Reader's Choice - Treasures ByTan Purple Nurple

Men det här ser väl fint ut tänker säkert många när man ser dagens läsarnas val lack. Purple Nurple från Treasures By Tan och ja färgen är fin, men jag är inte imponerad.

På bilderna har jag fyra lager och jag kan ärligt säga att jag hade behövt ett till för att det ska bli riktigt bra, men fem lager tycker jag inte det är värt.

För låt oss vara helt ärliga. Det här är ett lite mörkare rödtonat lila holo en färg som jag tycker väldigt mycket om och om jag hade bara sett flaskan säkert tänkt att wow det där vill jag köpa. Nu för tiden inget speciellt unikt faktiskt, finns ganska många liknande. Men när jag sen börjar applicera och inser att de är så skirt att jag minst behöver fyra lager, då svalnar jag rejält. För att jag ska uppskatta ett lack som kräver så mycket måste det vara riktigt speciellt.

Torktiden då? Jo, den var väl ok, men inte så snabb som jag upplever att det normalt sett är på holos. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Nåväl, jag ska väl inte var tjurig hela tiden. Jag kan säga så här: Över ett annat lila lack hade det här förmodligen varit väldigt fint och färgen är det ju egentligen inget fel på. Den är fin.

Oh what a nice polish I guess a lot of you thinks when you see today's readers' choice polish. Purple Nurple from Treasures By Tan is the name of the polish and yes the color is nice, but I'm not impressed.

In the pictures I have four coats and I can honestly say that I had needed one more for it to be really good, but five coats? I don't think it's worth it.

Because let's be honest. This is a little darker redtoned purple holo a color that I like very much and if I had only seen the bottle I would surely think wow I want to buy that one. Nowadays a purple holo is nothing particularly unique in fact, there are quite a few like this on the market. But when I then begin to apply and realize that it's so delicate that I need at least four layers, well that takes down my enthusiasm pretty fast. For me to appreciate a polish that demands so much, it must be really special.

The drying time then? Well, it was ok, but not as quick as I feel that most holos are. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

Well, this became a very grumpy post. I can say this: Over another purple polish this probably would have been very nice and the honestly it's nothing wrong with the color. No, that is really nice.

Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Eye Of The Storm

Det finns hur många Indiemärken som helst där ute på marknaden känns det som och jag tycker jag ser nya märken nästan varje dag, men ett märke som i alla fall jag tycker får lite för lite uppmärksamhet är Superficially Colorful Lacquer.

Märket har funnits i ca två år tror jag och även om jag inte gillat alla lack jag testat därifrån så har det aldrig varit för att det varit dålig kvalité oh nej, det har funnits några som jag inte tyckte om färgen på när jag väl målade med det själv.

Det jag visar idag heter Eye Of The Storm och jag tror att jag faktiskt vann det här vid något tillfälle i en giveaway. Det här är ett riktigt mörkt blått lack, mer åt jeansblått än marin skulle jag säga. Det är inte ett holo, men det finns absolut prismatiskt glitter i det.

Jag blev dock något förvånad över att jag faktiskt behövde tre lager för att känna att det här täckte ordentligt. Dock var det smidigt att lacka med även om det inte var supersnabb torktid, men inte något som inte lite topplack kan fixa.

Allt som allt så är det här ett väldigt fint lack. Absolut inget unikt, men jag gillar färgen och tycker speciellt den är kanonsnygg nu när naglarna är något kortare.

 

There are so many Indie Brands out there on the market and it almost feels like I see new brands every day, but one brand that I personally think do get a bit too little attention is Superficially Colorful Lacquer.

The brand has been around for about two years I believe, and although I have not liked all the polishes I've tried from them there has never been because it was poor quality oh no, there have been some that I didn't like the color of on my nails but nothing worse than that. 

The one I show today is called Eye Of The Storm and I believe that I actually won this at some point in a giveaway. This is a really dark blue polish more to jeansblue than marine I would say. It's not a holo, but there is absolutely prismatic glitter in it.

However, I was somewhat surprised that I actually needed three coats to feel that this covered properly. But, it was easy to paint with, even if it was not super fast drying but not something that a good topcoat wouldn't fix.

