My Top 5 Orange Polishes

Dags för ännu ett inlägg i min Topp 5 serie och färgen orange. Jag gillar verkligen oranga lack, men har faktiskt inte supermånga. Ändå var det rätt svårt att välja ut enbart fem stycken. Och som vanligt så har jag valt både med hjärta och öga. 

Nu när hösten är här så tycker jag det här är en färgkategori som passar bra och jag vill gärna veta vilka favoriter ni har i era samlingar. 

Så låt oss börja!

Time for another post in my Top 5 series and the color orange. I really like orange polishes, but I really haven't gotten that many as you might think. Yet it was kind of hard to choose only five. And as usual, I have chosen both with my heart and eyes.

Now that fall is here, I think this is a color category that fits well and I'd love to know what Favorites you have in your collections.

Let's begin!

Först ut är Zoya Amy ett ganska eldigt skimmerlack som jag burit ett flertal gånger och gärna återkommer till. 

First out is Zoya Amy a shimmer that I have worn several times and like to get back to. 

Darling Diva Charger är ett helt fantastiskt glitterlack som det verkligen sprakar om. Synd att det inte görs längre för det här behöver man i sin samling om man gillar orange. 

Darling Diva Charger is an amazing glitter polish that really sparkles. It's just a shame that it's no longer available because this is a must if you like orange polishes. 

Pretty Serious My Darlin' Clementine. Den här bar jag på vår första långresa med älskade MG:n och jag kunde konstatera att det satt som berget och var supervackert i solskenet. 

Pretty Serious My Darlin' Clementine is the polish I wore on our first longer trip with our beloved MG and I can tell you that this lasts really good on the nails and the shine of it in the sunshine is amazing.

Japp här kommer ännu ett lack ur L.A Girls 3D Effects serie. Det här är Electric Coral ett lack som är så himla fint. Synd att dom här inte vad jag vet i alla fall går att få tag på längre för hela serien är fantastiskt fin. 

Ok here comes another polish from L.A Girls 3D Effect series. This is Electric Coral a polish that is just amazing. Too bad that you can't find these anymore. at least I don't think you can, because it's certinaly one of my favorite collections.

Ok nu till min allra första oranga kärlek och kanske fortfarande den allra största kärleken av dom alla. China Glaze Riveting, lacket som tillsammans med Agro fick mig att läsa Hungerspelen. Det här är bara så fint och om du inte har det så borde du skaffa dig det medans det fortfarande finns att få tag på lite här och där för det här är och förblir ett fantastiskt lack med ett så himla fint skimmer. 

And now to my first orange polish love and maybe still the biggest love of them all. China Glaze Riveting the polish that together with Agro made me read the Hunger Games books. This is just so pretty and if you don't have it I tell you to get it while it's still possible because this is a fantastic polish with such a beautiful shimmer.

Reader's Choice - Darling Diva Polish Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard!

Solen skiner och vädret är perfekt för en tur i MG:n senare idag, men först ska jag se till att ni får lite att läsa även kommande dagar.

Lördag innebär som vanligt Läsarnas val och det var väldigt kul att se att så många röstade förra veckan. Resultatet var tydligt rätt tidigt. Dom andra två lacken hade inte någon chans mot Darling Diva Polish Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard! Vilket namn! Långt, fast rätt kul tycker nog jag i alla fall.

Det här lacket tänker jag låta vara med i veckans The Neverending Story Challenge också för det är absolut ett sånt där lack som jag bara var tvungen att ha. Jag köpte det här och ett annat rött som jag också bara skulle ha i Januari så visst har jag andra lack som stått längre, men ändå.

Are You Medusa? är ett mörkt vinrött lack med en trevlig holoeffekt i sig. Inte jättetydlig effekt, men återigen en sån där som gör att lacket får ett fantastiskt djup. Jag upplevde för första gången (tror jag) att penseln var lite spretig i ett DD lack, men för övrigt så var det trevligt att lacka med och täcker utan minsta problem på två lager. Torktiden var också riktigt bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är bara så himla fint. Jag är väldigt glad att jag har det i samlingen och beslutet att jag bara skulle ha det var helt rätt.

The sun is shining and the weather is perfect for a tour with our MG later today, but first I'll make sure that you have something to read next week.

