Anna Gorelova - 70 Seagull

Igår var jag ju på en jobbintervju, vet inte redigt hur det gick, men det lär vi få veta. Idag är det som vanligt engelskaläsning som gäller. Och lite städning borde nog hinnas med. Men i alla fall så är det ju alltid lite funderingar innan man ska iväg på intervju om vad man ska ha på naglarna. Ska man vara extrem eller diskret. Jag hade lite olika lack på förslag och lät sonen välja.

Lacket blev ett diskret, men som ändå har lite extra i sig. Anna Gorelova 70 Seagull är ett ljusgrått lack med en fin holoeffekt i sig. Diskret som sagt, men fin. Det är ett väldigt ljust lack och två lager kanske hade räckt, men jag tycker ändå att färgen djupnade fint med det tredje så det är vad jag rekommenderar. 

Jag gillar verkligen den här typen av diskreta snygga lack som ändå glimmar till och har det där lilla extra i sig. Perfekt vid så många tillfällen. Jag har ju inte nämnt något om fågel som det här lacket är döpt efter, för ni kommer väl ihåg att jag skrev hur mycket jag gillar fåglar? Just Fiskmåsar är väl inte direkt favoriter dock, men dom är ganska fina på foton i alla fall.

Yesterday I was on a job interview, I don't know how it went, but I will get a call sometimes next week. Today I will as usual do my English homework. And some cleaning should really need to be done. But in any case, I always have a lot of thoughts before going to an interview about what to wear on the nails. Should you be extreme or discreet. I had some different polishes on suggestions and my son choosed.

It became a discrete polish, but still with a little extra. Anna Gorelova 70 Seagull is a light gray with a nice holo effect in it. Discreet as said but nice. It is a very light polish and two layers might have been enough, but I still think the color deepened a bit more with the third so that's what I recommend.

I really like this kind of discreetly beautiful polishes that still has that little extra spark in it. Perfect on so many occasions. I have not mentioned anything about the bird that this is baptized after, because you remember that I wrote how much I like birds? But Seagulls is really not any of my favorites though, but they are pretty nice on photos anyway.

Reader's Choice - Turtle Tootsie Polishes Grease Lightning

Lördagen är här och vi förbereder återigen huset för lite 20-års firande. Ikväll kommer sonens svärföräldrar och det blir dubbelfirande eftersom hans tjej också fyller 20 om bara några dagar. Så jag ser fram emot en trevlig kväll.

Det finns ett ordspråk som säger: Somliga straffar gud genast och igår kände jag lite så. Jag gick in på Rusta och hittade en hel hög med OPI och som jag skrivit tidigare kostar dom just nu 20 kronor styck där. Gick ut från butiken med 16 nya lack. Ja, ni läste rätt 16 stycken. Och vad händer sen? Jo, jag bryter en av naglarna på min fotohand låångt ner och på ett mycket icke reparationsaktigt sätt. Så går det när man inte ska köpa mer lack...

Alltså blir det små korta naglar som jag presenterar denna veckas läsare på. De andra stackars lacken hade inte någon större chans mot Turtle Tootsie Polishes Grease Lightning. Det här lacket är ett mycket ljusgrått lack med både holo och prismatiskt glitter i. Jag har två lager på bilderna, men det kan vara så att man behöver ett tredje om man har längre naglar med lite fria tippar. Det är bra att jobba med.

Trivsamt är ordet som hoppar upp i min hjärna när jag tittar på det här lacket. Ett lack som går att bära vid alla möjliga tillfällen. Jag tycker det här är mycket fint, men kanske inte ett lack som hoppar upp bland mina gråa favoriter.

Och nu är det dags för er att rösta fram nästa veckas lack. Sonen kallade de här tre för schlagertrion. Mycket bling bling antar jag.

It's Saturday and we are once again preparing the house for a 20 years celebration. Tonight, the son's in-laws will be here and we will celebrate his girlfriend as well since here 20th birthday is just around the corner. So I'm looking forward to a nice evening.

