Nail Art Sunday 26/2

Idag fyller mitt barn år! Hela 19 år blir "lillkillen" i huset.

Och det firar jag med att lägga ut mitt bidrag till denna veckans Nail Art Sunday. Den här gången har jag använt Depend O2 5050 Cotton Candy som bas. Jag var inte speciellt förtjust i det här lacket, men med lite hjälp av ett mönster från ÜberChic 6-01 som jag stämplade dit med Models Own Chrome Mauve blev det ju riktigt fint.

Hoppas ni får en fin söndag och att det blir många deltagare denna söndagen.

Today is my sons birthday! His 19th birthday, but he will always be my "little" son :)

And I celebrate by posting this weeks Nail Art Sunday manicure. This time I have used Depend O2 5050 Cotton Candy as a base. I was not particularly fond of this polish, but with a little help from a pattern from UberChic 6-01 stamped with Models Own Chrome Mauve it became really nice.

Reader's Choice - Cadilacquer Little Fish

Idag ska vi fira sonen som fyller år imorgon med släkten, så förmiddagen har ägnats åt städning. Ska strax åka och hämta stora sonen med sambo vid tåget :)

Dagen till ära har jag mitt första Cadillacquer på naglarna. Ett trevligt första möte må jag säga. Lacket ni valde åt mig heter Little Fish och det har en blå holobas som också har en massa glitter i sig. En sån kombo kan antingen bli riktigt bra eller tjock och klumpig. Den här är bra, alldeles utmärkt faktiskt. Det tar tre lager för att bygga upp full täckning, men eftersom lacket är smidigt att jobba med och torkar fort är det inga problem. Det torkar lite matt och med något ojämn yta så topplack är att rekommendera.

Basfärgen drar lite åt jeansblått och det tycker jag riktigt mycket om. Som helhet så tycker jag att det här lacket är snyggt, men jag tror inte det kommer bli en favorit faktiskt.

Det är glittertema på omröstningen för nästa veckas lack.

Our family will come over to our house tonight to celebrate our son's birthday, well it's actually tomorrow but it's always nice to get together on a Saturday evening. I will go and pick up our oldes son with partner at the trainstation very soon. 

To mark the occasion, I have my first Cadillacquer on the nails. A nice first meeting, I must say. The polish you chose for me is called Little Fish and it has a blue holobase and also a lot of glitter in it. That combo can either be really good or thick and clumsy. This is one of the good ones. It takes three layers to build up full coverage, but because the polish is easy to work with and dries quickly, it's no problem. It dries a bit dull and with a slightly uneven surface to topcoat is recommended.

The base color draws towards denim and that is something I like a lot. As a whole, I think this polish is neat, but I don't think it will become a favorite.

I decided to have a glitter theme on the polishes for the next weeks poll.

Depend O2 - 5050 Cotton Candy

Någon gång under denna veckan släpper Depend O2 sin Limited Edition kollektion Candy Craves. En kollektion bestående av 8 stycken olika skira lack med diskret glitter i.

Idag visar jag det riktigt ljust lila som kallas för Cotton Candy. När jag redan börjat måla med det här läste jag att det gjorde sig bäst över ett vitt lack och det är förmodligen helt rätt. Det är väldigt skirt och på tre lager täcker det visserligen rätt bra, men inte helt. Jag upplevde att lagren inte var supersnabba att torka faktiskt. Man bör också vara rätt försiktig när man målar med det här och se till att lägga raka fina penseldrag. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Ljust lila är ju fint, glitter eller mer skimmer om jag får säga min åsikt är ju också fint, men jag kan faktiskt inte tycka att det här lacket är något vidare alls. Men, det kan säkert vara bra mycket bättre över ett vitt lack. Eller varför inte över ett annat ljust lila.

Sometime during this week Depend O2 will release their limited edition collection Candy Craves. A collection consisting of 8 pieces of sheer polishes with subtle glitter.

