Essie - Fear or Desire

 Ledig dag, har varit ute på en skön promenad i skogen annars blir det mycket vila på den lediga dagen. Börjar fundera på hur smart det egentligen är att jobba fulltid när jag inte orkar någonting på kvällen när jag kommer hem och väldigt lite på helgen, men vill verkligen inte gå ner i tid igen. 

Jag fortsätter att plocka fram gömda skatter ur min samling med hjälp av random number generator. Den här gången blev det Essie Fear or Desire som plockades fram ur mina gömmor. Lacket kommer från en sommarkollektion som släpptes 2012 och jag visade det här på bloggen i maj 2014. Jag kan inte påminna mig om att jag använt det sen dess. Det är ett knallorange krämlack, lite förvånad blev jag allt när jag behövde tre lager för att få det jämt och bra. 

Färgen är ju fantastiskt härlig måste jag säga, men formulan var inte superbra så chansen finns att det här hamnar i säljlådan för liknande orangea lack finns ju med bättre egenskaper i min egen samling.  

Free day, have been out for a nice walk in the woods otherwise there will be a lot of rest on the free day. Starting to think about how smart it really is to work full time when I can not do anything in the evening when I get home and very little on the weekend, but really do not want to go down in time again.

I continue to pick up hidden treasures from my collection using the random number generator. This time it was Essie Fear or Desire that was picked out of my hiding place. The polish comes from a summer collection that was released in 2012 and I showed this on the blog in May 2014. I can not remember that I have used it since then. It is a bright orange cream polish. I was a little surprised when I needed three coats to get it even and nice.

The color is fantastically lovely, I must say, but the formula was not super good so there is a chance that this ends up in the sales box because similar orange polishes with better properties is found in my collection.

 Lördag igen, blev inget bloggande i veckan, har helt enkelt ingen ork när jag kommer hem på kvällen. Så trött hela tiden. Igår tog jag ett nytt antikroppstest, tänkte att jag kanske tog det förra lite för tidigt, men nej, jag har inga antikroppar. Så i princip har jag ingen nytta av att ha gått igenom den här skiten. Blir en lugn helg, ska i alla fall försöka ta mig ut på promenader. 

Dagens lack kommer från en kollektion som släpptes nyligen och heter Divine. Lacket har nummer 5106 och heter Blue My Mind. Det här är ett matt ljusblått lack med silverskimmer. Vad jag minns så var det två lager jag hade, det var i alla fall lätt att applicera och lätt att få slätt och snyggt vilket jag tycker är viktigt när det är ett matt lack. Jag gjorde som vanligt och la glansigt topplack över först och sen ett matt för att få bättre hållbarhet. 

Det här gillade jag oväntat mycket faktiskt. Tyckte inte det såg superspännande ut i flaskan, men väldigt fint på naglen och den lite sammetsmatta ytan hjälper givetvis till.

Saturday again, became no blogging this week, simply have no stamina when I get home in the evening. So tired all the time. Yesterday I took a new antibody test, thought I might have taken the former a little too early, but no, I have no antibodies. So in principle, I have no use for going through this shit. Will be a quiet weekend, will at least try to take me out for walks.

Today's polish comes from a collection that was recently released and is called Divine. The polish has number 5106 and is called Blue My Mind. This is a matte light blue polish with silver shimmer. From what I remember, there were two coats I had, it was at least easy to apply and easy to get smooth and nice, which I think is important when it is a matte finish. I did as I usually do and put a glossy topcoat over first and then a matte to get better durability.

I unexpectedly liked this really much. Did not think it looked super exciting in the bottle, but very nice on the nail and the slightly velvety surface of course helps.

Zoya - Evvie

 Det blev lite tyst från mig, har börjat jobba helt igen efter min sjukskrivning och jag kan säga att det blir inte mycket annat gjort på kvällarna än att vila. Dessutom har jag äntligen fått hem yngste sonen några dagar så jag har givetvis prioriterat honom framför allt annat, just nu är han hos sina svärföräldrar så då passar jag på att sitta här en liten stund. 

Lacket jag visar idag är jag rätt säker på att jag enbart använt en enda gång. Jag visade det på bloggen i september 2012. Lacket är ett snyggt militärgrönt krämlack. Jag har två lager på bilderna och det räcker gott och väl. Topplack över som vanligt. Suveränt att jobba med även om det i den här flaskan är de gamla smala penslarna. 

En perfekt vardagsfärg skulle man kanske kunna kalla det här. En typ av grön som jag känner funkar fint året om och som jag trivs väldigt bra i. Kommer flaskan att stanna i min samling? Jajamen!

It became a bit quiet from me, I have started working full time again after my sick leave and I can say that there is not much else done in the evenings than to rest. In addition, I have finally brought home the youngest son for a few days so I have of course prioritized him above all else, right now he is with his parents-in-law so then I take the opportunity to sit here for a little while.

