The Nail Challenge Collaboration Presents- Spring Flowers #2

Det här är en manikyr som ni säkert sätt i olika variationer ganska många gånger vid det här laget, men det spelar ingen roll för just det här mönstret är så fint och går att variera så mycket så här får ni en variation till!

Eftersom jag blev så galet kär i A-England Crown Of Thistles ville jag inte skiljas så fort från det utan valde istället att göra en liten make over som dessutom skulle passa perfekt till Vårbloms temat i The Nail Challenge Collab.

En av mina absoluta favoritblommor är Tulpan. Jag älskar när dom börjar dyka upp i affärerna redan till jul och när dom sen står i blom utanför fönstret då är det vår så just den här manikyren var jag helt säker på att jag skulle göra i någon version till temat.

Mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro Plate Collection 08 och jag har stämplat det över Zoya Purity. Jag har sen använt Mentality Red-Purple och Green Glaze för att få lite färg på blommorna.

Jag älskar faktiskt den här manikyren. Skulle kunna bära den hur länge som helst!

This is a manicure that you probably have seen versions of quite a few times by now. But it doesn't matter for this particular design is so nice and can be varied in so many different ways.

Because I was so madly in love with A-England Crown Of Thistles I did not want to take it off so instead I chose to make a little make over which would also fit perfectly to the Spring Flower theme in The Nail Challenge Collab.

One of my favorite flowers are tulips. I love when they begin to appear in the shops already for Christmas and when they then are in bloom outside the window you can tell that the spring has come and that is one of the reasons I knew that this was a manicure I surely would do for the theme.

The pattern comes from MoYou London Pro Plate Collection 08 and I've stamped it over Zoya Purity. I have used Mentality Red-Purple and Green Glaze to get some color on the flowers.

I actually love this manicure. Could wear it forever!

A-England - Jane Morris

A-England har nyligen kommit ut med en ny kollektion som heter Rossetti's Goddess och jag har fått förmånen att testa två av lacken som Katarina från Edgy Polish har skickat till mig.

Om ni följt mig ett tag så vet ni att A-England är ett av mina favoritmärken. Varför? Jo, av den enkla anledningen att jag sällan blivit besviken på formulan på deras lack och förstås att det finns väldigt många vackra lack. 

Först ut att testas blev Jane Morris ett blyertsgrått lack med subtilt holo i. Jag lyckades att få det här att täcka på ett lager, men vill man ha lite mer hållbarhet kan det vara bra att lägga på ett till, men för täckningens skull behövs det inte. Torktiden var bra. Det torkar lite matt, så topplack är att föredra på. Och på mina bilder ser ni det med topplack.

Det här lacket har definitivt en färg som jag trivs utmärkt i. Det kanske inte är superunikt, men det fina holot i lacket ger det djup och lite mer karaktär än många andra liknande lack. 

Jag gillar det här skarpt och om du är sugen på det här eller många andra snygga A-England så har Edgy Polish fyllt på sin butik alldeles nyligen.

A-England have recently come out with a new collection called Rossetti's Goddess and I have had the privilege to test two of the polishes from that collection that Katarina from Edgy Polish have sent to me.

If you followed me for a while, you know that A-England is one of my favorite brands. Why? Well, for the simple reason that I have rarely been disappointed in the formula of their polihses and of course because there are very many beautiful polishes from the brand. 

First out to be tested is Jane Morris a steel gray polihs with subtle holo in. I managed to get this to cover in just one layer, but if you want a little more durability, it can be good to put on another one, but you wont need it for coverage. The drying time was good. It dries a bit dull, so topcoat is preferred. And in my pictures you can see it with topcoat.

This polish definitely has a color that I enjoy wearing. It may not be super unique but the fine holo effect in the polish gives it depth and a little more character than many other similar ones.

I like this a lot and if you are keen on this or some other stylish A-England polishes go to Edgy Polish that just had the store refilled. 

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Rainbow Honey Ruby Weapon

Vilket lack ni har valt till mig denna veckan! Det är länge sedan jag bar Rainbow Honey Ruby Weapon så jag hade glömt bort hur himla fint det här är.

Ruby Weapon är ett röd/orange lack med lite kopparaktigt skimmer i. Det var lite mörkt när jag satt och målade så jag tyckte inte två lager räckte utan la på ett tredje. Jag fick lite lack ner i nagelbanden, men jag misstänker att det mer berodde på att jag var lite trött och slarvig än på själva lacket.

På bilderna har jag topplack över också.

