Ämnet för dagen i Lelack's Nailart Sunday är Vintage.

Det där bestämde jag mig för att tolka på mitt alldeles egna sätt. För jag måste vara ärlig och säga att jag hann inte fixa till något nytt gammalt och snyggt så istället bestämde jag mig för att bjuda er på några av de första manikyrerna som jag deltog i Nailart Sunday med.

Vintage betyder äldre vara av god kvalité enligt Wikipedia. Därför tänkte jag bjuda på en del manikyrer som jag visade i början av mitt deltagande i Nailart Sunday. Om dom är av god kvalité lämnar jag till er att avgöra.

I decided to interpret that in my own way. For I must be honest and say that I did not have the time to fix anything new that looked old and nice so instead I decided to remind you of some of he first manicures that I participated with in Nailart Sunday. 

The word Vintage means older thing in good quality according to Wikipedia. Well, it's older but if it's good quality is up to you to decide!

12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Christmas were you live

Dagens tema i 12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge är Christmas were you live. Jag började fundera på vad i hela friden man skulle kunna hitta på till det här temat. Snö, nja, fast det är ju fler och fler jular här som inte är vita. Lucia, jo, fast det är ju inte riktigt jul liksom. Då kom återigen yngste grabben till undsättning.

Vilka mer länder tittar på Kalle Anka klockan tre varje julafton? Inga vad jag vet i alla fall!

Jag hittade lite vattendekaler på Ebay som klickades hem. Av någon konstig anledning hade jag tänkt att ha röd bakgrund, det jag inte tänkte på var att stackars Kalle då skulle bli väldigt röd i nyllet, så det fick bli vitt istället.

Vad är det mest svenska ni kan tänka er när ni tänker på julen?

Todays theme is: Christmas were you live. Well, I live in the south of Sweden and the first thing that crossed my mind was snow, but to be honest it's not that many year's that the Christmas is white, so that wasn't a good idea. We do celebrate Lucia more than in most country's but that isn't Christmas. 

Then once again my youngest son came up with the idea that I went for. For in what other countries is there a strange tradition to watch Donald Duck and friends wishing us all a Merry Christmas on Christams Eve at three a clock. We have Christmas Eve as the main day for celebrating Christmas here in Sweden. 

Yes, you read it right Donald Duck, Disney, on Christmas. Mickey Mouse is the host and presents different Christmas Cards from his friends among the Disney characters. Strange? Oh, yes! But you should have heard the roar from the Swedish people a couple of years ago when the subject came up that Swedish Televison was about to loose the licence to show this. Trust me it was like the third world war!

I found some waterdecals on ebay that I thought was perfect. They were a bit hard to work with, but this is how it turned out.

Läsarnas Val / Readers Choice! - Jade Vermelho Surreal

Nu har ni gjort det igen! Röstat fram ett helt suveränt vackert lack åt mig.

Jag var väl inte så värst förvånad över att Jade Vermelho Surreal till vinnare i förra veckans omröstning, men desto mer förvånad att det var Kicks Champagne Bubbles som kom på andra plats inte så superlångt efter det här.

Jade lacken har en förmåga att dels vara superbra att lacka med och dessutom så sitter dom väldigt bra på mig. Ja, och sen är det ju färgen också då förstås. Vem kan motstå ett sånt här lack? Inte jag i alla fall.

Ett härligt klarrött lack med fantastiska regnbågar. Jag gillar verkligen penseln i Jade flaskorna. Torktiden är mycket bra och formulan är hur trevlig som helst att jobba med.

Två lager är vad jag har på bilderna och så ett lager Poshé över.

Idag får ni fyra lack att rösta på och det blir det även nästa vecka. Detta för att avsluta ABC-röstningarna på ett vettigt sätt.

You've done it again! You choosed an absolutely amazing polish for me to swatch for you.

Well I was not terribly surprised that Jade Vermelho Surreal was the winner of last week's vote, but all the more surprising was that it was Kicks Champagne Bubbles who came second with not that many votes behind.

Jade polishes has the ability to both be super easy to paint with and at least on me they last long before chipping. And then it's the color of course. Who can resist a polish looking like this? Not me, anyway.

