United In Grey!

Jag insåg kanske något sent att Maj månad även är det grå bandets månad. Jag visste faktiskt inte att det fanns ett grått band tills väldigt nyligen, men det står alltså för Hjärncancer, Hjärtumörer. För mig är det här ett väldigt viktigt ämne och därför bestämde jag mig för att jag ville göra något slags tema på bloggen kring detta.

Min tanke är att köra detta 27-31 Maj och det är fritt att delta hur många gånger man vill. Alltså är det inte ett tema man måste köra varje dag.

Jag skulle verkligen uppskatta om vi är många som deltar och har skapat en speciell Facebook grupp för ändamålet där man hittar koder och symboler och liknande.

I realized a bit late that May is the Grey Ribbon month. The Grey Ribbon stands among other things for Brain Cancer awareness or Brain Tumor awareness. This is a subject that is very important for me so I decided that I wanted to do some kind of theme around it. 

I came up with United In Grey a theme that will run through 27-31th of May. My intention is to show Grey manicures either one of the days or all of the days or as many as I will have time for.

Lacky Corner's Favorite Week - HM Blue My Mind

Då har det blivit dags för en vecka av mina favoriter! Jag hade en likande vecka förra året och då var det de här lacken som visades: China Glaze Agro, Riveting och I'm With The Lifeguard. Orly Fresh, Ozotic 513 och Zoya Charla. Ja och så en nailart också förstås. Jag kan konstatera att flera av dom lacken hade jag nog kunnat tagit med i år också, men har man en samling på över 500 lack så kan jag garantera att man inte behöver visa samma favoriter igen.

Det första lacket ut är ett som jag alldeles har för mig att jag hittade i en fyndkorg på HM och oj vilket fynd det här var. Ett så härligt klarblått lack som HM Blue My Mind är har jag svårt för att inte tycka om. Dessutom tycker jag det är kul att jag börjar min favoritvecka med ett svenskt lack.

Det här är inte bara ett billigt lack, som jag dessvärre tror inte säljs längre utan även ett riktigt bra lack. Två lager som är lättmålade är vad som behövs. Och ja självklart så var det ju det här som var basen till min nailart som ni såg igår.

Över det hela har jag ett lager med Digital Flash.

It's time for a week full of my favorite polishes! I had a similar week last year and then it was these polishes that I choosed to show: China Glaze Agro, Riveting and I'm With The Lifeguard. Orly Fresh, Ozotic 513 and Zoya Charla. Yes and a nailart too, of course. I realise that there are several of those that could have been shown this year as well, but in a collection of over 500 polishes I can guarantee you that you don't need to show the same favorites again.

The first polish out is one that I kind of remember that I found in a bargain basket on HM and oh what a find this was. Such a beautiful clear blue polish as HM Blue My Mind is I find really hard not to love. I also think it's great that I start my favorite week with a Swedish brand.

This is not just a cheap polish, which I unfortunately think is not sold anymore but also a really good polish. Two layers that are easily painted is what is needed. And yes of course it was this that was the base of my nailart you saw yesterday.

And over it all, I have a stock of Digital Flash.

Crumpets Got Polish Challenge - Pink

Precis efter nyår så surfade jag runt bland nagelbloggarna och hamnade hos The Crumpet. Det var där jag fick syn på den här utmaningen som jag kände passade mig alldeles utmärkt. Dels för att det inte är mer än en dag i veckan som man har tema och för reglernas skull:

* the polish you use should be at least one year old
* if you haven't been a polishaholic that long, you can use the oldest polishes you have
* the polish should be previously used, but if you're stuck, you could free a yearling from Mount Untried (seriously, some of mine are reaching puberty out there)
* you can use more than 1 polish as long as it fits the theme and the rules

Men alltså kan det bli bättre? På det här sättet så måste jag ju plocka fram dom där glömda guldkornen från lådan och använda. 

Första veckan är temat rosa. Som ni alla vet så är inte det den färgen som finns mest av i min samling, men en del små flaskor finns det allt. Det jag tänker visa er är ett av de första lacken jag köpte när jag verkligen började bli lacktokig. Det kommer från svenska Kicks och heter Flamingo Pink. En flaska som faktiskt är använd flera gånger. Det ni! 