Det här är verkligen min färg. Så himla fint lyster i lacket och en perfekt rödorange enligt mig. Bra val hörrni!

Slumpgeneratorn har fått välja de lacken som inte är otestade till den här veckan och så valde jag ut ett otestat som jag tyckte kunde ge dom andra en match, så glöm inte att rösta.

Oh what a polish you have chosen for me this week! It's a long time since I wore Rainbow Honey Ruby Weapon so I had forgotten how very nice this is.

Ruby Weapon is a red / orange polish with a copper shimmer in it. It was a little dark when I sat down and painted so I didn't think two coats was enough and did a third one but I could have been wrong about that. I got some paint running down in the cuticles, but I suspect that more was because I was too tired and sloppy than on the actual polish.

In the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is really my color. It has such a gorgeous shine to it and a perfect red-orange color. You guys really chosed well!

The Random Number Generator has been choosing the polishes that is not untested for this weeks vote and I chose an untested which I thought could give the others a match so don't forget to vote.

Månadens tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Spring Flowers, alltså vårblommor. Manikyren som jag visar idag kanske inte är direkt en vårblomma, men jag tycker ändå att den passar på våren och därför bestämde jag att den funkar för temat.

Den här designen är en jag hittade i The Lacquerologist Idiot's Guides to Nail Art jag kan nog inte riktigt påstå att jag är supernöjd, det blev lite för tjocka svarta linjer, men för att vara ett första försök för en som inte är speciellt bra på frihanda saker så får jag ändå känna mig nöjd och glad.

Lacken jag använt är Zoya Purity, OPI Panda-Monium Pink och Milani Black Swift.

This months theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Spring Flowers. The Manicure that I show today might not exactly be a spring flower, but I still think that it fits in the spring and so I decided that it works for the theme.

This design is one I found in The Lacquerologist Idiot's Guides to Nail Art, I probably can't really say that I'm really happy whit it because the black lines got a little to thick, but to be a first attempt from someone who is not very good at freehand things I can still feel satisfied and happy.

The polishes I used is Zoya Purity, OPI Panda-Monium Pink and Milani Black Swift.

A-England - Crown Of Thistles

Äntligen sitter A-England Crown Of Thistles på mina naglar. Jag har velat ha det här lacket sen det kom ut i höstas, men av någon anledning så blev det inte förrän nu som det hamnade i min samling.

Crown Of Thistles är ett lila holografiskt lack. Det täcker utan problem på två lager och torkar fort. Jag har topplack över på fotona.

Det här är verkligen fint, ett sånt där lila lack som får mig att minnas varför just lila var min absolut favoritfärg på lack när jag började bli lacksamlare. Också ett lila lack som vill fastna på foto. Kanske inte perfekt som det ser ut i verkligheten, men faktiskt rätt nära utan att behöva fuska med fotona.

Holoeffekten är inte superstark, men oj vilket djup det faktiskt ger till lacket. Jag tror inte jag behöver skriva så mycket mer för att ni ska förstå hur himla fint jag tycker det här är. Det påminner mig också om varför jag tycker att A-England är ett av mina favoritmärken. Suveränt att måla med och vackert att titta på. En perfekt kombo alltså.

Finally A-England Crown Of Thistles is on my nails. I have wanted this polish since it came out last fall, but for some reason I didn't get it until now.

Crown Of Thistles is a purple holographic polish. It covers without trouble in two coats and dries quickly. I have a topcoat on in the photos.

This is really nice, one of those purple polish that makes me remember why purple was my absolute favorite color of polishes when started to become a polish collector. Also a purple polish who actually looks purple on photos. Maybe not perfectly as it looks in reality, but actually pretty near without having to cheat with the photos.

The holographic effect is not super strong, but oh what a depth it gives to the polish. I dontt think I need to write so much more for you to understand how amazingly nice, I think this is. It also reminds me of why I think A-England is one of my favorite brands. Superbly to paint with and beautiful to look at. A perfect combo according to me.

Pink gradient stamping!

Vad gör man då när man sitter där med ett lack som man målat på alla tio naglarna och inser att man inte alls tycker om. Jo, självklart så piggar man upp det hela med lite mönster.

I det här fallet så hittade jag mönstret på Infinity Nails platta 39 och valde att jag göra en gradient med hjälp av Mundo De Unas 70 Barbie, 15 Mexican Pink och 69 Tutti.

Och vips så har man en manikyr som inte alls är grå och tråkig utan riktigt trevlig. I alla fall enligt mig, men övrig familj hade andra åsikter!

