Golden Oldie Challenge - Brown or Copper

Det här skulle varit sista veckan på Golden Oldie Challenge, men jag bestämde mig för att förlänga den så det blir nya teman för ett par veckor framöver.

Men denna veckan handlar det om brunt eller koppar och jag valde ett helt fantastiskt lack från China Glaze.

Det här är Harvest Moon från samma kollektion som mina favoriter Agro och Riveting nämligen Hunger Games. Ett ljuvligt kopparfärgat foil lack. Det är smidigt att jobba med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag har en tendens att glömma bort hur vackert det här lacket är och låter det stå där i lådan och se ledset ut, mycket dumt för det här tycker i alla fall jag funkar hela året om. Det går dessutom att få tag på fortfarande, inte superenkelt kanske, men via eBay funkar det.

This would have been the last week of the Golden Oldie Challenge, but I decided to extend it so it will be new themes for a few weeks more.

But this week, it's brown or copper that's the theme and I chose a fantastic polish from China Glaze to show you.

This is Harvest Moon from the same collection that my favorites Agro and Riveting comes from namely Hunger Games. A lovely copper-colored foil polish. It's easy to work with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I have a tendency to forget how beautiful this polish is and just let it stand there in the box looking sad, very foolish of me. I think this works all year round. It's also possible to still get, not super easy perhaps, but at least you can find it through eBay.

ABC Challenge - T = Turtle Tootsie Polishes - Smashed Pumpkins

English text under the pictures. 

Jösses vilket lack jag letade fram till bokstaven T! Jag vet inte riktigt vilken färg Turtle Tootsie Polishes Smashed Pumpkins har. Är det bronze eller koppar eller orange? Nä, jag vet inte och det spelar absolut noll roll för bara titta hur det ser ut.

Det var smidigt att lacka med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Det är helt klart udda färg som jag var lite tveksam till hur jag skulle gilla på naglarna, men jag hade inte behövt oroa mig för jag fullkomligt älskar det här lacket. Tyvärr har jag bara en miniflaska, får kanske ändra på det för det här blev en fullträff tycker jag.

What an amazing polish I picked for the letter T! I don't really know what color Turtle Tootsie Polishes Smashed Pumpkins have. Is it bronze or copper or orange? Nah, I don't know and it does absolutely zero matter because just look how it looks.

It was easy to paint with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

It's clearly an odd color I was a little hesitant about how I would like it on the nails, but I shouldn't have worried because I absolutely love this polish. Unfortunately I only have a mini bottle so maybe I should do something about that.  Because this was turned out to be a bullseye polish.

Take The Brick!

Varför heter inlägget Take The Brick kan man ju undra. Finns en enkel förklaring på det faktiskt.

Lacket som är basen är OPI Take The Stage som jag sen har stämplat med Mundo De Unas 59 Brick så jag mixade helt enkelt ihop namnen på dom två.

Som vanligt blev jag sugen på lite stamping och med flera nya otestade MdU lack så blev det ett av dom som plockades fram. Jag kan säga att det är tur dom är så bra, för lukten är fruktansvärd. Jag målar aldrig med dom här utan öppet fönster längre.

I vilket fall som helst så blev det ett mönster från Mash platta 42 som jag valde. Måste nog säga att det blev en väldigt lyckad kombination det här.

You might wonder why this post is called Take The Brick. Well there is a simple explanation.

The polish that is the base is OPI Take the Stage and I stamped on top of that with Mundo De Unas 59 Brick so I simply mixed up the names of the two.

As usual, I was hungry for some stamping and with several new untested MDU polishes it was one of those who were picked up. I can say that it is fortunate that they are so good to stamp with because the smell is terrible. I never use these whitout having an open window anymore.

In any case, it became a pattern from Mash plate 42 that I chose. And I must say that it was a very successful combination. 

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - OPI Take The Stage

Lördag, städat, blivit av med ett skrivbord, besökt svärmor och nu blir det lite bloggande.

