end of a pen or a needle or anything that your imagination comes up with. 

So again a manicure that anyone who is a little creative can make. This one is made with Nubar Lemon Sherbert as the base and dots with Color Club Beyond. A little holo is never wrong!

And I will take a look at what Fru Vesa and MatildaSari has come up with. 

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Fan Brush

Jaha, då var det onsdag igen. Huset börjar fyllas med hantverkare och vi får leva utan två badrum ett tag. Ska bli så skönt att få ett nytt och fräscht ett sen.

Idag ska jag återigen visa en mycket enkel manikyr. Basen fick bli Josie och sen plockade jag fram en fanbrush. Borde också kunna gå att köpa i hobbyaffärer. På min bild är den lite ihopklumpad. Hade precis rengjort den.

I alla fall så tog jag lite av Snap My Dragon som jag droppade upp på en gammal cd, som är ett perfekt underlag att använda sig av. Doppade sen spetsarna på borsten i den färgen och drog från sida till sida över nageln. Återigen så är det kanske inte färger som man tänkt sig tillsammans, men jag gillade resultatet.

Resultat blir givetvis inte lika på alla naglarna och det är lite det som är grejen tycker jag. Även det här är en kul effekt som är enkel att få till.

Idag kan jag glatt annonsera att en till blogg hängt med på temat så kika in hos både MatildaSari och Fru Vesa.

Well, it's Wednesday again. My house is starting to become crowded with craftsmen and we have to live without two bathrooms for a while. It will be so nice to get a fresh one later.

Today I will once again show you a very simple manicure. The base is Zoya Josie and then I picked up a fanbrush. This I think also should be able to get in craft stores. In my photo it is a bit clumped. Had just cleaned it.

In any case, I took a bit of Snap My Dragon that I dripped up on an old CD, which is a perfect base to use. Then dipped the tips of the brush in the paint and pulled from side to side across the nail. Again, it may not be colors that you think of using together, but I liked the result.

The result is of course not the same on all the nails and I like that it's a bit of the thing with this kind of manicure. I think this is a  fun effect that is easy to make.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - The Skittle

Alltså det här kanske känns som lite fusk, men faktum kvarstår att en Skittle är en typ av nailart och en kul sådan så varför inte visa att det faktiskt är helt ok att använda olika lack på alla naglarna.

Det har som ni säkert vet dessutom varit en hel del snack om just den här typen av regnbågsfärgade naglar sista tiden.

Jag tycker i alla fall att det här är en rolig manikyr som man blir glad av. Alltså har jag använt alla 5 lacken i samma nailart idag.

På tummen Color Club Beyond, pekfingret Isadora Poolside, långfinger China Glaze Snap My Dragon, ringfingret Zoya Josie och lillfingret Nubar Lemon Sherbert.

Och Fru Vesa har ni koll på också va?

So this may seem like a little cheating, but the fact remains that a Skittle is a type of nailart and a fun such so why not show that it is actually ok to use different paints on all the nails.

It has as you might know also been a lot of talk about just this kind of rainbow nails lately at least here in Sweden.

I think in any case, this is a fun manicure that makes you happy. Thus, I have used all 5 polishes in the same nailart today.

On my thumbs Color Club Beyond, forefinger Isadora Poolside, middle China Glaze Snap My Dragon, ring finger Zoya Josie and pinkie Nubar Lemon Sherbert.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - The Gradient

Jippie, lyckan när man står i duschen och inser att man ställt klockan en timme för tidigt....

Helt säker var jag på att jag ville göra någon typ av gradient av de här lacken. I mitt huvud hade jag dessutom klurat ut hur snygg den skulle bli, nåväl den kanske inte blev riktigt så som jag tänkt mig men återigen så gillar jag verkligen hur dom två färgerna som jag använde funkar ihop.

Det här är ju också något som vem som helt kan göra, ok jag erkänner att få det snyggt är inte helt enkelt, men grejerna till det har troligen dom flesta som håller på med lack hemma. Antingen en make-up svamp eller en vanlig sån där disksvamp.

Måla basfärgen låt det torka ordentligt. Jag la topplack på emellan för att det verkligen skulle vara torrt när jag börjarde svampa på nästa färg. När det väl torkat så tar du och penslar på färgen du valt på svampen och sen är det bara att börja svampa på den på nageln. Topplack på det!

Jag valde att bottna med Nubar Lemon Sherbert och återigen så är det Zoya Josie som fått vara med som accentfärg i gradienten.

