The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents- Funky French #1

Den här månadens tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Funky French ett tema som jag kanske inte är så supertaggad över. Jag kan väl i och för sig tycka att det är fint med fransk manikyr, men samtidigt lite tråkigt kanske. Fast som sagt nu var det ju Funky det hette och då kanske det trots allt inte behöver bli så trist...

I alla fall så tycker jag inte själv att min första manikyr är tråkig på något sätt, sen är det väl kanske ett gränsfall om det kan ingå i fransk eller inte, men jag bestämde att den fick göra det.

Det jag har gjort är en waterfall manikyr med Sealore Beluga Blizzard som bas. Sen har jag gjort smala streck från nagelkanten och nedåt med ett gäng rosa lack. För det är ju trots allt Oktober och vi börjar närma oss vår temavecka United In Pink. Men hela Oktober är ju faktiskt en rosa månad så jag tyckte det var passande att använda det till den här manikyren också.

De rosa lacken jag har använt är: Zoya Rory, Smitten Date Night, OPI Girls Love Ponies och Purrfect Pawlish Fresh Sorbet.

Det här tycker jag blev snyggt!

This month's theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Funky French a theme that I might not be so super psyched over. It's not that I don't like French manicures but I might think they are a bit boring. Though as I said this is Funky French so maybe after all it might not be so boring...

Anyway, I don't think that my first manicure is boring in any way but perhaps it's a borderline case if it can be part of a French or not, but I decided that it could.

What I have done is a waterfall manicure with Sealore Beluga Blizzard as a base. Then I made narrow streaks from the nail edge and down with a bunch of pink polishes. For it is after all October and we are approaching our theme week United In Pink. But the whole October is actually a pink month so I thought it was fitting to use that color for this manicure too.

The pink polishes I have used are: Zoya Rory, Smitten Date Night, OPI Girls Love Ponies and Purrfect Pawlish Fresh sorbet.

I think this turned out really great!

Reader's Choice - Sealore Beluga Blizzard

Lördag och vi ska äntligen få gå och titta på I Love Musicals. Biljetterna köptes tidigt i våras. Först äta en god bit mat och sen njuta av skönsång och detta tillsammans med finaste grannarna.

Men nu till dagens lack som självklart är ett som ni mina läsare har valt för det är ju som sagt lördag och läsarnas val. Lacket som vann förra veckans omröstning är Sealore Beluga Blizzard ett lack som jag fick i en Secret Santa Bag och som också är det enda jag har ifrån Sealore.

Jag är faktiskt lite kluven till det här lacket som består av en klar bas med microglitter i olika nyanser av vitt upp mot beige. Jag har inte testat att använda det på egen hand även om det förmodligen går. Istället har jag lagt två lager över ett vitt krämlack. Det var inga som helst problem med appliceringen utan glittret spred sig lätt på nageln och torktiden var också riktigt bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Nä, det jag inte kan bestämma mig för är om jag tycker om det här eller inte. På ett sätt gör jag det för det ser faktiskt ut som snö på naglarna även om mina bilder kanske inte är de allra bästa på att visa detta. Och jag har till slut vant mig och kan tycka att vita lack är riktigt fina ensamt på naglarna, men det här blir en lite pärlemoraktig effekt av som jag kanske inte kommer helt överens med.

Så ja, det är fint, men kanske inte något jag kommer använda på egen hand igen. Däremot kan jag ju se det här som grund till nail arts och till vintermanikyrer utan minsta problem.

Nu till dagens omröstning med lack som av slump bara blev sådana som jag fått av mina vänner i födelsedagsgruppen!

Saturday and tonight we will go to a show called I Love Musicals with two of Swedens best singers at least in my opinion. But before that we will go to a restaurant and eat great food with our lovely neighbours. So I'm looking forward to this evening.

But now to today's polish which obviously is one you my readers have chosen because after all it is Saturday and that does mean Reader's Choice.

The polish that won last week's vote is Sealore Beluga Blizzard a polish that I got in a Secret Santa bag and also is the only one I have from Sealore.

