The Neverending Pile Challenge - Holo FNUG Fantastica

Dagens tema i The Neverending Pile Challenge är holo och det temat kan jag kombinera med att använda lacken som jag fått i present.

Hade det varit så att jag köpt det här själv hade FNUG Fantastica även kunnat gå in under temat Måste ha, men har aldrig använt det. Det florerade ganska mycket FNUG inlägg runt om på bloggarna för sisådär ett år sedan och det med rätta för lacken har en helt fantastiskt holoeffekt.

Jag vet att dom är lite knepiga att applicera så jag bottnade med Aqua Base och då var det absolut inga problem att få det fint. Två lager med supersnabbtorktid och så Digital Flash över.

Faktum är att jag tror att jag skulle kunna kvala in till Karins gröna onsdag också för det här är faktiskt grönt även om det är väldigt väldigt ljust i färgen. Det här är väldigt vackert och som sagt effekten i det är ju makalös. Jag gillar det riktigt mycket även om det kan se lite tråkigt ut när man sitter i skuggan, men jag förlåter det för detta.

Today's theme in The Neverending Pile Challenge is holo and that theme is one that I can combine with using the polishes I got in the birthday group.

If I had bought this myself I also could have fit FNUG Fantastica into an earlier theme called Had to have it, still haven't worn it. There were a lot of post about FNUG holos about a year ago and rightly so for these polishes are truly amazing.

I know they are a little tricky to apply so I started with Aqua Base and then it was absolutely no problem to get it nicely. Two layers with super fast drying time and Digital Flash over.

In fact, I think I would be able to qualify for Karin's Green Wednesday also because this is actually green, even if it is very very bright in color. This is very nice and as I said the effect in it is amazing. I like it quite a lot even though it may look a little bland when sitting in the shade, but I forgive it for that.

Igår kom ett efterlängtat paket från Edgy Polish!

Efterlängtat eftersom jag har väntat på att Katarina skulle få hem Darling Diva Polish Muscle Car kollektion och nu äntligen hade den kommit in. Jag har inte köpt hela, men fyra vackra glittriga flaskor i alla fall. Och en från Pipedream Polish. Ett nytt märke som jag var nyfiken på.

Sen undrar jag när någon lacktillverkare ska göra ett lack som heter MG som ni nog redan vet är ett bilmärke som ligger varmt om mitt hjärta!

Feed the monster

Yesterday a package from Edgy Polish arrived at my house. A package with polishes that I have waited a long time for. 

Waiting for Katarina to get Darling Diva Polish Muscle Car collection in stock and finally she has them. I didn't buy the whole collection, but four beautiful glittering polishes and one from Pipedream Polish as well. A new brand that I was curious about. 

And I also wonder when a polish maker will make a polish tributed to my favorite car the MG. I guess you know by now that my MG is something very dear to me. 

HM - Peach Me Soon

Sommaren närmar sig och i Juli fyller jag år och har även min födelsedagsmånad i vår Födelsedagsgrupp på Facebook. Jag insåg skamset häromdagen att jag inte ens använt alla lack som jag fick förra året från gruppen så nu är mitt mål att försöka använda alla innan min månad börjar.

Så dagens lack är ett av dom såklart. Ett lack som jag tyckte såg lite tråkigt ut i flaskan, men som var mycket trevligare på nageln än vad jag förväntat mig.

Lacket är HM Peach Me Soon ett mjukt aprikost krämlack. Lite ojämnt blir det vid applicering, men tre lager och topplack fixar till det hela. Torktiden var riktigt bra.

Det här lacket är kanske inte något jag kommer bära ofta på egen hand, men jag gillar det och sitter i skrivande stund och funderar på vilket mönster jag ska lägga över, för det här är ett toppenlack att ha som grund till stamping eller nailart.

Jag är tyvärr inte säker på om det finns att köpa eller inte, men givetvis så går det ju att få tag på liknande färger. Lämna gärna en kommentar med vilka lack som skulle kunna motsvara detta.

 

Summer is approaching and July is my birthday month and also my birthday month in our Birthday Group on Facebook. I must admit and with shame that  I have not even used all the polish that I received last year from the group so now my goal is to try to use them all before my month starts.