All in all, this is a very nice polish. Absolutely nothing unique, but I like the color and I think it looks pretty great on my at the moment pretty short nails. 

China Glaze - Don't Mesa With My Heart and an accent nail!

Idag bjuder jag på Barbie rosa med en fin accentnagel till.

China Glaze Don't Mesa With My Heart är ett mellanrosa krämlack som utan problem täcker på två lager. Helt ok formula, men det var lätt att få lite för mycket färg på penseln faktiskt. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Jag har ju mer och mer börjat gilla rosa och jag trodde nog att den här skulle vara skarp nog för att få mig att tycka om det. Men det stannar vid ok. Jag vill ha ännu skarpare eller något mörkare för att till fullo uppskatta ett rosa lack. Det är absolut inget fel på färgen och gillar man rosa är det ett alldeles lysande lack, men själv vill jag ha lite mer studs i mina rosa lack.

Jag upplevde det som att dom här var lätta att få att lossna från sitt ark och lätta att placera också. För att ta bort överflödig dekal använde jag ren acetone som smälter bort det man inte vill ha kvar utanför nageln. Dessutom tycker jag motivet är riktigt, riktigt fint och tycker att det passade bra ihop med den rosa färgen.

Today, I have an Barbie pink polish with a nice accent nail for you.

China Glaze Don't Mesa With My Heart is a medium pink cream polish which easily covers in two layers. The formula is ok but it was easy to get a little too much paint on the brush, actually. The drying time was good and in the pictures I have a topcoat on.

As you know I have started to like pink polishes more and more and I thought that this would be a sharp enough color to get me to like it. But it stops at ok. I want even sharper or slightly darker pink polishes in order to fully appreciate it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this color and if you like to Pink, it is an absolutely brilliant polish, but for myself, I want some more bounce in my pink polish.

Now on to the accent nail that comes from waterdecals I got sent to me from www.ladyqueen.com for review. I experienced that the decal easily released it self from the papersheet it was on and it was easy to place on the nail too. To remove excess decal I used pure acetone to melt away what was outside the nail of the decal. I also think this picture is really, really nice and think it fits well with the pink color.

Celestial - Under Full Moon Light

Idag tänker jag visa ett av lacken som var med i Color4Nails Holiday Box. En LE box som jag lyckades roffa åt mig en av.

Det första ut av dom här är Celestial Under Full Moon Light. Ett lack som jag inte har en aning om hur jag ska beskriva faktiskt. Vid första anblicken i flaskan så ser det nästan brunt ut. När jag först målade på naglarna så blev det med åt aubergine hållet. Med ett härligt inslag av holo och lite glitter också. Ja, det finns faktiskt lite av varje i det här lacket.

Det var smidigt att jobba med och täcker bra på två lager. Torktiden var också bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Alltså det här är ju egentligen ett väldigt fint lack och absolut unikt i min samling, men jag är nog inte riktigt övertygad om att det här är min grej faktiskt. Snyggt, ja, men inte något som jag blev överförtjust i. Tyvärr.

 

Today I will show you one of the polishes that was in Color4Nails Holiday Box. A LE box that I managed to grab one of.

The first one out is Celestial Under Full Moon Light. A polish that I don't have a clue how to describe really. At first glance at the bottle I thought it was kind of brown but when I started to paint the nails it looks more on the eggplant direction. With a glorious holo and a some glitter too. Yes, there is actually a bit of everything in this polish.

It was easy to work with and covers well in two layers. The drying time was also good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

So this is actually a very beautiful polish and absolutely unique in my collection, but I'm not really convinced that this is my thing, actually. Neat, yes, but not something I was thrilled about. Unfortunately.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Purple #1

Temat denna månaden i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är lila ett ganska så stort tema kan man ju tycka. Och ett tema som jag gillar.

Första manikyren ut blir en stämpling med kanske en något annorlunda färgkombination, men jag gillar verkligen det här väldigt mycket.

Basen är Kiko 266 Ultramarine Blue som jag sen stämplat med hjälp av mönster från Bundle Monster BM-XL209 som är platta gjord i samarbete med bloggen Lucy's Stash. Den lila färgen är China Glaze Harmony.