I'm actually a little ambivalent to this polish which consists of a clear base with micro glitter in shades of white up against beige. I decided to not use it on it's own but instead I did two layers over a white base, but I do think it's possible to use it on it's own to. There was no problem with the application the glitter spread out easily on the nail and the drying time was also really good.In the pictures I have topcoat on as well. 

I can't decide if I like this or not. In a way I do because it actually looks like snow on the nails even though my pictures might not be the best at showing this. And I've finally gotten used to have white nails without any nail art. But this has a little pearly effect of which I may not entirely agree with.

So yes, it's nice, but maybe not something I will use on it's own again. However, I can see this as the basis for Nail Arts and winter manicures without the slightest problem.

Now on to today's poll with three polishes that I got from my friends in the Birthday group I'm a part of. 

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Pets #4

Vet ni vad för ovanlighetens skull blev det fågelinspirerat även för manikyr nummer fyra i The Nail challenge collaboratives husdjurstema.

Det var i och för sig inte riktigt meningen, men mönstret jag egentligen tänkte använda bråkade med mig så det fick bli en hel rad med små fåglar på rad. Jag hade faktiskt en dröm för länge sedan att ha just så. En hel voljär full av Undulater. Den drömmen har jag dock skippat.

Som bas till det här har jag använt Barielle Enduring ett vitt lack, men inte kritvitt och mönstret kommer från BM 614 och är stämplat med MoYou London Black Knight och ett finger med Zoya Purity. Det var inte riktigt tanken från början att ha olika färger, men det blev ändå rätt bra måste jag säga.

You know what the last of the four pets inspired manicures for The Nail Challenge Collaborative will also be inspired by birds.

It was actually not my intention, but the pattern I was going to use wouldn't work with me so I had to make a series of small birds in a row instead. I actually had a dream long ago to have just that. A whole aviary full of Budgies. That dream is not in my mind anymore though. 

As a base for this, I have used Barielle Enduring a white coat, but not pure white and the pattern comes from BM 614 and are stamped with MoYou London Black Knight and one finger with Zoya Purity. It was not really the idea from the beginning to have different colors, but it turned out pretty good I think.

Delush Polish - 50 Shades Of Yay

Jag tillhör dom som inte varken läst böckerna eller sett filmen 50 Shades of grey vilka jag starkt misstänker att Delush Polish syftar på när dom har döpt sitt lack till 50 Shades Of Yay. Måste säga att jag gillar lacknamnet bättre än boknamnet. 

Det här är ett crelly lack med en vit bas som sen är fylld med glitter i både cirkel och hexagonformer. Det finns både pastell och neonfärger bland dom. Själva basen var lätt att jobba med och dom mindre glittren följer med upp utan problem. Däremot upplevde jag att man får fiska lite för att få upp dom stora cirkelglittren. 

Jag tycker verkligen om den här typen av lite skira vita lack med glitter i. Man känner sig fräsch tycker jag när man bär de här lacken. För min del tyckte jag inte det gjorde något att man inte fick upp dom stora cirklarna så lätt för helt ärligt så tycker jag nästan det är snyggare utan dom.

På bilderna har jag tre lager och topplack. Torktiden var helt ok. Anledningen till att jag har tre lager är för att jag fiskade cirklar annars tycker jag att det kunde räckt med två. Vita crellys är nog en av de enda typerna av lack som jag tycker det är helt ok med VNL på och med två lager har du lite men absolut inte så det stör. Tre lager täcker nästan helt skulle jag vilja säga.

I belong to those who hasn't either read the books or seen the film 50 Shades of Grey which I strongly suspect that Delush Polish is referring to when they have named their polish 50 Shades Of Yay. Must say I like the name of the polish better than the book title.

This is a crelly polish with a white base that is then filled with glitter in both circle and hexagon shapes. There are both pastel and neon colors blended into it. The base itself was easy to work with and the smaller glitters follows up on the brush without problems. However you do need to fish around a bit to get some of the large circles up. 

I really enjoy this kind of delicate white polishes with glitter in. I think you get a fresh feeling wearing these polishes. For my part, I didn' think it matters so much that you didn't get so many of the bigger circles up from the bottle for quite honestly I think it's almost better looking without them.

