Essence - Dopey

Dags att visa er ett av lacken från Essence Snow White kollektion som jag vann för ett ganska bra tag sedan.

Dopey (Toker på svenska) är ett väldigt mjukt och fint ljust lila lack med silver skimmer i. Jag gillar det här väldigt mycket. Formulan var nog egentligen helt ok, men borsten i min flaska var lite spretig vilket är smått irriterande. Jag tog alldeles för tunt lager på första så jag har fyra sammanlagt. Torktiden var också helt ok. Jag upplevde dock att man fick vara lite försiktig och inte "rätta" till sin applicering för då var risken att man fick med sig färg från tidigare lager också.

Färgen som sagt tilltalar mig riktigt mycket. Den är diskret, men silvret tillför ändå det där lilla extra som gör att det inte blir tråkigt.

Time to show you one of the polishes from the  Essence Snow White collection that I won for a pretty good while ago.

Dopey is a very soft and nice bright purple polish with silver shimmer in. I like this very much. The formula was probably actually quite ok, but the brush in my bottle was a bit fuzzy, which is somewhat annoying. I took way too thin layer on first so I have four total. The drying time was also quite ok. I felt that you had to be careful and not try to correct your application for which the risk was that they ended up with paint from previous layers as well.

This color appeals alot to me. It is discreet, but the silver adds that little extra that makes it interesting instead of boring.

Models Own Indian Ocean

Nu tänker jag gnälla! För det här lacket var förbaske mig helt omöjligt att fota så att bilderna gör lacket rättvisa!

Lacket är Models Own Indian Ocean. Jag valde att lägga två lager av detta över vita Milani White on the spot. Tyvärr måste jag erkänna att jag inte blev så stormförtjust som jag tänkt mig att jag skulle bli. Snyggt, ja, men inte min grej. Ser ut som frusen is och för min del känns det lite mesigt. Ett babyblått lack med rosa/guldiga multichroma dragningar borde jag räknat ut ser fint ut på andra, men är något som jag själv inte trivs så särdeles bra i.

Att måla med det var i alla fall helt ok och så också torktiden. Jag har ett lager Seche över.

Now I'm going to complain! For this polish was quite impossible to take pictures of that show the tru nature of the color!

The polish is Models Own Indian Ocean. I chose to add two coats of this over the white Milani White on the spot. Unfortunately, I must admit I was not as thrilled as I imagined I would be. Attractive, yes, but not my thing. Looks like frozen ice, and for me it feels a bit wimpy. A baby blue coat with pink / golden multichrome spins is something that I should have figured out looks good on others, but is something that I don't like that much on myself.

It was totaly ok to paint with it and the drying time was also completly normal. I have a layer of Seche.

OPI Divine Swine och lite statistik!

Innan jag går in på lacket som jag bar på Nyårsafton tänkte jag ge er lite statistik från året som gått.

Själv är jag helt frälst vid olika typer av listor och statistik så när jag hittade Google Analytics var det som att få en fin födelsedagspresent!

Nu till lacket som jag bar igår kväll. OPI Divine Swine. Vid den här tiden förra året så visades det här och de andra lacken från The Muppets kollektionen friskt runt om på bloggarna. Jag köpte min flaska någon gång tidigt i somras, men har inte använt den förrän nu.

På julafton gjorde jag en liknande manikyr fast då med OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy with it över 2 lager av NOX twillight Black Tie och den här aftonen blev det då Divine Swine istället. Jag älskar förresten namnet på lacket!

Divine Swine består av lila glitter i olika storlekar och även silver glitter som jag känner är mer framträdande i det här än i Miss Piggy lacket. Jag la på två lager över det svarta cremelacket och över detta ett lager av Seche.

Before I show you the polish I wore on New Years Eve, I thought I would give you some statistics of the past year.

I'm totally crazy about different types of lists and statistics, so when I found Google Analytics, it was like getting a nice birthday present!

Now to the polish that I wore last night. OPI Divine Swine. At this time last year, it was shown at a lot of blogs, this and the other polishes from The Muppets collection. I bought my bottle sometime early this summer, but have not used it until now.

On Christmas Eve, I made a similar manicure but then with OPI Gettin 'Miss Piggy with it over two layers of NOX Twillight Black Tie and this evening it became Divine Swine instead. I love the name of the polish!

Divine Swine consists of purple glitter in various sizes and also silver glitter which I feel is more prominent in this than in the Miss Piggy polish. I put on two coats over the black polish and over that a layer of Seche.

Gott Nytt År! - China Glaze Rare & Radiant

Nä, det här kommer inte att vara min nyårsmanikyr. Den har jag inte målat på än, så den får ni förmodligen se imorgon.

Jag tänkte som så här att det här lacket ingår i ett gäng lack som måste tillhöra årets mest hypade färg. Dupes på Chanels Peridot. Jag har inte originalet, men har förstått att många av kopiorna ligger otroligt nära.

Min tanke med att visa er detta lacket denna årets sista dag är egentligen för att få er att fundera på vad ni tror kommer bli 2013 års grej inom nagelvärlden?

I alla fall så är China Glaze Rare & Radiant ett supervackert lack. Duochromt i guld och grönt. För mig spelar det ingen roll hur många kopior det finns för faktum kvarstår. Det är underbart!

Det här är lätt att lacka med. Man kan nog hålla sig med två lager om man har kortare naglar, men jag skulle ändå säga att det där tredje lagret är värt att lägga på för att fördjupa färgen på lacket. Torktiden var lite segare än vad jag förväntat mig, men inte dålig på något sätt. Jag gillade finishen på lacket som det är så på bilderna är det inte något topplack.

Självklart vill jag passa på att önska er allihopa ett riktigt GOTT NYTT ÅR! Jag hoppas att ni följer med mig under nästa år också. Avslutningsvis får ni idag ett bonusfoto som är passande för dagen. Jag var och kollade på fyrverkeriuppvisning och lyckades knäppa ett riktigt bra foto!

 

Nah, this will not be my New Year's manicure. That I have not painted on yet, so I'll probably show you that tomorrow.

I was thinking like this that this polish is part of a gang of varnish that must belong to this year's most hyped color. Dupes of Chanel's Peridot. I havent got the original, but understand that many of the copies are incredibly close.

My idea to show you this polish this year's last day is really to get you to think about what you think will be 2013th  thing in the nail world?

In any case, China Glaze Rare & Radiant is a super nice polish. Duochrom in gold and green. For me it doesn't matter how many copies there are the fact still remains. It is wonderful!

This is easy to apply. You can probably stick with two layers if you have shorter nails, but I would still say that the third layer is worth adding on to deepen the color of the polish. The drying time was a little tougher than I expected, but not bad by any means. I liked the finish of the polish as it is so in the pictures there are no topcoat.

Obviously, I would like to wish you all a really Happy New Year! I hope you will continue following me next year too. Finally, today you get a bonus photo that is fitting for the day. I was and watched a fireworks show and managed to snap a great photo!
