OPI - This is Not Whine Country

Det verkar inte som jag har något riktigt flyt med mina nail art idéer denna veckan. Jag bestämde mig för att det var dags att visa OPI This is Not Whine Country från California Dreamin' kollektionen, men jag ville ha en accentnagel med blommig vattendekal också. Det såg ju bra ut ända till jag började fixa till kanterna med aceton och vattendekalen löstes upp lite väl mycket och det vita underlaget började smeta lite grann. Nåja det här får väl helt enkelt bli veckan när jag visar mindre lyckade manikyrer.

Men låt oss prata lite om This is Not Whine Country istället. Det här är en bärröd färg, inte röd och inte magenta utan som röda bär mixade liksom. Den har lite jellykänsla över sig, men jag tyckte ändå att det var bra att jobba med och två lager räckte för täckning. Torktiden var bra och jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Det här är en mycket trevlig färg enligt mig, men där upphör liksom grejen med det här lacket. Det är trevligt, men inte något speciellt upphetsande. Ett ganska mediokert lack skulle jag villa säga. Ett som jag gärna bär, men inte sträcker mig efter när jag letar efter en av mina favoriter.

It doesn't seem like I have any real flow with my nail art ideas this week. I decided that it was time to show OPI This is Not Whine Country from the California Dreamin collection, but I wanted an accent nail with a floral waterdecal as well. It looked good until I began to fix to the edges with acetone and the waterdecal was a little dissolved and the white base began to smear up on the decal. Well, this may just be the week when I show less successful manicures.

But let's talk a bit about This is Not Whine Country instead. This is a berry red, not red and not magenta but like red berries mixed polish. It has a little jelly feeling over it, but I still thought it was good to work with and two layers were enough for coverage. The drying time was good and I have topcoat over in the pictures.

This is a very nice color according to me, but that's where it ends. It's nice, but not something exciting. A fairly mediocre polish I would say. One that I love to wear, but not stretching out for when I'm looking for one of my favorites.

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Beach & Ocean #1

Ibland blir det inte alls som man tänkt sig när man gjort en manikyr och idag blir det en sån manikyr som jag visar fastän jag inte är nöjd med den.

Månadens tema i Nail Challenge Collaborative är Beach & Ocean och när jag ändå hade ett passande blått lack så tänkte jag mig lite stämplade vågor med hjälp av Models Own Beach House och mönster från BundleMonster Polynesia BM-XL 107. Färgkombon var helt rätt tänkt, men stämplingen har lite att önska den här gången.

Fastän jag inte är helt nöjd väljer jag ändå att visa den här manikyren, för helt galen är den ju inte och även om stämplingen är lite si så där så hade jag ju faktiskt inget annat att visa och jag är alltför trött för att orka göra om den just nu. Så håll till goda med den något stukade manikyren.

Sometimes manicures dosen't turn out the way you want them to and today's manicure is certinaly one of those. 

The theme of the month in Nail Challenge Collaborative is Beach & Ocean and when I still had a suitable blue polish on, I decided to do some stamped waves with the help of Models Own Beach House and pattern from BundleMonster Polynesia BM-XL 107. The Color combo was just right, but my stamping doesen't live up to the standard today. 

Although I'm not completely satisfied, I still choose to show this manicure, because it's that crazy, and although the stamping isn't that perfect I don't have anything else to show and I'm too tired to start over right now. So keep up with the slightly stung manicure.

Depend - 478

Det blev lite tyst här igen. Vi tog en minisemester i Linköping hos sonen, har haft en riktigt härlig helg med äventyrsgolf och kortspel.

När jag nu kom hem var det dags att byta lack och valet föll på ett från förra årets sommarkollektion från Depend Sunny Days. Lacket har nummer 478 och är ett perfekt smurfblått krämlack. Perfekt formula har det också, täcker på två lager och på bilderna har jag topplack över.

Det här är verkligen en härligt glad färg och en perfekt sommarfärg. Jag säger smurfblå fast smurfar kanske är något mörkare egentligen, men rätt nära ändå. Helt klart ett lack som jag undrar varför jag inte använt tidigare.