Den allra första gången jag visade det här var 20/2 2012 under min allra första bloggmånad och därför tycker jag det är roligt att plocka fram det här igen och visa er. Lacket är smidigt att måla med. Man behöver tre lager för full täckning. Torktiden är mycket bra. Jag har Seche över på bilderna. Jag tror att det här kan ha börjat säljas 2011, men jag är inte helt säker. 

Jag måste ju säga att ska jag bära rosa så väljer jag gärna den här typen av nyans. Lite knallig i tonen och dessutom med lite blå/lila skiftningar. Jo, jag tycker det är riktigt snyggt, men jag känner mig fortfarande inte hemma i det.

Just after the New Years I was surfing around amongst nail bloggers and ended up at The Crumpet. That's where I saw this challenge that I felt suited me just fine. Partly because there is only one day a week that is included in the theme and for the great rules sake:

Could it get better? In this way, I have to pick up those forgotten beauties from the box and use them.

The first week the theme is pink. As you all know, is not the color that is most represented in my collection, but I do have some bottles anyway. What I'm about to show you is one of the first polishes I bought when I really started getting crazy about polish. It comes from the Swedish brand Kicks and is called Flamingo Pink. A bottle that is actually used several times. 

The very first time I showed this was February 20th in 2012 during my very first blog month and therefore I think it is fun to pick up this again and show you. The polish is easy to paint with. One needs three coats for full coverage. The drying time is very good. I have Seche over it in the images. I might be wrong but I do think that this was released in 2011.

I have to say that if I have to wear pink this is the type of shade I choose. A bright one and this also has blue / purple tones in it. Well, I think it's really neat, but I still don't feel like me when I wear it.

United In Green - A-England Saint George

Idag lyckas jag minsann kombinera Karins United In Green och Skimmerskuggans Holofredag och detta med ett lack som jag köpt genom Karins Nailmail. Bra va!

Och det är minsann inte vilket lack som helst utan ett som stått på min önskelista rätt länge och som absolut lever upp till mina förväntningar. Det här är Saint George från A-England ett tealfärgat lack med en liten diskret och vacker holoeffekt i sig. I mina ögon är det här ett helt fantastiskt lack.

När det kommer till formula tillhör A-England mina favoritlack. Supersmidigt att lacka med och hade jag haft kortare naglar hade jag nog kunnat komma undan med ett lager, nu har jag två och så Poshé över det.

Today I managed to combine Karins United In Green and Skimmerskuggans Holofriday ​​and this with a polish that I bought from Karins Nailmail. Good eh!

And it's certainly not any polish that I show you. This one has been on my wishlist for quite some time and now that I finally got I and painted with it I must say that it absolutely lives up to my expectations. This is Saint George from A-England a tealcolored polish with a little subtle and beautiful holoeffect. In my eyes, this is an absolutely fantastic polish.

A-England is one of my favorite brands when it comes to formula. So easy to apply and if I had shorter nails I'm sure it would have covered in one layer now I have two and Poshe over it.

United In Green - Zoya Giovanna

Idag är jag med på Karins United In Green vecka igen. Veckan som får oss att tänka till lite om depressioner och mental ohälsa.

För mig är det viktigt att väcka uppmärksamhet om just detta. Jag skulle speciellt vilja få er att inse hur många som faktiskt drabbas av förlossningsdepressioner eller nedstämdhet under graviditeten och efter förlossningen. Ett ämne som ligger mig varmt om hjärtat delvis för att jag själv varit en av de här kvinnorna och också för att det fortfarande känns som att det här är ett ämne som är lite tabu.

Jag kan faktiskt inte förstå på något sätt varför man ska behöva skämmas för att man inte mår bra. Just det här med att vara gravid och få barn är ju något som framställs lite i ett rosa moln. Man ska vara så förbaskat lycklig och glad, men alla är inte det. Och jag vill verkligen påpeka att det oftast inte alls handlar om att man inte vill ha det lilla underbara barnet utan precis som med andra typer av depressioner så är det inte ens alltid som man själv förstår varför man är så ledsen.

Så var det för min del. Nyrenoverat hus, en underbar liten son sen tidigare, en man som ställde upp för mig till 100% och ett nyfött välskapt och underbart litet barn. Ändå bara grät jag...