Lacket som ni valt åt mig idag är ett av mina första OPI och jag tror även ett mina första i orange som jag föll som en fura för. Och jag tycker fortfarande att det är lika fint faktiskt.

Det här är OPI Take The Stage ett lack som kom ut med Burlesque kollektionen 2010. Ett koppartonat orange lack med ett väldigt fint guldskimmer tror att det kan vara ett flakielack, men är inte helt säker då jag är rätt kass på dom där olikheterna, men det kändes som det när jag tog bort det tidigare idag. Jag har tre lager och topplack på bilderna. Det kan vara så att det räcker med två lager, men det var lite mörkt när jag satt och målade så jag vågade inte chansa. Torktiden var helt ok.

Jo, jag gillar det här lacket precis lika mycket idag som när jag köpte det. Ofta tycker jag att dom där tidiga köpen man gjorde och lack som man verkligen älskade då inte alltid är lika fina när man tar på dom igen, men det här är det. Dessutom matchar det makens nya bil också!

Saturday, cleaned the hosue, got rid of an old desk through an add, visited my mother in law and now some blogging.

The polish that you have chosen for me today is one of my first OPI:s and I think also my first orange that I really fell in love with. And I still think it is so beautiful.

This is OPI Take the Stage a polish that came out with the Burlesque collection in 2010. A copper toned orange polish with a very fine gold shimmer or maybe it's a flakie, but are not quite sure because I really suck at knowing the difference between all the different formulas, but it felt like a flakie when I removed it earlier today. I have three coats and top coat in the pictures. It might be enough with two layers, but it was a little dark when I sat down and painted so I did not dare to take a chance. The drying time was ok.

Well, I like this polish just as much today as when I bought it. Often, I find that those polishes you bought a long time ago ang that you really loved then not always is as nice when you take on them again, but this is. And it does match my husband's new car too!

ABC Challenge - I = Isadora Flashy Copper

Isadora Flashy Copper är mitt lack på bokstaven I. Ett lack som håller vad namnet lovar och är rätt och slätt ett koppar färgat skimrande lack. 

Det är absolut inget fel på det här lacket, nä, det är egentligen väldigt fint, men jag tror inte jag var riktigt sugen på just den här typen av färg när jag la på det här på naglarna. Jag var nog lite mer inne på en mer orange färg faktiskt. 

Flashy Copper är vad jag förstår ett lack som släpptes första gången 2011. Det är lätt att lacka med och tar man ett tjockare lager så räcker det nog faktiskt med ett lager. Jag har dock två på bilderna. Och ett lager med topplack också. 

Som jag sa så är det här ett vackert lack och en färg som jag gillar i vanliga fall. Det påminner faktiskt lite om OPI Take The Stage även om jag tycker att det lacket har lite mer djup i sig. Kanske är det problemet med det här. Det är lite för lite djup i det. Jag hittade det i en reakorg för rätt länge sedan och jag tror att det är på sådana ställen man får leta efter det. 

Isadora Flashy Copper is my polish for the letter I. It is what the name says a Copper polish with shimmer in it. 

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this polish, no, it's really very nice, but I don't think I this was the kind of color I felt like wearing when I did put this on the nails. I was probably a bit more into a more orange color actually.

Flashy Copper is what I understand a polish that was first released in 2011. It's easy to paint with and if you take a thicker layer I think that you could actually get away with only one. However, I have two layers in the images. And a layer of top coat also.

As I said, this is a beautiful polish and a color that I normally like. It actually reminds a bit of OPI Take The Stage although I think that the OPI polish has a little more depth in it. I found it in a bargain basket for quite a long time ago and I think it is in such places you may find it now as well.

Zoya - Autumn

Jag börjar första dagen i December med att visa ett höstlack. Faktum är att jag inte köpt ett enda jullack än så länge. Finns väl en del som jag är sugen på, men först ska det köpas julklappar till familjen. Sen kanske det blir lite julklappar till mig själv.

