OPIs höstkollektion Washington DC är högaktuell och jag visar ännu ett lack från den idag.

Freedom of Peach är precis som övriga lack i kollektion ett krämlack. Och precis som dom andra lacken jag provat så var första lagret lite strimmigt, men två lager, sen var det klart och det var ändå bra att jobba med. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Peach tycker jag inte är helt rätt, hade nog faktiskt inte velat äta en persika med den här färgen. För mig känns det som jag har fått en kolasmet på naglarna. Och kola är ju gott, men jag är inte helt förtjust i det här lacket. Det är något med färgen som inte tilltalar mig. Däremot kan jag mycket väl se det här i någon typ av höst nail art eller skittle med de andra bruntonade lacken från kollektionen.

OPIs Autumn Collection Washington DC is very topical right now and I will show yet another polish from it today.

Freedom of Peach is just like the rest of the polishes in the collection a cream polish. And just like the others that I tried my experience is that  the first layer becomes a bit streaky, but number two does the trick. But it's not hard to work with at all. The drying time was good and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

Peach, hm I don't think that is quite right. I would probably not eat a peach with this color. For me it feels like I have a toffee batter on the nails. And toffee is really nice, but I'm not fond of this polish. There is something about the color that doesn't appeal to me. However, I can very well see this in any type of fall nail art or skittle with the other brown tinted polishes from the collection.

 

Nail Art Sunday & NCC

Välkommen till ännu en Nail Art Sunday som jag i vanlig ordning kombinerar med The Nail Challenge Collaborative.

Denna veckan finns det inget tema, men eftersom vi kör på Skördetider i NCC så har jag valt att göra en nail art utefter det.

Basen är gårdagens Native War Paints Patty O'Green, som jag sen stämplat med ett äppelmönster från Fab Ur Nails nr 3. Efter det fyllde jag i vissa av dom små äpplena med OPI Big Apple Red.

Kanske inte den vackraste manikyren jag gjort, men jag gillar den ändå på något sätt.

This week there is no theme on Nail Art Sunday, but because we are running the Harvest Times theme in NCC I have chosen to make a nail art along that.

The base is yesterday's Native War Paints Patty O'Green, which I then stamped with an apple pattern from Fab Ur Nails No. 3. After I filled in some of the small apples with OPI Big Apple Red.

Maybe not the most beautiful manicure I've done, but somehow I still like it.

Reader's Choice - Native War Paints Patty O'Green

Vilket underbart väder det är! Vi ska fira sonen som fyllde år för ett tag sedan, men har inte varit hemma sen dess, så här blir lite fikagäster.

Men självklart blir det även ett inlägg med läsarnas val. Den här är veckan kör vi riktigt färgglatt med Native War Paints Patty O'Green.

Neongrönt med ett ganska diskret, men ändå närvarande rött skimmer. Jag valde att inte måla med vitt först, vilket kanske var ett dumt val. Tre lager fick jag ta och de två första blev rätt strimmiga, men ändå tycker jag att det täcker riktigt bra i slutändan. Torktiden var bra och som vanligt har jag topplack på bilderna.

Man kan inte låta bli att gilla en sån här färg. Man blir helt enkelt glad av den. Skimret är diskret, men jag tycker att det gör något extra med lacket. Helt klart ett höjdarlack.

Färgglatt idag, men till nästa vecka har ni svarta lack att rösta på.

What a wonderful weather it is! Our son had his birthday in the end of August, but since he doesn't live here this is the first time we'll have the opportunity to celebrate him so we will have some guest over for an afternoon cup of coffe.

But of course it will also be a post with readers' choice. This week I have something really colorful from Native War Paints to show you. And the name of the polish is Patty O'Green.

Neon green with a fairly discreet, but still present red shimmer. I chose not to paint with white first, which was perhaps a foolish choice. I needed three layers and the first two were a bit streaky, but still I think it covers really well in the end. The drying time was good and as usual, I have a topcoat on in the pictures.

One can not help but to like this kind of color. It will simply makes you happy. The shimmer is subtle, but I think it does something extraordinary with the polish. For me this is a great polish.