Det tog mig ett antal samtal hos psykologen för att få mig upp från botten igen och då ska jag i ärlighetens namn säga att en riktigt förlossningsdepression hade jag inte, men väl en ordentlig nedstämdhet. Nu är det ju också så att inget ont som inte har något gott med sig. Jag lärde känna mig själv på ett helt annat sätt med hjälp av den mycket duktiga psykologen. Lärdom som jag har haft med mig de 15 åren som redan hunnit gå och som jag har haft nytta av.

Något som både jag och andra faktiskt har haft nytta av är att jag har varit väldigt öppen med hur jag mådde och hur jag fick hjälp. Jag hoppas och tror att det här kan ha hjälpt andra att förstå att det inte är något som varken är ovanligt eller pinsamt att må dåligt under den tiden som borde vara den lyckligaste i hela livet.

Ok, nu blev det väldigt mycket text igen och personligt, men det här är viktigt för mig och jag delar mer än gärna med mig av mina erfarenheter. Och faktum är att jag skulle inte så här i efterhand vilja vara utan den här erfarenheten.

Så för att sammanfatta det hela, mår du dåligt, gå inte omkring och håll det för dig själv. Det finns hjälp och du är inte ensam om det här.

Och nu till lacket! Ett lack som jag borde tokälska, men det gör jag faktiskt inte. Jo, men det är jättefint och extremt svårt att fota så att det verkligen blir rätt. Vilket jag insåg när jag surfade runt att andra också verkat ha problem med. Jag skulle vilja säga att det är mer "vanligt" grönt än vad det ser ut på mina bilder. Och det är just det som får mig att tycka det är fint, men inget extra.

Men Zoya är ju ändå Zoya och det är lättapplicerat och torkar fort. 3 lager tar det och så har jag ett lager Poshé över.

Today I'm participating in Karin's United In Green Week again . The week that has the purpose to make us aware of depression and mental illness .

For me it's important to draw attention to this. I would especially like to make you realize how many people that actually suffer from postpartum depression or depressed mood during pregnancy and after childbirth. A subject that is very close to my heart, partly because I  was one of these women , and also because it still feels like this is a topic that is a bit taboo.

I really can not understand why you should be ashamed for not feeling well. Being pregnant and having a baby is something that always is talked about like being surrounded by pink clouds . You have to be so damn happy and cheerful, but everybody doesn't feel that way. And I really want to point out that it usually is not about not wanting to have that wonderful little child, but just as with other types of depression , it's not even always that you yourself understand why you are feeling so down.

That is the way it was for me. Newly renovated house , a wonderful little son from before , a man who was there for me 100% and a newborn amazing and healthy little baby. Yet the tears kept falling...

It took me a number of conversations with a psychologist to get take me up from the darkness again and then I will honestly say that a true postpartum depression is not what I had, but a real bad baby blues Well you probably heard it before but going through hard times also makes you stronger. I got to know myself in a completely different way with the help of the very talented psychologist . Something that I have had a lot of help from the 15 years that have already  passed and that have helped me when I felt that the mood was going down again. 

Something that I and others have actually taken advantage of is that I 've been very open about how I felt and how I got help . I hope and believe that this may have helped others to understand that it is not something that is neither unusual or embarrassing to feel bad during that time should be the happiest in your life .

Ok, another post with a lot of text again and very personally, but this is important to me and I'm more than happy to share my experience with you.

And now to the polish! A polish that I should totally love, but I'm not to sure about this. Yes, sure it's a lovely polish and extremely difficult to photograph so that it really show it's right color. What I realized when I was surfing around the web is that it seems like others also seemed to have trouble with that. I would say that it is more "normal" green than it looks on my photos. And that is precisely what makes me think it 's nice, but nothing extraordinary.

But Zoya 's still Zoya and it's easily applied and dries quickly . 3 layers is what I have on and then I have a layer of Poshe .

United In Green - Different Dimension Gnarly

Förra veckan var en rosa vecka för att uppmärksamma Rosa Bandet insamlingen, den här veckan är faktiskt grön. Varför? Jo, för något som kommer väldigt mycket i skymundan i Oktober är att det förutom rosa även är en grön månad för att uppmärksamma depressioner och mental ohälsa.

