Turquoise and Gold!

Direkt när jag fick Emily De Molly Queen Of The Sea på naglarna kände jag att det krävdes lite guldstämpling på det här. Inte för att det behövs något mönster egentligen på lacket för det är helt underbart på egen hand, men det kändes bara som att det skulle bli bra.

Och ibland har man bara så rätt. Jag fick dessutom hem en hel påse med massa olika nail art grejer från Purrfect Pawlish som jag lovat Maria att testa för att se om det är några bra grejer som hon kan sälja i sin webshop. En av dom grejerna var en clear jelly stamper. Och jag är sjukt imponerad får jag lov att säga.

Absolut ingen primning behövdes, den plockade upp mönstret helt perfekt och var lätt att jobba med. Den här stämpeln kommer att finnas hos Purrfect Pawlish någon gång i slutet av denna månaden och är ni i taget att köpa en Clear Jelly stämpel tycker jag definitivt att den här är värd att vänta på.

Immediately when I got Emily The Molly Queen Of The Sea on my nails, I just felt that I needed to add some gold stamping on it. Not that it needed some patterns really oh no the polish is absolutely wonderful on its own, but it just felt like it would be nice.

And sometimes you are just so right. I also got home an entire bag with lots of different nail art stuff from Purrfect Pawlish that I promised Maria to test to see if there was something that i thought would work for her to sell on her website. One of the things was a clear jelly stamper. And I'm soo impressed by this I must say.

Absolutely no priming needed, it picked up the pattern perfectly and was easy to work with. This stamp will be available at Purrfect Pawlish sometime at the end of this month and if you are thinking of getting a Clear Jelly stamp, I think definitely this one is worth waiting for.

The polish I have stamped with is Depend Metallic 4044 Rock n' Gold and the pattern comes from Mash 39

ABC Challenge - X = Depend 421

Jag har faktiskt ett lack som börjar på X som är dagens bokstav, men det är ett väldigt, väldigt skirt lack och på mina missfärgade naglar såg det faktiskt inte klokt ut, så istället tog jag ett lack med enbart en siffra istället för namn.

Det fick bli Depend 421 som funnits i mina ägor bra länge. Dock kollade jag upp lacket och det verkar till höra Depends Basic lack som alltså finns att köpa nu också.

Det här är ett ganska knalligt rosa lack med lila skimmer i. Det täcker på två lager, torkar fort och på fotona har jag topplack på också.

Jag tycker det här är rätt fint faktiskt. Ett lack som jag tycker passar bra så här på vårkanten och till sommaren. Kanske inte någon favorit, men ändå helt ok.

 

I actually have a polish that begins on X which is today's letter, but it is a very, very sheer polish and on my discolored nails it actually looked really ugly, so instead I took a polish with a number instead of a name.

It is Depend 421 that has been in my drawer a long time. However, I looked up the polish and it seems to be one of Depends Basic polishes so it's still available in stores. 

This is a fairly bright pink polish with purple shimmer. It covers in two coats, dries fast and on the photos I have topcoat on too.

I think this is pretty nice. A polish which I think works great now in the springtime and when you have got some tan in the summer. Maybe not a favorite, but still ok.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Candy & Sweets # 3

Jag äter inte längre godis, men när jag gjorde det så hade jag svårt att hålla mig ifrån gelegodisar av alla dess slag. Och en typ av det är gelehjärtan. Röda härliga godisar som förmodligen är fyllda med onyttiga färgämnen och konstigheter, men goda det är dom. 

Därför tänkte jag att just gelehjärtan kunde vara en bra sak att ha på naglarna i vårt Candy & Sweets tema. 

Basen är Darling Diva Polish Game Over, Man! som jag sen har stämplat med ett mönster från Überchic 6-01. 

I don't eat candy anymore, but when I did I could hardly keep myself from jelly candy of all kinds. And one type of that is jelly hearts. Beautiful red candies that are probably filled with not so nice colorants and other strange stuff, but still so deliscious. 

Therefore, I thought that jelly hearts would be a good thing to have on your nails in our Candy & Sweets theme.

The base is Darling Diva Polish Game Over, Man! I have then stamped it with a pattern from Uberchic 6-01.

Reader's Choice - Emily De Molly Queen Of The Sea

Idag är ingen vanlig dag för vi ska hämta vår nya bil! Volvo V40 D4 R-Design, fint ska det va :)

Och det blir inte det här lacket som är veckans läsarnas val som kommer pryda mina naglar, nä för jag måste ju ha något som matchar bilen såklart. Alltså något mörkblått.

Men först ska ni självklart få se Emily De Molly Queen Of The Sea som vann omröstningen.