In Sweden we have a saying that goes kind of like this: Sometimes God punish you right away (that was a very straight translation from swedish) and yesterday I felt a bit like that. I went to Rusta and found a whole lot of OPI and, as I wrote in one of my haul posts they are about $2.40 each which is soo cheap here in Sweden. They normaly cost about 19 USD in stores. Went out from the shop with 16 new bottles. Yes, you saw the correct number! And what happend next? Well, I broke one of the nails in my photo hand and in a very non-repairable manner. That's the way things go when you go ahead buying lots of polishes knowing that you really shouldn't.

So therefore you will get to see this weeks reader's choice on very short nails. The other polishes didn't have a chance against Turtle Tootsie Polishes Grease Lightning. This polish is a very light gray with both holo and prismatic glitter in it. I have two layers in the photos, but you might need three if you have longer nails. It's good to work with.

Pleasant is the word that jumps up in my mind when I look at this polish. A one that can be worn at all sorts of occasions. I think this is very nice, but maybe not one that will go down as one of my gray favorites.

Depend O2 - 542

Idag visar jag ett lack ur Depend O2s vårkollektion Retro Glam. Det ljust ljust gråa eller möjligen blåa 542.

Mycket bra att lacka med för att vara en så ljus färg. Jag har två lager och tycker det räcker gott. Kändes inte alls speciellt strimmigt ens efter första faktiskt. Torktiden är helt ok. På bilderna har jag topplack över.

Idag är jag också med i @glamnailschallenge Instragram challenge som har temat rosetter. Mina rosetter är små nageldekorer också från Depend, vilket jag tyckte var passande.

Vi kan väl börja med att prata lite om lacket. Jag gillar det här väldigt mycket. Ännu en mycket ljus och fräsch vårfärg. Jag tycker att det blev ganska gulligt med rosetterna, men i ärlighetens namn gillar jag nog det bättre utan.

Today I will show you a polish from Depend O2's Spring Collection Retro Glam. The bright bright grey or maybe with a hint of blue 542.

Very good to work with to be such a bright color. I have two layers and think that's  enough. Didn't feel particularly streaky even after the first layer. The drying time is quite ok. In the pictures I have topcoat over.

Today I'm also joining @glamnailschallenge Instragram challenge that has the theme of bows. My bows are small nail stickers also from Depend, which I thought was appropriate.

We can start by talking a bit about the polish. I like this very much. Another very bright and fresh spring color. I think it became pretty cute with the bows, but I honestly like it better without.

OPI - Coalmates

Vilken söndag det blev för oss! Jag plockade fram julsakerna och testade ljusslingan till granen, sönder.. Eller några av ljusen var det så vi åkte för att köpa reservljus. Visade sig att det skulle bli dyrare än en ny slinga, så när granen ska kläs i år blir det med nya ljus. Efter det åkte vi hem och skulle fixa lite när tvättmaskinen börjar låta mycket skumt. När min man skulle tömma den var tvätten dyblöt och när vi försökte köra lite centrifugering så hade vår fina gamla vän gett upp. Det var bara att åka till stan och köpa tvättmaskin.

Jag hade tänkt att blogga och fixa rätt mycket idag, men då strulade det med julklapparna till min mans företag så det blev att ordna med det istället och umgås med sonen som äntligen börjar bli bra efter sin halsfluss. Men nu har jag då äntligen fixat till mina naglar med en riktigt snygging.

OPI Coalmates är ett svartgrått lack med både skimmer och lite prismatiskt glitter i. Underbart att jobba med. Täcker på två lager. Jag har topplack över, vilket rekommenderas för hållbarhetens skull, men för glansigheten funkar det utan.

Ännu ett lack ur OPI:s julkollektion som inte är så värst julaktigt om man inte tänker på att i vissa sagor så får stygga barn kolbitar i sin julstrumpa förstås. Juligt eller ej så tycker jag det här är supersnyggt och jag funderar faktiskt på att bära det här på julafton till min klänning som är vinröd med en massa mönster.

What a Sunday we had! I dug up our Christmas ornaments from the wardrobe where we keep them and tested the lights for the Christmas tree, broken. Or some of the lights were so we went to buy some extra. Turned out that it would be more expensive to do so than a new loop, so our Christmas tree will ha brand new lights in it this year. After that we went home and started to do all the stuff that needs to be taking care of when suddenly our washing machine started to sound really weird. When my husband was to empty it, the laundry was soaking wet and when we tried to do an extra centrifugation, our nice old friend had given up. Back in the car and a trip to town to buy a new machine.