Att det här blivit lite undanskuffat är konstigt egentligen med tanke på att fler av oss förmodligen kommer i kontakt med den här typen av sjukdomar än bröstcancer. Nu har i alla fall Karin på Vacker & Underbar tagit tag i det här och ordnat en grön temavecka kallad United In Green. All information och koder finns att hämta hos henne.

Själv kommer jag inte hinna delta alla dagarna, men idag är jag i alla fall med och jag hoppas kunna delta någon mer dag.

Lacket jag visar er idag är ett alldeles underbart ärtgrönt lack från Different Dimension kallat Gnarly. Jag skrev för ett tag sedan att jag var sugen på mörkare lack nu, men det här lyste upp min tillvaro och jag gillar det väldigt mycket.Att det sen finns ett visserligen lite diskret silver skimmer i det gör inte saken sämre.

Lätt är det att lacka med också. Tre lager har jag på och ett lager Poshé.

Last week was a pink week to raise awareness of Breastcancer, this week is actually green. Why ? Well, something that many of doesn't even know about is that October isn't just a pink month but also a green. This is to raise awareness to depression and mental illness .

It's really sad that this doesn't get more attention. Most of us have probably someone in our family, a friend or someone at work that suffers from depression or other mental illness. Now, in all cases Karin at Vacker & Underbar has started a green theme week called United In Green . All information and codes can be found there.

I havent got the possibility to attend all days of the week, but I will try to participate as many as I can, because this is a very important subject.

The polish I'm showing you today is an absolutely wonderful pea green polish from Different Dimension called Gnarly . I wrote a while ago that I was hungry for darker polishes right now, but this brightened up my life and I like it very much. And the  subtle silver shimmer in it makes it even better in my opinion.

It's really easy to paint with. Three layers is what I have on , and a layer of Poshe .

Tema Svenskt & Nailart Sunday / A Swedish Theme & Nailart Sunday - Grodor

En av de absolut töntigaste traditionerna vi har här i landet måste väl ändå vara att dansa Små Grodorna! Och det är ju det första jag kom att tänka på när Angelica presenterade veckans tema för Nailart Sunday. Just det, Grodor.

Det andra jag kom att tänka på var faktiskt våra Salamandrar som vi hade. Dom har fått flytta till en som har med tid för dom, men tvärtemot vad många tror så är ju inte det en ödla utan ett groddjur.

I alla fall så är ju det här också sista dagen på mitt svenska tema och jag vill passa på att tacka alla för all positiv respons jag fått på ämnet under veckan. Inte omöjligt att det blir en repris på det någon gång i framtiden.

Nu tillbaka till grodorna. Temat är ju svenskt och jag gjorde en variant tidigare i veckan med 2 stycken Depend lack som jag inte var så värst nöjd med. Idag hade jag Isadora Sheer Amethyst på naglarna och det är ju absolut svenskt. Sen fick jag för mig att göra en typ av holonailart av det hela så det gröna i grodorna är gjort med Nubar Reclaim. Njae, det är ju inte svenskt förstås, men jag tycker att grodorna ser rätt svenska ut så det får liksom duga med det!

One of the absolutely most dorky traditions we have in this country must surely be dancing Små Grodorna around the Maypole. Search on You Tube and you will se for yourself! And that's the first thing that came to mind when Angelica presented the theme of the week for Nailart Sunday, Frogs.

The second thing that came to mind was actually our Salamanders we had. They've had to move to one who had more time for them, but contrary to what many think, they are not lizards but amphibians.

In any case, this is also the last day of my Swedish theme and I want to thank everyone for all the positive feedback I received on the topic of the week. It might return sometime in the future.

Now back to the frogs. As I said my Swedish theme is still on and I did a version earlier in the week with 2 Depend polishes that I was not very happy with. Today I had Isadora Sheer Amethyst on my nails and that's definitely Swedish. Then I got an idea to do a type of holonailart of it so the green frogs are done with Nubar Reclaim. Nah, that's not Swedish of course, but I think that frogs look kind of Swedish and that has to be ok. Right?

Tema Svenskt & Läsarnas Val / A Swedish Theme & Readers Choice! - Isadora Sheer Amethyst

Det var ju egentligen det här lacket som fick mig att komma på idén med en svensk vecka. Ja och att det är midsommarveckan också förstås.