Jag tycker det här blev en kul kombo och jag gillar verkligen mönstret och för övrigt finns det många väldigt fina mönster på den plattan.

The theme this month in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is purple a theme that I think is really fun. 

My first manicure for the month is with a perhaps slightly different color combination, but I really like it.

The base is Kiko 266 Ultramarine Blue that I have stamped on top of using a pattern from Bundle Monster BM-XL209 which is plate made in collaboration with the owner of the blog Lucy's Stash. The purple color is China Glaze Harmony.

I think this is a fun combo and I really like the design and there are many very nice patterns on that plate.

My December Haul

Jo, December blev en rätt omfattande månad när det gäller nya lack. Jag hade en adventskalender som slutade med 18 lack tror jag. Min Secret Santa Bag dök upp och så även en Special Box från Color4Nails. Plus lite annat smått och gott.

Reader's Choice - Kiko 266 Ultramarine Blue

Välkommen till årets första läsarnas val! Jag har faktiskt saknat det här lilla inslaget på bloggen.

Förra gången ni fick rösta fram ett lack åt mig så blev det Kiko 266 som vann omröstningen. Det här är ett mörktblått skimmerlack som även har namnet Ultramarine Blue (vilket jag hittade på deras hemsida). Jag gillar Kikos lack och det här var också ett riktigt bra lack att jobba med. Två lager räckte för full täckning, men då har jag ju rätt korta naglar för tillfället så det kan vara så att man behöver tre om man har riktigt långa naglar. Torktiden var riktigt bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Den här typen av mörkt blåa färger tilltalar mig väldigt mycket och en av mina favoriter Misa A Sin Worth Commiting påminner en del om det här. Jag gillar både färgen och det fina djupet som är i lacket.

Om man råkar ha vägarna förbi en Kiko butik eller beställer via nätet så finns det här lacket i deras grundsortiment och jag rekommenderar det varmt om man gillar blåa lack. Dessutom är det väldigt prisvärda lack.

Welcome to the first readers' choice this year! In fact I have missed this little feature on the blog.

Last time you voted for a polish it was Kiko 266 that won the poll. This is a dark blue shimmer polish that also has the name Ultramarine Blue (which I found on their website). I like Kikos polishes and this was a really good one to work with. Two coats was enough for full coverage, but then I have pretty short  nails at the moment so it may be that you need three if you have really long nails. The drying time was really good and in the pictures I have a topcoat on.

This type of dark blue color appeals a lot to me and one of my favorites Misa A Sin Worth Commiting is very similar to this. I like both the color and the fine depth that is in the polish.

If you happen to be passing by a Kiko store or order online you should be able to pick up this polish because it seems to be one of their basic ones in their product line and I recommend it warmly if you like blue polishes. Moreover, it's a very affordable brand.

Shaka - Disco Violet

Idag visar jag ett lack från ett för mig nytt märke. Ett märke som jag inte vet mycket om, men jag tror att det är italienskt. Rätta mig gärna om jag har fel, för jag är nyfiken på var det kommer ifrån.

Det här är i alla fall Shaka Disco Violet ett lack som jag tyckte såg betydligt mycket mer lila ut i flaskan än vad det gör på naglarna. I flaskan ser det ut att vara lila med mycket guldskimmer, men jag tycker nästan skimret tog överhanden på naglarna. 

Nu menar jag inte det i någon negativ mening, för det här var en riktig goding ska jag säga. Lacket är något skirt så tre lager behövde jag för täckning. Torktiden var däremot riktigt bra så det orsakade ju inga större problem. På bilderna har jag topplack på också. 

Det här påminner faktiskt lite om Zoya Daul dock är det här mer guldtonat än vad det är. Jag gillar det här bra mycket mer än vad jag förväntat mig. Känns riktigt lyxigt på naglarna. 

Today I will show you a polish from a brand that is new to me. A brand that I don't know much about, but I think it's Italian. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm curious as to where it comes from.