In the pictures I have three coats and top coat. The drying time was ok. The reason I have three layers is because I was fishing for circles else, I think I would have stopped with two. White crellys is probably one of the only types of polish that I think it's totally ok with VNL and with two layers you have some but certainly not disturbingly much. Three layers you will almost have full cover with.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Superheroes #4

Jag trodde nog faktiskt aldrig att jag skulle ha en manikyr inspirerad av just den här hjälten, fast å andra sidan sa jag ju det om förra Superhjälte maniikyren också.

När min äldste son gick i lågstadiet och hade börjat kunna läsa rätt hyggligt fanns det en serie böcker som han älskade. Böckerna handlar om två pojkar som älskar att hitta på bus och att rita serier om sin påhittade hjälte Kapten Kalsipp, som den hette då, nu tror jag böckerna heter Kapten Kalsong. Rektorn på deras skola hatar bus och serier mest av allt och en dag råkar killarna hypnotisera rektorn som förvandlas till just Kapten Kalsipp. Faktiskt riktigt roliga böcker för barn i lågstadiet.

Våra böcker är rätt utslitna faktiskt, men min yngste grabb tyckte det här var en perfekt superhjälte att ta inspiration av till månadens tema och givetvis så lyder jag honom.

Jag har använt mig av Hungry Asian Strawberry till dom röda naglarna som representerar Kaptenens Röda mantel (som på bilderna har lite svarta prickar) och Zoya Purity till dom vita naglarna. Kalsongerna är skapade med en nail art penna.

I don't think I ever thought I would have a manicure inspired by this particular hero, but on the other hand, that is what I said about my last Superhero manicure too.

When my oldest son went to primary school and had started to read pretty well, there were a series of books he loved. The books are about two boys who love to make trouble and to draw comics about their fictional hero Captain Underpants. The headmaster of their school hate mischief and comics most of all and one day the to boys happen to hypnotize the headmaster that turnes into Captain Underpants. These are actually really fun books for children in primary school.

Our books are properly worn indeed, but my youngest boy thought this was a perfect superhero to take inspiration from for this month's theme and of course, I obey him.

I have used Hungry Asian Strawberry to the red nails which represents the Captain's red robe (that in the pictures have little black dots) and Zoya Purity for the white nails. The underwear is made with a nail art pen.

United In Grey - Grey Ribbon

Hörrni den här veckan går ju i det grå bandets tecken och därför googlade jag lite på just Hjärntumörer. Jag vet att jag förra året fick fram fakta på att det var en av de vanligaste cancerformerna hos barn, men alla som får en tumör i hjärnan eller i hypofysen som också räknas in här har ju faktiskt inte cancer. Cancer är det ju först om tumören är elakartad.

På Cancerfondens sida hittade jag följande information: Tumörer i hjärnan drabbar alla åldrar, men är vanligast hos personer över 60 år. Ungefär hälften av de ca 1100 som varje år i Sverige drabbas är faktiskt över 60. Utöver de 1100 får ca 100 till cancer i någon del av nervsystemet och ca 100 personer tumörer i hypofysen. Sammanlagt betyder det att cancer i hjärnan är den elfte vanligaste cancerformen i Sverige.

De vanligaste symptomen på en tumör någonstans i hjärnan eller hypofysen för den delen är: Huvudvärk, Illamående och kräkningar, Epileptiska anfall, tal- hörsel- synproblem, balansproblem, försämrad rörelse och känselförmåga och psykiska besvär. Många av dom här besvären kan ju bero på många andra saker också så helt enkelt är det nog inte för våra läkare att konstatera just den här sjukdomen.

Just tumörer i hjärnan är en av dom saker som forskarna fortfarande vet ganska lite om varför dom uppkommer, men intensiv forskning pågår om detta. Vill man hjälpa till att bidra till forskningen kan man skänka bidrag till Cancerfonden eller Hjärnfonden.

Nu till dagens gråa manikyr. Jag tog fram ett av mina favoriter bland gråa lack nämligen Powder Perfect The Clave, gjorde en accentnagel med hjälp av Milani White On The Spot och använde mig också av Nail Vinyls Vinyls For A Cause stencil för att göra ett fint litet grått band.

