Depend 7 Day - Wisdom Iris & Innocent Daisy

Ibland är vissa lack bra mycket snyggare med något effektlack över än helt för sig själva. Depend 7 Day Wisdom Iris är absolut ett av dom, så därför la jag ett lager med Innocent Daisy över.

Låt oss börja med Wisdom Iris som är ett blekt persikofärgat krämlack som redan på flaskan annonserar att det är ett ganska skirt lack. Jag fick ta tre lager för att bli nöjd. Torktiden var dock bra. Men som sagt jag var inte riktigt nöjd med manikyren så därför valde jag att ta ett lager av Innocent Daisy över. Det är ett lite pärlemoraktigt effektlack som inte är tänkt att användas på egen hand, men som givetvis går att göra så med om man bara är ute efter lite skimmer på naglarna. Över det här har jag ett lager med topplack.

I slutändan blev manikyren helt ok, men långt ifrån någon favorit. Wisdom Iris är ett lack som jag inte kommer att använda på egen hand igen. Inte alls min färg även om jag förstår att den skulle se fin ut nu på sommaren, men nej inte hos mig. Innocent Daisy är möjligt att jag plockar fram igen. Ett helt ok effektlack, men inte speciellt unikt. Däremot så tycker jag att de här två funkar riktigt bra ihop.

Sometimes some polishes is a lot more prettier with some kind of effectpolish over than just for themselves. Depend 7 Day Wisdom Iris is definitely one of them, so I put a layer of Innocent Daisy over.

Let's start with Wisdom Iris, which is a pale peach-colored cream polish that already announces on the bottle that it's a pretty sheer polish. I had to take three layers to be satisfied. However, the drying time was good. But, as I said, I was not really happy with the manicure so I chose to take a layer of Innocent Daisy over. That polish has a little pearlish effect and I don't think that it's meant to be used on its own, but of course it can be done if you only want a little shimmer on your nails. Over this I have a layer of topcoat.

In the end, the manicure became quite ok, but far from any favorite. Wisdom Iris is a polish that probably wont be using again, at least not on it's own. Not my color even though I understand it would look nice now in the summer, but no, not with me. Innocent Daisy is possible that I will pick up again. A perfectly ok topper, but not very unique. On the other hand, I think these two works really well together.

Emily De Molly - Cubicle Gangster

Haft en härlig helg, varit på 50-års fest och fått ha äldste sonen hemma lite också. Förberedelserna för studenten fortsätter och dagens pyssel var inköp av duk, servetter och ljus.

Satte mig ner och målade naglarna också för dom har varit nakna sen i fredags. Japp jag var på 50-års fest utan nagellack! Lacket jag plockade fram idag är Emily De Molly Cubicle Gangster ett ljusgrönt lack med ett väldigt vackert guldskimmer. Det var ljuvligt att jobba med och två lager räcker gott. Torktiden var riktigt bra, dock torkar faktiskt det här nästan lite matt. Snyggt, men om man vill få fram skimret ordentligt så är topplack att rekommendera och det har jag också på bilderna. Jag ber om ursäkt för grymt torra nagelband, dom får inte alls den kärlek dom borde få just nu.

Det här lacket är helt enkelt ljuvligt enligt mig. Så härlig färg och skimret, ja det är bara underbart.

I've had a lovely weekend, been at a 50th party and got to hang out with our oldest son at home a little too. The preparations for the other sons graduation continues and today's pursuit was to purchase  tablecloths, napkins and candles.

I sat down and painted my nails too, because they have been naked since Friday. Yes, I was at the 50th party without nail polish! The polish I picked up today is Emily De Molly Cubicle Gangster a light green with a very beautiful gold shimmer. It was lovely to work with and two layers are good enough. The drying time was really good, however, it actually dries a little matte. Nice, but if you want to make the shimmer to pop out properly, topcoat is recommended and I have that in the pictures. And I also apologize that my cuticles are so dry, they certinaly don't get enough love right now. 

This polish is simply lovely according to me. So beautiful color and that shimmer is to die for,  yes it's just wonderful.

Depend 7 Day - Zap Up Neon

Det blir lite sporadiskt med inlägg här på bloggen tills sonens student är över. Lite mycket med planering, städning och fixning nu. Och då inte fixning av naglarna för det har det blivit alldeles för lite av.

Idag visar jag i alla fall ett av lacken från Depend 7 Days Neon Attitude. Det lila Zap Up Neon. Jag vill nog dock inte riktigt kalla det för ett neon. Det torkar dock matt som ett riktigt neon ska göra. Jag fick lite ojämnt på första lagret så därför har jag tre lager, men jag är säker på att två räcker annars. Det torkar fort och som sagt matt vilket jag valde att låta det vara.