För det stod ju klart väldigt snabbt vilket lack det var som skulle vinna förra veckans omröstning och det var Isadora Sheer Amethyst. Dom övriga lacken i omröstningen var: Color Club Almost Famous och Essie Da Bush. Någon frågade mig om jag inte kunde ha med bilden från förra omröstningen i inlägget, men jag väljer att i fortsättningen skriva vilka de andra lacken var också. Hoppas ni tycker det funkar.

Isadora är ett svenskt märke som håller hög kvalité och går att hitta nästan överallt. Både i mer "special" affärer och även i matvarubutikerna. Jag älskar deras pensel, men den är också anledningen till att det finns delade läger angående det här märket. Antingen älskar du den eller hatar du den.

Sheer Amethyst är nog ett de vackraste lacken som ett svenskt "mainstream" märke gett ut. Ett bedårande holo i rosalila. Och ja, jag tycker det är vackert för det drar mer åt lila än åt rosa så det är ett lack som jag faller för helt och hållet.

Sen att det är mycket lättlackat torkar fort som en vind och bara kräver två lager positiva egenskaper som givetvis inte gör saken sämre.

Jag hade hoppats på lite sol ute när jag skulle fota det här, men så tätt molntäcke har jag inte sett på länge! Som vanligt finns det en ny omröstning under fotona.

It was really this polish that made me think of the idea of ​​a Swedish week. Yes and the fact that it's midsummer week too of course.

Isadora is a Swedish brand with high quality and also a brand that is really easy to get hold of. It's sold in both clothes and supermarkets. That I think is great. I love the brush in these bottles, but the brush is also what makes people not like the brand. It's wide and I love it but either you do that or you hate it. 

Sheer Amethyst is probably the most beautiful polish a Swedish "mainstream" label given out. An adorable puple/pink holo. And yes, I think it is beautiful even though it is kind of pink. But the purple in it takes over and makes me love it.

Then it's the fact that it's very easy to apply and dries quickly like a breeze and only requires two coats for full coverage. That does not make things worse. 

I was hoping for some sun when I should take the pictures of this, but there is such a dense cover of clouds so there is no way that the sun would shine through it. As usual, there is a new vote under the photos.

Tema Svenskt! / A Swedish Theme - Cactus Zirconium

Hoppas alla hade en lika trevlig Midsommarafton som jag hade!

Det här inlägget hade jag tänkt lägga ut igår, men det kom åska som förstörde mina planer. Här ute på landet innebär åska utdragande av alla sladdar för att rädda det som räddas kan. Alltså ingen bloggning.

Och om ni undrar var läsarnas val har tagit vägen så ska jag försöka få ut det senare idag. Om det inte åskar i alla fall!

Jag fick även en flaska av Cactus holotopplack skickat till mig. Något som jag verkligen sett fram emot då min lilla flaska från Queens & Shadows håller på att ta slut. Självklart ville jag testa det här så fort som möjligt och när jag väl testat hållbarheten på Astatine så var det Zirconiums tur.

Ni vet ju min lilla önskan om ett orange holo så självklart så tänkte jag testa det här över ett orange lack. Först så åkte ett Depend lack på och vid första lagret såg det magiskt ut, men jag ville ha mer så jag la på ett lager till vilket jag inte skulle gjort. Det blev helt enkelt för mycket. Den lite dimmiga gråaktiga tonen i hololacket tog över för mycket och det blev helt enkelt inte snyggt.

Alltså är lärdomen av det här att den som gapar efter mycket mister oftast hela stycket. Ett lager är tillräckligt och två lager blir inte bra.

Istället så tog jag av alltihopa och la på OPI A Roll In The Hauge som jag sen då pimpade upp med ett lager av Zirconium och vips så hade jag mitt oranga holo!

Lacket är lätt att applicera och torkar fort och bra. Holoeffekten är fin om än inte slående. Ändå så tycker jag att det här är bättre än det jag har haft innan. Det här blir det en tydlig och fin holoeffekt på ett lager när jag fått använde två lager av det andra.

Nu ska ni också ha i åtanke att jag har fått Beta versioner för att testa. Det kan mycket väl hända att vår Cactus ändrar lite innan hon släpper ut det här för försäljning. Jag tycker i alla fall att det är ett bra holo topplack och kan varmt rekommendera det.

