Purrfect Pawlish - Fresh Sorbet

Purrfect Pawlish släpper sin Summer Date Trio kollektion den 24/7 och idag visar jag lack nummer tre från den. Och jag tror att jag sparat godbiten till sist.

Det här är Fresh Sorbet och ni som följer mig vet att jag älskar bl.a Dagon från Purrfect Pawlish och det här är Dagons syster. Helt ljuvligt hallonrosa glitterlack. Färgen stämmer faktiskt rätt väl överrens med hallonsorbet som namnet antyder tycker jag. Det här är ju dessutom fullproppat med prismatiskt glitter och jag kan bara säga att det är helt ljuvligt.

Det är tjockt så man skulle kanske kunna få det att täcka på två lager, men jag har två något tunnare. Som de flesta glitterlack så äter det topplack. På bilderna har jag två lager topplack och dagen efter skulle jag mycket väl kunnat lägga på ett lager till. Torktiden är snabb.

Fresh Sorbet har suttit på mina naglar ett antal dagar och jag tycker det är urtjusigt. Speciellt soliga dagar när man är ute och verkligen ser hur mycket det här gnistrar.

Purrfect Pawlish releases its Summer Date Trio collection on the 24th of July and today I show you the last of the polishes from the collection. And I think I saved the best for last. 

This is Fresh Sorbet and you who follow me know that I love Dagon from Purrfect Pawlish and this is Dagon's sister. Totally sweet raspberry pink glitter polish. The color line is actually right well with raspberry sorbet as the name suggests. This is totally packed with prismatic glitter and I can only say that it's absolutely adorable.

It is thick so I guess you could get it to cover in only one layer, but I have two slightly thinner. As most glitter polishes it eats topcoat. In the pictures I have two layers of topcoat and the day after I could easily added another layer. The drying time is quick.

Fresh Sorbet has been sitting on my nails a number of days and I think it's simply gorgeous. Especially on sunny days when you are out and really see how much this sparkle.

Purrfect Pawlish - Pink Champagne

Idag visar jag lack nummer två ur Purrfect Pawlishs Summer Date Trio kollektion som släpps den 24/7.

Pink Champagne var nog det lacket av dom tre som jag var minst imponerad av när jag såg dom i flaskorna, men jag måste säga att det här blev väldigt snyggt på naglarna. Det här är ett mörkt gammelrosa lack med en svag holoeffekt i. Två lager räcker för full täckning och torktiden är bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Utan holo hade det här lacket förmodligen varit rätt tråkigt, men nu blir det helt annorlunda. Jag gillade det här bra mycket mer än förväntat.

Kollektionen heter ju Summer Date Trio och är inspirerad av allt som gör en riktigt romantisk sommardate perfekt och självklart ingår ju rosa Champagne i en sådan. Själv är jag mer imponerad av lacket än av riktigt rosa Champagne.

Today I have polish number two from Purrfect Pawlishs Summer Date Trio collection, which will be released on the 24th of July.

Pink Champagne was probably the polish of the trio that attracted me the least from just looking at the bottles but I must say that I changed my mind once I got it on the nails. This is a dark pink polish with a soft holoeffect. Two layers is enough for full coverage and the drying time is good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

Without the holo I think this polish probably would have been quite boring, but now it's a completely different story. I liked this a lot more than I expected.

The collection is called the Summer Date Trio and is inspired by everything that makes a really romantic summer date perfect and obviously that includes pink champagne. I'm actually more impressed by the polish than the the taste of real pink Champagne.

Purrfect Pawlish - Sweet Macarons

Den 24/7 släpper Purrfect Pawlish en ny kollektion som heter Summer Date Trio. Den består av tre lack, alla i olika rosa nyanser och är inspirerade av en perfekt romantisk sommardate.

Idag visar jag första lacket som jag testade av dom tre. Det heter Sweet Macarons och är som ni förstår inspirerat av kakan med samma namn.

Lacket är ett skarpt rosa med vad jag först tänkte var skimmer, men jag skulle nog vilja säga att det är glasflecks i ljusare rosa nyans. Det var smidigt att måla med och täcker utan problem på två lager. Torktiden var bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Med min nyvunna kärlek för rosa så smälta jag som smör i solsken eller kanske som en macaron i munnen för det här lacket. Snygg rosa nyans och det blir ett fint djup i det med flecksen.

Purrfect Pawlish will release a a new collection called Summer Date Trio the 24th of July. It consists of three polishes, all in different shades of pink and are inspired by the perfect romantic summer date.