Colourful today, but for the next week you have black polishes to vote for.

ILNP - Closure

Då var det fredag igen och jag ska bege mig till Linköping för att hämta hem äldsta sonen.

Men här på bloggen ska självklart också fredagen firas in med ett fint lack från ILNP.

Det här är Closure som på tillverkarens egna sida beskrivs som äppelröd, det tyckte inte jag alls först eftersom äpplen i mina ögon är mycket rödare. Det här drar lite mer åt det rosa hållet tycker jag, men sen kom jag och tänka på ett foto jag tog för några dagar sen och ändrade mig lite för dom äpplena är ju inte alls knallröda. Fotot finns under lackbilderna.

I alla fall var det trevligt att jobba med. Ganska tjock formula, vilket jag gillar. Två lager räcker och på bilderna har jag topplack på. Torktiden var bra.

Jag tycker det här är riktigt snyggt. Det finns en bra holo i lacket som givetvis är ett plus. Men jag kan ändå säga att jag hade inte tyckt det varit fel om det varit lite mer rött än vad det är.

So it's Friday again and I'll will take a trip to Linköping to give my eldest son a ride home.

And you will also get a nice polish to celebrate the Friday here on my blog. The polish is Closure from ILNP.

At ILNPs own page Closure is described as apple red. At first I thought that was all wrong because in my eyes apples are much more red. I think draws a lot more to the pink side, but then I came to think of a photo I took a few days ago and changed my mind a bit. Those apples aren't that red at all. The photo is beneth the polish photos.

In any case, it was nice to work with. Quite thick formula, which I like. Two layers is enough and in the images I have topcoat on. The drying time was good.

I think this is really neat. There is a good holoeffect in the polish, which of course is a plus. But I can honestly say that I wouldn't have minded a bit more redish tone in it than what it is now.

Smitten Polish - Aer Opal v2

Idag blir det ett lack som jag misstänker har tappat lite färg, för jag är rätt säker på att det ska vara mera lila än vad det är.

Aer Opal v2 är som namnet säger version 2 av detta lacket för det första ändrade färg totalt och min flaska som jag har av den är ny neonrosa, vilket jag i och för sig tycker är rätt fräckt. V2 ska vara lila, men jag vill nog påstå att den här också är mer åt det rosa hållet nu.

Lacket består av en jellybas med flakies som skiftar i alla möjliga färger. Som en pärla ungefär. Det var underbart att måla med och två lager räcker nog egentligen, men jag har tre för att förstärka färgen lite. På bilderna har jag topplack på vilket jag tycker är nödvändigt då det får flakiesarna att skifta färg mycket mer.

Alltså visst hade det varit trevligt med ett lila lack med flakies, men jag tycker ändå att det här är väldigt fint.

Today there will be a polish which I suspect has fadede a bit, because I'm pretty sure that it should be more purple than it is.

Aer Opal v2 is as the name says version 2 of this polish because the first totally changed color and my bottle I have of that version is now neon pink, which I think is pretty cool, but v2 should be purple, but I want to state that this is also more to the pink direction now.

The polish consists of a jellybase with flakies shifting in all possible colors. Kind of like a pearl. It was wonderful to paint with two coats is enough for coverage, but I have three to enhance the color a little bit. In the pictures I have topcoat on and I think that is necessary as it makes the flakies stand out a bit more.

So certainly it would have been nice with a purple polish with flakies, but I still think this is very nice.

 

Depend 496 & 497

Idag är det grön onsdag hos Karin och jag kunde inte låta bli att dyka rakt ner i Depends Glam Rock kollektion.

Först målade jag med det mörkt gröna 497 som är ett krämlack som täcker på två lager. På med ett lager topplack och lät det torka riktigt ordentligt.

Efter det la jag på mallar från Depend och målade delar av naglarna med 496 som också är ett riktigt mörkt grönt lack, men med microglitter och flakies i. Nu la ju jag det över ett annat lack, men jag har svårt att tänka mig att det behövs mer än två lager av det här heller.