Saturday means as usual Readers choice and it was great to see that so many people voted last week. The result was evident quite early. The other two polishes had no chance against Darling Diva Polish Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard! What a name! Long, though pretty fun at least that's what I think.

This polish will also be part of this week's The Neverending Story Challenge because it's absolutely one of those polishes that I just had to have. I bought this and another red which I also just had to have in January so sure I have other polishes that had been standing longer, but still.

Are You Medusa? is a dark burgundy polish with a pleasant holoe. Not very clear effect, but again, one of those that gives the polish a great depth. I experienced for the first time (I think) that the brush was a bit straggly in a DD polish, but otherwise it was nice to paint with and cover without the slightest problem in two layers. The drying time was also really good. I have topcoat on in the picutres. 

This is just so very nice. I'm very glad that I have it in my collection and the decision that I just had to have it was soo right.

Grön Onsdag - My Top 5 Green Polishes!

Vad kan passa bättre än att visa mina 5 favoriter av gröna lack på Karins Gröna Onsdag? Inte mycket!

Precis som på dom andra listorna så är det kanske inte alltid det allra vackraste lacken som faktiskt hamnar på dom här listorna. Ibland har man speciella känslor för ett speciellt lack som gör att man tycker om det mer än det som kanske egentligen är snyggare. Så här får ni dom fem som blandat är vackrast och blandat betyder mest för mig.

What could be better than to show my top 5 Green polishes on Karins Green Wednesday? Not Much!

Just like in the other two lists these polishes might not be the most beautiful polish in my stash but sometimes you have polishes that you have special feelings for and then that polish becomes the one that you like the most. Even thought there might be others that might appear more beautiful. 

So this is my top 5 mixed between beautiful and special.

Do you have any polishes that means something extra for you and why?

Först ut är Zoya Logan som är från samma kollektion som Zoya Aurora som jag hade med bland mina lila lack. Det här är bara helt ljuvligt och jag kan inte förstå att jag inte använder det oftare. En grön skönhet med massor av guld i.

First out is Zoya Logan that comes from the same collection as Aurora that was in my top 5 purple polishes. This one is just stunning and I can't understand why I don't wear this more often. A green beauty with a lots and lots of gold in it.

Det här är nog mitt absoluta favoritlack bland dom gröna. Det jag alltid kan lita på att jag älskar att bära och nog min första riktiga gröna lack kärlek. Jag har visat det här en del gånger och det är förstås China Glaze Agro jag snackar om. Också ganska mycket guld i. Ett lack jag kan bära hur ofta som helst utan att tröttna.

This is probably my absolute favorite of all the green polishes. The one that I always love wearing and I think my first real green polish love. I have shown this several times and it's of course China Glaze Agro that I'm talking about. A polish that also has a lot of gold in it. I can use this all the time and still don't get tired. 

En annan juvel i min gröna samling är Darling Diva Leprechaun's Gold. Klar bas med microglitter i grönt och guld (igen). Ett lack som tyvärr inte finns att köpa längre och därför valde jag att måla det över svart på swatchbilden. För att spara lite på flaskan. Det här är bara helt underbart glittrigt och fint.

Another gem i my collection is Darling Diva Leprechaun's Gold. A polish with a clear base that is packed with green and gold microglitter. A polish that unfortunatly no longer can be bought from Darling Diva. And that is why I chose to swatch over black on the swatchpicture. To save some. This is just amazing. It's so sparkly and beautiful. 

Liquid Sky Lacquer Margaritaville är kanske inte det vackraste lacket jag har bland gröna, men det var det första thermolacket som verkligen funkade som jag testade. Och ja, jag gillar verkligen färgen på det speciellt när man har lite längre naglar och tipparna nästan konstant är mörkare som en gradient. Ljuvligt!

Liquid Sky Lacquer Margaritaville might not be the most beautiful polish of all my greens but it was the first thermo I tried that really worked. And I do love the color too. Specially when you have a bit longer nails and the tip is dark green almost all the time so it looks like a gradient. Lovely!

Och nu till ett lack som jag fullkomligt älskar. Och det mest för att det är så starkt ihopkopplat med min älskade MG C. Lacket är från Butter London och heter British Racing Green samma namn som färgen på min bils lack har. Ett riktigt mörkt grönt lack med ett diskret skimmer i. Vet inte om jag älskar färgen eller namnet eller associationen mest eller om det är en kombo, men en stor plats i mitt lackhjärta har det i alla fall.