My plan was to do a lot of blogging today, but then it turned out that the gifts my husband and his companion was going to give their employees had not turned up as the should, so I had to help out a bit with that instead and I was hanging out with my son who finally starts getting well after his tonsillitis. But now I've finally fixed my nails with a really nice look.

OPI Coalmates is a black-gray polish with both shimmer and a little prismatic glitter in. Great to work with. It covers in two layers. I have topcoat over, which is recommended for sustainability, but for the shine it works without.

Another polish from this years OPI Christmas collection, which doesn't excatly scream Christmas season if you don't think of the fact that in some fairy tales, naughty kids get a piece of coal in their Christmas stockings. Christmas like or not, I think this is super nice and I'm actually thinking of wearing this on Christmas Eve, I think it would look great to my dress, which is wine red with a lot of patterns.

CND Vinylux Winter Nights & Mystic Slate

Idag är det blå måndag hos Emelie och jag är har en enkel nail art att visa.

Lacken som jag har använt mig av kommer båda från CND Vinylux Glacial Illusion kollektion som är deras vinterkollektion. Det är det jeansblåa något dammiga krämlacket Winter Nights och det blågrå Mystic Slate som också är ett krämlack. Bägge har väldigt bra egenskaper och är väldigt bra att måla med. Winter Nights behöver två lager, men Mystic Slate kan man nog komma undan med ett lager av. På bilderna har jag topplack över.

För att göra det hela lite roligare stämplade jag en liten ängel från Über Chics Holiday Jingle platta på min accentnagel. Och det som är bra är att det är Winter Nights som jag stämplat med. Alltså funkar det utmärkt till detta.

Jag tycker bägge de här färgerna är riktigt fina och funkar fint i en vinterkollektion. Kanske inte så spännande, men absolut färger som jag trivs i och dom kompletterar varandra väldigt fint.

Today is blue Monday at Emelies and I have a simple nail art to show.

The polishes I've used are both from the CND Vinylux Glacial Illusion collection, which is their winter collection. It's the jeans-blue, somewhat dusty cream polish Winter Nights and the blue-gray Mystic Slate, which is also a cream. Both have very good formula and are very good to paint with. Winter Nights needs two layers, but Mystic Slate could cover in one. In the pictures I have topcoat over.

To spice up the manicure a bit, I stamped a little angel from the Über Chics Holiday Jingle plate on my accent nail. And what's good is that it's Winter Nights that I stamped with. It works well for this.

I think both of these colors are really nice and work fine in a winter collection. Maybe not so exciting, but absolute colors that I enjoy wearing and they complement each other very well.

Essie - Maximillian Strasse Her

Det var väldigt länge sedan jag visade något från Essie här, men idag vänder vi på den trenden. Essie har i samarbete med Sofi Fahrman gett ut en liten samling av lack som hon valt ut som favoriter och ett av de lacken är Maximillian Strasse Her. Ett lack som gått mig helt förbi innan.

Lacket har en gråblå färg och är ett krämlack. I beskrivningen på Essies sida så säger dom grågrön, men det tycker inte jag. Det är helt ok att lacka med, men man bör ta lite flödigare första lager för att inte få kala fläckar. Det hade en liten tendens att penseln ville dra med sig lacket om man kom åt där man redan målat. Dock inte om man tagit lite tjockare lager redan från början. Täckningen är bra. Två lager räcker och torktiden är också bra. Jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Av de sex lacken ur den här lilla minikollektionen så började jag nog med det som jag kände mig mest dragen till. Det här är en färg som jag uppskattar väldigt mycket. Jag tycker den är stilren, lugn och behaglig. Definitivt en tumme upp från mig.

It was a very long time since I showed something from Essie here, but today I will turn that trend around. Essie, in cooperation with Sofi Fahrman, has released a small collection of her favorites from the brand and one of those is Maximillian Strasse Here. A polish that had completely missed out on before.

The polish has a gray-blue color and is a cream. In the description on Essie's side, they say gray-green, but I don't think so. It's perfectly ok to work with but an advice is to take a little thicker first layer to avoid getting bare spots. There was a slight tendency for the brush to take the paint with it if you did a stroke over an already painted area. But not if you have taken a little thicker layer from the beginning. The coverage is good. Two layers are enough and the drying time is also good. I have a layer of top coat over in the pictures.