It got a little quiet here again. We took a mini vacation in Linköping visiting our son, had a really lovely weekend with adventure golf and card games.

When I came home, it was time to change my polish and the election fell on one from last year's summer collection from Depend called Sunny Days. The polish has number 478 and is a perfect smurfblue cream polish. It also has a perfect formula, covers in two layers, and in the pictures I have topcoat over.

This is really beautiful and according to me a happy color and also a perfect summer color. I say smurfblue even if the smurfs might be slightly darker, but very close anyway. Obviously a polish I wonder why I have not used before.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes - July

Igår fick jag hem ett paket från Turtle Tootsie Polishes med deras July Birthstone Trio vilken jag bara måste ha eftersom jag är ett Julibarn.

Först ut att testas är lacket som heter July. Det här är en vit crellybas som fyllts med röda och vinröda glitter i olika former och storlekar. Formulan var något lite klistrig, men ändå helt ok att jobba med. Man kan stanna vid två lager, men jag ville ha det täckande så på bilderna har jag tre. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack över. Vilket jag rekommenderar då ytan annars blir lite ojämn på grund av glittren. Jag hade inga som helst problem med att få med glittren upp ur flaskan eller att få dom att sprida sig på nageln.

Det här är nog normalt sett inte alls min grej, men jag ville ha hela trion och faktum är att jag tycker det är ett riktigt kul lack. Lite som att ha en polkagris på nageln. Jag kan tänka mig att det här egentligen skulle passa ännu bättre framåt jul. I alla fall så är jag positivt överraskad för jag gillar det här riktigt mycket.

Yesterday I received a package from Turtle Tootsie Polishes with their July Birthstone Trio, which I just had to have because I'm a July child.

First out to be tested of the trio is the polish called July. This has a white crelly base filled with red and maroon glitters in various shapes and sizes. The formula was somewhat a bit sticky, but still ok to work with. You can stay at two layers, but I wanted it to cover completely so on the pictures I have three. The drying time was good and as ususall I have topcoat on in the pictures. Which I recommend since the surface otherwise becomes a bit uneven due to the glitter. I had no problems with getting the glitter out of the bottle or getting them to spread out on the nail.

This is normally not my thing at all, but I wanted the whole trio and the fact is that I think it's a really cool polish. A bit like having a candy cane on the nail. I can imagine that this would work even better for Christmas. In any case, I'm pleasantly surprised because I really like this.

KB Shimmer - Ruby

Man fyller faktiskt bara år en gång om året och då måste man ha riktigt fina naglar! Hurra hurra för mig idag :)

Julis månadssten är Rubin och förra året gav KB Shimmer ut en kollektion med lack inspirerade av månadsstenarna. Självklart köpte jag lacket som heter Ruby. Lacket är metallicflakiefoil, jo jag vet det där låter konstigt, men det är faktiskt en blandning av de olika finisharna. Det är helt galet smidigt att jobba med och man kan säkert ha bara ett lager, men jag tycker färgen djupnar lite om man tar två så det har jag på bilderna och topplack över.

Alltså det här lacket är bara galet fint. Det gnistrar om det och det glänser som av metall, det har faktiskt allting som jag kan önska i ett lack inklusive färgen för rött, det blir jag aldrig trött eller mätt på.

Fact is that you only celebrate your birthday one time of the year and for me that time is today! And for me having spectaculary nice nails is something that is important. So Happy Birthday to me today :)

Juli's moonstone is Ruby and last year, KB Shimmer released a collection of polishes inspired by the moonstones. Of course I bought the one called Ruby. The polish is a metallicflakiefoil, though I know it sounds strange, but it's actually a mix of the various finishes. It's like perfection to work with this polish and you probably can have only one layer, but I think the color gets a bit deeper if you take two so I have two in the pictures and topcoat over.

So this polish is just amazing. It sparkles and it shines like metal, it actually has everything I want in a polish including the color red, I'll never get tired of that color.