So today's polish is one of them of course. A polish that I thought looked a little boring in the bottle, but that turned out much nicer on the nail than I expected.

The polish is HM Peach Me Soon a soft peachy cream polish. It gets a little uneven when you paint with it, but three coats and top coats fixes that. The drying time was really good.

This polish is perhaps not something I will wear often on it's own, but I like it and is right now  thinking about what pattern I should put over this. Because this is a perfect base for stamping or other nailarts.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this still is possible to buy at HM, but as with most of this kind of cremes there is probably something very similar available out there. Please leave a comment with the polish that could fit in to that.

Rainbow Honey - Birdcage

Det här lacket är som klippt och skuret för mig. Ja, inte bara för att färgen är fin och att jag gillar märket, men mer om det strax. Nä, för namnet. Jag har burfåglar. Närmare bestämt två stycken Undulater varav den ena är grå. Ovanligt nog för vår familj så fick vi total slut på idéer när vi skulle döpa den lille stackaren så han heter just Grå.

I alla fall så förstår ni ju då att ett grått lack som heter Birdcage är något som jag bara måste ha. Lacket är ganska ljust grått med glitter i silver och svart. Det har dessutom svarta och silvriga större stjärnor och även större cirkelglitter i sig. Dom större var lite knepiga att få upp ur flaskan.

Det var lätt att applicera, förutom de stora glittren då. Jag hade kunnat stanna på två lager, men som sagt jag ville ju gärna visa att det fanns lite mer i flaskan än småglitter så det blev tre lager och ett lager Digital Flash över det.

Det här gillar jag väldigt, väldigt mycket. Fin grå färg och lagom mycket glitter. Jag hade faktiskt kunnat vara utan dom större, men tycker ändå att dom är helt ok. Och så påminner det ju om vår lilla Kärlekskranke Grå också.

This polish is the perfect one for me. Not only because the color is nice and I like the brand, but more about that shortly. Actually it's the name.  I have caged birds. More particularly, two Budgies and one of them is gray. Unusually for our family we were completely out of ideas when we should baptize the poor baby so he is named Grå and that is Swedish for Grey.

In all cases, I guess you will understand then that a gray polish called Birdcage is something I just have to have. The polish is pretty light gray with glitter in silver and black. It also has black and silvery larger stars and even bigger circle glitter in it. The larger ones were a bit more tricky to get up out of the bottle.

It was easy to apply, except the big glitters then. I had been able to stay on two layers, but as I said I wanted to show you that there was a little more in the bottle than microglitter so there were three layers and a layer of Digital Flash over it.

I like this very, very much. Nice gray color and just enough sparkle. I had actually been able to do without them bigger once, but still feel that they are quite ok. And it reminds me about our little lovesick Grå too.

Nailart Sunday - Swirls!

Söndag igen, veckorna går fort som bara den.

Idag är det inget tema på Lelacks Nailart Sunday och jag passar på att visa en manikyr gjord med hjälp av mina nya Mundo De Uñas lack.

Tyvärr så råkade jag ta bort en del av lacket som skulle vara också när jag rengjorde, men så kan det bli ibland och det får ni på köpet.

Jag har grundat med Rainbow Honey Nyx och sen använt mig av ett flertal av stämpellacken för att göra en lite festligare manikyr. Mönstret kommer från en Fab Ur Nails platta.

Så nu har jag alltså testat dom omskrivna Mundo de Uñas lacken. Vad tycker jag? Att dom luktar väldigt mycket. Är väldigt tjocka, så man behöver inte göra som jag gjorde och fylla ut hela motivet utan det hade räckt med att måla halva och dra ut färgen med skrapan sedan. Dom är helt fantastiska när det gäller täckning. Som ni ser så är färgerna väldigt tydliga även över en svart bas och det tycker jag är suveränt.

Omdömet blir alltså: Inget för dom som har svårt för starka lukter, men är det inget problem och man gillar stämpling så är dom väldigt bra och prisvärda. Ett stort plus är också att det finns så många färger att välja emellan.

Sunday again , the weeks goes so fast.

Today is no theme at Lelacks Nailart Sunday so I take the opportunity to show you a manicure done with the help of my new Mundo De Uñas stampingpolishes. 

