Nail Art Sunday - Ombre Nails

Årets första Nail Art Sunday och jag kör enligt tradition en kombo med Nail Challenge Collaborative. I NAS har vi inget tema denna veckan, men i NCC kör vi temat nystart denna månaden.

För mig har det varit några år där saker och ting varit rätt kämpiga och jag har bestämt mig för att 2017 ska bli året då allting vänder och än så länge har det gått bra. Med tanke på detta fick jag för mig att göra en ombre i gråskala. Jag började med svarta Ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights på tummen och sedan A-England Fated Prince, Turtle Tootsie Polishes Alex P. Keaton, Purrfect Pawlish Mountain of Madness och avslutar på lillfingernageln med Purrfect Pawlish Soft and Fluffy.

För mig symboliserar det här att man går från väldigt svarta känslor och upplevelser till ljusare känslor och dagar.

For me it has been a few years where things have been pretty though and I have decided that 2017 will be the year when everything turns around and so far it has gone well. With this in mind, I decided to do an ombre in Grayscale. I started with the black Ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights on the thumb and then A-England Fated Prince, Turtle Tootsie Polishes Alex P. Keaton, Purrfect Pawlish Mountain of Madness and to finish it of on the little finger nail Purrfect Pawlish Soft and Fluffy.

For me, this symbolizes that you go from very black feelings and experiences to much lighter emotions and days.

Reader's Choice - Zoya Finley

Vissa dagar måste man bara acceptera att man faktiskt är så trött att man inte ens orkar med sånt man egentligen tycker är kul och avslappnande. Jag är just nu inne i en sån fas. Jag orkar med min skola och rehabträningen av mitt knä, jag tar dagens foto till mitt projekt 365, men där tar ofta orken slut och min blogg får lida lite. Det kommer inte att vara ett inlägg om dagen ett tag framöver, det kommer jag varken tidsmässigt eller med den tröttheten jag har klara av. Men jag ser ett slut på mitt fotoprojekt. Jag är på dag 316 av 365. Och mitt mål är att i alla fall blogga fyra eller fem dagar i veckan tills jag har med tid igen.

Men nog om mig och nu till det fantastiska lacket som ni valt åt mig. Den här veckan är det mörkt lila Zoya Finley som visas upp. Lila med en röd ton i sig.

Vad ska man säga. Zoya, scattered holo det kan ju inte bli annat än bra. Två lager, torkar snabbt och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är verkligen magiskt vackert. Det får mig att känna så där som jag gjorde när jag började med lack och allt var nytt och kul. Det liksom bubblar lite inom en.

Vi kör lite omröstning med bara Lilypad Lacquers till nästa vecka.

Some days you just have to accept that you actually are so tired that you can't even be bothered with stuff you really think is fun and relaxing. I am currently in such a phase. I can hande my school and rehab training of my knee, and I'll take today's photo to my project 365. But that is pretty much it and the rehab training is not every day. My blog will suffer a bit. There wont be a post a day for a while, that I will neither have the time for or my fatigue wont allow me. But I see an end to my photo project. I'm on day 316 of 365. And my goal is to at least post something here four or five days a week until I have time again.

But enough about me and now to the fantastic polish that you have chosen for me. This week it's the dark purple Zoya Finley that I will show you. Purple with a red tint in it.

Well, what could I say. It's Zoya, it's scattered holo could it be anything but good. Two layers, dries quickly and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is truly magical beautiful. It makes me go back to have those feelings towards nailpolish that I had when my love for polish was new and almost every polish was a joy. It's kind of gets you that bubbly feeling again.

OPI - Is That a Spear In Your Pocket?

Idag är det som vanlig grön onsdag hos Karin och jag visar ett av lacken från OPIs kommande Fiji kollektion. Här i Sverige släpps denna i mitten av Februari. Is That a Spear In Your Pocket? är ett härligt grönt krämlack i en liten svårbeskrivbar grön färg.

Det är kräm, det är OPI och för mig så betyder det att det är bra kvalité och täcker på två lager. Självklart finns det undantag till detta, men det här lacket är inte ett av undantagen. Jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Det här är absolut en färg som tilltalar mig väldigt mycket. Snygg året om tycker jag.

It's green Wednesday at Karin's today and I have one of the polishes from OPIs upcoming Fiji collection to show you. Here in Sweden this will be released in the middle of February. Is That a Spear In Your Pocket? is a beautiful green creme polish in a kind of hard to describe green hue.

It's cream, it's OPI and for me that means good quality and a polish that covers in two layers. Obviously there are exceptions to this, but this polish is not one of the exceptions. I have a topcoat on in the pictures.

This is definitely a color that appeals very much to me. Stylish all year long in my opinion.

 

Turtle Tootsie Polishes - Together We Fight

Vissa lack är viktiga fastän man kanske inte är helt förtjust i det. Turtle Tootsie Polishes Together We Fight är ett sånt för mig. Chrissy som ägaren av märket heter är en av alla kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer. Hon är nu frisk, men självklart är det här ett ämne som berör henne djupt och därför har hon de senaste åren gjort kollektioner där en del av inkomsten går till olika fonder som stöder forskning kring sjukdomen. Det här lacket kommer från 2016 års kollektion.

Vi börjar väl med hur lacket var att måla med och det var absolut inga problem. Riktigt bra och färdigt på två snabbtorkande lager. Jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Vad är det som gör att jag inte är så förtjust i det då? Det är fint. Det finns en bra holoeffekt, men för mig var det nog lite för mesrosa. Jag hade gärna sett lite mer magenta i det. Då hade det här blivit en riktigt hit, nu är det bara ett ok lack för mig.

Some polishes are important for other reasons than being your favorits. Turtle Tootsie Polishes Together We Fight is one of those for me. Chrissy the owner of the brand is one of all the women who has suffered from breast cancer. She is now healthy, but obviously this is a subject that touches her deeply, and therefore she has in recent years made collections in which a part of the profits goes to various funds that support research into the disease. This polish is from the 2016 collection.

Let's start with how this was to work with and it was absolutely no problem. Really good formula and two coats is enough. It's also really fast drying. I have topcoat over in the pictures.

What is it that makes me not so fond of it? It's nice. There is a good holo in it, but for me, it was probably a bit too pale. I would have liked it a lot more if it had more magenta in it. That way it would have become a real hit, now it's just an ok polish for me.

 

Depend O2 - 511

Idag är det blå måndag hos Emelie och jag har lyckats pricka in detta! Lacket jag visar är återigen ett från Depend O2s Game, Set, Match kollektion. Ett ljusblått krämlack, men inte riktigt pastelligt utan med lite mer klös i.

Lacket är smidigt att jobba med. Två lager räcker och jag har topplack över på bilderna, men som sagt det är inte pastell och det blev inte alls strimmigt som dom brukar bli.

En riktigt härlig vårfärg eller varför inte som isblå färg om man nu vill göra lite vinter nail art kanske. Jag tycker det är fint, men det är inte den färgskalan som jag dra mig till mest. I alla fall inte just nu.

Today it's blue Monday at Emelie's and I have managed to pinpoint this! The polish I'm showing is again one from Depend O2's Game, Set, Match collection. A light blue cream polish, but not quite a pastel, no this has a little more edge to it.

The polish is easy to work with. Two layers is enough and I have a topcoat over in the pictures, but as I said it's not pastel, and it was not at all streaky as they tend to be.

A really lovely spring color or even as ice blue color if you want to do some winter nail art. I think it's fine, but it's not the color scale that I tend to be drawn towards. At least not right now.