Of the six polishes from this little mini collection, I started with the one I felt most drawn to. This is a color that I appreciate very much. I think it's stylish, calm and makes me feel comfortable. Definitely a thumbs up from me.

CND Vinylux - Mercurial

I augusti så släppte CND sin nya Nightspell kollektion i både Vinylux och Shellac, jag har fyra av lacken från denna och idag är det dags för Mercurial att bli först att visas.

Lacken i Vinylux serien är kombinerade med baslack, vanligtvis så brukar jag glömma det och ändå ha någon typ av bas under, men inte idag. Det där har både sina plus och minussidor. Plus för att det blir ett moment mindre, men minus just på mig eftersom jag har ganska ojämna naglar och normalt sett använder en ridgefiller som underlack. I vilket fall som helst så måste jag säga att lacket var väldigt bra att måla med och två lager räckte för täckning. Jag har använt mig av CND:s topplack i Vinylux serien för att avsluta manikyren. Enligt deras egna uppgifter ska en sådan här manikyr kunna räcka i ca en veckan något som jag inte kommer att kunna bekräfta då det troligen inte alls kommer att sitta kvar så länge eftersom jag byter lack nästan varje dag just nu, men om jag reser iväg någon gång kommer jag att hårdtesta.

Nu till färgen på lacket. Silvergrå eller Silver med en grå ton foil, du kan själv välja. Jag själv måste säga att det här tilltalar mig väldigt mycket. Trodde nog inte det skulle vara så snyggt som det är. Dock är jag rätt säker på att jag kommer använda det med mitt vanliga baslack nästa gång då jag tycker att mina "räfflor" i naglarna syns igenom lite väl mycket annars.

In August, CND released it's new Nightspell collection in both Vinylux and Shellac series, I have four of the polishes from this and today it's time for Mercurial to be first out.

The Vinylux polishes is combined with base coat, I usually forget that and still put on my regular base coat but not today. It has both its plus and minus. Plus, because it will be one step less to get a nice manicure and minus for me because I have quite a lot of ridges on my nails and usually use a ridge filler as base. In any case, I have to say that the polish was very good to paint with and two layers were enough for coverage. I have used the CND's topcoat in the Vinylux series to finish the manicure. According to their own information, such a manicure should be able to last for about a week something that I will not be able to confirm since it will probably not last for as long as I change my polish almost every day right now, but if I will go on a vaccation sometime I will test this for real.

Now to the color of the polish. Silver gray or Silver with a gray tone you can choose. The finish is foil.  I myself have to say that this appeals to me very much. Never thought it would be as nice as it is. However, I'm pretty sure I'll use it with my usual basecoat next time since I think my ridges shines through a bit too much this way.

Reader's Choice - Ozotic 532

Den här veckan tycker jag nog tyvärr inte att ni valde någon höjdare åt mig. Ozotic 532 fick helt klart flest röster, men jag blev lite besviken på det.

För det första så är det skirt, men det är ju rätt vanligt när det kommer till duochrome lack. Jag har tre lager och det funkade rätt bra faktiskt. Torktiden var lite smått seg, inte något som ger pluspoäng när det är skirt.

Ja, ja lite skirt och tråkig torktid är väl en sak, men jag tycker faktiskt lacket är rätt tråkigt. Tanken är nog att det ska skifta mellan grått och rosa och det gör det väl också lite diskret, men på bild var det störst omöjligt att fånga. Visst det kanske hade gjort sig mycket bättre över t.ex ett svart eller mörkblått, men jag testar allt som oftast utan några underkläder och i det här fallet var det fel.

Så tyvärr får ni rätt tråkiga bilder av ett lack som ändå ser bra mycket roligare ut på bild än i verkligheten.

Vi börjar ju närma oss jul.... Eller det kanske var att ta i, men visst är det dags att för ett rött och fint till nästa läsarnas val.

Unfortunately, this week, I don't think that you chose a very nice polish for me. Ozotic 532 clearly got the most votes, but I was a little disappointed with it.