My intentions was to post this yesterday, but a thunderstorms destroyed my plans. Were I live in the middle of the countryside thunder means that you will run around the house and make sure that all electrical equipment is disconnected  to save what can be saved. Thus no blogging.

And if you're wondering where the readers' choice has gone I will  try to get it out later today. Well if there is no new thunder that is.

I got a bottle of Cactus holotopcoat send to me to try out. Something that I really looked forward to since my little bottle from Queens & Shadows is about to run out. Obviously I wanted to try this as soon as possible and once I tested the durability of Astatine it was Zirconiums turn.

You know my little desire for an orange holo so of course I thought I would try this over a orange polish. First I applied a Depend polishs and then a layer of Zirconium and it looked amazing, but I wanted more so I added another layer and that was a mistake. There was simply too much. The little misty grayish tone of the holotopcoat took over too much and it didn't look good. 

Ok, so I learned my lesson. Be happy with what you've got and do reach out for more! One layer is enough and two layers are to much.

Instead, I took the whole thing of and put on OPI A Roll In The Hauge who I later then pimped up with a layer of Zirconium and just like that I had my orange holo!

The polish is easy to apply and dries fast and nice. You definitly need a normal top coat over it because it dries a bit dull. The Holo effect is fine if but not striking. Nevertheless, I think this is better than what I had before. This gives you a clearly visable effect with one layer and was not the case with my other one. There you needed two layers. 

Now you should also keep in mind that what I have is a beta versions for testing. It may well be that our Cactus change a bit before releasing it for sale. I think in all cases it is a good holo topcoat and can heartily recommend it.

Tema Svenskt! / A Swedish Theme - Cactus Astatine

Idag ska vi äta sill, grilla och dansa små grodorna! Det vill säga trevlig Midsommarafton på er allihopa!

Vi ska fira tillsammans med familj och goda vänner vilket alltid är trevligt.

Något annat som är trevligt och som jag blev väldigt glad för är att jag har fått förmånen att testa en av våra andra lackmakares Betaversioner av lack som i och för sig varit ute på marknaden innan, men nu har fått en touch up. Jag pratar givetvis om Cactus som då inte bara är ett lackmärke utan även är kvinnan bakom en suveränt bra blogg. Vill man hitta information om innehåll i lack eller om olika finishar så är det dit man ska surfa in. Lättläst och bra om saker som många av oss undrar över.

För mig så har Cactus blogg en särskild plats i mitt hjärta då hon var en av de första som uppmärksammade min blogg när den var ny och redan efter några veckor hade med mig i ett länkkärleks inlägg. Sånt värmer så mycket när man är ny och någon man ser upp till ger en uppmärksamhet.

Men, nu var det ju lacken vi skulle prata om! Det första lacket som jag provat heter Astatine och är en återutgåva av ett av lacken som var med i Cactus första kollektion Spectrum ß. 

Fast jag måste nog säga att det här är ett helt annat lack än det som var med i första kollektionen. När jag hade testat Astatine då så var jag supernöjd med färgen, men inte med hållbarheten. Det lacket tokchippade efter knappt ett dygn. Det gör absolut inte det här. När jag hade haft det på i två dygn så fanns det fortfarande inte en tendens till att chippa, något lite slitet på högerhanden som jag knapprar mest med på tangentbordet på jobbet, men inte mer än att jag lugnt skulle kunnat ha kvar lacket på säkerligen ett eller kanske två dygn till utan att det skulle se illa ut. Alltså ett mycket gott betyg.

Jag vill i och för sig påpeka att jag var extremt noggrann när jag skulle lacka med det här med att se till att det inte fanns något fett på naglarna. Jag varken oljade eller smörjde innan utan efter istället. Allt för att lacket skulle få så bra fäste som möjligt och det funkade ju uppenbarligen.

Formulan var mycket bra. Lättlackad och trevlig. Två lager räcker för täckning om man inte snålar för mycket på första lagret. Torktiden mycket bra. Lacket torkar väldigt matt, men återfår full glans med ett lager topplack och i mitt fall så blev det Fast Forward.