Det här är ett turkost lack med ett fantastiskt guldskimmer i sig. Dock var det något skirare än vad jag förväntat mig. Jag har tre lager på bilderna och där kan man nästan ana lite VNL vilket man i verkligheten inte gjorde. Men det var smidigt att lacka med och torkade fort så de tre lagren var inget större problem. På bilderna har jag topplack också.

Queen Of The Sea är verkligen hur fint som helst och jag fick direkt bilder i huvudet på hur jag skulle vilja stämpla på det här. Inlägg om detta kommer någon gång i kommande veckan. Jag gillar det här riktigt mycket och är glad att ha det i samlingen. Där lyckades gubben och sonen bra för det här var ett av mina kalenderlack.

Givetvis blir det en ny omröstning också. Lacken går alla i blått så det kan bli kul att se hur ni röstar.

Today is no ordinary day, no because today we will get our new car Volvo V40 D4 R-Design, nice stuff :)

And it will not be this weeks reader's choice polish that will be on my nails when we get the car. I have to have something that matches the car of course. So something blue.

But first, you obviously get to see Emily The Molly Queen Of The Sea, which won the vote.

This is a turquoise polish with a fantastic gold shimmer in it. However, it was a bit sheerer than I expected. I have three layers in the pictures and on them it looks like I still have some VNL which wasn't the case in reality. But it was easy to paint with and dried quickly so the three coats were not a major problem. In the pictures I have topcoat also.

Queen Of The Sea is really a very beautiful polish and I got images in my head right away of how I would want to stamp on this. I will post that manicure sometime in the coming week. I like this quite a lot and am happy to have it in the collection. I must say that my husband and son did a good choice with this one. Because this is one of my advent calendar polishes. 

Of course there will be a new poll, too. The polishes is all in blue so it can be fun to see how you vote.

Summary of OPI Soft Shades Pastel 2016 collection

Sådär, då har jag visat er alla sex lacken från årets OPI Soft Shades kollektion och jag tänkte ge er en liten sammanställning.

För det första så tyckte jag att färgerna på alla sex lacken var väldigt fina, men alla var inte så roliga att måla med. Dock ska vi ha i tankarna att det är pastell lack och dom är kända för att kunna vara lite knepiga.

Jag tycker allt som allt att det är en färgmässigt väldigt lyckad kollektion och kommer säkert bära lacken igen.

Här nedanför listar jag dom i den ordning som jag har gillat färgerna bäst. Vilka gillar ni bäst?

So I have now showed you all the six polishes from this years Soft Shades collection from OPI and I thought I would give you a summary. 

First of all I really liked all six of the polishes but some of them wasn't that great to work with. But that is not something unusal for pastel polishes. They are generally know for being tricky to paint with. 

Well all in all I think this is a very good collection and I will surely use the polishes again. 

I will list the colors in the order that I like them the best. Which of them do you like the most?

Sista lacket ut från OPI Soft Shades 2016 idag. Jag sparade I Am What I Amethyst till sist, det lite dammiga pastell lila lacket som är lite småbusigt och ser nästan grått ut och nästan blått ut i vissa ljus, men det är ljust lila.

Jag var inte så imponerad av formulan på just det här lacket, tre ganska strimmiga och ojämna lager som behövde topplack för att se fint ut, men visst blev det bra efter det.

Det här är absolut en färg som jag trivs i. Inte alls unikt, men trevligt och vårfräscht. En färg som var svår att få fram riktigt korrekt på bilderna tycker jag.

Today I have the last polish from OPIs Soft Shades 2016 collection. I saved I Am What I Amethyst for last, a little dusty pastel purple polish that is a little tricky and looks almost gray out and almost blue in certain light, but it is purple.

I was not very impressed with the formulation of this polish, three pretty streaky and uneven layers are needed and definitly topcoat to make it look nice, but it did turn out nicely in the end. 

This is definitely a color that I feel comfortable in. Not at all unique, but nice and fresh for the sprintime. A color that was difficult to get to show really accurate at the pictures.

ABC Challenge - V & W = Cupcake Polish Victoria

Det är inte så värst många bokstäver kvar nu i vårt ABC Challenge, känns både bra och dåligt. Det har varit bra att ha en liten piska att använda sin otestade hög, men samtidigt har jag känt nu framåt slutet att det varit lite många dagar som varit upplåsta i veckan i och med att jag har både läsarnas val och the nail challenge collaborative också. Men min otestad hög har absolut sjunkit och jag har varit rätt återhållsam med inköp av lack så jag är nöjd.

Nu till dagens bokstav och lack. Jag valde att ha både V och W på samma dag. Lacket jag plockade fram heter Victoria och kommer från Cupcake Polish.