Firstly, it's a sheer one, but it's quite common when it comes to duochrome. I have three layers and that worked really well. The drying time was a bit slow, not something that gives plus points when it's sheer as well.

Yes, a little sheer and slow drying time could be ok, but I think the polish is quite boring. The idea is that it should change between gray and pink, and it also does that but very discreet, but that was completely impossible to catch on photo. Sure it might have done a lot better over a black or dark blue, but I usually try it out without any underwear and in this case that was wrong.

So unfortunately you get pretty boring pictures of a polish that still looks a lot more fun in the photos than in reality.

Christmas is getting closer..... Or maybe that was a bit excessive, but it's time to make a nice red the next readers' choice.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes - Alex P. Keaton

Jag måste erkänna att jag aldrig följde Fem i Familjen med Michael J Fox, men det betyder ju inte att jag inte kan gilla ett lack som är uppkallat efter hans rollfigur ändå.

Alex P. Keaton är ett grått lack med svag holoeffekt och microglitter. Riktigt trevligt att jobba med, men något skirt så tre lager behövdes. Torktiden var dock riktigt bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Häromdagen när jag hade det royalblå lacket skrev jag att det var en färg som jag trivs väldigt bra i och detsamma gäller för den här typen av gråa lack. Det är inte världens mest upphetsande färg, men jag tycker den är trevlig och lagom diskret om man kanske vill ha något på naglarna, men ändå inte sticka ut alltför mycket. Jag gillar det blåa skimret väldigt mycket.

I must admit that I never followed Family Ties with Michael J. Fox, but that does not mean I that I wouldn't like a polish that is named after his character in that show.

Alex P. Keaton is a gray polish with a weak holoeffect and micro glitter. Really nice to work with, but a bit sheer so I needed three layers for coverage. The drying time was really good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

The other day when I had the royalblue polish I wrote that it was a color that I really enjoy wearing and the same goes for this kind of gray hue. It's not the world's most exciting color, but I think it's nice and discreet enough to wear if you want something on the nails but still doesn't want to stand out too much. I like the blue shimmer in it really much. 

 

Depend O2 - 5035 Reindeer Dash

Det blir ett till lack från Depend O2s Rough Glitter kollektion hos mig idag. Jag plockade upp 5035 Reindeer Dash ur min låda.

Det här är som övriga i kollektionen ett sandlack. Reindeer Dash är grått med silverglitter. Det täcker på två lager och som jag skrivit om de andra sandlacken så torkar det inte riktigt lika fort som om man kan lägga på topplack, så var lite försiktiga en stund efter ni målat. Men, jag vill också påpeka att det inte på något sätt är en lång torktid, men man är liksom lite bortskämd.

Jag gillar gråa lack och tycker att det här är riktigt trevligt. Kanske inte det jag skulle välja att ha på julafton, men jag kan absolut tänka mig att plocka fram flaskan igen.

There will be another polish from Depend O2s Rough Glitter collection at the blog today. I picked up 5035 Reindeer Dash out of my box.

This is like the rest of the collection, a textured polish. Reindeer Dash is gray with silver glitter. It covers in two layers and as I wrote about the other polishes in the collection you have to think about the fact that this doesn't dry quite as quickly as if you had a topcoat on, so be a bit careful a while after you painted. But, I would also like to point out that there isn't a slow drying time, but if you like me are used to quick drying topcoat it feels a lot longer. 

I like gray polishes and think this is really nice. Maybe not what I would choose to wear on Christmas Eve, but I can definitely see myself picking up the bottle again.

 

Reader's Choice - Zoya Troy

Vet ni? Det är bara en vecka kvar till julafton! Själv tänkte jag nog börja pynta lite här i huset idag.

Men lite pyntning får ju inte stå i vägen för veckans läsarnas val. Det blev Zoya Troy som vann omröstningen och ganska övertygande dessutom. Troy är ett grått/silvrigt metallic lack som enligt kollektionsbeskrivningen ska täcka på ett lager och det gör det också. Det är en ganska tjock formula på lacket, men jag gillar det så mig gör det absolut ingenting. Torktiden är helt ok och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är riktigt fint, men inte min favorit av de jag testat från Urban Grunge kollektionen. Men det betyder ju absolut inte att lacket inte är en riktig höjdare för det tycker jag nog att det är.