This week is about the Grey Ribbon and therefore I searched on Google a bit about brain tumors. I know that when we did this week last year I found out that in Sweden Cancer in the brain is one of the most common cancers that children is affected by. But everyone that gets a tumor in the brain or pituitary gland, which also is included here actually doesn't have cancer. It's cancer first if the tumor is malignant.

At the Swedish Cancerfondens homepage I found the following information. And this is numbers that affect Sweden. Tumors in the brain affects all ages, but is most common in people over 60 years. About half of the approximately 1100 in Sweden that each year gets this diagnosis are actually over 60. In addition to the 1100 about 100 more gets cancer in any part of the nervous system and approximately 100 persons tumors in the pituitary gland. Altogether it means that brain cancer is the eleventh most common cancer in Sweden.

The most common symptoms of a tumor anywhere in the brain or pituitary gland, for that matter are: headache, nausea and vomiting, seizures, speech- auditory- or vision problems, balance problems, impaired movement and tactility and psychological disorders. Many of  these symptoms may of course depend on many other things as well so it's probably not easy for our physicians to conclude this particular disease.

Tumors in the brain is one of the things that scientists still know very little about the reasons why they occur, but intense research is going on about this. 

Now to today's gray manicure. I took out one of my favorite gray polishes namely Powder Perfect The Clave, made an accent nail using Milani White On The Spot and also used  Nail Vinyls Vinyls for a Cause stencil to make a nice little gray ribbon.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Spring Flowers #1

Månadens tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Spring Flowers, alltså vårblommor. Manikyren som jag visar idag kanske inte är direkt en vårblomma, men jag tycker ändå att den passar på våren och därför bestämde jag att den funkar för temat.

Den här designen är en jag hittade i The Lacquerologist Idiot's Guides to Nail Art jag kan nog inte riktigt påstå att jag är supernöjd, det blev lite för tjocka svarta linjer, men för att vara ett första försök för en som inte är speciellt bra på frihanda saker så får jag ändå känna mig nöjd och glad.

Lacken jag använt är Zoya Purity, OPI Panda-Monium Pink och Milani Black Swift.

This months theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Spring Flowers. The Manicure that I show today might not exactly be a spring flower, but I still think that it fits in the spring and so I decided that it works for the theme.

This design is one I found in The Lacquerologist Idiot's Guides to Nail Art, I probably can't really say that I'm really happy whit it because the black lines got a little to thick, but to be a first attempt from someone who is not very good at freehand things I can still feel satisfied and happy.

The polishes I used is Zoya Purity, OPI Panda-Monium Pink and Milani Black Swift.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - 3d Anniversary Recreation #2

Nu tycker jag det är dags att visa lite stamping som blev precis som jag tänkt mig istället för dom mer misslyckade som jag visat tidigare i veckan.

Temat i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är alltså att återskapa en tidigare manikyr och jag föll direkt för en som Stephanie på A little Polish hade gjort till ett tidigare tema som var svart/vitt. Min manikyr blir inte exakt likadan eftersom jag inte har exakt samma färger att använda mig av, men väldigt lik i alla fall. Originalet hittar ni här.

Det jag använt mig av är Star Nails vita lack som jag tyvärr inte har numret på just nu. Mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro 06 och jag har använt mig av Mentality Glaze Red, Green och Opaque Black. Och den här typen av manikyr kallas för lead light.

Mina färger blev något starkare rosa än vad originalet är, men jag är så himla nöjd med den här manikyren och det är så kul att få visa något som blev som jag tänkt mig.

Don't you think it's time for me to show you some stamping that actually turned out the way I had imagined instead of the failed ones earlier this week.

The theme of The Nail Challenge Collaborative is to recreat a past manicure and I fell for one that Stephanie at A Little Polish had made to an earlier theme that was black / white. My manicure is not exactly the same as I didn't have exactly the same colors that she used but very similar in all cases. The original can be found here.

I used Star Nails white polish which I unfortunately don't have the number on right now. The pattern comes from MoYou London Pro 06 and I am using Mentality Glaze Red, Green and Opaque Black. And this type of manicure is called leadlight manicure.

My pink color is slightly stronger pink than what the original is, but I'm so happy with this manicure and it's so fun to show you something that I'm very pleased with.