Today I show you the very light purple called Cotton Candy. When I had already begun to paint with this, I read that it looked the best over a white polish and it is probably quite right. It's very sheer, I think that after three layers, that is what I have on the photos, it covers pretty good. I felt that the layers didn't dry superfast. You should also be pretty careful when painting with this and be sure to do straight fine strokes with the brush. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

Bright purple polishes are nice, glitter or shimmer more if I may say my opinion is of course also fine, but I can't actually get myself to think that this polish is nice at all. However, it can certainly be a lot better over a white polish or why not over another bright purple.

 

OPI - Living On The Bula-vard!

Jag gillar starka orangefärgade lack, men jag är inte förtjust i korallfärgade lack. OPI Living On the Bula-vard! kändes är något mer orange i verkligheten än på mina bilder vill jag först och främst påpeka.

Vi kan väl börja med hur det var att jobba med. För mig är OPIs krämlack säkra kort, men jag upplevde tyvärr inte att det här var det riktigt. Första lagret blev riktigt strimmigt och fult och jag var faktiskt inte helt nöjd på andra heller så jag har tre lager och topplack på. Visst i slutändan blev resultatet jämt och fint, men det var inte riktigt den vanliga kvalitén som jag på något sätt förväntar mig av den här kombon. Torktiden var i alla fall bra.

Och då åter till färgen. Jag är helt säker på att det är är supersnyggt när man fått sig lite solbränna. Det är helt ok nu också och faktum är att jag tycker bra mycket bättre om det här idag än när jag målade med det igår kväll. Då kändes det mycket mer korallfärgat än vad det gör i mer dagsljus idag. Så i slutändan tycker jag så här. Kul färg, men, den hade gärna fått vara ännu mer åt det oranga hållet.

I like strong orange polishes, but I'm not fond of coral colored polishes. First of all I want to point out that OPI Living on the Bula-vard! is slightly more orange in reality than in my pictures, 

Let's start with what it was like to work with. For me OPIs cremes are safe bets, but unfortunately I felt this didn't really live up to that standard. The First layer became really streaky and ugly and I was not entirely happy on the second one either so I have three coats and top coat on. Sure, in the end the result was smooth and nice, but it was not quite the usual quality that I somehow expect of this combo. The drying time was good.

And then back to the color. I'm quite sure that this will be super neat when you got a little sunburn. It's an OK polish and I like it so much better today than I did yesterday when I painted with it. It looked so much more coral last night than it does right now. So my verdict is: Fun color but I would have liked it more if it had been even more orange. 

Zoya - Dream

Det här lacket som jag visar idag har blivit en klassiker bland blåa lack. Dock vill jag fortfarande påstå att L.A Girl 3D Brilliant Blue kom före det här och alltså är det Zoya som gjort en dupe på Brilliant Blue och inte tvärtom. Men L.A Girl går inte att få tag på längre, men det gör Zoya lacket.

Jag har Brilliant Blue också, men kunde ändå inte låta bli att köpa det här för det är ju så otroligt vackert och tänk om min fina flaska med lack skulle ta slut och jag inte fick tag på ett liknande, nä sånt får ju inte hända.

Min kärlek till Zoya består och det här täcker på två lager som torkar fort. På bilderna har jag topplack på och det rekommenderar jag att man har för även om det är fint utan så framhäver topplacken glittret i det här lacket väldigt bra.

Kan man låta bli att älska det här? Inte jag i alla fall. Det är sjukt snyggt och jag hoppas att det gav mig lite tur för jag bar nämligen det här på en jobbintervju.

This polish that I show you today has become a classic among blue polishes. However, I would still say that L.A. Girl 3D Brilliant Blue came before this and therefore it's Zoya that is a dupe of Brilliant Blue, and not vice versa. But the L.A Girl polish is really hard to find, but Dream isn't.

I have Brilliant Blue as well, but still could not help myself and had to have Zoya Dream as well. Both these are so incredibly beautiful and what if my nice bottle of polish would end and I couldn't get a similar. That would be almost a disaster but now I don't have to worry about that. 

My love for Zoya is standing strong and this covers in two layers that dries quickly. In the pictures I have topcoat over and I recommend that you have that even if it is nice without, but the topcoat enhances the glitter in this polish very much.

I don't think you can resist loving this polish. At least not me anyway. It's so so beautiful and I hope it gave me some luck because I wore it on a job interview.