A beautiful bright red polish with amazing rainbows. I really like the brush in the Jade bottles. The drying time is very good and the formula is just as nice as can be. 

Two layers is what I have on the pictures and then a layer of Poshe over.

Today, you get four polishes to vote on and it will be the same next week. This is to end the ABC polls in a sensible way.

Holofredag - Mentality Matte Holo

Hoppas alla har klarat sig bra från stormen, det enda problemet jag hade var att jag kom en timme för sent till jobbet, men hellre sen än inte alls!

Idag är det som vanligt holofredag, men inte bara det Edgy Polish har även 20% på alla hololack, missa inte detta!

Något som är lite underskattat (även av mig) är överlack med holoeffekt. Just det jag visar er idag har dessutom en matt yta. Jag har varit lite anti mot matta lack, men blir mer och mer förtjust i dom faktiskt.

Jag ville på något sätt visa hur det här såg ut både på ljusa och mörka lack. Jag tog och målade varannan nagel med Zoya Rehka och Raven. Dom fick torka och så på med Mentality Matte Holo.

Jag insåg snabbt att man ska ta ett tunt lager av det här, annars blir det liksom lite för mycket grå yta. Min första tanke var att nej, det här gillar jag inte. Men som så många gånger förr när man har haft det på naglarna en stund så händer något. Och jag måste säga att jag efter att ha haft det här i 2 dygn gillar det riktigt mycket. Ok, det är inte så värst mycket holo kanske, men ytan får en häftig effekt som nästan blir lite läderliknande.

Nästa gång ska jag tests över skimmerlack och se hur det blir tror jag.

Mentality lacken hittar du som sagt hos Edgy Polish och 20% på redan vettiga priser är ju alltid trevligt.

Utsickat for recenssion

In Sweden we had a storm passing through the country during the night and were I live we suddenly had a lot of snow. So I was very late to work today, but better late than never!

It's friday and that means holofriday, but not only that it's also 20% on all holopolishes at Edgy Polish. Don't miss that!

Something that is a bit underrated (even by me) is holo topcoats. The one that I'm showing you today also has a matte finish. I 've been a bit anti to matte polishes, but is becoming more and more fond of them actually .

I wanted to somehow show how this looked on both light and dark polishes. I painted every other nail with Zoya Rehka and Raven. They were allowed to dry and then I applied one coat of  Mentality Matte Holo over.

I quickly realized that one should take thin layers of this topcoat, otherwise it will be like a little too much gray area. My first thought was that no, this is not for me. But like so many times before when you 've had it on the nails for a while, something happens. And I must say that after I have had this for two days I like it really much. Ok, it's not that much holo maybe, but the surface gets a cool effect that almost becomes a bit leathery .

Next time I think I will layer this over a shimmer polish I think that might get really cool.

12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Candy

Ok, nu undrar ni säkert vad jag tänkte på när jag gjorde den här manikyren och vad det möjligen ska föreställa! Men, det ser väl varenda människa att det här är Ischoklad. Min första tanke när temat var julgodis var ju att göra polkagrisstänger, men sen konstaterade jag att det gör säkert en massa andra som deltar i The 12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge, så därför gör jag inte det.

Jag måste ju säga att jag hade väldigt roligt när jag jag gjorde dom här med hjälp av Zoya Minka som bas, China Glaze Electric Beat till dom små formarna och Mentality Foxy till själva ischokladen.

Om ni nu tror att ischoklad är en favoritgodis hos mig, så är det faktiskt fel, men väl hos yngste grabben i alla fall.

Vad säger ni om det här flip eller flop och vad är egentligen er favorit av alla härliga julgodisar?

Ok, you might wonder what on earth I was thinking when I made this manicure and what it possibly is supposed to look like! In Sweden and probably in other countrys as well we do something called Ischoklad for Christmas. Choclate that you melt together with cocnut fat and pours in little metallic forms. 

I agree that I probably could have done something that looks tastier, like candy canes. In Sweden called Polkagris, but I thought that everybody else would do that so I wanted to do something completely different. In the picture underneath the manicure you'll see how the look in reality.

I have to say I had great fun when I made this manicure using Zoya Minka as a base, China Glaze Electric Beat to the small molds and Mentality Foxy to the actuall ischoklad.