Vissa Indiemärken vet man redan när man plockar fram flaskan att det kommer vara smidigt att jobba med. Cupcake Polish är ett sånt märke enligt mig. Två lättmålade lager som torkade fort är vad som behövdes. På bilderna har jag topplack också.

Vad ska jag säga om den här färgen då? Jo, det är ett mörkt lila lack med en utomordentlig holo i. Faktum är att jag tyckte det krävdes topplack på för att verkligen få fram hur fint det här var. Utan blev det lite matt och inte alls så sprakande som det verkligen är.

För mig var det inte speciellt oväntat att jag skulle gilla det här lacket. Det är lila, holo och underbart!

There are not many letters left now in our ABC Challenge, feels both good and bad. It has been great to clear out some from my untested pile, but at the same time, I have felt a bit the last weeks that I have had a bit too many days locked up in the week with this, reader's choice and the nail Challenge collaborative too. But my untested pile have absolutely shrunken and I have been quite moderate with the purchase of new polishes so I'm happy.

Now to today's letter and polish. I chose to have both V and W on the same day. The polish I picked up is named Victoria and comes Cupcake Polish.

There are some Indie Brands that you know already when picking up the bottle that it will be easy to work with. Cupcake Polish is according to me one of those brands. Two easy-painted layers which dried fast is what was needed. In the pictures I have topcoat on to.

What should I say about this color then? Well, it's a dark purple polish with an excellent holo in. In fact, I thought it was necessary to have topcoat on in order to really show the real beauty of this polish. Without it was a bit dull and not nearly as dazzling as it really is.

For me it was not particularly unexpected that I would like this polish. It's purple, holo and wonderful!

OPI - It's A Boy

Jag fortsätter med lacken från OPIs Soft Shade kollektion. Det näst sista att visa är det pastellblåa It's A Boy.

Det här lacket gick att få täckande och fint på två lager, men man får ta ganska tjocka lager. Om man tar tunnare lär man behöva tre för det blir för strimmigt annars. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Det finns väl egentligen inte så mycket att säga om färgen det är ljusblå pastellig färg som jag tycker är fin, men absolut inte unik. Men som med de andra lacken från kollektionen så är ju även det här fantastiskt fint underlag till nail art.

I continue with the polishes from OPI Soft Shade collection. Today I have the pastel blue It's A Boy on the nails and after this there is only one polish left.

I was able to get this polish opaque and even on two coats, two pretty thick coats that is. If you do thinner you would probably need three because otherwise it will look streaky. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

Well there is not really much to say about the color it's a light blue pastel color which I think is very nice, but certainly not unique. But as with the other polishes from the collection this is also an amazing base for nail art.

News from Depend 7 Days

Igår dök det ner ett paket i brevlådan med Depends 7 Day  Sommarkollektion som heter BFFs forever. Lacken kommer finnas i butik från v.16 och kostar 39:-/st

Många fina färger och de flesta väldigt neutrala för att vara en sommarkollektion. Idag bjuder jag på flaskbilder, kommentera gärna med vilka ni skulle vilja se swatchade.

Yesterday I got a package with Depend 7 Day Summer collection called BFFs forever these will be available in stores w 16 and in Sweden they will cost 39 SEK.

There is a lot of nice colors and according to me they are very neutral for being a summercollection. I give you some bottleshots today and please comment if there is a polish you want to see swatched.

OPI - One Chic Chick

Jag tänkte jag skulle försöka få ut resten av lacken från OPI:s Soft Shades kollektion den här veckan och idag har jag valt att visa er det ljust gula One Chic Chick.

Det här var faktiskt inte så kul att måla med. De två första lagren blev väldigt strimmiga och ojämna, det tredje rättade till det hela och lite topplack på så blir resultatet bra. Nu är ju det här inget speciellt ovanligt för gula lack eller för pasteller heller för den delen, men lite irriterande är det i alla fall.

Däremot så tycker jag att färgen är väldigt trevlig, det känns som man har vaniljsås på naglarna och vaniljsås, det gillar jag! En behaglig färg skulle jag nog vilja kalla det faktiskt och återigen en som skulle kunna göras väldigt bra som bas till nail art.

I thought I would try to get the rest of the polishes from OPI Soft Shades collection posted this week and today I have chosen to show you the pastel yellow One Chic Chick.

This was not that fun to paint with. The first two layers got very streaky and uneven, the third straightened it all up a bit and with the help of some topcoat it all turned out nice. Now of course this is nothing particularly unusual for yellow polishes or pastels for that matter, but it's still a little annoying in my mind.

However, I think the color is very nice, it feels like you have custard on the nails and custard well that is something that I like! A calm and pleasing color, I would probably like to call it and for a fact again one that could be very good as a base for nail art.