Purrfect Pawlish - I Love My Cat Collection

Jag har fått äran att testa nya kollektioner från vårt svenska Indiemärke Purrfect Pawlish. vilket jag uppskattar väldigt mycket. Kollektionerna kommer att släppas kvällen den 6/3 och kommer då att gå att köpa här: http://purrfectpawlish.bigcartel.com/

Vad jag vet så finns det inte mer svenska Indiemärken som finns ute för försäljning, men jag kan ha fel och rätta mig gärna med en kommentar i så fall.

Det är två kollektioner som kommer att släppas den dagen och idag tänkte jag visa er en av dom som kallas för I <3 My Cat. Den består av två stycken lack som är tänkta att använda tillsammans. Som ni kanske redan misstänkt så är skaparen av Purrfect Pawlish en kattälskare och mycket av inspirationen kommer ju då givetvis från hennes egna katter.

Det första heter Soft And Fluffy och är ett silvervitt skimrande lack med en diskret holoeffekt i sig. Tyvärr så ville ju inte alls solen titta fram när jag hade det här på naglarna vilket är väldigt synd för jag tror att det här är magiskt i solsken. Nu är det väldigt fint ändå måste jag säga. Ännu ett sånt där lack som är diskret men ändå så mycket extra på något sätt.

Penseln är av det lite plattare bredare slaget vilket passar mig alldeles ypperligt. Det här var mycket trevligt att måla med och torkade fort. Jag har tre lager på. Det kanske hade räckt med två, men då får man lite VNL vilket jag inte ville ha. Ett lager med topplack över också.

Jag gillar verkligen det här lacket. Nu ska ju det här få en att tänka på katter, men jag tänker lika mycket på en gnistrande vacker vinterdag eller på en gnistrande vacker bröllopsklänning för den delen. Klart godkänt från min sida.

I have had the honor to test two new collections from our Swedish Indie Brand Purrfect Pawlish which will be released on the 6th of March and I really appreciate this opportunity. As far as I know know, there are no more Swedish Indie Brands that are realesing collections and is sold online, but I could be wrong and please tell me by leaving a comment if that's so.

There are two collections that will be released that day and today I show you one of them called I <3 My Cat. It consists of two polishes that is meant to be used together. As you may already have understood the creator of Purrfect Pawlish is a cat lover and much of the inspiration comes from her own cats.

The first is called Soft and Fluffy and is a silver-white shimmering polish with a subtle holographic effect as well. Unfortunately I was not able to take any outdoor photos of this when I had this on my nails, which is really a shame because I think this will look magic in the sunshine. Well it's very nice nonetheless I must say. Yet one of those polishes that is discreet yet so very extraordinary in some way.

The brush is a little flatter and wider one which suits me just excellent. This was very nice to paint with and dried quickly. I have three layers on. It might have been enough with two, but then you get a little VNL which I did not want. I also have a layer of top coat on.

I really like this polish. This is supposed to make you think of a fury cuddly cat, but for me it makes me think just as much on a sparkling beautiful winterday with snow or on a amazingly beautiful wedding dress for that matter. I really do like this polish.

Lack nummer två i kollektionen heter Divine Cat och är en glittertopper bestående av en klar bas med silvriga glitter hexagoner i olika storlekar och lila glitter i form av katthuvuden.

Tanken är att man ska kunna ha detta ovanpå Soft And Fluffy så självklart testade jag på det viset. Jag hade faktiskt inte så särskilt höga förväntningar, tyckte nästa det var synd att lägga glitter över Soft And Fluffy, men jag hade fel. För visst var det lite som med de allra flesta glitterlacken att dom där små katthuvudena fick man fiska lite efter, men resten spred ut sig utan några problem på nageln. Torktiden var det inte heller något fel på. Helt ok.

Men vad fint det blev! Jag har två lager av Divine Cat och ett lager topplack. Problemet blev att få fram det här på foto. Jag har fotograferat i typ fem olika omgångar och är inte nöjd ändå. För det här är så mycket finare i verkligheten måste ni förstå.

Jag var rädd att det skulle ta bort effekten på Soft And Fluffy, men nej, det blev faktiskt helt tvärtom. Det blev en alldeles lagom glittrighet som jag verkligen gillade. Kul lack tycker jag.