Unfortunately, I happened to take away some of the polish that should be too when I was cleaning up, but that is something that can happen and I will show it anyway. 

I have Rainbow Honey Nyx as the base and then used a variety of colors from Mundo de Uñas to make a more festive manicure. The pattern comes from a Fab Ur Nails plate.

So now I have tested the polishes that is most written about in the stamping comunity. What do I think? They smell very much. Is very thick, so you don't have to do as I did and fill out the entire pattern on the plate it had been enough to paint half and pull out the paint with the scraper over the rest of the pattern. They are absolutely amazing when it comes to coverage. As you can see the colors are very clear even over a black base and I think this is great.

So my review is this: Not for those who have difficulty with strong odors, but if that is no problem and you like to do stamping they're very good and affordable. A big plus is that there are so many colors to choose from.

Läsarnas Val / Readers Choice! - Darling Diva Polish Slutty Pumpkin

Ni fick vänta en vecka för att få resultatet av förra omröstningen eftersom att förra lördagen ägnades åt andra lack, men idag kan jag berätta att lacket som  ni röstade fram förra gången var Darling Diva Polish Slutty Pumpkin.

Ett lack som jag har för mig finns en hel del delade meningar om. Även jag själv har varit lite kluven, men det är jag inte längre. Härmed fastslår jag att min ståndpunkt är att dom svarta glittren i det för övrigt härligt oranga lacket tillför något och är kul och inte tvärtom.

För Slutty Pumpkin som om någon missat detta är en referens till en av mina favoritserier How I Met Your Mother är ett vackert orange holo med svart glitter i. Det här är absolut rätt nyans av orange för att jag ska falla som en fura för det.

Det är lätt att applicera och jag har faktiskt inte mer än två lager på och tycker det täcker alldeles ypperligt. Ett lager av Digital Flash gick det åt också. Lacket är väl egentligen från en Halloween kollektion, men jag tycker det passar lite när som helst faktiskt.

Jaha, då får vi se vad ni tycker jag ska visa er nästa vecka. Omröstning som vanligt under bilderna.

You had to wait a week to get the results of last poll since last Saturday was devoted to other polishes, but today I can tell you that the polish that you voted for last time was Darling Diva Polish Slutty Pumpkin.

A polish that I know people have a lot of different thoughts about. Even I myself have been a little ambivalent, but I'm not anymore. Hereby I state that my opinion is that the black glitters in the very beautiful orange polish adds something to it and is fun and not vice versa.

Slutty Pumpkin is if someone missed it a reference to one of my favorite TV-series How I Met Your Mother a beautiful orange holo with black glitter in. This is absolutely the right shade of orange for me. The kind that I always falls for.

It's easy to apply and I actually have only two layers on and think it covers just excellent. And a layer of Digital Flash as well.. The polish is from a Halloween collection, but I think it fits anytime if you feel like wearing it.

Holofredag - Powder Perfect The Clave

Idag fick jag ett litet trevligt paket från Katarina på Edgy Polish med lack som jag ska swatcha. Ett av dom lacken är Powder Perfect The Clave. Jag kunde inte låta bli att lägga på det på en gång.

Det är ju trots allt holofredag hos Skimmerskuggan och därför så passar jag på att visa det här redan idag. The Clave är ett lite blyertsgrå lack med en subtil men väldigt vacker holoeffekt i. Formulan kan nog upplevas som på gränsen till rinnig, men jag gillade den ändå. Torktiden var bra och bilderna ni ser är utan topplack.

Det här lacket gillar jag riktigt mycket. Både färgen och att det är en lite holo som gör det till något mer än bara ett grått lack. Jag tror att man kunde slutat vid två lager, men jag var lite osäker och jag gillar ju tre lager så det fick det bli.

I got a package from Katarina at Edgy Polish today with some polishes to swatch. And one of them were Powder Perfect The Clave. I couldn't resist putting it on at once.

After all it is Holofriday at Skimmerskuggan and that is one of the reason for me posting this today. The Clave is a charcoal grey polish with a subtile but very beautiful holo in it. The formula might be a bit on the thin side, but I liked it anyway. The drying time was normal and on the pictures you'll see this without topcoat. 

