Reader's Choice - Zoya Beth

Vilken härlig lördag! Solen skiner och jag har inte gjort mycket vettigt alls. Ikväll blir det lite grillning med familjen.

Återigen så var det två lack som fick lika mycket röster så den här gången valde jag det lacket som såg mest intressant ut av de båda. I det här fallet är det Zoya Beth som fick bli veckans läsarnas val. Om vi börjar med hur lacket är att måla med så är det riktigt bra, men det är ett ljust lack och jag tog tre lager till slut. Två kanske hade räckt om man tar lite tjockare på första lagret.

Så till färgen. Jag är rätt säker på att jag inte har något liknande i min samling. Det är mörkt, men samtidigt ljust en typ av sandfärg som drar mot guld på grund av skimret i lacket. Ett av de absolut vackraste neutrala lack jag har. Helt underbart faktiskt.

What a beautiful Saturday! The sun is shining and I have had a lazy day. Tonight, we will have some barbeque with the family. 

Again, there were two polihses that got equaly many votes so this time I chose the polish that looked most interesting of the both. In this case, it's Zoya Beth that became this week's readers' choice. Let's start with some information about the formula. It's really good, but it's a pretty light color so I have three layers on the photos. I think you could do only two if you do a thicker first layer.

So to the color. I'm pretty sure I don't have anything else like this in my collection. It is dark, but at the same time a light polish with some kind of sand color that draws towards gold because of the shimmer in the paint. One of the absolutely most beautiful neutral polishes I have. Absolutely wonderful indeed.

Holoflowers!

Dagen började med massage, väl behövt kan jag lova. Lite smått mör i nacke och axlar, men så bra det kommer bli sen. Sen har jag gjort något som jag sällan gör och som borde göras oftare. Tvättat bilen! Inte blev den superbra, för det var lite för soligt där jag stod, men nu blir det ny smuts på den i alla fall. Ikväll blir det faktiskt lackbeställning. Glam Polish släpper lite nytt och jag håller i en sambeställning.

Men vi får ju inte glömma bort att det faktiskt är holofredag hos Sminkan och jag hoppas mitt bidrag blir godkänt, för det jag har gjort är att stämpla små blommor med hjälp av Dreamland Lacquer Aurora Four-ealis som är ett holo över Depend 7 Day Stronger Than You Think. Vissa av blommorna har dessutom fått lite silverholo i mitten. Mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro 08

Alltså det blev ju nästan lite 70-tals tapet känsla över den här manikyren. Jag gillar verkligen hur färgerna funkar ihop och att Aurora var så bra att stämpla med. En härlig mörk sommarmanikyr :)

The day started with me getting a massage, well needed I promise you. A little bit tender in my neck and shoulders, but it will be good later. Then I have done something that I rarely do and should be doing more often. I have washed my car! It didn't look super good after, because it was a bit too sunny where I stood, but it will be new dirt on it instead of old anyway. Tonight, I will order som polishes since Glam Polish releases some news and I will coordinate an order with some friends. 

But we must not forget that it's actually holofriday at Sminkans and I hope my contribution will be approved because what I've done is to stamp small flowers using Dreamland Lacquer Aurora Four-ealis, that is a holo over Depend 7 Day Stronger Than You Think. Some of the flowers have also received some silverholo in the middle. The pattern comes from MoYou London Pro 08.

I think this almost has a little 70's wall paper feeling to it. I really like how the colors work together and that Aurora was so good to stamp with. A lovely dark summer manicure :)

Alltså jag är nog lite konstig just nu, men mitt i sommarvärmen så är jag sugen på mörka nagellack. Är det någon mer än jag som känner så? Annars tuffar livet på rätt gott just nu. Är så skönt att inte behöva jaga jobb utan kunna njuta av att vara ledig över sommaren innan skolan börjar. Sonen och jag promenerade ner till dammen innan och jösses vad grodor det är där! Man kunde liksom inte sätta ner fötterna utan att riskera att trampa på en.

En av anledningar till att det blev ett mörkt lack idag är att veckans utmaning gällande Pantone färger är Sailor Blue, en blå som jag uppfattade på mobilen som ganska mörkt blå, nästan lite dammig. Jag kikade runt lite i mina otestade lådor och hittade ett lack från Depend 7 Days Celebrate Personality kollektion som kom ut förra hösten. Lacket heter Stronger Than You Think. Mycket bra formula och två lager är vad jag har på bilderna. Och topplack så klart.

Det här är enligt mig skitsnyggt! Jag älskar den här mörkt blåa nyansen hela året om.

So I'm probably a little bit strange because in the middle of the summer heat we have right now I'm crazy about dark nail polish. Is there anyone else that feels this way? Otherwise, life is pretty good right now. It's so nice to not have to chase for a job but instead enjoy being free during the summer before school starts. The son and I walked down to the pond before and oh my god how many frogs there are! You could not put your feet down without risking walking on one.

One reason why it became a dark polish today is that this week's Pantone color challenge is Sailor Blue, a blue that I perceived on the phone as quite dark blue, almost a bit dusty. I looked around in my untested boxes and found one from the Depend 7 Days Celebrate Personality collection that came out last fall. The polish is called Stronger Than You Think. Very good formula and two layers are what I have on the pictures. And topcoat of course. 