The second polish in this collection is called Divine Cat and is a glitter topper consisting of a clear base with silver glitter hexagons in different sizes and purple glitter in the form of cat heads.

The idea is to use this on top of Soft and Fluffy so obviously I tested them that way. I didn't actually had that  high expectations, because I think Soft and Fluffy is such a beauty that it almost feels a bit bad to put anything on top of that, but I was wrong. Ok this worked just as so many other glitter polishes I did have to fish a bit to get the larger catheads out of the bottle, but I don't see that as a big problem since the rest of the glitter spread without any problems on th nail. The drying time was normal and I have a layer of top coat over.

This turned out soo good! I have two layers of Divine Cat over Soft And Fluffy. The biggiest  problem that I found with this combination is to get it to show on a photo how very nice this really is. I have photographed in like five different times using different lightning and different settings on the camera and is not really happy anyway. Because this is so much nicer in reality you have to  understand.

I was afraid it would remove the effect of Soft and Fluffy, but no, it was actually quite the opposite. It became just the right amount of glitter to increase the effect of both the polishes. I really like how it turned out an fun polish in my eyes. 

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Candies

Idag är temat julgodis och jag har gjort en väldigt traditionell julgodis manikyr. Fast jag kan inte precis påstå att polkagrisar är så traditionellt när det gäller svenskt julgodis. Men jag gjorde ischocklad naglar förra året och det fick räcka.

Basen är Zoya Purity jag använde mig av Nail Vinyls och så Powder Perfect With My High Heels on för att lägga till det röda. En lite fastare röd hade nog inte skadat för det blev lite rinnigt, men helt ok ändå tycker jag.

Vad är ert favoritgodis till jul?

Today the theme is Christmas Candies and I have made a very traditional Christmas candie manicure. Though I can not exactly say that candy canes are very traditional when it comes to Swedish Christmas candies though. But I did ischocklad nails last year and I think one time is enough.

The base is Zoya Purity I used Nail Vinyls and Powder Perfect With My High Heels on to add the red. A little firmer red would probably been better because this had a tendensy to run a bit after I've taken the Nail Vinyls off. Well is still think this turned out quite ok.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Snow or Snowflakes

Dag två i Winter Nail Art Challenge ägnas åt Snö och snöflingor. Jag tror att det kan varit på Instagram som jag såg en manikyr gjord med dry brush teknik som jag var sugen på att testa. Och just till det här temat passade den utmärkt. 

Basen är Essie No More Film. Dry Brush går ut på att du doppar penslen ner i lacket och drar sen av nästan allting mot flaskkanten så borsten är nästan torr. Sen drar du den nästan torra penslen på utvalda ställen på din nagel för att få en penseldragseffekt helt enkelt. Enkelt och kul.

Nu var ju temat Snö och för att få det här mer till en snöstorm så plussade jag på lite prickar för att illustrera snöflingor. 

Jag tyckte det här blev en kul effekt och kommer absolut prova igen. 

Day two of the Winter Nail Art Challenge is devoted to Snow or snowflakes. I think it may have been on Instagram that I saw a manicure done with dry brush technique I was eager to try. And for this theme I thought it would work excellent.

The base is Essie No More Film. Dry Brush is simple explained that you dip the brush into the polish and then you drag almost all the polish of against the bottleneck so that the brush is almost dry. Then drag the almost dry brush at selected points on your nail to get a brush stroke effect. Easy and fun.

Now the theme is snow and to get this more into a blizzard I added some dots to illustrate snowflakes.

United In Pink & Reader's Choice - Mentality Sly

Näe mamma det där var det lamaste, fulaste jag sett på länge. Rikitgt fult faktiskt! Jaha, tack för den älskade unge. Här tycker man att man gjort en riktigt häftig manikyr som man själv är sjukt nöjd med. Ska bara visa den för yngste avkomman som då brister ut i ovanstående!

Förra veckan röstade ni med ganska stor övertygelse fram Mentality Sly som vinnare av omröstningen. Sly har jag tidigare visat både på egen hand och som stamping lack och tanken var faktiskt att göra en stamping med det över vitt, men i sista sekund blev jag sugen på att istället använda mig av mina Nail Vinyls och göra något helt annat. 