Now, if you think ischoklad is a favorite candy with me, it's actually wrong, but it is for my youngest son anyway, so we do it every Christmas.

Glitter Gal - Teal Blue

Är ni sugna på lite vackra Glitter Gal lack? Då är det rätt dag för er att besöka Edgy Polish där det idag är 20% på detta märket.

Har ni inte testat något holo ifrån Glitter Gal så kan jag absolut rekommendera att du gör det. Många fina färger och på dom  jag provat har formulan varit mycket bra. Ingen holosjuka och en väldigt trevlig borste.

Just det här lacket heter Teal Blue och ja ni har hört det förut, men jag har haft det stående läänge i min låda. Närmare bestämt ett år. Inte klokt! Jag vet egentligen inte varför för att det är absolut inget fel på färgen, nej då, den är mycket vacker tycker jag. Och regnbågarna, ja dom kan man ju inte klaga på heller.

Lacket är helt enkelt blått med en klar dragning mot teal. På 3 lager täcker det och torktiden var trevlig. Jag har inget topplack på bilderna. Alltså ser ni vilka fina regnbågar det blir?

If you haven't tried any holo from Glitter Gal, I can absolutely recommend that you do. Many beautiful colors and the ones I have tried have been great formula on. No holosickness and a very nice brush.

Just this polish is called Teal Blue and yes you've heard it before, but I've had it standing for a loooong time in my drawer. Actually for one year. That is so stupid! I really don't know why because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the color, oh no, it is very beautiful, I think. And the rainbows, they are nothing to complaint about either.

The polish is as the name says blue with a clear bias towards teal. It covers in three layers and the drying time was nice. I don't have any topcoat in the pictures. Do you see the nice rainbows!!

Dags för Nailart utmaning igen och idag så är det Presentpapper/Presenter som är temat. Jag visste direkt hurdana små paket jag ville göra. Jag är inte så superbra på att rita på frihand, men jag är ändå nöjd med hur det här blev. Skulle absolut kunna tänka mig att få ett sånt här paket av tomten!

Det jag har använt mig av är Zoya Lisa till bas och sen nailart färg i vitt och silver.

Time for 12 Days Of Christmas Nailart Challenge again and today it's Wrapping Paper/Presents that are the theme. I knew right away what kind of small packages I wanted to do. I'm not so super at drawing freehand, but I'm still happy with how this turned out. I would be happy to recieve a christmas gift looking like this!

I have used Zoya Lisa as the base and nail art paint in white and silver for the ribbons.

Blå Måndag - China Glaze Blue Years Eve

Jag tror faktiskt det här är första gången jag är med på Blå Måndag sen Tove tog över den. Och vilket lack som jag gör debut med då!

Det här är China Glaze Blue Year's Eve ett helt underbart glassfleck lack i en mörkblå nyans. Det här lacket kom ut med China Glaze Let it snow kollektion 2011 och jag kan nog tycka att det blivit något av en klassiker. En av de bättre julkollektionerna om jag får säga min mening.

Nu i alla fall så lyckades jag äntligen plocka fram den här vackra skapelsen och den fick sitta kvar i hela fem dagar på mina naglar. Bl.a under Göteborgs besöket förra veckan.

Lacket är smidigt att applicera, tre lager för täckning om man har längre naglar, men torktiden är bra så det är verkligen inget bekymmer och dessutom är det så värt det hela. På bilderna har jag inget topplack.

Jag blev verkligen väldigt betagen av det här lacket. Sånt djup och så fin färg får mig på fall hur lätt som helst.

I actually think this is the first time I'm participating on Blue Monday since Tove took it over. And what a polish that I make debut with then!

This is China Glaze Blue Year's Eve a truly wonderful glass fleck polish in a dark blue hue. This polish came out with China Glaze Let it Snow Collection 2011 and I think that it already has become a classic. One of the better Christmas collections if you want my opinion.

Now, anyway, I managed to finally pick up this beautiful creation and it sat on my nails for five whole days. That is including my Gothenburg visit last week.

The polish is easy to apply, three coats for coverage if you have longer nails, but the drying time is good so it's really no worries and moreover it is so worth it all. In the pictures, I have no topcoat.

