I got a shipment from Cherry Culture!

Japp, när jag kom hem häromdagen så stod det där. Det efterlängtade paketet från Cherry Culture.

Så jag kan ju inte låta bli att visa er mina nya skönheter.

The other day when I got home from work my awaited shipment from Cherry Culture had arrived. I just had to show you my new beauties!

And finally two from China Glaze Hologlam. Strap On Your Moonboots and OMG I'm a UFO. Still not sure If I like these.

Grön onsdag - Matte Apple

Idag blir det lite arkivbilder på en manikyr jag gjorde av Zoya Apple. Som då också passar in på Karins Gröna Onsdag. Jag tycker liksom det är så vansinnigt roligt att testa hur olika saker skulle kunna se ut över ett lack man redan har på.

Så när Apple satt på så plockade jag fram Zoya Logan och gjorde en fransk manikyr med hjälp av det, men självklart kan man ju inte bara låta saker stanna där utan fram även med China Glaze Matte Magic.

Topplacket la jag bara över Logan så topparna på naglarna blev matta och resten fortfarande vackert Zoya glansiga. Jag gillade verkligen hur det här blev. Ett av mina bättre experiment.

På tal om experiment så fick jag hem en hög med nailfoil häromdagen. Ska bli kul att testa. Jag fick dessutom  ett stort paket från Cherry Culture. Kommer nog ett flaskinlägg vid ett senare tillfälle. Som typ imorgon kanske. Då kan ni få njuta av mina fina nya flaskor medans jag själv njuter av att vara på student.

Today there will be some archive pictures of a manicure I did of Zoya Apple. This also fits in to Karin's Green Wednesday that we have here in Sweden.  I feel like it's so insanely fun to test how different things would look like over a polish that I already have on the nails.

So when Apple was sitting on I picked up Zoya Logan and did a French manicure using it, but obviously you can not just let things stay there. I just had to add some China Glaze Matte Magic.

I applied the topcoat just over Logan so the top of the nails became matte and the rest still beautiful Zoya glossy. I really liked how this turned out. One of my better experiments.

Speaking of experiments, I got home a heap of nailfoil the other day. Should be fun to try. I also got a package from Cherry Culture. Will probably do a bottle post another day.

Takko Lacquer - I Love Rock & Roll

Ok, jag erkänner! Det här köpte jag mycket på grund av namnet, sen är ju färgen fin och jag var nyfiken på märket som jag aldrig testat förut.

Takko Lacquer finns hos Edgy Polish och det här är som sagt min första bekantskap med det. Lite rinnig i formulan innan man vande sig vid det. Efter ett par naglar hade man fått kläm på att man skulle ha mycket lack på penseln. Då flöt det på bra och täckte på två lager. Torktiden var mycket bra.

När man läser beskrivningen på det här i shoppen så står det att det är en svart jelly med rosa skimmer och microglitter. Jag kan se spåren av rosa i skimret, men jag tycker nog i alla fall att det är lila. Och det är ju tur för om det varit rosa kanske jag inte hade tyckt om det!

Nu gör jag det i alla fall. Tycker om det alltså. Det är väldigt mörkt så i vissa ljus är det nästan svårt att se det lila, men inte så mörkt att det upplevs som svart hela tiden. Ett måste för alla Goth fans där ute i Rockvärlden.

Jag har ett lager av China Glaze Fast Forward över också och för en gång skull så tycker jag att bilderna visar rätt lila färg. Tack för det min älskade Nikon som jag har lekt runt med manuella inställningar på!

Ok, I admit it! I bought this mainly for the name of it. Ok, it was a nice color and a brand that I had never tried and that is also nice of course.

Takko Lacquer is available at Edgy Polish and this is, as I said my first acquaintance with it. A little runny in the formula before I got the hang of how to apply it. After a few nails I realized that the trick was to have plenty of polish on the brush. That way it floated on good and covered in two layers. The drying time was very good.

When you read the description of this in the shop it says that it is a black jelly with pink shimmer and micro glitter. I can see the traces of pink in the shimmer, but I think in any case that it is purple. And that is lucky because if it was pink I might not have liked it at all.

Because I do like it. Very much! It's very dark, so in some lights, it's almost hard to see the purple, but not so dark that it is perceived as black all the time. A must for any Goth fans out there in the Rock World.

I have a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward over it and for once I think the pictures show the correct purple color. Thank you my beloved Nikon and the manuall settings that I have been playing around with!

Nailart Sunday - Disney

"Hy så vit som snö, läppar röda som blod och hår svart som ebenholtz.."

Veckans tema hos Lelack's Nailart Sunday är Disney. Oj, tänkte jag vad i hela friden ska jag göra för något eftersom jag nu lärt mig att jag är rätt kass på frihanda och några stämplar med Disney grejer på har jag inte. Om  man nu inte räknar tecknade Nalle Puh förstås. Vilket jag kom på nu att man nog kan göra.