Today I show you the first polish I tested from the collection. It's called Sweet Macarons and as I think you understand is inspired by the cake with the same name.

The polish is a bright pink with what I first thought was a shimmer, but I would say that it is glasflecks in a lighter shade of pink. It was easy to paint with and covers without trouble in two layers. The drying time was good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

With my newfound love for pink this polish made me melt like butter in sunshine or perhaps as a macaron in the mouth. Lovley pink hue with a very nice depth because of the flecks.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Zoya Suri

Idag är läsarnas val tillbaka, men ni har väl inte missat att det fortfarande finns chans att delta i min Giveaway.

Förra gången jag lät er bestämma lack så blev det Zoya Suri som vann. Suri är ett mörkt lila lack med rött och blått skimmer i sig. Ett lack som är trevligt att måla med även om jag valde att ta tre lager när jag målade. Det hade säkert räckt med två om jag tagit lite tjockare på första lagret. Torktiden är bra. På fotona ser ni det utan topplack.

Jag tycker det här är väldigt fint, men för mig känns det lite som ett vardagslack. Alltså ett sånt där som man använder lite då och då för att det är snyggt, men kanske inte väljer om man ska på fest.

Today Readers' choice is back and I hope you haven't missed that there still chance to attend my Giveaway.

Last Reader's Choice you voted for Zoya Suri to be swatched.  Suri is a dark purple polish with red and blue shimmer in it. A polish that is nice to paint with even if I chose to take three layers when I painted. There had certainly been enough with two if I hade made a little thicker first layer. The drying time is good. In the photos you see it without topcoat.

I think this is very nice polish but to me it feels a bit like a everyday polish. One of those that you use every now and then because it's neat, but might not choose if you're going to a party.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Travel #2

När jag la ut mitt förra inlägg med veckans tema så hade Mrs Data först trott att det gällde en resa bakåt i tiden vilket gav mig idé till att göra en sån sak.

Jag kika runt lite bland mina plattor i jakt efter ett mönster med klockor på, det hittade jag inte så istället låter jag er resa tillbaka till 70-talet och till tiden då The Beatles var kungar.

Mönstret hittade jag på MoYou London Back To The 70's 01 och om man inte är bekant med mönstret så kan man alltid googla på The Beatles Abbey Road.

Basen är Mentality Shake och jag har stämplat med Mentality Black Opaque.

Sen påpekade sonen för mig att mönstret på accentnaglarna såg ut som Ataris logga och dom var ju också rätt stora på 70-talet.

When I published my last post with this months theme Mrs. Data first thought that manicure represented time travelling which gave me the idea to do something like that for the next manicure.

I looked around a bit among my stamping plates in search of a pattern with clocks on but I didn't have any so instead I will let you travel back to the 70s and to the time when the Beatles were kings.

I found this pattern on MoYou London Back To The 70's 01 and if you are not familiar with the pattern, you can always google on The Beatles' Abbey Road.

The base is Mentality Shake and I have stamped with Mentality Black Opaque.

And then my son pointed out to me that the pattern on the accent nails looked like the Atari logo and they were of course also pretty big in the 70s.

Idag tänker jag visa ett lack som skiftar mellan blått och grönt även om mina bilder inte visar det jättetydligt.

Det här är Barry M Pacific. Ett lack som jag nog tycker var finare i verkligheten än på bilderna även om jag nu återigen visar ett som jag kanske inte älskade precis.

Skiftningarna i det här var inte så supertydliga, men visst finns dom där. På bilderna ser det ut att vara en del penseldrag som syns tydligt, men det gör dom inte i verkligheten det ser väldigt slätt och fint ut.

Det var lätt att applicera täcker på tre lager och torkar helt ok. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Missförstå mig rätt, det här är ett väldigt fint lack, men jag föll inte helt för det. Skulle nog lagt på lite mönster. Hade säkert gjort susen!

Today I  will show you a polish that shiftss between blue and green even if my photos don't show it very clearly.

This is Barry M Pacific. A polish which I think was probably nicer in reality than on the pictures even if I now again is showing a polish that I didn't really fell in love with.

The shifts in this was not super clear, but they surely exists because my mother saw them! In the pictures it looks as if the brushstrokes is showing really well, but I didn't think it showed that much at all in reality. It looked really smooth and nice.

It was easy to apply. It covers in three layers and dries quite ok. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very nice polish, but I did not fall totally for it. Maybe I should have put on some patterns. That would certainly done the trick!