I was really very charmed by this polish. That depth in the color and the beautiful blue really really made me fall hard for this.

The 12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Tree

Vill börja med att önska er allihopa en riktig bra 1:a Advent. Idag är det inte bara Nailart Sunday utan även första dagen i The 12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge som jag deltar i. Kanske inte riktigt alla dagarna, men så många jag hinner i alla fall.

Det är bloggarna Nailed It NZ, From L&P To English Tea och A Girl With Some Clothes som håller i det här. Senare idag kommer alla bidrag att vara samlade hos Nailed It NZ.

Första utmaningen var Christmas Tree alltså julgran. Något som jag faktiskt varit sugen på att göra ett tag så jag satte mig vid mitt bord och la på Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn, gjorde små koner av Barielle Date Night fixade lite guldglitter till granen med en nailart penna och sist men inte minst en stjärna i toppen på granen.

Jag blev så himla nöjd med dom här granarna att jag faktiskt kan tänka mig att göra om dom lite närmare jul.

Want to start by wishing you all a real good first Advent Sunday. Today is not just Nailart Sunday but also the first day of The 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge that I participate in. Maybe not all days, but as many as I can, anyway.

First challenge was Christmas Tree. Something I actually been wanting to do for a while so I sat down at my table and put on Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn, did small green cones of Barielle Date Night tweaked some gold glitter to the tree with a nail art pen and last but not least a star in top of the tree.

I was so very happy with these that I can actually see myself redoing them a little bit closer to Christmas.

Läsarnas val / Readers Choice! - Isadora Orient Express

Jag trodde faktiskt att det här lacket skulle vinna överlägset i förra veckans omröstning, men så var faktiskt inte fallet, GOSH Purple Heart var faktiskt inte långt efter Isadora Orient Express.

Orient Express är i mina ögon något av det ultimata röda jullacket eller det ultimata röda lacket över huvud taget faktiskt.

Älskar färgen på det här. Den djupa röda med lite metallic inslag och formulan är fullkomligt underbar. Två lager täcker det på utan problem.

Gillar man rött så är det här ett måste. Är lite osäker på om det säljs separat, men jag har sett det i små fina presentaskar nu i alla fall.

Vad har ni för något favorit lack när det gäller röda lack? Och så glömmer ni väl inte att rösta va!

 

I actually thought this polish would win big in last week's vote, but that was not actually the case, GOSH Purple Heart was actually not long after Isadora Orient Express.

Orient Express is in my eyes an ultimate christmas polish or the ultimate red nail polish anytime actually.

I totally love the color of this. The deep red with a bit of metallic elements and the formula is absolutely wonderful. Two coats and absolutely not more than that is what you need.

If you like red, this is a must. I'm a  little unsure if it is sold separately right now, but I have seen it in small neat gift boxes anyway.

Holofredag - Darling Diva Polish Purple Rain

Äntligen fredag!!

Jo, jag vet att jag var ledig i början på veckan, men jag är så himla trött och längtar så mycket efter att få sätta upp mina adventsljusstakar i helgen. Tända ljus och ha lite mys.

En annan sak jag längtar väldigt mycket efter också är min Nikon D3100 som är på rengöring. Jag kan garantera er att min familj flydde igår när jag skulle fota det helt underbara lacket som jag har på naglarna just nu. Misstänker att något inte riktigt är som det ska med min gamla kamera för jag har fått redigera bilderna en del eftersom alla blev för ljusa hur jag än ställde in kameran. Inte var det lätt att få skarpa bilder.

Nåja, jag tror ni kommer se i alla fall vilket fantastiskt lack det här är. Mitt bidrag till veckans holofredag.

Ett härligt lila hololack, lite mer dämpad ton när det inte är direkt ljus på det, men fortfarande väldigt snyggt även i skugga. Det här är så mycket Helena det kan bli faktiskt. Jag tycker det är en alldeles lagom holoeffekt i det här. Inte så där superstark, men klar och tydlig i alla fall. Ett sånt lack som jag trivs i kanonbra och är mycket glad att ha i min samling även om jag inte lider så mycket av att vara ett Prince fans.

Formulan var som vanligt när det gäller Darling Diva lack bra. Jag har tre lager på och dom torkade lätt och snabbt. Ett lager Poshé över också.