What do you do when you are sitting there with a polish painted on all ten nails and realize that you don't really like it at all. Well, of course you give it a make over with some pattern on top.

In this case, I found the pattern from Infinity Nails plate 39 and chose to make a gradient using Mundo De Unas 70 Barbie, 15 Mexican Pink and 69 Tutti.

And suddenly you have a manicure that is not at all gray and dull but really nice. At least according to me, but my other family members had different opinions!

United In Grey!

Maj är det gråa bandets månad. Ett band som står för många olika sjukdomar, men för mig representerar det Hjärntumörer och Hjärncancer. Eftersom det här är ett viktigt ämne för mig ville jag även i år göra något typ av tema runt detta.

25-31/5 visar vi gråa manikyrer på våra Bloggar, Instragram konton, Pinterest eller på Facebook för att stödja kampen mot dessa sjukdomar.

I år kommer det inte att finnas inlinkz koder för varje dag i veckan utan istället använder vi oss av en och samma kod och bestämmer helt själva hur många manikyrer man vill vill visa. Detta för att vi ska kunna vara så många som möjligt som känner att man vill och orkar delta. Självklart går det att lägga till hur många manikyrer som helst från samma blogg eller Instagram i samma kod.

May is the grey ribbon month. A ribbon that stands for many different desiases, but for me it represents Brain Tumors and Brain Cancer. I wanted to repeat last years theme around this because this is an important subject for me, 

25-31th of May we show gray manicures on our blogs, Instragram accounts, Pinterest or Facebook to support the fight against these diseases.

This year there will be only one inlinkz code that you use the whole week you can of course add as many manicures as you which tho that code. It's completly up to you how many manicures you want to participate with. This is so that we can be as many as possible who feel that they have time and will be able to participate.

Mentality - Innuendo

Innuendo är en av Queens bästa skivor enligt mig, men tyvärr är det inte ett av Mentalitys bästa lack.

Nä, det här tyckte jag faktiskt inte om alls. En lite tråkig gråblaskig färg som jag tror ska vara något duochrome, men det syns absolut inte på naglarna. Istället syns det en massa penseldrag vilket är mindre attraktivt enligt mig.

Bra att måla med var det förvisso och två lager med helt ok torktid är vad som krävs. Ett lager med topplack har jag också på bilderna.

Det här var inget som jag tror kommer dyka upp här på bloggen igen förutom möjligen på en blogsale, tyvärr.

 

Innuendo is one of Queens best albums according to me, but unfortunately it's not one of Mentalitys best polishes.

I actually didn't like this at all. A boring grey color that I think is supposed to be a bit duochrome, but that absolutely doesn't show on the nails. Instead you get a lot of brush strokes, which are less attractive according to me.

It's good to paint with it and two layers with quite ok drying time is what is required. I also have a layer of topcoat in the pictures.

This is nothing that I think will show up here on the blog again except possibly on a blog sale, unfortunately.

Take The Brick!

Varför heter inlägget Take The Brick kan man ju undra. Finns en enkel förklaring på det faktiskt.

Lacket som är basen är OPI Take The Stage som jag sen har stämplat med Mundo De Unas 59 Brick så jag mixade helt enkelt ihop namnen på dom två.

Som vanligt blev jag sugen på lite stamping och med flera nya otestade MdU lack så blev det ett av dom som plockades fram. Jag kan säga att det är tur dom är så bra, för lukten är fruktansvärd. Jag målar aldrig med dom här utan öppet fönster längre.

I vilket fall som helst så blev det ett mönster från Mash platta 42 som jag valde. Måste nog säga att det blev en väldigt lyckad kombination det här.

You might wonder why this post is called Take The Brick. Well there is a simple explanation.

The polish that is the base is OPI Take the Stage and I stamped on top of that with Mundo De Unas 59 Brick so I simply mixed up the names of the two.

As usual, I was hungry for some stamping and with several new untested MDU polishes it was one of those who were picked up. I can say that it is fortunate that they are so good to stamp with because the smell is terrible. I never use these whitout having an open window anymore.

In any case, it became a pattern from Mash plate 42 that I chose. And I must say that it was a very successful combination. 

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - OPI Take The Stage

Lördag, städat, blivit av med ett skrivbord, besökt svärmor och nu blir det lite bloggande.

Lacket som ni valt åt mig idag är ett av mina första OPI och jag tror även ett mina första i orange som jag föll som en fura för. Och jag tycker fortfarande att det är lika fint faktiskt.