Superficially Colorful Lacquer - A Summer's Wave Goodbye

Jaha, vi fortsätter på lack som jag inte riktigt gillade. Fast när det gäller Superficially Colorful Lacquer A Summer's Wave Goodbye är det en sanning med modifikation.

För så här ligger det till. Det här lacket kom ut i en höstkollektion förra året och är ett thermolack som skiftar mellan att vara helt gult när det är varmt och sen blir mer orange när det är kallt. Skitsnygg kombo. Men jag tyckte ju att den färgkombon skulle vara jättefin en sommardag. En varm sommardag. Fel av mig, för när naglarna är helt varma även ute i topparna så är det helgult och en ganska tråkig gul färg. Så var det ju hela tiden när jag bar det istället för att vara gult med en underbar solnedgångs gradient som jag tänkt mig.

Så, nej jag tyckte inte alls om det när jag bar det, men hade förmodligen tyckt helt annorlunda om jag hade använt det en vacker höstdag istället.

Det är ganska skirt. Jag hade tre lager på, men ett fjärde hade inte skadat. Effekten är jättetydlig när man inte är supervarm och det var bra att måla med. På bilderna är det topplack på också.

Well, let's continue with polishes that I don't really liked. Though when it comes Superficially Colorful Lacquer A Summer's Wave Goodbye it is a truth with modifications.

Because this is how it is. This polish came out in a fall collection last year and is a thermo that shifts between being completely yellow when it is warm and then becomes more orange when it is cold. A really Stylish combo. But I thought the that the color combo would be really nice on a summer day. On a hot summer day. That was wrong, because when the nails are quite warm even out on the peaks it is completly yellow and a rather dull yellow color. And since I wore this a really warm day that is how it stayed all the time. So instead of being yellow with a lovely sunset gradient as I imagined it I had a boring yellow manicure.

So, no I did not like it when I wore it, but had probably thought quite differently if I had used it a beautiful autumn day instead.

It is quite sheer. I had three layers, but a fourth could have been good. The effect is very clear when you are not super hot and it was good to paint with. In the pictures I have topcoat on as well.

Mentality - Shake

Man skulle kunna tänka sig att Mentality Shake borde vara ett lack som jag fullkomligt älskar och jag trodde nog att jag skulle göra det, men i det här fallet så är det inte så.

Jo, det ser jättefint ut på bilderna, men utan direkt ljus på är det faktiskt ett ganska tråkigt lack och ett som inte alls passar min hudton speciellt bra.

Shake är ett av Neon Holo lacken och visst det finns holo i det, men neon det tycker jag faktiskt inte det är. Nu hade inte just den detaljen stört mig speciellt mycket om jag gillat nyansen på lacket, men jag kan inte riktigt sätta fingret på vad det är jag inte gillar. Det känns bara tråkigt helt enkelt. Jag hade nog förväntat mig lite mer sting i det.

Nä, det blev faktiskt platt fall för det här. Däremot är det precis som vanligt med Mentality väldigt bra att applicera. Två lager är lagom för täckning och torktiden är jättebra. Jag har topplack på bilderna.

 

One could imagine that Mentality Shake should be a polish that I would absolutely love and I thought that I should, but in this case that didn't happen.

Well, it looks really nice in the pictures, but if you have no direct light on it is actually a rather dull and one that does not really suit my skin tone very well.

Shake is one of the Neon Holo polishes from Mentality and certainly there are holo in it, but the neon not so much. Now that particular detail would not have disturbed me very much if I had liked the hue of the polish, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is I do not like. It just feels boring. I think that I had expected a bit more sting in it.

No, this was just not my polish. However, it is just as other Mentality polishes very good to apply. Two layers are enough for coverage and the drying time is great. I have a topcoat on in the images.

The Neverending Story Challenge - Pastel & Glitter

Då var vi igång med ett nytt challenge som går ut på att använda sina otestade lack som vi lacknördar verkar ha en förmåga att samla på oss en hel drös av.

Det finns två teman varje vecka som man kan välja att visa varför sig eller som en kombo eller om man vill göra bägge delar. Denna veckan har jag valt att kombinera glitter och pastell som är veckans två teman.

Lacken som stått länge och väntat i min låda är: Etude House Play #116 & #69 ett pistagegrönt pastell lack och ett färgglatt glitter lack i klar bas.