And now to a polish that I love soo much. And the main reason for that is that it makes me think of my beloved MG C. The polish is from Butter London and the name is British Racing Green the same name as the color of my car has. A really dark green polish with a discrete shimmer in. I don't know if I love the color, the name or the feelings that I get by this most or if it's simply a combo. But one thing is for sure that this has a big place in my polish heart.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Darling Diva Polish Exuberant

Nä, hörrni det här var faktiskt inge vidare. Det verkar som att den här veckan är min visa glitterlack som jag inte gillar vecka.

Darling Diva Polish Exuberant består av en mjölkig jellybas fylld med glitter i olika storlekar och glada färger, även microglitter. Det jag gillar med det här lacket är att det är cirkelglitter vilket jag tycker mer om än hexagoner. Jag gillar basfärgen också.

Men.. Lacket är som klister. Jättetjockt och kletigt. Det går väl förmodligen att åtgärda med Seche Restore, men det hade jag ju inte gjort nu. Och precis som med Yuletide som jag visade häromdagen så tycker jag att det blir för mycket glitter. En bra sak är dock att jag enbart har två lager på bilderna. Och jag tyckte att det räckte alldeles utmärkt.

Nej, det här blev ingen favorit, men nu har jag i alla fall provat det. Misstänker att det lär hamna på min blogsale rätt som det är.

Till nästa vecka har jag plockat fram lite bortglömde använda lack som ni får välja på.

Oh no, this is not very neat. It seems that this is the week I show glitter polish that I don't like.

Darling Diva Polish Exuberant consists of a milky jellybase filled with glitter in various sizes and cheerful colors, even micro glitter. What I like about this polish is that it is circular glitter which I prefere over hexagons. I like the base color too.

But .. The polish is like glue. Really thick and sticky. I guess you can fix that with Seche Restore, but I didn't have time for that when I painted with this. And just like Yuletide that I showed the other day I think it's too much glitter in it. One good thing is that I only have two layers in the pictures. And I you really don't need more than that.

No, this was not a favorite, but now I at least have tried it. Suspect that it'll end up on my blog sale some day.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Darling Diva Polish Into The Groove

Lördag och dagen får nog ägnas åt städning. Och lite frisk luft och lite lackning kanske.

Idag blir det läsarnas val igen och lacket som ni valde till mig förra gången är Darling Diva Polish Into The Groove.

Faktum är att det första jag sa när jag målat på det här var att det ser ut som jag har någon slags sjukdom på naglarna. Alltså var min första tanke inte så där värst positiv. Efter ett par dagar med det här på så är tankarna något bättre, men en favorit blir det nog inte.

Into The Groove består av en grön jellybas med cirkelglitter i olika storlekar i grönt, silver och svart. Det finns även en liten fin skimmereffekt i det. På bilderna har jag tre lager och det funkar utmärkt. Lite fiskande blev det efter glittren, men inte alls så det störde på något sätt. Ett lager med topplack har jag också.

En favorit blir det nog inte, men jag gillar ändå det på något vis. Jag gillar hur det känns som nästan lite 3D effekt när man byggt upp de tre lagren som förresten torkade riktigt snabbt.

It's Saturday and the day will probably be spent cleaning the house, maybe get som fresh air and hopefully some swatching. 

Today it's readers' choice again and the polish that you chose for me the last time is Darling Diva Polish Into the Groove.

In fact, the first thing I said when I painted this on the nails was that it looks like I have some kind of disease of the nails. So my first thought was not that positive. After a few days with this on it is slightly better, but I don't think it ever will be a favorite of mine.

Into the Groove consists of a green jellybase with circle glitter in different sizes in green, silver and black. There is also a small fine shimmer effect in it. In the pictures I have three layers and it works great. You do have to fish a bit to get the glitters, but not as much that it gets disturbing in any way. I have one layer of top coat,

As I said this will probably not be a favorite, but I still like it any way. I like how it feels like almost a little 3D effect when you have built up the three layers which, by the way, also dried really quickly.

Darling Diva Polish - GTO

Igår var vi på Elmia Custom Motor Show hela dagen efter att ha bestämt det lite hastigt och lustigt på morgonen. Därav avsaknaden av inlägg igår.