Nästa lördag är det julafton och vi svenskar har ju det som den största dagen på julhelgen och min tanke är att ni ska få hjälpa mig att välja mitt jullack. Jag har plockat fram tre röda favoriter som ni får välja bland.

Can you imagine that it's only a week til' Christmas? I think I will start decorating our house today. 

But before that it's time to present this weeks reader's choice. It was Zoya Troy that won the vote and rather convincingly too. Troy is a gray / silvery metallic paint which, according to the description of the collection should be a onecoater and that is actually true. It has a pretty thick formula but I like that so for me it's a good thing. The drying time is quite ok and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is really nice, but not my favorite of the ones I tested from the Urban Grunge collection. But that doesn't mean that it's not a great polish because it really is. 

Next Saturday is Christmas Eve and for us Swedes that is when we celebrate Christmas and my thought is that you should help me chose my Christmas manicure by voting on one of my favorite red polishes. 

Depend 7 Day - The Nutcracker

Två av de snyggaste julkollektionerna i år kommer kanske något oväntat från Depend. Båda deras har många fantastiskt fina lack.

Idag tänkte jag visa ett från Depend 7 Day som heter The Nutcracker. Det här är ett grafitgrått lack med massor av fint, fint pristmatiskt glitter i. Jag har tre lager på bilderna, men jag tror att det räcker med två om man har något kortare naglar än vad jag har just nu. Måste också tillägga att jag verkligen gillar Depends lite bredare borste, riktigt trevlig att jobba med. Torktiden var helt ok och på bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack på.

Det här gick verkligen hem hos mig. Återigen så blir betyget enligt julskalan en stjärna i toppen av granen vilket är ett mycket gott betyg.

Two of the best looking Christmascollections this year comes from, at least in my opinion, Depend. Both of those consists of really amazing polishes.

Today I will show one from Depend 7 Day called The Nutcracker. This is a graphite gray polish with lots of fine, fine pristmatic glitter. I have three layers on in the pictures, but I think that two might be enough if you have shorter nails than what I have right now. I must also add that I really like Depends wider brush it's really nice to work with. The drying time was ok and in the pictures I have as usual topcoat on.

This certainly spoke to me. I like it a lot. Again according to the Christmas scale this is the star in the top of the tree, which is a very good rating.

 

Nail Art Sunday - Toys

Emma som tillsammans med Sminkan har bloggen Sminkan & Emma föreslog att vi skulle ha leksakstema denna söndagen och jag tänkte att det är väl klart vi ska då.

Men oj vad jag fick fundera på vad jag skulle hitta på. Jag surfade runt på nätet och hittade söta nalle manikyrer och det påminde mig om min gråa fina nalle som jag hade när jag var liten och som jag fortfarande har kvar någonstans.

Jag hittade ett gammalt favoritlack med rätt färg nämligen Depend 194 och så har jag använt Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot och lite penslar och dottingtools.

Förutom att topplack smetade ut lite färg så är jag jättenöjd med den här manikyren. Och eftersom jag dessutom satte dit prickar så kvalificerar sig den även till månadens The Nail Challenge Collaborative :)

Emma who along with Sminkan runs the blog Sminkan & Emma suggested that we would have a toy theme this Sunday and I thought why not.

But I got to think hard on what to do. I surfed around the net and found some sweet teddy bear manicures and it reminded me of my lovely gray teddy bear that I had when I was little and I still have somewhere.

I found an old favorite polish of the right color from Depend with the number 194 and I've also used Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot and some brushes and dottingtools.

I'm really happy with this manicure, the only thing I don't like is that the topcoat smeared the colors a bit. And since I added the dots this also qualifies to this months Nail The Challenge Collaborative :)

Depend O2 - 5043 Night Potion

Idag är det fredag och det innebär inofficiell holofredag hos Sminkan & Emma. Jag ville testa ännu ett av lacken från HOLO Fantasy och den här gången blev det 5043 Night Potion.

Night Potion är ett grafitgrått lack med en ganska svag holoeffekt, men ändå tillräckligt för att ge lacket djup. Två lager räcker även med detta lack. Verkar vara genomgående på alla i kollektionen. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är ju inte precis någon unik färg. Visst är den fin och jag trivs i den, men absolut inte någon favorit från kollektionen.