Det här är OPI Take The Stage ett lack som kom ut med Burlesque kollektionen 2010. Ett koppartonat orange lack med ett väldigt fint guldskimmer tror att det kan vara ett flakielack, men är inte helt säker då jag är rätt kass på dom där olikheterna, men det kändes som det när jag tog bort det tidigare idag. Jag har tre lager och topplack på bilderna. Det kan vara så att det räcker med två lager, men det var lite mörkt när jag satt och målade så jag vågade inte chansa. Torktiden var helt ok.

Jo, jag gillar det här lacket precis lika mycket idag som när jag köpte det. Ofta tycker jag att dom där tidiga köpen man gjorde och lack som man verkligen älskade då inte alltid är lika fina när man tar på dom igen, men det här är det. Dessutom matchar det makens nya bil också!

Saturday, cleaned the hosue, got rid of an old desk through an add, visited my mother in law and now some blogging.

The polish that you have chosen for me today is one of my first OPI:s and I think also my first orange that I really fell in love with. And I still think it is so beautiful.

This is OPI Take the Stage a polish that came out with the Burlesque collection in 2010. A copper toned orange polish with a very fine gold shimmer or maybe it's a flakie, but are not quite sure because I really suck at knowing the difference between all the different formulas, but it felt like a flakie when I removed it earlier today. I have three coats and top coat in the pictures. It might be enough with two layers, but it was a little dark when I sat down and painted so I did not dare to take a chance. The drying time was ok.

Well, I like this polish just as much today as when I bought it. Often, I find that those polishes you bought a long time ago ang that you really loved then not always is as nice when you take on them again, but this is. And it does match my husband's new car too!

Mentality - Matriarch

Åh vad skönt det är att vara ledig idag! Är så fruktansvärt trött efter en extremt intensiv jobbarvecka. Vädret är skit så vi funderar på att ta en liten tur till Ikea.

Men först tänker jag visa er ett lack som jag både tycker om och är lite besviken på. Det här är Mentality Matriarch ett mycket mörkt lila lack med ett diskret skimmer i. Lite Aubergin färgat kanske man kan säga.

Låt oss börja med det som jag gillar med det. För det första så är det fantastiskt smidigt att måla med. Matta lack behöver man vara ganska noga när man målar med för att det ska bli jämt och snyggt så om man är det räcker det nog med ett lager, men jag har två. Det är en väldigt snygg finish på det tycker jag.

Vad är det jag inte gillar då? Jo, jag tycker att färgen är lite väl mörk, det gör tyvärr att skimret döljs lite grann vilket är synd. Faktum är att det var just det jag inte gillade annars är det ett bra lack. Och det är ju inte precis en hemlighet att jag gillar Mentality som märke. Har sett trevliga neonnyheter därifrån som lär köpas av mig.

Oh how nice it is to be off from work today! I'm so terribly tired after an extremely intense working week. The weather is crap here so we are thinking about taking a little trip to Ikea.

But first I'm going to show you a polish that I both like and are a little disappointed in. This is Mentality Matriarch a very dark purple polish with a subtle shimmer. I guess you could say that it is Aubergine colored.

Let's start with what I like about it. Firstly, it is amazing easy to paint with. When you paint with matte polishes you need to be quite careful to get it even on the nails and if you are careful enogh it's with one coat, but I have two. It's a very nice finish on it, I think.

What is it I don't like then? Well, I think the color is a bit too dark, it unfortunately makes the shimmer hide a little bit which is a shame. In fact, it was just that I didn't like otherwise it is a good polish. And it's not exactly a secret that I like Mentality as a brand very much. I have seen nice neon news from them that I am pretty sure I will buy.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - 3d Annivarsary Recrations #4

Då var vi framme vid sista inlägget i månadens tema som var att återskapa en tidigare manikyr. Nästa månad är det vårblommor som gäller och det ser jag fram emot. Förslag på manikyrer mottages tacksam, så kommentera gärna.

Dom tre tidigare manikyrerna har jag valt att återskapa så nära originalet som möjligt, men den här blev det inte riktigt så med och detta helt med vilje. Jag hittade en manikyr som Tiffany på Polished To Precision gjorde på temat geometri. Hon hade ett rosa holo och accentnageln var gjord av en nailwrap, med ett geometriskt mönster.

Jag valde ett starkt rosa lack med lite holo i från Mentality och istället för nailwrap så blev det stämpling med ett mönster som är mycket likt originalet, men jag valde att ta det i samma färg som övriga naglar istället för vitt med grönt.