Finally Friday !

Well, I know I was on a mini holiday in the beginning of the week, but I 'm so tired and I have cravings on making my home cozy for Advent this weekend. Lighting candles and just relax.

Another thing that I also crave very much is my Nikon D3100 which has been send away for cleaning. I can assure you that my family fled yesterday when I was shooting these pictures of this absolutely gorgeous polish that I have on my nails right now. Suspect that something is not quite as it should with my old camera , I 've got to do much more editing on  the images than usual because everyone was too bright no matter how I set up the camera. And to get sharp images was also tricky.

Well, I think you'll see all the same what a fantastic coat this is. And this is also my contribution to this weeks Holofriday.

A beautiful purple holo, a little more subdued tone when there is no direct light on it, but still very nicely even in the shade. This polish is so much Helena. I think it's a just perfect amount of holo into this. Not so super strong, but very visable all the same. This is a kind of polish that I love wearing. I feel comfortable with this on my nails. And I'm very  happy to have it in my collection although I do not suffer so much from being a Prince fan .

The formula was as usual when it comes to Darling Diva polish very good. I have three layers on and they dry easily and quickly. A layer of Poshe too.

Color Club - Rev'd Up

Jag vill bara börja med att säga: Volbeat!! Alltså början av veckan spenderades i Göteborg med bland annat konsertbesök. Tredje gången jag ser dessa danskar och absolut den bästa, faktiskt helt suveränt. Så nu var det sagt.

Nu till ytterligare ett lack som stått och väntat länge i min låda. Color Club Rev'd Up. Ett lila skimmer lack som lutar mer åt rosa än åt blått. Faktiskt en jättefin färg. Ingen unik, men alla lack kan ju inte vara det.

Formulan var lite så där på det här lacket. Inte svårjobbad, men ändå blev det liksom lite strimmigt. Jag la på fyra lager innan jag tyckte det var tillräckligt jämt och bra. Inget topplack på bilderna. På plussidan är att det torkade väldigt fort.

I just want to start by saying: Volbeat! In the beginning of this week we spent two days in Gothenburg including a concert. This was the third time I saw these Danes and certainly the best of the three, it was actually quite superb. Just had to say it!

Now for another polish that has been waiting a long time in my drawer. Color Club Rev'd Up. A purple shimmer polish that leans more towards pink than the blue. Actually a really nice color. No unique, but all polishes can't be that.

The formula was a bit tricky on this polish. Not difficult to paint with but it became uneven and a bit streaky on the nail. I put on four layers before I thought it was enough to cover on all nail. No topcoat in the pictures. On the plus side is that it dried very quickly.

Röd Tisdag - Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn

Malin som har bloggen Nerd Colours håller i en temadag som hamnat lite i skymundan, nämligen Röd Tisdag. Jag är inte med så ofta på temadagarna längre, men det här lacket passade ju ypperligt in i temat.

Jag har visat Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn innan, men det är nästan ett år sedan och det här lacket är så rasande vackert att man kan titta på det många gånger enligt mig.

Det lutar möjligen något lite åt orange, men är först och främst ett rött lack med guldskimmer i. Mycket lätt att lacka med, man skulle till och med kunnat komma undan med ett lager om det var så, men jag tycker oftast det blir lite mer djup i lacket om man har två så därför har jag det.

Det här är absolut ett av mina favoriter när det kommer till röda lack och Pretty Serious har bra penslar dessutom. På bilderna är det ju då två lager och inget topplack. Så himla vackert ändå.

Malin, who has the blog Nerd Colours are holding a theme day that has been a little neglected, namely Red Tuesday. I don't participate that often on the theme days longer, but this polish works so perfct into todays theme.

I have shown you Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn before, but it's almost a year ago and this polish is so crazy beautiful that you can watch it many times.

It leans possibly something slightly to the orange, but is first and foremost a red lacquer with gold shimmer in. Very easy to paint with, I could have stopped without a problem with only one coat,  but I think that most polishes gets a little more depth if you apply that second layer so therefore that is what I have.

This is absolutely one of my favorites when it comes to red polishes and Pretty Serious has also very good brushes. In the pictures it's then two coats and no top coat. So very beautiful anyway.