I just love the names of the polishes in the HOLO Fantasy collection! Now I said it :)

Today it's friday and that means unofficial holofriday at Sminkan & Emmas. I wanted to try out another polish from the HOLO Fantasy collection and this time it's 5048 Night Potion that I have on. 

Night Potion is a graphite grey polish with a nice but subtile holo. Still it does give the polish a lot of depth. Two coats is enough just as it has with the rest of the polishes I've tried so far from the collection. The drying time was good and on the pictures I have topcoat on. 

Well this isn't exactly a unique color but it sure is pretty and I do feel comfortable wearing it. But it's not a favorite from the collection.

Jag har varit iväg på semester i London och när det var dags att fixa naglarna inför resan ville jag ju givetvis ha något som skulle hålla bra. Är jag på semester fixar jag inte alls med naglarna och tar mig inte tid att byta lack.

Jag fick för mig att jag skulle testa Depend 7 Day systemet och se om det verkligen håller vad det lovar. Så jag har gjort exakt som det står i beskrivningen. Rengjort, använt avsätt baslack, färg och topplack. För mig blev nog största problemet baslacket. Jag använder nämligen normalt sett ridgefiller eftersom jag har ganska "randiga" naglar, så visst sken det igenom något mer än vad det brukar göra när jag är färdig, men ändå inte så att det såg gräsligt ut.

I alla fall så hade jag ett otestat 7 Day lack som heter BFF Best Friends Forever som jag använt. Det är ett mellangrått krämlack i en trevlig grå nyans. En färg som jag var säker på att jag skulle trivas i fler än två dagar. Jag har två lager av detta och sen det speciella topplacket som ska användas till systemet.

I beskrivningen står det att man helst ska lägga på ett nytt lager topplack var tredje dag. Det har jag inte gjort eftersom jag valde att inte plocka med mig något mer nagelrelaterat än en fil och lite olja.

Jag målade med det här den 8/7 och vi kom hem den 13/7. Visst jag har ju mest turistat, men det blir en hel del handtvättning, man går i affärer och petar på saker och jag lyckades slå i naglarna någon gång också. På min vänsterhand hade jag vid hemkomst inte en enda chippning, visst lite tipwear, men inte så det störde direkt. På högerhanden fanns det en del, men det berodde nog mest på att jag på den handen har ett par naglar som skivar sig och en gick också sönder. Annars tror jag faktiskt det hade hållit även där.

Jag är riktigt nöjd med både hållbarheten och hur glansen höll sig på naglarna. Visst en påfyllning av topplack är säkert att föredra, men det funkade ju ändå!

I've been away on vacation in London and when it was time to fix my nails before the trip I really wanted something that would work until I came home again. When I'm on vacation I don't pay any attention to my nails. I don't bring any extra polish and definitly wont change polish during the vacation. 

I therefore decided to try out the Depend 7 Day system and see if it really delivers what it promises. So I have done exactly as it says in the description. Used the cleanser to get rid of oil and other stuff on the nails, used the special basecoat, color and topcoat. For me the biggest problem was the basepolish. I normally use ridge filler because I have quite a lot of ridges in my nails, so sure it didn't make them as even as I'm used to, but it worked.

In any case, I had an untested 7 Day polish called BFF Best Friends Forever that I used. It's a medium gray cream polish in a nice shade of gray. A color that I was sure that I would be able to have on my nails for more than two days without going crazy. I have two layers of this and then the special topcoat that is supposed to use with this system.

In the description it says that you should preferably add a new layer of topcoat every third day. I have not done that since I chose not bring any more nail-related stuff than a file and some oil.

I painted with this on the 8th and we came home on the 13th. Sure, I have mostly been doing sightseeing stuff, but there has been a lot of hand washing, going into shops and looking through things and I managed to get some blows on the nails sometime too. On my left hand I had at homecoming, not a single chipping. On the right hand there was some, but I honestly think that if my nails on the right hand hadn't had problems with them scaling and actually one broke I don't think there would have been chipping on that hand either. Sure there were som tipwear, but nothing too much.

I'm really happy with both the sustainability and how the gloss remained on the nails. Certainly a new coat of topcoat every third day is preferable, but it worked anyway!