Lacken jag har använt är Mentality Sly och Zoya Purity. Mönstret kommer från MoYou London Suki 01 och är stämplat med Sly. Originalet hittar ni här.

We have come to the last post in this month's theme which was to recreate a previously manicure. Next month we have spring flowers as the theme and I look forward to that. Do you have a suggestion on what kind of manicure I should do?

For the three previous manicures I have chosen to recreate as close to the original as possible, but this one is a bit different. I found a manicure that Tiffany at Polished To Precision made a month when the theme was geometric. She had a pink holo and accent nail was made of a nailwrap, with a geometric pattern.

I chose a strong pink polish with a little holo from Mentality and instead of a nailwrap I did a stamping accentnail with a pattern that is very similar to the original, but I chose to take it in the same color as the rest of the nails instead of white with green.

The polishes I've used is Mentality Sly and Zoya Purity. The pattern comes from MoYou London Suki 01 and are stamped with Sly. The original can be found here.

Purrfect Pawlish - Swedish Duo

Idag blir det svenska färger här på bloggen och det i form av två nya lack som ingår i duon Swedish Duo som Purrfect Pawlish släpper den 1/5. 

Duon består av ett svenska flaggan blått krämlack med namnet Swedest Blue, som är riktigt bra att måla med. Täcker på två lager och torkar i alldeles normal takt. Jag har inget topplack på bilderna med bara Swedest Blue. Visst blir det slätare med topplack, men ser ändå riktigt bra ut utan tycker jag. 

Det andra lacket är ett glitterlack med enbart gula fina glitter i mindre och större hexagoner vid namn Yellow Lion. Jag tror faktiskt inte jag har sett ett sånt här glitter innan. Direkt när jag plockade upp det ur paketet jag fick blev jag glad av att titta på det här. 

Det är ett glitter så man får hjälpa till lite med spridningen på nageln, men tycker inte att det vållade några större problem. Jag la på två lager av Yellow Lion över Blue. 

Och jag gillar det här! Det blåa lacket är en snygg blå färg och trevligt att lacka med och med gult glitter på toppen är jag färdig både för Nationaldagen och Midsommarafton. Glatt och kul är mitt omdöme.

Today I have the Swedish colors here on the blog and that is in the form of two new polishes from Purrfect Pawlish in form of a duo called Swedish Duo that will be released the 1st of May.

The duo consists of a Swedish flag blue creme polish that is really good to paint with. It covers in two layers and dries in just normal pace. I have no topcoat on in the images with just "blue" as the polish is called right now, but there has been a naming contest on Facebook so it will probably get a little mor fancy name. Sure, it becomes smoother with topcoat, but still looks really good without I think.

The second polish is a glitter polish with only nice yellow glitter in small and larger hexagons. I don't think I've seen a glitter with only yellow before. Immediately when I picked it up from the package I received, I got happy just by looking at it. 

It's a glitter so you do have to help it to spread a bit on nail, but not that much that it causes any major problems. I put on two coats of Yellow that probably also will get a new name just like Blue.

And I like this! The blue polish is a stylish blue color and great to paint with and with yellow glitter on top I'm ready for both Swedish National Day and Midsummer. Happy and fun is my opinion.

ABC Challenge - Z = HM Zoo

Så kom det då till slut. Sista inlägget i den här omgången med ABC Challenge. Jag tror att det inte blev mer än två bokstäver jag missade i slutändan och det på grund av sjukdom. Hur ska jag nu välja lack då?

Sista inlägget blir med ett svenskt märke nämligen HM och eftersom bokstaven är Z så blev det Zoo som får pryda naglarna. Eller i alla fall delvis. För jag valde att göra en glittergradient av det här lite gammelrosa microglittret över Zoya Raven.

Det känns väldigt bra att få avsluta med en manikyr som jag verkligen tycker om. Just den här typen av rosa som Zoo består av är väl inte någon favoritfärg, men använt på det här sättet så blir det magiskt fint tycker jag.

And now the time has come for the last post in this round of the ABC Challenge. I think that I only missed out on two or possible three letters and that was because of illness. How should I do know when I should chose polish?

Last post is represented by a Swedish brand namely HM and since the letter is Z it became Zoo that will finish of this challenge. Or at least partly. Because I chose to do a glittergradient of this little dusty pink micro glitter over Zoya Raven.

It feels very good to finish with a manicure that I really like. This particular type of pink that Zoo is are not a favorite, but used in this way, it becomes magically beautiful I think.