Över hela härligheten har jag ett lager topplack vilket behövs då 497 torkade väldigt matt. Bägge de här lacken tilltalar mig enormt mycket. Älskar den murriga gröna färgen och glittret i 496. Två favoriter får jag nog lov att säga.

Today it's green Wednesday at Karins and I could not help but to dive straight into Depends Glam Rock collection.

First I painted with the dark green 497 which is a cream polish covering in two layers. On that one layer of top coat that I let dry really well.

After that I put on templates from Depend and painted parts of the nails with 496 which is also a really dark green polish, but with micro glitter and flakies in. I have this over another polish but I really do belive that you don't need more than two layers of this either. 

I finished with another layer of topcoat since 497 actually dries very matte. Both of these paint appeals to me enormously. Love this kind of dark green polishes and the glitter in 496. I only have praise to say about these. 

 

Depend Autumn 2016 - Glam Rock bottleshots

Igår dök ytterligare en höstkollektion ner i min brevlåda. Denna gången är det Depends Glam Rock kollektion och det här är den kollektionen som kommer finnas tillgänglig på bl.a ICA, Lindex och Hm fr.o. m vecka 37.

12 lack varav 11 är nya och 419 är ett lack som fanns med i höstkollektionen 2014. Ett lack som är väldigt likt Chanel Taboo om än inte dupes. Jag tycker i alla fall att just det här lacket är ok att släppa igen. Övriga lack ser också riktigt fina ut. Det är många av dom här som jag ser fram emot att prova.

Dessutom har flaskorna fått en ny och lite fräschare look.

Yesterday another autumn collection landed in my mailbox. This time it was Depends Glam Rock collection that will be available here in Sweden at ICA, Lindex and HM around week 37.

12 polishes, 11 new and also a re-launch of number 419 that first came out in the autumn collection in 2014. A polish that has a lot of similarity with Chanel Taboo, not dupes but very much alike. So for me it feels perfectly ok to have this in a collection again. This whole collection looks really nice and I look forward to try a lot of these polishes. 

And the bottles has gotten a new fresh design. 

Curali stamping plates 001 & 012

Idag blir det återigen manikyrer med mönster från Curali Stamping plattor som Katarina på Edgy Polish skickat till mig.

Alla lack och plattor som använts i den här posten finns att köpa hos Edgy Polish.

Först ut är en manikyr från platta 012 XXL Boho. På denna plattan finns 12 mönster som är 20x15mm i storlek. Själva mönstret är väldigt detaljerat och jag hade lite problem med att få upp alla smådetaljer, men det ska tilläggas att jag inte tror att det beror på etsningen utan på att jag så gärna ville ha ett guldmönster och därför använde Models Own Chrome Gold ett lack som funkar väldigt bra till stamping, men man får vara snabb som tusan med stämpeln för att det torkar urfort och där i ligger problemet med smådetaljerna.

Basen är Il Etait Un Vernis Pinot Noir och som sagt har jag stämplat med Models Own Chrome Gold. Trots att några smådetaljer uteblev tycker jag ändå att det blev en vacker manikyr.

Today I have another review of Curali stamping plates that Katarina from Edgy Polish sent to me.

All polishes and plates used in this post are available at Edgy Polish.

First up is a manicure from the plate 012 XXL Boho on this plate there is 12 patterns that is 20x15mm in size. The pattern is very detailed and I had a little trouble picking up all the small details, but I do want to add that I don't think it depends on the etching but because I so badly wanted a gold pattern and therefore used Models Own Chrome Gold a polish that works very well for stamping, but you must be fast as hell with the stamp because it dries soo fast and that is the problem here. 

The base is Il Etait Un Vernis Pinot Noir and as I said I stamped with Models Own Chrome Gold. Although some small details did not occur, I feel that it still became a beautiful manicure.

Nästa manikyr är gjord med mönster från platta 001 Beautiful Bird, en platta med mönster som inte är exakt avdelade utan du kan själv välja hur du vill matcha och mixa vad som finns där.

Jag hittade en liten del av plattan med två mönster som antingen går att använda var för sig eller ihop som jag har gjort och då ser det ut som att ett av mönstren är en bård till det andra.

