Liquid Sky Lacquer - Dance The Night Away

Det blåser som tusan utanför dörren och jag är inte ett dugg sugen på att gå ut. Sitter istället och lyssnar på bok och målar lite naglar.

Liquid Sky Lacquer Dance The Night Away fick jag i min adventskalender förra året så det är väl hög tid att använda det nu. Det här är ett riktigt mörkt blått holo, med ganska starkt holoeffekt. Det har en ganska tjock formula, men absolut ingen jobbig utan jag upplevde att det var smidigt att jobba med. Två lager har jag, tror att man kan klara sig med ett. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag gillar det här riktigt mycket. Snygg färg, trevlig holo och bra att måla med. Kanon alltså!

Outside the wind is blowing really hard and I'm not at all keen on going out. I rather sit indoors listening to books and painting my nails. 

Liquid Sky Lacquer Dance the Night Away, I got this in my advent calendar last year, so it's high time to use it now. This is a really dark blue holo, with fairly strong effect. It has a fairly thick formula, but absolutely not annoying, I felt that it was easy to work with. Two layers is what I have on. I believe that you could get away with only one. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I like this a lot. Nice color, nice holo and good to paint with. Pretty perfect!

 

CND Vinylux - Emerald Lights

Idag är det grönt som gäller här på bloggen då det är Karins gröna Onsdag.

Jag valde att lacka med CND Vinylux Emerald Lights. Ett underbart skogsgrönt glitter lack. Den här gången gjorde jag som man ska och hoppade över baslack eftersom det finns inbyggt i själva lacket. Jag är förvånad över hur pass bra det funkade på mina något randiga naglar som normalt kräver ridge filler. Plus i kanten där. Dessutom var det mycket trevligt att jobba med. Man kan säkert få det att täcka på ett lager, men jag har två. På det här har jag topplacket som är speciellt för Vinylux lacken.

När det kommer till topplack skulle jag vilja rekommendera två lager, för det här äter upp topplacket rätt fort faktiskt.

Färgen är fantastiskt fin och förutom att det äter lite topplack så är jag riktigt nöjd med det här. Det ingår i en vinter kollektion som heter Starstruck och jag kan mycket väl tänka mig att använda det som jullack.

Since it's Karin's Green Wednesday today I will obvioulsly show you a green polish. 

I chose to paint with CND Vinylux Emerald Lights. A wonderful forest green glitter polish. This time, I did as you are supposed to with these polihses. I jumped using base coat because the polish itself has a built in base coat. I'm surprised how well it worked on my somewhat ridged nails that normally require ridge filler. A big plus from me for that. Moreover, it was very nice to work with. You can certainly get it to cover in one coat, but I have two. And over this I have the special Vinylux topcoat.

When it comes to topcoat, I would recommend two layers, because this eats up the topcoat pretty fast.

The color is amazing and besides eating up some topcoat I am really pleased with this one. It's part of a winter collection called Starstruck and I can very well imagine myself using this as a Christmas polish. 

 

Chanel Taboo

Idag kände jag att jag behövde något självförtroendestärkande (långt ord..) på naglarna då jag ska gå på min första jobbintervju på en sisådär 13-14 år.

Vad kan då vara bättre än en modern klassiker i form av Chanel Taboo. Denna lilla juvel i min samling. Det här är även en liten kameleont. Är det vinrött med blått skimmer eller är det lila med blått skimmer? Svårt att säga faktiskt. Det jag med säkerhet kan säga är att det har blått skimmer. Och att det är underbart att applicera. Jag tror att mitt kanske tjocknat lite, för det räckte med ett lager. Har liksom ett minne av att det var två förra gången. Torktiden är bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det är ett tag sedan jag plockade fram det här senast och jag hade nästan glömt hur vackert det är. Men vill man ha något liknande, inte en dupe, men ändå något som är väldigt likt så finns Depend 419. Vill man se en jämförelse så finns det en här.

Som sagt det här är snyggt, stilrent och bara så fint.

Today I felt that I needed something self-esteem enhancement on the nails because I'll go on my first job interview for about 13-14 years.

What could be better than a modern classic in the form of Chanel Taboo. This little jewel in my collection. This is also a small chameleon. Is it burgundy with blue shimmer or is it purple with blue shimmer? Hard to say really. What I can say with certainty is that it has a blue shimmer. And it is wonderful to apply. I think my might have thickened a little, because one layer was enough. I don't remember that from the last time I wore it. I think I needed two then. The drying time is good and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

It's been a while since I picked up this last time and I had almost forgotten how beautiful it is. But if you want something similar to this, not a dupe, but still something that is very close you could buy Depend 419. If you want to see a comparison, there is one here.

That said this is neat, stylish and just so nice.

 

September Haul

Jag är arbetslös och håller i mina pengar rätt hårt, men jag unnade mig några lack i September. Och jag fick ett fint i present också från en av mina vänner i födelsedagsgruppen. Tanken är att jag ska fortsätta hålla en låg nivå på inköpen. I alla fall tills jag har en stadig inkomst igen. Och helt ärligt så saknar jag nog mer att köpa stämpelplattor än att köpa lack faktiskt.

För övrig så har jag inte med några nail art artiklar i det här inlägget vilket jag inser nu att jag kanske ska ha i fortsättningen.

I'm unemployed right now and I try to hold on to my money pretty hard, but I allowed myself some polishes in September. And I also got one as a gift from one of my friends in the birthday group. The idea is that I will continue to keep a low level of purchases. At least until I have a steady income again. And quite honestly I don't have that much of a problem with that. I miss buying stamping plates more than polishes actually. 

And I realise that I have not included nail art stuff in these posts. Maybe I should do that in the future.

Review Born Pretty Store Stamping Polish

Idag tänkte jag vara med på Emelies Blå Måndag och jag hoppas hon godkänner den här manikyren.

Lacket är ganska tjockt i konsistensen, men som jag påpekat tidigare så ska ett stampinglack vara det, så inga konstigheter alls där. Det har en ganska normal lacklukt, dvs lite kemiskt, men absolut inte någon obehaglig doft.

Det var lätt att jobba med och jag fick smidigt över mönstret som kommer från BP- L020 på själva stämpeln. Även de små detaljerna.

Färgen är riktigt härlig tycker jag, nu har jag inte provat över något mörkare lack, men jag är faktiskt rätt säker på att det skulle funka bra också.

Jag kan absolut rekommendera det här om man vill ha ett bra kräm stämpellack till ett hyfsat pris.

I have tested one of Born Pretty Stores Stamping polishes, a clear blue polish that seems to have the number 7 as a description. You can find it here: http://www.bornprettystore.com/bottle-born-pretty-stamping-polish-nail-varnish-nail-plate-printing-polish-p-27272.html

The polish is pretty thick, but as I pointed out before that is normal for a stamping polish, so nothing strange there at all. It has a pretty normal polish smell, a bit chemical, but absolutely no unpleasant odor.

It was easy to work with and I transfered the pattern smoothly from the plate to the stamper. The pattern is from BP L020 even the small details without a problem. 

I think the color is really lovely.  I have not tried this over slightly darker colors, but I'm actually pretty sure that it would work well too.

I can definitely recommend this if you want a good cream stamping polish at a decent price.