I really like this polish a lot. Both the color and the fact that it has that holo in it. That makes it something more than just a grey polish. I think I could have stopped at two layers, but was a bit uncertain. And you that I like three layers so that is what I ended up with.

He Picks My Polish!

Jag hittade en rätt kul utmaning hos Model City när jag surfade runt lite grann. Det hela gick ut på att en manlig bekant eller familjemedlem skulle välja ut tre lack ur din samling som man sen ska göra en nailart av.

Det där kunde ju inte jag låta bli, så äldste sonen plockade ut följande lack åt mig OPI A Roll In The Hauge, Who The Shrek Are You och DS Extravagance. Jo, men visst serru! Hur i hela friden ska man kombinera ett illgrönt, illorange och lila lack?

Funderade lite, men kom sen på att jag har ju velat testa vad som kallas Needledraging så det fick det bli. Jag började med att lägga OPI Who The Shrek Are You som bas och sen la tjocka ränder av dom andra två jämte varandra. Doppa en lite tjockare nål i DS Extravagance och drog sen. Kul och enkelt. Och faktiskt så himla galet blev det ju faktiskt inte med färgerna på det här sättet.

I found a pretty fun challenge at Model City when I was surfing around a bit. It is about you asking a male friend or family member to select three polishes from your collection that you then do a nailart by. 

So,  I could not help myself, I asked the eldest son to pick out the polishes and these are the once he choosed: OPI A Roll In The Hauge, Who The Shrek Are You and DS Extravagance. Ok, what on earth should I do with a bright green, bright orange and a purple polish? 

I gave it a thought and then decided that I would try to do a needle dragging nailart. Something I've never done before. I started by putting OPI Who The Shrek Are You as a base and then put thick stripes of the other two next to each other. Dabbed  a little thicker needle in DS Extravagance and just dragged it throught the two polishes out to the base color. Fun and easy. And actually it didn't turn out so damn crazy at all.

GOT Polish Challenge - Flowers

Tema Flowers eller Blommor om ni så vill. Först tänkte jag stämpling, men sen blev jag sugen på att göra en variant av blommorna jag gjorde för ett tag sedan. Dom där prästkragarna.

Lacken som används i den här utmaningen ska ju vara ett år gamla helst och använda sen tidigare och det är dom här lacken. Som bas har jag det mörkt lila Zoya Pinta. Det oranga i blommans mitt är Zoya Arizona, med lite prickar av American Apparel Lopez Canyon och själva blombladen är gjorda av det ljuslila China Glaze Sweet Hook.

Jo, det blev rätt ok, men jag måste nog säga att varianten med gult, blått och vitt var finare.

Todays theme is Flowers in GOT Polish Challenge and at first I thought of doing some stamping but then I remembered my manicure with a daisy that I did a while ago and wanted to do a version of that. 

The polishes that you should use for this challenge should be at least a year old and if possible have been used before. These ones fits in on both things. The once I have used is: Zoya Pinta, a dark purple cream for the base. The orange in the middle of the flower is Zoya Arizona with som dots from American Apparel Lopez Canyon and the petals are made from China Glaze Sweet Hook. 

Well, it turned out pretty ok, but I do like the other version with blue, white and yellow better.

En riktigt dålig dag kan vändas av ett trevligt mail eller ett trevligt paket på posten. Och om jag ska vara helt ärlig så har jag haft en hel del dåliga dagar sista tiden. Tänk er själva då glädjen när man får mail att man vunnit fina lack i en Giveaway eller när man får en avi att dom där stämpellacken som man längtat efter äntligen kommit.

Jag fick mail från Zara på May contain traces of polish att jag vunnit i hennes 1-års Giveaway och några dagar senare låg dom här fina lacken i lådan. Etude har jag aldrig testat och inte heller Estetissmo och jag uppskattar verkligen att testa nya märken.

Dessutom vill jag uppmana er att kolla in Zaras blogg. Hon är superduktig på nailart och tar väldigt bra foton, så in på May contain traces of polish och kika med er.

A really bad day can be turned around by a nice email or a nice package in the mail. And to be honest, I have had a lot of bad days lately. Just imagine then the joy when you get mail that you won beautiful polishes in a Giveaway or when you receive a notice that you have a parcel with those stamping polishes you've want so badly waiting for you at the postoffice. 