Nu till färgen. Första varianten var mycket mörkare nästan en riktigt svart holo, jag vågar inte riktigt svara på om det kommer bli så den här gången också eller om det kommer vara mer det mörkgråa lack som jag har testat. Jag har ju faktiskt en testflaska och inte den helt slutgiltiga produkten. Jag gillar det här väldigt mycket. Med topplack på så ser det trevligt ut även i skugga. Liknar faktiskt China Glaze Immortal lite grann.

Holoeffekten är jättefin. Upplever inte den som superstark, men snygg.

Allt som allt så tycker jag att vi allihopa ska se fram emot ett nytt kollektionssläpp från vår Cactus och om jag hinner så kommer det ett inlägg till idag med ett holotopplack som förmodligen kommer ingå i den.

Something else that is nice and that I'm very happy about is that I have been privileged to test one of our other Swedish Indimakers Beta versions of her polish that actually has been out in the market before, but now is getting a touch up. I'm talking of course about Cactus that not only is the name of the brand, but also is the woman behind a supremely good blog. If you want to find information about the content of polishes or information about various finishes that's where you should go. Easy to read and lots of information about things that we all wonders about from time to time.

For me, Cactus blog has a special place in my heart because she was one of the first who noticed my blog when it was new and after a few weeks actually on Valentines day had a link to me in a link love post. That means so much when you are a new blogger and of course later also but when someone that you look up to gives you that kind of attention it makes you so happy.

But, it was the polish I was supposed to talk about! The first polish that I tried is called Astatine and is a re-edition of one of the polishes that was in Cactus first collection Spectrum ß

I must say that this is a totally different polish than what was in the first collection. When I had tested Astatine then I was super happy with the color, but not with the sustainability. The polish chipped really bad after barely one day. The new editon does nothing like that. When I had it on for two days, there was still no tendency for chipping, a bit worn on the right hand that I use a lot writing on the keyboard at my work, but no more than that I would calmly consider wearing the polish another one or even two days without it looking bad. That is a very good rating.

I want to point out that I was extremely careful when I applied this. I made sure there was no grease on the nails. I either oiled or used cuticle balm but after instead. All this so the polish would get as good grip as possible and it worked obviously.

The formula was very good. Easy to apply. Two coats is enough for coverage if you don't skimp too much on the first layer. Drying time is very good. The polish dries very dull, but regains full gloss with a layer of top coat and in my case it's a layer of Fast Forward.

Now on to the color. The first version was much darker almost a true black holo, I dare not really answer whether it will be so this time, too, or if it will be more the dark gray coat that I have tested. I have actually a test bottle and not the completely finished product. I like this very much. With top coat on it looks nice even in the shade. A bit similar to China Glaze Immortal I think.

The holoeffect is also very nice. Maybe not ths strongest in the market but good.

All in all, I think we all should look forward to a new collection release from our Cactus and if I have time, there will a post later today with a holotopcoat that will probably be part of it.

Tema Svenskt! / A Swedish Theme - Brite Birds The Dynamo

Tänkte att jag inte bara skulle visa upp lackmärken som är enkla att få tag på den här veckan. Nä, vi har faktiskt två Indiemärken i det här landet också. Säkerligen finns det flera, men det är dom två jag känner till och ett av dom visar jag idag och det andra kommer också att visas. Om du känner till något mer svenskt märke vill jag gärna att du kommenterar och talar om vilket. Inhemska märken ska självklart prioriteras!

Det finns en fantastiskt duktig och kreativ tjej bland oss bloggare som heter Sanna och har bloggen Make Up My Lack. Tidigare har hon också sålt lack under sitt eget märke Brite Bird. Just nu ligger shoppen nere, men jag misstänker att det är många med mig som hoppas att den en dag ska öppna igen.

Jag har inte många lack som jag känner att det gör något om det skulle ta slut, men det här gör det. Lacket heter The Dynamos och märke är ju då som sagt Brite Bird. Anledningen är ju så klart att jag kan inte få tag på det här igen. Inte ens väldigt dyrt på ebay.

Lacket är ett blått crelly, tror jag, för det känns inte riktigt som en jelly med massa, massa blå och silvriga microglitter i det. Den här gången valde jag att lägga det över China Glaze Man Hunt just för att inte slösa för mycket och då har jag två lager för att få upp djupet ordentligt i lacket. Om man använder det för sig själv räcker det med tre lager för full täckning. Över alltihopa har jag Fast forward.