Basen är Appeal4 Baby Palm Tree som jag stämplat med Models Own Chrome Green.

Lacken och plattorna finns som sagt hos Edgy Polish.

Next manicure are made with designs from the plate 001 Beautiful Bird, a plate with patterns that is not exactly divided, but you can choose how you want to match and mix what's there.

I found a small part of the plate with two designs that either can be used separately or together as I have done and then it looks like one of the patterns is a welt to the other.

The base is Appeal4 Baby Palm Tree and I stamped with Models Own Chrome Green.

All the polishes and the plates are, as I said available at Edgy Polish.

Sammanfattningen om de här plattorna är att dom är väl etsade, har många fina mönster, helt ok priser. Allt som allt är jag riktigt nöjd med dom och kan absolut tänka mig att fylla på lagret. Vet att det finns en platta till med julmotiv som hägrar lite.

To sum it all up I would say that the plates are well etched, has a lot of pretty patterns, a pretty nice price. All in all I'm really pleased with them and could definitly imagine getting more from this brand. I do know that there is another plate with christmas patterns that I wouldn't mind owning. 

Curali stamping plates 013 & 014

Katarina på Edgy Polish kontaktade mig och frågade om jag inte ville testa några av de nya stamping plattorna från Curali som hon fått in till butiken. Självklart ville jag det. Nya märken och nya plattor är alltid lika kul.

Det finns lite olika varianter på storlekarna och utförandet av mönstren på de här plattorna. Vissa är mönster som täcker hela plattan och där man själv får leka fram hur man vill använda de olika mönstren, plattorna med de klassiska rektangulära mönstren har lite olika storlekar beroende på vilken platta man har. Det finns plattor med 18, 15 och 12 mönster. På de med 18 olika mönster är varje motiv 17x14mm och på de med 15 mönster är storleken 17x21mm

Etsningen är mycket bra och det är lätt att plocka upp mönstret. Plattorna kostar 69 kronor styck och finns hos Edgy Polish.

Idag får ni se manikyrer från först platta 013 Winter Trendy som egentligen nog är tänkt som julmönster, men jag kunde inte låta bli dom små söta renarna så det blir en vintermanikyr en strålande höstdag som denna.

Lacken jag använt till denna manikyren är: Appeal4 Magical Sea-Lion, A-England Merlin och stämplat har jag gjort med Models Own Chrome Silver. Tyvärr glömde jag fota plattan innan jag använde den, därav den något lite dåliga bilden.

Katarina on Edgy Polish contacted me and asked if I wanted to test some of the new stamping plates from Curali that she has started to sell in the webstore. And of course I said yes. New brands and new plates are always fun.

There are some variations in the sizese and performance of the patterns on these plates. Some are patterns that cover the whole plate and where you can play on how to use the different patterns. There are also plates with the classic rectangular patterns, but they have slightly different sizes, depending on the plate you have. There are plates with 18, 15 and 12 patterns. On the plate with18 different patterns each design are 17x14mm and on the onces with 15 patterns, the size is 17x21mm

The etching is very good and it is easy to pick up the pattern. You can buy these plates from Edgy Polish and the price is 69 SEK.

Today you will see two manicures the first from plate 013 Wiinter Trendy wich is actually probably intended as Christmas pattern, but I could not resist those cute little reindeers so it became a winter manicure a brilliant autumn day like this.

The polishes that  I used for this manicure is: Appeal4 Magical Sea Lion, A-England Merlin and I have stamped with Models Own Chrome Silver. Unfortunaly I forgot to take a picture of the plate before I used it.

Och så har vi då manikyr nummer två som jag gjort med mönster från platta 014 Chevron där jag använt mig av A-England Lady Of The Lake som bas och stämplat med MoYou London Party Pink.

Nail Art Sunday & NCC - Harvest Time

Jag passar på att köra både Nail Art Sunday och The Nail Challenge Collaborative idag. Temat för bägge är skördetid. Finns ju ganska många olika saker man kan skörda så det kan bli intressant att se vad folk hittar på.