Och Fru Vesa har säkert något kul att bjuda på hon också :)

I was sure that I wanted to do some type of gradient of these polishes. In my head, I also figured out how nice it would be, well maybe this isn't exactly how it looked in my head, but again I really like how the two colors that I used work together.

This is of course also something that anyone can totally do, ok I admit that getting it nicely is not easy, but the tools to make it is probably something  that most of you have at home. Either a make-up sponge or one of those that you use when you clean your sink or bathtub.

Paint the base color and let it dry thoroughly. I used top coat in between so that it really should be dry when I started to make the gradient. Once it has dried you apply the color of your choice to the sponge and start to apply it on the nail and to finish it use a layer of top coat. 

I chose to have Nubar Lemon Sherbert as a base and again, it's Zoya Josie who got to be the accent color in the gradient.

I'm sure Fru Vesa shows something nice as well!

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Striping manicure!

Vaknade tidigt och tog en liten fotorunda. Underbart härligt höstväder på morgonen.

Idag är det söndag och nu börjar det roliga med mitt tema, för nu blir det nailart hela tiden. Och idag så kombinerar jag det med Lelacks Nailart Sunday.

Igår visade jag Poolside och jag funderade på vad jag skulle kunna hitta på för något med det lacket. Av någon anledning så drogs jag till Zoya Josie. Tog fram lite striping tejp, men det går lika bra med vanlig tejp och delade av nageln på diagonalen. La sedan två lager Josie på en halvan och vips så hade jag fixat en helt ny manikyr.

Jag drog av tejpen lite för tidigt så det blev lite kladd, men annars så är jag väldigt nöjd med det här. Två färger som jag inte alls var säker på skulle funka ihop blev i mina ögon kanonbra.

Självklart kan jag ju inte skriva att jag varit ute och fotat utan att bjuda på några höstbilder också.

Woke up early and took a little photo round. Great beautiful autumn weather in the morning.

Today is Sunday, and this is were the fun begins with my theme, for now on it will be nailart all the time. And today, I combine it with Lelacks Nailart Sunday.

Yesterday I showed Poolside and I wondered what I could do for something with that polish. For some reason my eyes was drawn to Zoya Josie. Took out some striping tape, but it works just as well with regular tape and divided the nail on the diagonal. Then I applied two coats of Josie in one of the halfs and the other on is still blue. And just like that I had fixed a brand new manicure.

I pulled the tape a bit early so there was a little mess, but otherwise I'm very pleased with this one. Two colors that I was not at all sure would work together was in my eyes super.

And of course I will show you some of the photos I took this morning. 

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Isadora Poolside

Blev ett sent inlägg idag, har varit och firat mina brorsöner som fyller 15 & 25 år. Aldrig fel med lite god mat. Även hunnit städa ur kylskåpet eftersom det visade sig ha stått öppet när vi var iväg....

Nu till dagens manikyr som även är det sista av de fem lacken som får visa upp sig. Givetvis så ville jag ha med ett svenskt lack bland mina grundlack och valet föll på Isadora Poolside ett mycket fint klarblått eller poolvatten blått lack med skimmer i.

Isadoras pensel passar mig mycket bra. Det här lacket var lite skirare än vad jag normalt sett upplever Isadoras lack, men det torkade snabbt så tre lager var inga som helst bekymmer. Ett lager Seche över också.

Jag gillar det här riktigt mycket och känner mig väldigt nöjd med valen jag gjort på de fem "baslacken". Jag bär i och för sig sällan gult för sig självt, men dom andra fyra är lack som jag utan problem kan tänka mig bära på egen hand och jag hoppas att jag ska kunna få ihop en del nailart av dom.

Det kommer absolut inte bli något avancerad nailart så förvänta er inte storverk dom kommande dagarna. Jag vill hellre satsa på sånt som man kan tänka sig att testa på även om man inte är så van vid att göra nailart eller om man inte kan eller vill köpa massa dyra saker.

Jag hoppas att ni fortsätter följa med mig resten av mina manikyrer som kommer ingå i temat och att ni också tar er tid till att hälsa på hos Fru Vesa som också kör det här temat.

Became a late post today, has been and celebrated my nephews who turns 15 & 25 years. It's never wrong with some good food. Even had time to clean out the fridge because it turned out that someone had left it open when we was away..........

Now on to today's manicure, which is also the last of the five polishes that I will use for my theme. Of course I wanted to have a Swedish polishes among them and chose Isadora Poolside a very fine clear blue or pool water blue polish with shimmer in.

Isadoras brush fits me very well. This polish was a little sheerer than I normally experience Isadoras formula, but it dried quickly so three layers was absolutely no problem. I have a coat of Seche over it too.