Jag gjorde alltså som så att jag grundade med Barielle Enduring topplack på det som fick torka riktigt ordentligt, satte på vinyls och la sen ett lager av Mentality Sly över. Tog bort mallarna innan lacket hade torkat och voila färdig! Eller nej, för jag har topplack över alltihopa också. 

Sly är ett skarpt rosa lack med mycket lilaktigt skimmer i och lite holo också faktiskt. Jag gillar det riktigt mycket. Både färgen och det faktum att det är väldigt trevligt att jobba med. 

Hoppas att ni gillar manikyren något bättre än vad min son gjorde denna näst sista dag av United In Pink. 

Glöm inte att rösta på lack till nästa vecka. Och nej han har inte fått välja utan min jobbarkompis fick agera slumpgenerator. 

Nooo mom that was the lamest, ugliest I've seen in a long time. Actually really ugly! Well, thanks for those kind word my beloved kid. I was so satisfied with my manicure and thought it turned out very cool I just wanted to show my youngest offspring which then bursts out the above words! 

Last week, you voted Mentality Sly as the winner of the poll. I have previously shown Sly both on it's own and as stamping polish and the idea was actually to make a stamping manicure with it over white, but at the last second I was tempted to instead use my Nail Vinyls and do something completely different. 

I put Barielle Enduring as the base applied a layer of topcoat and let it dry completely before I put on vinyls and a layer of  Mentality Sly over. Removed the vinlys before the polish had dried and voila done! Or no, because I have a layer of topcoat over the whole thing too. 

Sly is a bright pink polish with very much shimmer lening towards purple in it and a little holo too actually. I like it a lot. Both the color and the fact that it is very nice to work with. 

Hope you like the manicure a bit better than what my son did this penultimate day of United In Pink.

United In Pink - China Glaze Pom Pom

Det är tredje året som jag är med i ett rosa tema och även tredje året i rad som jag gör en rosa bandet manikyr. I år blev det en glittrig variant med hjälp av China Glaze Pom Pom och Barielle Enduring.

Tanken var faktiskt inte alls att göra ett rosa band med hjälp av dom här lacken, nä jag skulle göra en gradient, men hade inte testat innan om Pom Pom skulle funka till det eller inte. Kan säga att det hade säkert funkat om jag svampat på det, men jag tänkte göra som vanligt och lägga en rand lack längst ut på nageln och dra en gradient med penseln och det blev inget bra.

Nä, istället fick det bli rosa glitternaglar och en accentnagel. Och det blev ju inte så tokigt det heller. Eftersom Barielle Enduring redan satt på så blev det två lager Pom Pom över det.

Idag vill jag också ta upp ett väldigt viktigt ämne, nämligen hur viktigt det faktiskt är att känna igenom sina egna bröst. Säger hon som faktiskt är väldigt slarvig med detta, men jag vet att det faktiskt kan göra skillnad och göra så att man får hjälp i tid istället för att det ska upptäckas vid en mammografi.

Vet ni inte hur man ska göra finns det utmärkta instruktioner på nätet. Bl.a den här från 1177. Så lova mig nu att ni alla därute faktiskt gör det här. Jag lovar att jag ska i alla fall.

This is the third year that I participate in a pink theme during October and also the third year in a row that I make a pink ribbon manicure. This year it became a sparkly variant using China Glaze Pom Pom and Barielle Enduring.

The idea was actually not at all to make a pink ribbon with these two polishes, nah, I was going to do a gradient, but had not tried if Pom Pom would work for it or not before I started. Well I guess it would have worked if I had sponged it, but I was going to do as usual and add a stripe of polish at the tip of the nail and draw a gradient with the brush and no, it didn't go so well.

Nah, instead it had to be pink glitter nails and an accent nail. And it did not turn out so bad either. Since Barielle Enduring already was painted on the nails I did two layers of Pom Pom over that.

Today I want to address a very important topic, namely how important it actually is to do a self exam of your breasts. Says she that actually is very sloppy with this, but I know that it can actually make a difference and by doing so you can get help in time rather than for it to be detected by mammography later on.

Do not you know how to do this? There are excellent instructions online. Among others this from breastcancer.org so promise me now that you all are actually gonna do this. I promise I will anyway.