I think this is stunning! I love this dark blue shade all year long.

Hoppas ni alla haft/har en riktigt bra nationaldag. Här har det varit bara bra vill jag lova. Lugn förmiddag och sen besök av fina vänner, god kvällsmat och snart blir det något avsnitt av Homeland som vi fastnat i något lite senare än alla andra kanske.

Dagen till ära har jag givetvis blå/gula naglar och dessutom målade med ett svenskt märke som är tillverkat i Sverige. Inte dåligt va? Lacken kommer från Life of Venice kollektionen och heter Hello Sunshine och Blue Paradise. Bägge har mycket bra egenskaper. Det blåa Blue Paradise har jag två lager av och det gula Hello Sunshine tre.

Jag är verkligen superförtjust i bägge de här färgerna. Den här blåa typen av lack gillar jag ju alltid och just det här gula fick mig på fall. Så himla solig och glad färg.

Today we celebrate our National Day in Sweden. To be honest we are not that good on celebrating this, but to have a day of is never wrong. So to my fellow Swedes I hope you all have had a really good national day. I've had a great day. Calm morning and then visit a from nice friends, good supper and soon there will be some episodes of Homeland as we hav got stuck in somewhat a bit later than everybody else.

To honor this day I have painted my nails in blue & yellow and to top it the polish brand is Swedish and also produced in Sweden.  Not bad, huh? The polishes comes from the Life of Venice collection, and are called Hello Sunshine and Blue Paradise. Both have very good formula. Blue Paradise is painted with two layers and the yellow Hello Sunshine three.

I'm really excited about both of these colors. I always like this kind of blue polish and this yellow one really got me. So sunny and happy color.

Anna Gorelova by Dance Legend - 68 Bullfinch

Jag brukar inte må dåligt av värme, men i söndags gjorde jag verkligen det. Hade fått i mig för lite vätska och hade huvudvärk och var allmänt hängig. Rättade till mig sen framåt kvällen och hängde med in till en kompis som brukar klippa min man. Lite bakad potatis med goda fyllningar hjälpte till sen också. Igår hade jag tänkt att blogga, men det blev en konstig dag. Skjutsade hem svärdottern och när vi kommer utanför hennes hus så har precis en tjej cyklat omkull och slagit sig rätt ordentligt, så det blev att ringa ambulans. Tänk vad mycket fina människor det finns. Vi var först, men det tog inte många sekunder innan en annan kvinna också stannat, en som dessutom var sjukvårdskunnig, och det var någon till som kollade om dom skulle hjälpa till. Som tur var gick allting ganska bra och jag fick rapport från hennes mamma senare på kvällen att hon inte fått några allvarliga skador utan var mer blåslagen och hade ont. Nåväl, sen blev det träning och en hel del prat i telefon, lacket jag bar såg dessutom fortfarande väldigt fint ut, så jag valde att vänta med att byta till idag.

Idag bestämde jag mig för att bära lacket som egentligen var anledningen till att jag köpte hela Anna Gorelovas vinterkollektion. Jag är nämligen otroligt förtjust i Domherrar och det här lacket heter 68 Bullfinch alltså Domherre på engelska. Och man tänker ju att de små fina fåglarna är knallröda på bröstet, men de är dom inte riktigt så det här lacket som rödorange stämmer nog rätt bra tror jag. Jag tvekade lite efter två lager så jag har faktiskt tre, men jag tror egentligen inte att det gjorde så stor skillnad. Bra formula och torktid.

Det här kanske aldrig blir mitt röda favoritlack, men jag tycker mycket mycket om det och som sagt namnet gör mig glad. Det har en fin färg och dessutom ett mycket trevligt skimmer så hos mig går det här hem.

I don't usually feel sick of heat, but I really did this Sunday. I had probably not been drinking enough of water so I had a headache and was generally low. It felt better towards the evening and me and my husband went to a friend who gave my husband a well needed haricut. A little baked potato with good fillings helped out too. Yesterday I was going to blog, but it became an unusal day. I was driving my son's girlfriend home and when we arrieved at her house a woman had just fallen from her bike right into the street and was in severe pain and could not move, so we had to call the ambulance. The good thing about this is that you see the best side of humanity because it didn't take many seconds after we arrived (first on the scene) before another woman also stayed, one who also had some medical skills, and there was other who also checked if they should help out. Fortunately, everything went well and I received a report from her mother later in the evening that she had no serious injuries but was more blistered and had pain. Well, after this I could drive on to the gym. Also did a lot of talking on the phone that day and the polish I was wearing was still very nice, so I chose to wait to change it until today.

Today, I decided to wear the polish that really was the reason I bought the entire Anna Gorelova winter collection. I am unbelievably fond of Bullfinchs and that is what this polish is called. And you might think that the little cute male birds are much more reddish on the chest, but they are not really so this kind of reddish on the polish is pretty accurant, I think. I hesitated a bit after two layers so I actually have three, but I don't really think it made such a big difference. Good formula and drying time.

This may never be my favorite of my red polishes, but I like it so so much and of course I love the name and it makes me happy. It has a nice color and in addition a very nice shimmer so this works fine with me.