Det här är vackert. Som kärlek i en liten flaska. Det är också det närmaste jag kommer Essie Starry Starry Night det är i och för sig något mörkare i basen, men konceptet känns lika. Jag tror att det här är ett av de vackraste lacken i min samling faktiskt.

I would like to show you something completely different from the mainstream brands that you have seen so far this week. In Sweden we don't have a lot of Indiebrand makers but I do know of two brands and today I will show you one of them. The other will have a post of it's own. If you happens to know of any other Swedish Indiepolish please let me know.

There is a fantastic creative and talented girl among us bloggers called Sanna and her blog is called Make Up My Lack. She has also sold polishes from her own brand Brite Bird before, but right now the brand is on hiatus. I do suspect that there are many of us who hope that one day she will open her shop again

I don't have a lot of polishes that I feel that I would get sad if the bottle would get empty but this is one of them or maybe the only one I have.  The polish is called The Dynamos and the brand as I said Brite Bird. The reason I treasure this so much is because I can't get another bottle not even very expensive on ebay.

The polish is a blue crelly, I think, because it does not feel like a jelly with lots and lots of blue and silver micro glitter in it. This time I chose to put it over China Glaze Man Hunt just to save the precious drops. I have two layers over that. to make the depth of the polish pop up. If you use it on it's own you need three layers for coverage. And then I have a layer of Fast Forward on top. 

This is beautiful. Like love in a small bottle. It is also the closest to Essie Starry Starry Night I will ever get even though SSN is darker at the base, but the concept seems similar. I think this is one of the most beautiful polishes in my collection actually.

Tema Svenskt! / A Swedish Theme - Depend 307

Alltså det enda jag inte gillar med Depend är att dom inte har några namn på sina lack, även om dom faktiskt haft eller har det på vissa special kollektioner.

För övrigt så älskar jag deras pensel. En av dom bättre tycker jag. Återigen så tycker jag väldigt mycket om att man kan gå in i sin lokala mataffär och i väldigt många fall hitta ett ställ med Depend lack! Fatta hur många som spontanshoppar lack på det här sättet. Jo, det är endast 5ml i flaskorna och många tycker att det är ett dyrt pris för så lite lack, men jag håller inte riktigt med. Jag tycker fortfarande att det är prisvärt för en så pass hög kvalité som jag ändå tycker dom här lacken oftast håller.

Nog om detta, nu till dagens nummer eller lack menar jag! 307 åh vad jag tycker du är vacker. Som en lillasyster till ett av mina favoritlack, nämligen China Glaze Riveting. Det innehåller väl mer flakes medans 307 givetvis är ett skimmerlack, för det är lite av Depends signatur. Ett härligt fruktigt orange lack med guldskimmer. Ett vinnande koncept i mina ögon i alla fall.

Det tråkiga med lacket är att jag upplevde det som lite skirt. Fyra lager har jag på. I och för sig lättlackade och lätt torkade lager, men då är vi tillbaka till det där med flaskstorleken. Lite för mycket för ett lack som enbart innehåller 5ml. I vilket fall som helst så tycker jag det här är snyggt, mycket snyggt till och med!

So the only thing I don't like about the Swedish brand Depend is that they don't have any names for their polishes, even if they actually had or have it on some special collections.

First of all: I love their brush. One of the better I think. Again this is a brand that is so easy to get hold of at least here in Sweden. I think a lot of us can go into their local supermarket and in very many cases find a stand with Depend polishes! Just think of how many spontaneous boughts this leads to! Well, it's only 5ml in the bottles and many feel that it is an expensive price for as little paint, but I don't really agree with that. I still think that it is affordable for such a high quality that I thinkt that most of these polishes have.

Enough of that, now to today's number or polish I mean! 307 oh what I think you're beautiful. As a younger sister of one of my favorite nail polish, namely China Glaze Riveting. Riveting has more flakes while 307 of course is a shimmer polish, because it's a bit of Depends signature. A delightfully fruity orange polish with gold shimmer. A winning formula in my eyes anyway.

The sad thing about this polish is that I think it was a bit sheer. Four layers is what I have on. The polish is very easy to paint with. Great formula and the drying time is good to, but then we're back to the bottle size. A little too much for a polish containing only 5ml. In any case, I think this is neat, very neat and even!