Passande nog så bestämde jag mig för att fortsätta på motortemat och har idag lackat med Darling Diva Polish GTO ett av lacken ur Muscle Car kollektionen.

GTO är ett glitterlack med klar bas och sen packat med härligt gräsgrönt glitter i olika storlekar. Man kan lägga det här över något annat lack eller använda på egen hand. Bägge delar funkar lika bra. Jag har valt att visa det på egen hand.

Tre lager är vad som krävs. Torktiden är helt ok och glittret sprider ut sig utan problem på nageln. Däremot är det här som många andra lack lite topplacks slukare. På bilderna har jag ett lager av Digital Flash, men jag kommer nog lägga på ett till tror jag.

Vad ska jag säga om det här lacket mer än att det är suveränt. Nä, det finns inte så mycket att tillägga. Det är fin färg, härligt bling-bling och från ett av mina favorit Indiemärken.

Yesterday we were at the Elmia Custom Motor Show here in Sweden the whole day after a hast desicion in the morning. Hence the lack of posts yesterday.

To keep to motor theme running I decided to paint with Darling Diva Polish GTO one of the polishes from the Muscle Car collection.

GTO is a glitter polish with clear base and is then packed with beautiful grass green glitter in various sizes. You can put this over another polish or use it on it's own. Both parts work just as well. I have chosen to use it on it's own.

Three layers is what is required. The drying time is quite ok and the glitter spreads out without any problems on the nail. However, this is a glitterpolish and it does eat the topcoat. In the pictures, I have one layer of Digital Flash, but I will probably add one more.

What should I say about this polish more than that it is gorgeous. Nah, there's not much to add. It's a nice color, beautiful bling-bling and from one of my favorite Indie Brands.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Darling Diva Polish Fomalhaut

Lördag igen och inget inplanerat vilket känns rätt skönt. Min röst är inte var den borde så det blir inte någon karaoke i alla fall ;)

Förra veckan fick ni rösta på tre olika Darling Diva lack och jag var faktiskt lite förvånad över hur ojämn röstningen var. Jag trodde nog att det skulle blir ett ganska jämt resultat, men icke för Fomalhaut drog ifrån på en gång och vann överlägset.

Och då var vi tillbaka till ett lack som jag inte kunde låta bli att lägga över svart. Fomalhaut har en lite svarttonad bas och glitter i blått och grönt som jag tror kan vara lite multichroma faktiskt. Det är riktigt fina färger tillsammans tycker jag.

En mycket bra sak med det här lacket är att glittrena sprider sig väldigt lätt över nageln. Inget fiskande här inte. Jag valde att lägga två lager över ett svart krämlack. Och sen bestämde jag mig för att pröva Purrfect Pawlishs Matte Paws. Alltså ett matt överlack på detta. Ofta tycker jag att glittermanikyrer blir riktigt häftiga när man gör dom matta.

Just Matte Paws blir inte supermatt utan mer satinmatt skulle jag nog vilja säga, men jag gillar verkligen hur Fomalhaut blev med matt lack över. Tyvärr så är det ju så att det här är inte snabbtorkande vilket jag inte tänkte på utan målade med det precis innan jag skulle iväg.. Inte så smart. Manikyren åker bort idag.

Men i alla fall måste jag säga att Darling Diva Fomalhaut är en riktigt snygging. Nu är jag rätt säker på att det här kan vara lite svårt att få tag på, men om ni får syn på det någonstans så är det väl värt att äga.

It's Saturday again and nothing scheduled, which feels quite nice. My voice is not where it should be so there will definitly be no karaoke ;)

Last week you had three different Darling Diva polishes to vote on and I was actually a little surprised at how uneven the voting was. I thought that it would be a fairly even results, but not at all because Fomalhaut pulled away at once and won convincingly.

And again a polish that I could not help but add over black. Fomalhaut has a little blacktoned jellybase and glitter in blue and green which I think may be a bit multichrome actually. It's really nice colors together, I think.

A very good thing about this polish is that the glitters spreads very easily over the nail. No fishing here for glitter at all. I chose to put two layers over a black creme polish. And then I decided to try Purrfect Pawlishs Matte Paws that is a matte top coat on it. Often I find that glittermanicures gets really cool when you make them matte.