Lacket jag visar idag är Zoya Autumn ett kopprigt glödande lack med guldskimmer i. Väldigt vackert är det. Något lite skirare än vissa av dess kompisar i Ignite kollektionen. Tre lager har jag på. Mycket smidigt att måla med och torkade fort också. Ett lager med Digital Flash har jag över också.

Vad ska man säga om ett sånt här lack. Att det är vackert syns ju liksom. Det känns som en trivsam färg, en sån där som egentligen inte är alls diskret, men ändå känns lite så. Inte i negativ mening dock utan jag gillar den känslan.

I'm starting the first day of December with showing an autumn polish. In fact, I have not bought a single polish from any Christmas Collection so far. Well there is some that I would like to have, but first my money should go to Christmas presents for the family. Then maybe there will be some Christmas presents for myself.

The polish I am showing today is Zoya Autumn a coppery glowing coat with gold shimmer. Very beautiful. A bit sheerer than some of its friends in the Ignite collection. I have three layers on. Very easy to paint with and dried quickly too. I've topped it with a layer of Digital Flash.

So what can I say about a polish like this. It is beautiful but that is obivous looking at the pictures. It feels like a warm color, one of those who really are not at all subtle, but still feels a bit like that. Not in a negative way, oh no I really like that feeling.

GOT Polish Challenge - Burnt Orange / Copper

Den här veckan visste jag absolut att jag ville vara med i GOT Polish Challenge då temat är Burnt Orange/Copper. Jag har nämligen två väldigt fina koppar lack som står i min låda och är ledsna för att jag inte ger dom lite kärlek.

Efter att ha frågat på två olika forum vilket jag skulle använda föll till slut valet på China Glaze Harvest Moon. Ett jättefint lack som förtjänar lite kärlek från mig då jag inte behandlade det särskilt väl från början. Jag bytte nämligen bort min flaska efter att ha använt det en gång, men ångrade mig och bytt till mig en annan flaska!

Det här kommer från samma kollektion som två av mina absoluta favoritlack nämligen Riveting och Agro alltså från Capitol Colors kollektionen eller som de flesta nog kallar den Hunger Games kollektionen. Harvest Moon är ett helt underbart kopprigt foillack. Lite skirt möjligen, men tre lager funkar.

Jag ville ändå piffa till manikryen lite så jag tog fram lite mer Nail Vinyls. Den här gången gick det inte riktigt lika smidigt att använda dom, men det hade inte ett dugg med själva vinylerna att göra utan anledningen var att jag inte väntade tillräckligt länge på att topplacket skulle torka. Tycker ändå att slutresultatet som blev med hjälp av Rainbow Honey NYX blev riktigt bra.

I knew instantly that I wanted to join this weeks GOT Polish Challenge. The theme is Burnt Orange / Copper. The reason was that I have two very fine copper polishes in my stash and haven't given any of them any love for a loong time. 

After asking in two different forums which I should use of them the final choice was made by my son and the polish is China Glaze Harvest Moon. A really nice polish that deserves a little love from me because I did not treat it very well from the beginning. I had a bottle of this and gave it away in a swap after using it once, but changed my mind and got me another bottle through another swap! 

This comes from the same collection as two of my absolute favorite polishes namely Riveting and Agro that belongs to the Capitol Colours Collection or as most people probably call it the Hunger Games collection. Harvest Moon is a truly wonderful copper foil. A little sheer perhaps, but three layers does the job. 

I still wanted to spice up my manicure a bit so I took out my new  Nail Vinyls. This time it didn't work out as easy as the last time I used them, but it had nothing to do with the vinyls. No, more of he fact that I didn't give the topcoat enough time to dry before I applied them. I used Rainbow Honey Nyx for the black and even though it became a bit uneven I Still I think the end result turned out really good.