This is Shaka Disco Violet a polish which I thought looked considerably more purple in the bottle than it does on the nails. In the bottle, it looks to be purple with lots of gold shimmer, but I think that the shimmer almost took over and the purple comes in the background on the nails.

I don't mean that in any negative sense becuase this turned out to be a real stunner. A keeper I would say. The polish is a bit sheer so I needed three layers to get it opaque. The drying time, however, was really good so it caused no major problems. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

This actually reminds me a little about Zoya Daul, however, this is more gold toned than Daul is. I like this a lot more than what I expected. Feels really luxurious on the nails.

A-England - Camelot

Ja, vi vet ju alla som håller på med lack eller kanske främst med nail art att jakten på det perfekta svarta lacket är ständigt pågående. Jag har en del favoriter sen innan, men i min julkalender så dök det upp ännu en stark kandidat till detta.

Jag har en förkärlek för A-England och Camelot är ett riktigt bra svart krämlack från märket. Om man tar något tjockare lager så räcker ett lager, vill man hellre måla lite tunnare så blir det nog två lager. Lacket torkar snabbt och på bilderna har jag topplack på, men jag vill påpeka att det var en riktigt fin yta även utan.

Som sagt det här lacket ligger högt upp på min svarta favoriter lista och det kommer troligen att användas flitigt som underlag till nail art eller andra lack som behöver en mörk basfärg. Jag rekommenderar absolut det här.

Yes, we all know that is polish nerds or perhaps mainly us who does a lot of nail art that the hunt for the perfect black polish is ongoing. I have some favorites from before, but in my advent calendar I got another strong candidate for this.

I have a soft spot for A-England and Camelot is a really good black creme polish from the brand. If you take a little thicker first layer you easily get away with one coat would you rather prefer paint a little thinner two is enough. It dries quickly and in the pictures I have a topcoat on, but I want to point out that it was a really nice surface without too.

As I said this polish comes high on my black favorites list and it will probably be used extensively as a basis for nail art or other polishes that needs a dark base color. I definitely recommend this.

Darling Diva Polish - Yes, It's A Fake Tree

Om jag nu visade lacket jag hade på Julafton igår så är det väl inte mer än rätt att jag visar lacket jag hade på Nyårsafton idag.

Jag beställde ett par stycken från Darling Diva Polish julkollektion, men tyvärr så var posten extremt slö och dom dök upp efter jul, men lagom till nyår.

Yes, It's A Fake Tree är ett mellangrönt holo. Jag gillar verkligen Darling Divas lack och det här var som vanligt smidigt att måla med och täckte med två lager. Torktiden var också bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Älskar verkligen det här gröna lacket. Och jag älskar också julkollektioner som innehåller lack som funkar lika bra övriga året vilket jag tycker att det här gör.

 

Since I showed the polish I had on Christmas Eve yesterday It's not more than right to show the polish I had on New Year's Eve today.

I ordered a couple of polishes from Darling Diva Polish Christmas collection, but unfortunately the Swedish Post was very slow and they showed up after Christmas, but just in time for the New Year.

Yes, It's A Fake Tree is a medium green holo. I really like Darling Divas polishes and this was as usual easy to paint with and covered in two layers. The drying time was also good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

I really love this green polish. And I also love when Christmas collections contains polishes that works the rest of the year as well which I think this does.

Red & Gold

Idag tänkte jag att det var dags med något annat än topplistor och att faktiskt visa manikyren jag hade på Julafton.

För mig är röda naglar nästan ett måste vid jul och guld och silver glitter är också jul för mig. Så jag plockade fram ett av mina absoluta favoriter bland röda lack nämligen A-England Perceval som jag sen la en enkel glittergradient med hjälp av Rainbow Honey Judgement Bolt på.

Jag tycker att det här blev en perfekt julmanikyr!

Today I thought it was time to have something other toplists here and I thought it was a good idea to show you the manicure I wore on Christmas Eve.

For me, red nails is almost a must at Christmas and gold and silver tinsel is also Christmas for me. So I picked up one of my absolute favorites among red polishes namely A-England Perceval and then I added a simple glittergradient using Rainbow Honey Judgement Bolt over it. 

I think this turned out as a perfect Christmas manicure!