I like this polish very much and feel very happy with the choices I made for the five "base polishes". I rarely carry yellow on it's own, but the other four are polishes that I can safely imagine carrying on their own and I hope that I can nice nailart from them as well.

There will absolutely be no advanced nail art so don't expect great things the next few days. I'd rather focus on things that you can think of to try to even if you're not so skilled in doing nailart or if you can't or wont to buy lot of expensive things.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Color Club Beyond

Då var det fredag och manikyr nummer fem av mina 14. Fredag innebär ju också Skimmerskuggans holofredag så självklart passar jag på att visa det enda hololacket av de 5 jag valde ut nämligen Color Club Beyond.

Givetvis fanns det en anledning till att det blev det här mörka lacket, för jag ville ha något grått eller svart med. Dels så är Color Club ett märke som man kan få tag på i Sverige. I vissa riktigt bra ICA Maxi eller Kvantum hittar man ibland märket. Det dyker upp hela tiden på Tradera och även i vissa andra butiker. Sen kan man givetvis hitta det på utländska siter till riktigt vettiga priser.

Men det var inte bara därför som jag valde det här. Dels så är det svart/grått och har fantastiskt bra egenskaper för att vara ett holo. Inga tendenser till holosjuka (alltså att färgen dras med av penseln) täcker kanonbra på två lager och torkar fort. Detta betyder ju då givetvis att det är som klippt och skuret för nailart.

Sen finns det ju andra egenskaper med det som inte heller är så dumma. Som till exempel att det är suveränt snyggt och att regnbågarna som bildas när det i lite ljus är helt otroliga. Alltså två lager och lite Seche är vad som syns på bilderna.

En sak till förresten. Color Club har en förbaskat bra pensel.

Nu är det bara ett av "baslacken" kvar att visa och det kommer imorgon tänkte jag. Och som vanligt får ni ju inte glömma att titta in hos Fru Vesa.

So it's Friday and manicure number five of my 14. Friday also means that it's Skimmerskuggans holofriday ​​so obviously I take the opportunity to show you the only holo of the five. Namely Color Club Beyond.

Of course there was a reason that I choosed this dark polish, because I wanted one of the five to be something gray or black. One of the reason that I choosed a polish from Color Club is that it's a brand that you can find in Sweden. Sometimes in really good supermarkets. It pops up all the time on eBay and also in some other stores. Then you can of course find it on foreign sites at really reasonable prices.

But it was not the only reason why I chose this. First, it is black / gray and has fantastic qualities to be a holo. No holosickness here, cover perfectly on two coats and dries quickly. This means that it fit perfect for nailart. 

Then there are other features with it that is kind of nice. The fact that it's a really beautiful polish and that the rainbows formed when in direct light is incredible. Two layers and one with Seche is what you see in the pictures.

One more thing by the way. Color Club has a damn good brush.

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Zoya Josie

Idag blir det ingen nailart, men väl ett underbart vackert lack som man egentligen inte alls behöver göra någon nailart på för att det ska liksom klara sig på egen hand.

Lacket är Zoya Josie och kom ut i våras i en kollektion som heter Stunning. En lite dammig grön nyans. Och jag tänker redan nu säga att ja, jag vet mina nagelband ser förfärliga ut på bilderna!

Jag älskar Zoya och det här är inget undantag. Det fanns en anledning till att jag valde ut just det här lacket till ett av de fem. Zoya sviker sällan formula mässigt och jag är mycket bra kompis med deras pensel. Även det här var trevligt att lacka med. Jag har visserligen tre lager på bilderna, men inget topplack så ni ser att det blir glansigt och jämt utan det. Torktiden är bra så tre lager är absolut inget som bekymrar mig.

Sen tycker jag att grönt är snyggt på nagellack och tänkte att det nog var lätt att mixa med dom andra lacken. Om jag hade rätt i den frågan återstår att se.

Today there will be no nailart, but I have a wonderfully beautiful polish for you that you don't really need to do any nailart on for it to look fantastic on it's own.

The polish is Zoya Josie and came out with the spring collection Stunning. A little dusty green shade. And I will say right now that yes, I know my cuticles look horrible in the pictures!

I love Zoya, and this is no exception. There was a reason why I chose this particular polish to be one of the five. Zoyas formula rarely betrays me and I am a very good friend with their brush. This was no exeption.  True, I have three layers on in the pictures, but no top coat so you can see that it becomes glossy and evenly without it. The drying time is good so three coats is absolutely nothing that concerns me.