Nä, jag tycker inte det här är ett äkta neon färgmässigt, men det gör verkligen inget för det här rödlila lacket är riktigt snyggt och det gör sig hur bra som helst som matt. Jag har några lack kvar ur den här kollektionen att visa och jag ser fram emot vart och ett av dem.

It will be a bit sporadic with posts here on the blog until my son's graduation is over. I have so much to do with planning, cleaning and fixing right now. And fixing my nails is not one of those things..

Well at least I managed to give my suffering nails some love and get to show you one of the polishes from Depend 7 Days Neon Attitude. The Purple Zap Up Neon. However, I would not really call it a neon. But it dries matte like a real neon should do. I got it a bit uneven on the first layer, so I have three layers, but I'm sure two are enough for covering. It dries fast and, as I said, matte which I chose to let it stay as.

Well, I don't think this is a real neon color, but it really doesn't matter, because this reddishpurple polish is really awesome and looks great without shiny topcoat. I still have some more polishes from this collection to show you and I look forward to each one of them.

Depend O2 - 503 & 504

Ibland ser lack ut att matcha varandra perfekt när man håller flaskorna jämte varandra. Så tyckte jag absolut om Depend O2 503 & 504 som bägge är från vårens Game, Set, Match kollektion. Riktigt lika bra matchning tycker jag nog dock inte det blev på naglarna. I alla fall inte som jag använde lacken.

Om vi börjar med 503 så är det ett hallonrött krämlack som har fantastiskt fin formula. Ett eller två lager räcker. Inte så mycket mer att säga om detta. 504 har en symbol på flaskan att det har en skirare formula och inte egentligen är tänkt att täcka helt utan nog mer är tänkt som ett effektlack. Men, jag tänkte ju att man måste ju prova det på egen hand i alla fall. Det här är som ett rosa skimmerlack och faktum är att efter tre lager så anser jag att det är täckande.

Vad är det då jag inte tycker blev hundra? Jo, jag tycker helt enkelt inte nyanserna för sig var tillräckligt lika för den manikyren som jag tänkt mig. Bägge lacken är väldigt fina och speciellt 503 är jag riktigt förtjust i. Jag är tämligen säker på att jag tyckt mer om 504 som ett lager över det andra, nu är det också fint, men kombon kanske inte blev helt hundra. Allt som allt så gillar jag dock bägge lacken.

Sometimes polishes looks like they are a perfect match when you hold the bottles together. That is what I thought about Depend O2 503 & 504, both from the Spring collection Game, Set, Match. I'm not that sure anymore after painting them on my nails. At least not the way I used the polishes. 

Let's start with 503 that is a raspberry red cream with amazingly nice formula. One or two layers are enough. Not much more to say about this. 504 has a symbol on the bottle telling that this is a sheer polish and is not really meant to cover completely on it's own. But, I thought I had to try it's own anyway. This is like a pink shimmer and the fact is that after three layers, I think it's covering.

What is it then that I didn't think turned out perfect? Well, I simply don't think that the shades is close enough with eachother to be great together. Both of them are really nice and I'm especially fond of 503. I'm pretty sure I would have liked 504 more as a layer over the other. It's nice this way too, but maybe not perfect in this combo.  All in all, however, I like both the polishes.

May Haul

Jag vet att jag skrev i mitt inlägg om Aprils Haul att nu blir det inget mer, men jag hade liksom glömt att jag redan hade beställt ett gäng lack från Beautyjoint, så jo det blir ett litet inlägg i Maj också. Nu är jag dock tämligen säker på att jag inte har några på ingång och jag ska försöka hålla mig i Juni. Har en massa andra utgifter i och med sonens student som borde gå före.

Av de lack jag beställde från Beautyjoint så är det faktiskt tre stycken som jag ägt tidigare, men ångrat att jag sålt. Lite klassiker från Milanis 3D lack och så några China Glaze som jag tyckte jag saknade i min samling.

I know that I wrote in my post of Aprils Haul that I hadn't bought anything else, but I had forgotten that I had already ordered a bunch of polishes from Beautyjoint, so it will be a small haul post in May as well. Now I'm pretty sure I don't have any more coming and I'll try to not buy anything in June. I have a lot of other expenses that month with my sons graduation that I guess is more important than buying more polishes. 

A couple of the polishes I ordered from Beautyjoint, is actually once that I owned earlier, but regretted that I sold. Some classic once from Milan's 3D collection and some China Glaze that I thought I missed in my collection.