#69 som jag tycker går mer åt pistage än mint är ett väldigt snyggt lack, men det var då inte kul att måla med. Det visade upp alla dåliga sidor ett pastell lack möjligen kan ha. Det blev extremt strimmigt, det drog med sig färgen när man ville fixa till lite och för att få det att se vettigt ut fick man ta riktigt tjocka lager. Torktiden var rätt ok i alla fall. Visst med topplack på så blev det helt ok, men vissa naglar har två lager och vissa tre för att det blev kala fläckar som lös igenom. Så färgen får stor tumme upp från mig, men det lär finnas andra lack i liknande färger med bättre egenskaper.

#116 är ett glitterlack med klar bas och hexagoner i blandade ganska klara färger, dock inte neon. Kul glitterblandning, men igen ett lack som var helt omöjligt att jobba med. Basen är tjock och glittret var inte ens lätt att fiska upp ur flaskan. Och när man väl fått något på penseln så gick det inte att måla på det utan man fick liksom dutta dit dom på nageln med lite halvt våld. Synd igen för färgerna på glittren är härliga.

Så för att sammanfatta. Jag gillar verkligen hur den här manikyren ser ut, men det var inte kul att få dit den.

 

So it's time to start with a new challenge which goal is to use those untested polishes that polish nerds seem to have an ability to get a whole pile off.

There are two themes each week, you can choose to show them individually or as a combo or if you want to both. This week I have chosen to combine glitter and pastel that is this week's two themes.

The polishes that had been long waiting in my drawer are: Etude House Play #116 & #69 one is a pistage pastel and the other colorful glitter in a clear base.

# 69 which I think is more to the pistachio than the mint is a very nice polish, but it was not fun to paint with. It showed all the bad sides a pastel polish can possibly have. It was extremely streaky, if you tried to fix something the brush took the already painted color with it and to make it look even you had to take really thick layers. The drying time was ok anyway. A layer of topcoat made it look quite ok, but some nails have two layers and some three to cover bald spots that was shining through. So the color gets big thumbs up from me, but my guess is that you could find similar color from another brand that works better than this. 

# 116 is a glitter polish with clear base and hexagons in mixed pretty bright colors, not neon. I think this is a really fun Glitter mix, but again a paint that was completely impossible to work with. The base is thick and the glitter wasn't even easy to fish out of the bottle. And when you have got something on the brush it was not possible to paint it on the nail you had to dabb them on the nail with a little half-violence. Pity because again the colors of the glitters is lovely.

So to summarize. I really like how this manicure looks, but it was not fun to get it there.

Can you belive how fast a year passes by! Today is my birthday and since this is the third time while having a blog I guess you could call it a tradition for me to have a little birthday giveaway.

Smitten Polish - The First Lobster

Jag tycker vi rundar av arbetsveckan med ett fantastiskt vackert lack ifrån Smitten Polish.

Om jag minns rätt så vann jag det här i en giveaway för ett bra tag sedan och när jag inte kunde välja lack häromkvällen så kom sonen till undsättning genom att plocka upp The First Lobster ur min otestat låda.

Jag vet inte riktigt hur jag ska förklara färgen på The First Lobster. I grund och botten är det rött, men helt klart mer åt det korallaktiga hållet. Holoeffekten är riktigt bra och som vanligt så håller Smitten hög kvalité vad det gäller formula och torktid. Två lager som torkar snabbt är vad som krävs. Jag gillar ju dessutom penseln i dessa flaskorna.

På mig har hololack en tendens att chippa rätt fort och det gäller nästa alla märken så även Smitten tyvärr. Är det någon annan som också har det bekymret?

Jag kan bara konstatera att färgen på det här lacket är helt underbar och regnbågarna likaså. Allt som allt så är jag så himla glad att jag har det i min ägo.

If I remember correctly, I won this in a giveaway for a good while ago and when I (as usualy) had problem chosing polish the other night my son came to the rescue by picking up The First Lobster from my untested box.

I don't really know how to explain the color of The First Lobster. Basically, it's red, but clearly more to the coral-like way. The holo effect is really good and as usual Smitten Polish has high quality in terms of formulat and drying time. Two layers that dries quickly is what is required. And I really like the brush in these bottles.

On me holo polishes  has a tendency to chip pretty fast and it's the same with almost all brands so even Smitten unfortunately. Is there anyone else who has the same problem?

I can only conclude that the color of this polish is absolutely wonderful and the rainbows as well. All in all, I am so happy that I have it in my possession.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presentes - Travel #1

Månadens tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative är Travel eller Resa och trots ett ämne som borde vara hur lätt som helst att komma på grejer till så står det faktiskt lite stilla i mitt huvud.