Jag klurade en stund och kom sen på att när jag vann hela Essence Snow White kollektionen förra sommaren så följde det även med små Snövit klisterdekaler. Aha, där var ju lösningen.

För att symbolisera både snö, blod och ebenholtz tog jag fram det röda Snow White från Essence vilket nog är det bästa röda lacket jag någonsin målat med. Helt suveränt! Vitt fick symboliseras av Barielle Enduring och till svart har jag Zoya Raven. 

Tyvärr var dekalerna väldigt pixliga , men jag tror ändå ner ser hur tanken är. Givetvis ville jag ju också ha med en av de 7 dvärgarna och min favorit är Toker så han fick det bli.

Den här veckan lär det bli lite mindre bloggande, men jag är i full färd med att planera manikyren inför studentfirandet.

"Hy as white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony .."

Theme of the week at Lelack's Nail Sunday is Disney. What on earth would I do for this theme! My freehanding is crappy and I didn't have any fun Disney stamping plates unless you count the animated Winnie The Poh which I now realize that I actually have on a plate. 

I thought about it for a while and then remembered that when I won the Essence Snow White collection last summer there was also little snow white adhesive decals. Aha, that was the solution.

To symbolize both the snow, blood and ebony, I took out the red Snow White from Essence which is probably the best red nail polish I've ever painted with. Simply wonderful! White was symbolized by Barielle Enduring and for the black, I have Zoya Raven.

Unfortunately, the decals are very pixelated, but I still think you get the idea of the manicure. Of course, I also wanted to have one of the 7 dwarfs i this and my favorite is Dopey so that is the one I choosed.


This week there will be a little less post than usuall because of family celebrations.

Läsarnas val / Readers Choice! - China Glaze Cast A Spell

Vaknar upp till en ljuvligt vacker lördag som återigen ska ägnas åt städning, för på torsdag smäller det! Då lämnar sonen skolan och kliver ut i vuxenlivet. Givetvis ska det firas med buller och bång och då kan det vara trevligt om man vågar släppa in folk i huset också.

Igår fick jag njuta av att se honom i kostym och fluga tillsammans med sin flickvän som var underbart fin i sin balklänning. Det är då man känner sig stolt som mamma kan jag lova.

Nu till lacket som ni röstade fram åt mig förra veckan. Jag kan säga att det var jämt i omröstningen. Det skiljde en röst mellan dom som vann och trean kom bara 3 röster efter också.

Lacket ni valde åt mig är China Glaze Cast A Spell ett lack som kommer från förra årets Halloweenkollektion Wicked. Jag kan nog känna att det här lacket försvann lite i mängden av alla Halloween och julkollektioner som dök upp ungefär samtidigt i höstas/vintras. Och det är synd för det här är en riktig skönhet må säga.

En mörkgrön bas med massor av guldflakes. Kan det bli bättre? Nä, inte för min del i alla fall. Jag älskar verkligen den här färgen. Påminner lite om CG:s Agro, men med annan finish. Sen att lacket är väldigt trevligt att applicera gör ju inte saken sämre precis. Två lager, sen är det färdigt. Torkar fort. Jag har ett lager av Poshé på också. Och återigen får ni se ett lack som faktiskt sitter på mina naglar i skrivande stund och kommer så göra tills städningen är färdig i alla fall.

Slumpgeneratorn fixade fram lacken till denna veckas omröstning.Två otestade och ett som jag visade på bloggen ganska tidigt förra året.

I wake up to a lovely, beautiful Saturday which again should be devoted to cleaning, for this Thursday is the day when my son leaves school life behind and steps out into adulthood. Of course there will be celebrated with a bang and I think it might be nice if you dare to let people in the house.

Yesterday, I enjoy seeing him in a suit and bow tie along with his girlfriend, who was wonderfully pretty in her prom dress. That's when you feel proud as a mother, I can promise.

Now on to the polish that you voted for last week. I can say that it was a very fun poll because it only differed one vote between the winning polish and the second. 

The polish you chose for me is China Glaze Cast A Spell a polish which comes from last year's Halloween Collection Wicked. I can feel that this polish got a bit lost in the crowd of all Halloween and Christmascollections that appeared around the same time in the fall / winter. And that's a shame because this is a real beauty I have to say.

A dark green base with lots of goldflakes. Could it be better? Nah, not for me anyway. I really love this color. Reminds me of CG's Agro, but with a different finish. The fact that the polish is very nice to apply does not make things worse. Two layers, then it's finished. Dries quickly. I have a layer of Poshe on too. And again, you will see a coating that actually sits on my nails while I'm writing this and will do so until the cleaning is finished, anyway.

I used a Random Number Generator to pick the polishes for this weeks poll. Two untested and one that I showed on the blog pretty early last year.