Själv har jag valt ett klassiskt tema nämligen skörda säden. Basen är Smitten Polish Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? mönstret kommer från Mash 44 och jag har stämplat med Depend Metallic 4045 Back-beat Bronze.

Inte en manikyr som kanske sticker ut, men jag gillar den skarpt.

I take the opportunity to combine both Nail Art Sunday and The Nail Challenge Collaborative today. The theme of both is harvest time. There are quite a few different things you can harvest so it could be interesting to see how people interpreters this theme. 

I myself have chosen a classic theme namely, harvesting grain. The base is Smitten Polish Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? pattern comes from Mash 44 and I have stamped with Depend Metallic 4045 Back-beat Bronze.

Not a manicure that with a pattern that stands out, but I like it a lot.

Reader's Choice - Smitten Polish Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season?

Blev ett lite sent inlägg idag. Har varit och införskaffat lite grejer så jag kan göra höstfint här hemma och även fikat på stan med en kompis. Jo, jag jagade lite Pokemon också när jag ändå var där.

Men nu ska ni få se ett helt underbart lack och allt är er förtjänst eftersom det var ni som röstade fram Smitten Polish (nuvarande Dreamland Lacquer) Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? som veckans läsarnas val.

Lacket består av en orange jellybas med hur mycket microglitter som helst i. Det är förvånansvärt täckande och på mig räckte två lager. Torktiden var riktigt bra och formulan, ja den var helt perfekt.
På bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack på. Lacket torkar lite matt så topplack är absolut att föredra.

Alltså det här lacket är så nedrans vackert. En varm härligt pumpafärgad glittrande juvel, det är vad det är minsann. Om jag tycker om det? Men hur kan ni tro något sådant ;)

Till nästa vecka blir det gröna lack att rösta på.

My post became a bit late today. Has been and acquired some stuff to make my home cozy for the autumn and took a coffee break with a good friend as well. Ok, I will admit that I did chase some Pokemon too.

But now you're going to see an absolutely wonderful polish and it's thanks to you because it was you who voted for Smitten Polish (current Dreamland Lacquer) Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? as this week's Readers' Choice.

The polish consists of an orange jellybase with so much micro glitter that it's almost crazy in it. It covers surprisingly well and for me two layers was enough. The drying time was really good and the formula, yes, it was absolutely perfect. As usual I have topcoat on in the pictures. It does dry a bit dull so I think topcoat is a must.

You guys, this polish is so crazy beautiful. A wonderfully warm pumpkin-colored sparkling jewel, that is what this is, indeed. If I like it? Whatever makes you believe that ;)

Depend O2 - 5043 Night Potion

Alltså jag älskar namnen på lacken i HOLO Fantasy kollektionen! Så nu har jag fått det sagt :)

Idag är det fredag och det innebär inofficiell holofredag hos Sminkan & Emma. Jag ville testa ännu ett av lacken från HOLO Fantasy och den här gången blev det 5043 Night Potion.

Night Potion är ett grafitgrått lack med en ganska svag holoeffekt, men ändå tillräckligt för att ge lacket djup. Två lager räcker även med detta lack. Verkar vara genomgående på alla i kollektionen. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är ju inte precis någon unik färg. Visst är den fin och jag trivs i den, men absolut inte någon favorit från kollektionen.

I just love the names of the polishes in the HOLO Fantasy collection! Now I said it :)

Today it's friday and that means unofficial holofriday at Sminkan & Emmas. I wanted to try out another polish from the HOLO Fantasy collection and this time it's 5048 Night Potion that I have on. 

Night Potion is a graphite grey polish with a nice but subtile holo. Still it does give the polish a lot of depth. Two coats is enough just as it has with the rest of the polishes I've tried so far from the collection. The drying time was good and on the pictures I have topcoat on. 

Well this isn't exactly a unique color but it sure is pretty and I do feel comfortable wearing it. But it's not a favorite from the collection. 

 

Depend O2 Autumn 2016 Rewind collection bottleshots

Häromdagen dök Depend O2s höstkollektion kallad Rewind ned i min postlåda.

12 lack som kommer finnas i butik vecka 37. Många fina höstfärger och en del olika finishar.