ABC Challenge - U = Loreal Under My Spell

Dagarna och veckorna går alldeles galet fort och vi är framme på bokstaven U i vår utmaning. Jag har valt att visa ett glitter lack som heter Under My Spell och kommer från L'oreal.

När jag visade L'oreal Perle De Jade till bokstaven L kom jag på att dom här två lacken nog skulle funka rätt bra ihop och det hade jag rätt i.

Under My Spell består av en klar bas med glitter i turkost, guld, silver och lite prismatiskt. Det är lite varierande storlekar och former på glittren. Det spridde ut sig smidigt på nageln och man behövde inte fiska i flaskan efter de större glittren. Jag har lagt ett lager över Perle De Jade. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna ser ni det med topplack på.

Det framkommer inte riktigt bra på mina bilder hur himla glittrigt och fint det här är. Det verkar som att det finns någon typ av microglitter i basen som nästan ger en känsla av pärlemor på nageln.

Jag tyckte det här var väldigt fint och jag gillar verkligen kombinationen av basfärgen med det här glittret.

The Days and weeks goes so fast and we have already reached the letter U in our challenge. I have chosen to show a sparkly polish called Under My Spell and it comes from L'Oreal.

When I showed L'Oreal Perle de Jade on the letter L, I came to think of that these two polishes probably would work quite well together and I was right.

Under My Spell consists of a clear base with glitter in turquoise, gold, silver and some prismatic. It has different sizes and shapes of the glitters. It spread out smoothly on the nail and you didn' need to fish around in the bottle to catch the larger glitters. I have added one layer of this over Perle De Jade. The drying time was good and in the pictures you see it with topcoat on.

It doesn't appear nearly as nice on my pictures as in reality. This is very sparkly and nice. It seems that there is some type of micro glitter in the base as well that almost brings a sense of mother of pearl on the nail.

I thought this was very nice and I really like the combination of the base color with this glitter.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Candy & Sweets #2

Jag fortsätter lite på inslagen linje den här veckan med The Nail Challenge Collaboratives Candy & Sweets tema. Det blir nämligen lite cupcakes i denna manikyren också.

Jag ville göra något som liksom kändes sockersött så jag plockade fram Turtle Tootsie Polishes Perseverance och Delush Polish 50 Shades Of Yay! Målade med de här två på varannan nagel och som pricken över i:et blev det en stämplad nagel med mönster från MoYou London Cookbook collection 08.

Det blev riktigt sockersött och jag tyckte det blev riktigt bra, andra valda delar av min familj hade lite andra åsikter om just den här manikyren.

I continue with the cupcake theme this week as well in The Nail Challenge Collaborative Candy & Sweets theme. 

I wanted to make something that felt sugar sweet, so I picked up Turtle Tootsie Polishes Perseverance and Delush Polish 50 Shades Of Yay! Painted two nails each with these two polishes and as the icing on the cake I stamped a design from MoYou London Cookbook Collection 08 on one of the pink nails. 

It did certinaly became sweet as sugar and I thought it turned out really nice, other selected parts of my family had some other views on this particular manicure.

Golden Oldie Challenge!

Nu när vi betat oss igenom ett helt gäng med otestade lack tycker jag inte det är mer än rätt att faktiskt dom där gamla guldkornen får komma fram också. 

Därför tänker jag starta Golden Oldie Challenge tanken är att vi varje vecka har ett färgtema, man kan välja att visa en swatch eller om man vill göra nail art. Det är upp till var och en, men det finns lite grundregler angående lacken som ska användas och dom är som följer:

* Lacket ska vara minst ett år gammalt. 

*Har man inte varit beroende av lack lika länge som jag och kanske inte har ett lack som passar temat som är äldre än ett år kan man ta det äldsta man har. 

*Lacket ska vara använt tidigare, men om du inte har något som passar temat godkänns ett otestat, men ta gärna ett av de äldsta från din otestad hög i så fall. 

*Du får använda så många lack du vill i manikyren så länge dom passar in på veckans tema. 

Det kommer att finnas Inlinkz så att alla kan se vilka som deltar.

Now that we have given our untested pile some good attention through the ABC Challenge I thought it was time for another challenge with the purpose to give those oldies a litte love too. 

That is what Golden Oldie Challenge is about. Every week there will be a colortheme and you can chose to show a swatch or a nail art. It's up to you what you want to do. But there are som basic rules to the challenge.

*The plish you chose should be at least one year old. 

*If you don't have a polish that old it will be ok to use the oldes one you have on that theme. 

*It shall be a previously used polish. If again you don't have that we will say it's ok to use an untried, but take the oldest one from that pile in that case. 

*You can use as many polishes as you want in your manicure as long as the fit the theme of the week and the rules of the challenge. 

The challenge starts Week 18 that is the first week in May and you are free to post any day of the week or as many of the day in the week as you want.