I got email from Zara on May containers traces of polish that I won in her 1-year Giveaway and a few days later I got a package with lovely polishes in the mail.  Etude is a brand that I have never tested nor Estetissmo and I really appreciate to try new brands.

Ja, så var det ju dom där stämpellacken också förstås. Jag är med i en del grupper på Facebook som mest handlar om stamping och där har alla lovordat ett märke som heter Mundo de Uñas så jag kunde ju givetvis inte låta bli att beställa ett litet gäng med lack. Dom här skickas från Mexico, men jag tror ändå inte det tog så mycket mer än två och en halv vecka från att jag la ordern till att lacken var här. Jag ser fram emot att testa dom här och hoppas att dom är så bra som alla säger.

Ok, so I got myself some stamping polishes aswell. I'm part of different groups on Facebook that is mostly about stamping and which have all praised a brand called Mundo de Uñas so of course I could not resist ordering a small bunch with lacquer. These things are sent from Mexico, but I do not believe it took so much more than two and a half weeks from that I put the order into the paint was here. I look forward to testing these and hope they are as good as everyone says.

Powder Perfect - Fog Is Rolling In

Det är Valborgsmässoafton och jag hoppas att vädret håller i sig så man åtminstone slipper snö ikväll. Det blir väl ett besök vid brasan och eventuellt en liten vända till vår lokala pub.

Idag tänkte jag i alla fall att visa Fog Is Rolling In från Powder Perfect. Mitt andra lack som jag testar från det här märket. Det här lacket är duokromt och skiftar ganska tydligt mellan blått och lila även om det som vanligt är svårt att fånga på bild.

Formulan var mycket trevlig och det täcker utan problem på två lager. Har man kortare naglar kan jag tänka mig att det räcker med ett faktiskt. I just den här flaskan var penseln lite spretig och det är ju inte någon höjdare, men om man bara är lite försiktig så slipper man lack i nagelbanden. Jag har ett lager av Digital Flash över också.

Det här är ju ingen unik kombination av duokrom, men det som gör att jag gillar det här bättre än t.ex Ludurama lacket som jag visade för någon vecka sedan är just formulan. Fantastisk trevlig att jobba med.

Powder Perfect lack kan man hitta hos Edgy Polish och har du inte testat något från märket så rekomenderar jag dig starkt att göra det. Just den här färgen såg jag var tillfälligt slut, men det finns massa fint. Bl.a ett som heter Kevin som är ljuvligt!

It is Walpurgis Night and I hope the weather stays nice as it is right now so at least there wont be snowing tonight. I will probably visit the bonfire and might have a short visit to our local pub.

Today I'm going to show you Fog Is Rolling In from Powder Perfect. This is the second polish that I use from this brand. This polish is duochrome and shifts quite clearly between blue and purple although it is as usual difficult to capture on photos.

The formula was very nice and it covers without problems in two layers. If you have shorter nails it might even be enough with one layer. In this particular bottle the brush was a little fuzzy and that is never fun., but if you're just a little careful you can avoid getting polish in your cuticles anyway. I have a stock of Digital Flash over too.

This is of course no unique combination of duochrome colors, but the formula on this makes me like this a lot more than for example the Ludurama polish I showed a while ago. It's amazing to work with.

Powder Perfect polishes can be found at Edgy Polish and if you haven't tried anything from the brand I strongly recommend you to do so. This particular color was unfortunaly temporarily out of stock right now, but there are lots of  other nice colors. My person favorit is called Kevin so go take a look at that one. 

Summary of Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros. collection.

Till slut har jag då lyckats att ta mig igenom hela Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros kollektionen och tänkte att ni skulle få en liten summering av denna.

Kollektionen består av åtta stycken lack inspirerade av vad jag kan tänka mig är ett av världens mest älskade och kända tv-spel Super Mario.

Jag tänker för en gång skull också rangordna lacken i ordning efter vilket jag tycker bäst om.

So I have finally managed to get through the whole Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros. collection and thought you would get a short summary of this. 

The collection consists of eight polishes inspired by what I imagine is one of the world's most beloved and well-known video games Super Mario. 

I have also for once put these polishes in a list with the one I like the best on top.