Just Matte Paws is not super matte but more satin I guess I would like to say, but I really like how Fomalhaut turned out with this effect. Unfortunately the fact is that this is not fast drying which I did not think of, but painted with it just before I was going out.. Not so clever. The manicure will be taken of today.

But in any case I must say that Darling Diva Fomalhaut is a real hottie. Now I am pretty sure that this can be a little hard to find, but if you catch sight of it somewhere it is well worth owning.

First Haul of 2015!

Jodå, det har dykt in en del lack redan och jag har några på väg också. Undrar om inte jag skrev att jag skulle försöka minska flödet i år också. Inte helt säker på att det kommer lyckas.

Tänkte i alla fall att ni skulle få se vad jag fått hem än så länge i år.

I have already gotten some new polishes this year and I have some coming as well. I wonder if I didn't write that I would try to decrease my hauls. Well we'll see how that goes.

Darling Diva Polish - 'Cuda

Mentality Brute fick sig en liten törn när jag städade, men eftersom det inte var slitet i övrigt så bestämde jag mig för att piffa upp det lite grann.

Eller lite grann var väl en underdrift för när man lägger på Darling Diva Polish 'Cuda över så blir det en glitterbomb utan dess like och en fantastiskt vacker sådan också.

'Cuda är ett av lacken ur Muscle Car kollektionen som kom i våras. Ett Royal Blått glitterlack som skulle kunna täcka på egen hand på 3 eller 4 lager, men jag har ju då lagt 2 över Brute istället. Det är lätt att lacka med och torktiden är väldigt bra. Däremot är det som så många andra glitterlack en topplacksätare av rang. Jag la på två lager med Insta-Dri och hade nog kunnat ta ett till faktiskt.

Men vad gör väl det när lacket är så gudomligt glittrande och vackert!

Mentality Brute got a little torned when I cleaned, but as it was not worn in general I decided to spice it up a bit. 

Or a little bit was well an understatement because when you put Darling Diva Polish 'Cuda over it will be a glitter bomb and it's a fantastically beautiful one too. 

'Cuda is one of the polishes from the Muscle Car collection that was released this spring. A Royal Blue glitter polish that could cover on it's own in 3 or 4 layers, but since I already had Brute on I layered it in 2 layers of that instead. It's easy to paint with and the drying time is very good. However, it's like so many other glitter polishes it totally eats the topcoat. I have two layers of Insta-Dri on but could easily have put on a third one to get it really even. 

But who cares when the polish is so divine sparkly and beautiful!

Läsarnas Val / Readers Choice! - Darling Diva Polish Destiny

Nu är läsarnas val tillbaka och jag visar lacket som ni röstade fram förra gången. Nämligen Darling Diva Polish Destiny.

Det här är ett ljusblått lack med massor av glitter i både olika färger och former i sig. Huvudparten består av mörkare blått glitter, men även guld och silverfärgat. Det här är ännu ett Darling Diva Polish lack som är suveränt att jobba med. Inget fiskande efter glitter här minsann. Torktiden var helt ok och över det hela har jag Poshé.

Jag valde att använda lacket på egen hand och det räckte faktiskt med tre lager för att det skulle täcka riktigt bra.

Vad tycker jag om det här då? Jag trodde att jag kanske skulle tycka att färgen var lite mesig, men det gör jag inte. Den är riktigt trevlig och allt som allt så gillar jag lacket även om det kanske inte är en storfavorit, men det känns kul på något sätt. Så jo, det är ett mycket trevligt lack.

Till nästa vecka fick sonen vara nummergenerator och konstigt nog så blev det tre lila lack att välja på.

Readers' choice is back and I show the polish that you voted for last time. And that is Darling Diva Polish Destiny. 

This is a light blue polish with lots of glitter in both different colors and shapes in it. The majority consists of darker blue glitter, but also gold and silver. This is yet another Darling Diva Polish polish that is great to work with. No fishing after the glitters at all. The drying time was normal and I have a layer of Poshé over it. 

I chose to use the polish on its own and I got to cover enough with three layers. 

What do I think about this then? I thought that maybe I would find that the color was a little wimpy, but I don't. It is really nice and all in all I like the polish even though it might not be a big favorite, but it's a fun polish anyway. So yes, it is a very nice polish and I do like it.  

I used my son as a random number generator and strangely enough the numbers he choosed turned out to be all purple.