Then I happen to think that green is an awesome color on nailpolishes and thought that it was probably easy to mix with the other colors I picked out. Well, we will soon find out if I was right about that!

5 Polishes 14 Manicures - Blue stripes

Jag kan ju inte låta er bara se "tråkiga" swatcher även om jag inte visat alla baslacken riktigt ännu. Nä, idag tänkte jag att ni skulle få se första nailarten som jag gjort av två av lacken jag får använda mig av och en väldigt smal pensel.

Som bas har jag China Glaze Snap My Dragon och på det har jag valt att göra streck som om man har lite fantasi nästan skulle kunna vara lite tigerrandiga eller zebrarandiga eller helt enkelt bara streck. Lacket jag gjorde strecken av heter Poolside och kommer från Isadora.

Penseln jag har använt mig av är en nailart pensel som har ganska långa, men väldigt smala borst. Finns för mycket billiga pengar på E-bay, men jag kan tänka mig att det går att få tag på liknande som funkar utmärkt både på Panduro eller vilken färgaffär som helst. Eller kan man köpa speciella nailart färger med liknande penslar i och sådana har jag sett på Maxi och mycket billigt på GeKå:s i Ullared.

Och med detta vill jag säga att det alltså inte krävs dyra specialsaker för att man ska kunna göra en enkel nailart som ändå piggar till manikyrer väldigt mycket. Och det är ju lite det hela temat går ut på att man faktiskt inte behöver varken vara proffs eller ha mycket grejer för att leka runt lite.

Jag har ingen aning om vad Fru Vesa har att bjuda på idag, men jag tänker ta reda på det och det tycker jag att ni också ska göra.

I can't let you just see the "boring" swatches although I haven't showed you all of the base colors in this theme yet. No, today, I thought that you would get to see the first nailart I made of  two of the polishes I'm allowed to use in this challenge and a very thin brush.

As a base, I have China Glaze Snap My Dragon and I have chosen to stripes that gets thinner at the end of them and if you have a little imagination you could almost say that it looks a little like tiger stripes or zebra stripes or simply just stripes! The polish I made the strips from are Poolside and it comes from Isadora.

The brush I am using is a nail art brush that is quite long, but with very narrow straws. Available for very little money on E-bay, but I can imagine that you can find similar at any crafts store or places you can buy paint. Or you can buy special nail art colors with similar brushes and such, I have seen in my local supermarket.

And that is the whole point with this theme to show that you don't need to be a professional or have expencive special tools do nailart that still pimps your manicure to something fun. 

I have no idea of what Fru Vesa will show you today but I will surely find out!

5 Polishes - 14 Manicures - Nubar Lemon Sherbert

Det kanske känns som en lite tråkig start, men ni måste ju få se några av baslacken innan vi kommer till den roliga delen av den här utmaningen :)

Så därför blir lack manikyr nummer två som jag visar det pastellgula Nubar Lemon Sherbert. Från början så beställde jag det här för att använda till mina påskmanikyrer, men det kom inte förrän efter påsk så det blev liksom stående i min låda. Ett gult lack är också en bra bas till mycket kul man kan göra på naglarna. Tyvärr så är ofta pastellgula lack mindre kul att lacka med.

Nubar Lemon Sherbert tillhör dock de bättre av sitt slag. Visst blir det lite ojämt, men det jämnar ut sig bra med ett topplack. Det var inga större problem att måla med det i alla fall. Tre lager har jag på för full täckning. Torktiden var det inga problem med.

Jag tycker det är en mycket mjuk och fin gul färg på det här. Min tanke var ju att ett av lacken behövde vara av det ljusare slaget och då passade det här alldeles utmärkt in.

Och så glömmer ni väl inte att titta in hos Fru Vesa också!

It might feel like a bit dull start, but you have to get to know some of the base polishes in this theme before we get to the fun part of this challenge :)

So therefore manicure number two  that I show you are the pastel yellow Nubar Lemon Sherbert. From the beginning, I ordered this to use for my easter theme, but it didn't come until after Easter, so it has been standing untested in my drawer. A yellow paint is also a good base for a lot of fun to do on your nails. Unfortunately, pastell polishes is often not so much fun to paint with.

Nubar Lemon Sherbert however, belong to the better of its kind. Sure it gets a little uneven, but it evens out well with a top coat. There were no major problems to paint with it either. Three layers is what I have on for full coverage. The drying time was not a problem either.

I think it's a very soft and nice yellow color on this. My thought was that one of the polishes of the five needed to be of a lighter nature and this fits perfectly.