The polish I show today, I'm pretty sure I only used it once. I showed it on the blog in September 2012. The polish is a nice military green cream polish. I have two layers in the pictures and that is enough. Top coat over as usual. Great to work with even with the narrow brush that is in this bottle. 

You could perhaps call this a perfect everyday color. A type of green that I feel works well all year round and that I enjoy very much. Will the bottle stay in my collection? Yes it will!

Depend - 551 & 552

 Ännu en helg med fantastiskt väder. Har städat lite och njutit av solen. Man gör ju liksom inte så mycket just nu. Jag har konstaterat att jag inte har det minsta nytta med att ha haft Covid-19, för alla restriktioner gäller fortfarande och jag kan inte gå och ta ett test när jag är förkyld och kan gå till jobbet när det visar negativt. Man ska inte ta nya Covid-19 test inom 6 månader efter man har haft eländet, alltså blir det snällt att stanna hemma tills man varit symtomfri 48 timmar. För övrigt är jag lite nervös över att denna veckan gå upp på fulltid igen på jobbet. 

Idag blir det två lack från kollektionen Highlight the 80's som kom ut 2018. Det rör sig om lacken 552 som är ett lila krämlack och effektlacket 551 som är ett lila lack med rosa skimmer tänkt att användas som effektlack. Och det är precis så ni får se de här lacken idag. 552 som bas och 551 i ett lager över som ger en väldigt fin effekt. Bägge lacken är bra att jobba med och torkar normalfort. Jag har ju alltid snabbtorkande överlack så det där med torktid är oftast inget problem längre. 

Det lila krämlacket har en snygg färg, men när man får på skimmerlacket så blir det här en väldigt fin kombination måste jag säga.

 Another weekend with fantastic weather. Have cleaned the house a bit and enjoyed the sun. There is really not that much to do right now. I have found that I do not have the slightest benefit from having Covid-19, because all restrictions still apply and I can not go and take a test when I have a cold and can go to work when it shows negative. You should not take new Covid-19 tests within 6 months after you have had the misery, so if you get a cold you will have to stay at home until you have been symptom-free for 48 hours. By the way, I'm a little nervous about going up full time again this week at work.

Today, there will be two polishes from the Highlight the 80's collection that came out in 2018. These are number 552 which is a purple cream and the effect polish 551 which is a purple with pink shimmer intended to be used as an effect over other polishes. And that's exactly how you get to see these today. 552 as a base and 551 in one layer over 552 which gives a very nice effect. Both polishes are good to work with and dry normally quickly. I always have quick-drying topcoat, so the thing with drying time is usually not a problem anymore.

The purple cream polish has a nice color, but when you get the shimmer from 551 over it this becomes a very nice combination, I must say.

L.A Girl - Idol

 Helt ljuvligt väder ute idag, tog en promenad på förmiddagen. Annars har jag inte varit så värst kreativ idag. Den här Covid skiten sitter fortfarande i och jag blir fort trött. Men allting blir lite lättare med lite sol och fågelsång. 

I min strävan att använda både otestade och redan använda lack hamnade jag på lack nummer 691 i min lista. L.A. Girl Idol är lacket med det numret. Ett lack som jag senast visade på bloggen 2015. Just L.A Girl är ett märke som jag har tyckt mycket om, men det var typ omöjligt att hitta i Sverige. 2015 och tidigare var det å andra sidan inte dyrt med frakter från USA, så det var därifrån och på olika blogsales som jag inhandlade mina flaskor. Idol är ett jeansblått lack med guldskimmer. Ett eller två lager räcker. Jag har två lager på bilderna. Det är bra formula, men nu när jag börjat vänja mig vid lite bredare penslar så kändes den här lite tanig får jag nog säga. 

Det här är ett jättefint lack, inte särskilt unikt längre, men fortfarande väldigt vackert måste jag säga. Jag vill gärna höra er åsikt om att jag visar lite äldre lack också. Tycker själv det är roligt att plocka fram lite gamla godbitar ur lådorna. 

Absolutely lovely weather outside today, took a walk in the morning. Otherwise, I have not been very creative today. This Covid shit is still hunting me and I get tired quickly. But everything gets a little easier with a little sun and birdsong.

In my quest to use both untested and already used polishes, I ended up on polish number 691 in my list. LA. Girl Idol is the bottle with that number. A polish that I last showed on the blog in 2015. Just L.A Girl is a brand that I have liked a lot, but it was kind of impossible to find in Sweden. In 2015 and earlier, on the other hand, shipping from the USA was not expensive, so it was from there and at various blog sales that I bought my bottles. Idol is a denim blue polish with gold shimmer. One or two layers are enough. I have two layers in the pictures. It's a good formula, but now that I have started to get used to slightly wider brushes, this one felt a bit skinny, I must say.

This is a very nice polish, not very unique anymore, but still very beautiful I must say. I would like to hear your opinion on that I show a little older polishes as well. I think it's fun to pick out some old beauties from the boxes.