Som tur är så är det ju ok med ganska fri tolkning inom temorna så det jag har gjort idag är helt enkelt en manikyr med tanke på att åka till Jurassic World eller Jurassic Park för oss som faktiskt såg den första filmen när den kom på bio. För om det bara inte varit så att dinosaurierna verkar rymma och vissa verkar mindre trevliga så lockar tanken att få se en livs levande Diplodocus mig.

This month theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Travel and despite a subject that ought to be pretty easy to get inspiration for I still haven't come up with more than this idea!

Fortunately we are free to interpreting the theme pretty much as we want so what I've done today is a manicure made to wear when you go to Jurassic World or Jurassic Park for us who actually saw the first film when it came to the cinema. Because if it hasn't been that the dinosaurs seem to accommodate and some seem less pleasant the idea of seeing living Diplodocuses appeals to me. 

As the base I have Smitten Polish Date Night I have stamped with Mentality Black Opaque and the pattern comes from Bundle Monster No. 611

Colourful and fun I was I think of this manicure.

My Top 5 Teal Polishes

Nä jag vet att teal egentligen är en typ av grönt, men jag förvarar mina gröna lack och mina teal lack på två olika stället och konstaterade att jag bara måste göra en teal lista också.

Plus att eftersom det är en typ av grön så får det här bli mitt Grön Onsdag inlägg.

Det är inte så att jag har supermånga lack i den här kategorin, men det hade nog inte spelat så stor roll för det här var ganska lätt att välja bland faktiskt. Som vanligt så har jag valt lacken med hjärtat.

Jag är nyfiken på vilka färger ni mer skulle vilja se listor på. Kommentera gärna.

Well I know that Teal is a type of green but I store my green polishes in one drawer and my teal in another and I just realised that I had to do one list with teal as well.

Plus after all it is a type of green so that means that I can have this post as a contribution to Green Wednesday. 

It's not like I have a ton of teal polishes but I don't think it would have mattert that much because I found these polishes pretty easy to chose. And as usual I have chosen with my heart. 

I'm curious on what other colors you would like me to do lists on. Please comment. 

Jag börjar med ett lack som jag omöjligen kan visa i all sin skönhet på bild. Smitten Polish Glacial Spring är ett teal färgat glitterlack som alla som älskar teal borde ha i sin samling. Älskar den här typen av microglitter lack.

I start off with a polish that I don't know how to show in it's real beauty on pictures. This is Smitten Polish Glacial Spring a teal colored glitter polish that everyone who loves teal polishes should own. I totally love this type of microglitter polishes. 

Vad vore en lista med mina bästa teal lack utan Zoya Charla? Ingenting skulle jag vilja säga. Mitt första lack jag köpte från Zoya och fortfarande mitt absoluta favoritlack från märket. Faktiskt det lacket som gjorde att jag bara måste göra den här listan. Det här tröttnar jag nog aldrig på.

What would a list with my top teal polishes be without Zoya Charla? I would say absolutly nothing. This is my first Zoya polish that I bought and still my favorite from the brand. Actually the polish that was the reason that I felt I needed to do this list. I don't think I ever will get tired of this.

A-England är också ett återkommande märke på mina listor. Det här är A-England Proserpine ett av de nyare lacken från märket. Ett lite mörkare teal med holo. Helt ljuvligt och det här märket tillhör ju också ett av mina favoriter. Men det visste ni nog redan.

A-England is also a returning brand when it comes to my top 5 lists. This is A-England Proserpine one of the newer polishes from this brand. A bit darker teal than the others on the list and with holo. An amazing polish and as you probably already figured out this is also one of my favoriter brands. 

Jade Energy är ju inte det enda holot på listan, men regnbågarna i det här har dom andra svårt att mäta sig med. Dessutom en fin teal färg och trevlig formula. Man kan inte be om så mycket mer faktiskt.

Jade Energy is not the only holo on the list but cleary the strongest holo of them. And also a really nice teal color with a nice formula. You can't ask for much more than that. 

L.A Girl 3D Effect Teal Dimension hade nästan en lika säker plats på den här listan som Charla faktiskt. Tyvärr så tillverkas inte den här serien längre, vilket är mycket synd för alla lacken är helt underbara i den. Teal Dimension är också en något mörkare teal med hur mycket prismatiskt glitter som helst. En fröjd för gudarna på naglarna.

L.A Girl 3D Effect Teal Dimension had almost as safe spot on this list as Charla did. Unfortunatly this collection is no longer manufactured and that is such a shame because all of the polishes in it is amazing. This is a bit darker teal with lots and lots of prismatic glitter in it. Eye candy is all I can say about it.
