Nailart Sunday: Gala

Lelack har bestämt att veckans Tema ska vara: Gala 
När jag tänker på ordet Gala som var min första tanke att göra en manikyr med en tupp på! Men, tyvärr så visade det sig att trotts alla stamping plattor som jag har så har jag ändå ingen med en tupp.

Så jag fick tänka om. Hm, på en gala kommer det en massa kända personer, man brukar oftast ha någon typ av scen där folk uppträder och presenterar priser. Vad göra??

Jo, självklart ska man då använda sig av lacket Take the stage från OPI och Cheeky platta nr 51 med stjärnor på som då får representera kändisarna!

When I think of the word gala that my first thought was to do a manicure with a rooster on because in Swedish we use the word gala for cuckoo too! But, unfortunately, it turned out that on all stamping plates that I have, I still have no one with a rooster.

So I had to think again. Hmm, at a gala there will be a lot of famous persons, you usually have some type of stage where people performe on and present prices. What to do?

Well, of course, I used the polish Take the Stage from OPI and Cheeky plate no 51 that had a pattern with stars on that will represent the celebrities!

The sons choice: Snails!

Jaha, då var det dags igen... Grabben har fått vara med och välja mönster.

Jag var ju lite sugen på att prova mina nya Cheeky plattor och hade som vanligt lite beslutsångest, så lillgrabben (han är bara 14..) fick äran att titta ut ett mönster. Den här gången så blev det en mycket söt liten snigel som föll han i smaken. Den här finns på platta CH 43.

Det här var mitt första möte med Cheeky och jag gillar det! Absolut inget problem att få över mönstret på stämplen. Välstansade och bra plattor. Helt klart prisvärda enligt mig.

Jag har Misa Grey Matters som basfärg till dagens inlägg och sen är det Konads Black Pearl specialfärg som sniglarna är gjorda med. Över detta har jag ett lager av A-England The Shield. Och som ni kanske också ser så har naglarna kortats ner lite. Hade tyvärr en del skador som gjorde att jag var rädd att dom skulle gå av på riktigt om jag inte fixade till dom på en gång. Men som tur är så är jag utrustad med ganska snabbväxande klor.

Gulligt eller galet?

 

Well then,  here we go again ... The son has once again gotten involved in selecting patterns.

I was a little eager to try out my new Cheeky plates and had, as usual, some decisions anxiety, so the little guy (he's only 14 ..) got the honor to look out a pattern. This time it was a very cute little snail that he decided on. This pattern is on the  CH 43 plate.

This was my first encounter with Cheeky and I like it! Absolutely no problem getting the pattern to transfer to the stamp. Very well done plates. Clearly worth the money.

I have Misa Grey Matters as the base color for today's post and then  Konad Black Pearl Special color for the snails. Over this I have a layer of A-England The Shield. And as you might also notice the nails are shortened a bit. Unfortunately I had some injuries that  I was afraid would make the nail break in a bad way if  I didn'g shortened them right away.  But luckily, I am equipped with fairly fast growing claws.

Holofredag med Jade Magia

Det här lacket har jag längtat efter! Och jag har fuskat lite och fotat dom här bilderna förra helgen när det var sol ute!

Som sagt Jade Holosarna har jag gått och suktat efter riktigt länge och nu har jag i alla fall tre stycken i min ägo.

På många bloggar är det här omnämnt som Magia Negra, men på min flaska står det bara Magia.

Jag tror att det här är så nära jag någonsin kommer att komma det perfekta svarta holot! Utan direkt solsken eller lampljus på så är det lite gråaktigt, men ändå.. Åh, vad jag gillar det här.

Jag valde att ha Nfu Oh Aqua Base som baslack och sen blev det tre lager av Magia och vilket lack. Man blir ju nästan tårögd! Helt underbara regnbågar. Formulan var helt ok, men penslen var lite spretig och mjuk.

Över detta har jag A-Englands The Shield. Så titta och njut.

Oh how I had longed for this polish! And I have cheated a bit and photographed it last weekend when it was sunny outside!

That said I have been wanting  the Jade Holos for a really long time and now I have at least three of them in my possession.

On many blogs, this is mentioned as Magia Negra, but on my bottle it says only Magia.

I think this is as close as I will ever get to the perfect black holo! Without direct sunlight or artificial light it is a bit greyish, but still .. Oh, how I love it.

I chose to have Nfu Oh Aqua Base as a base coat and then it was three layers of Magia. One becomes almost teary-eyed! Absolutely gorgeous rainbows. The formula was quite ok, but the brush was a bit fuzzy and soft.

Over this I have A-England's The Shield. So watch and enjoy.

China Glaze Heart of the matter

Igår var det Pink Wednesday och jag fortsätter på det rosa temat idag också. Varje år försöker jag att köpa någon typ av Rosa Bandet produkt. Oftast blir det inte själva bandet, då jag är hopplöst dålig på att sätta på mig det, men ni vet det brukar finnas disktrasor, salladspåsar, flingpaket och en herrans massa saker som lovar att dom ger en del av försäljningen till insamlingen.

I år tänkte jag som så att varför inte lägga pengarna på något som faktiskt kommer att användas också. Alltså självklart äter vi upp flingorna och så vidare, men den här gången ville jag ha något som faktiskt samtidigt skulle visa att jag faktiskt stöder kampen mot Bröstcancer. Så jag tog och införskaffade två av lacken från China Glaze Breast Cancer Awerness 2012 kollektion.

Det jag ska visa er idag heter Heart of the matter. Jag föll för namnet och för att det inte var babyrosa som många av dom andra lacken verkade vara. Det här är mer åt det hallonröda hållet skulle jag vilja påstå. I alla fall mörkare rosa. Och jag gillar det väldigt mycket. En trevlig färg som dessutom var mycket trevlig att måla med. Jo, jag har tre lager på, men det vet ni ju vid det här laget att jag alltid har! Torktiden var bra och formulan det bästa som jag målat med från China Glaze på ett bra tag. Lacket är ganska glansigt i sig, men jag valde ändå att ha ett lager av Seche på.

Yesterday was Pink Wednesday and I continue on the pink theme today too. Every year I try to buy some type of pink ribbon products. Most often it is not the ribbon itself since I am hopelessly bad at putting it on, but you know they sell dishcloths, salad bags, cereal boxes and a whole bunch of different things that promise that they give a portion of the sales to the organisation.

This year, I thought that why not spend the money on something that will actually be used as well. Of course, we eat up the flakes and so on, but this time I wanted something that actually would simultaneously show that I actually support the fight against Breast Cancer. So I purchased two of the lacquer from China Glaze Breast Cancer Awerness 2012 collection.

What I'm going to show you today is called Heart of the Matter. I fell for the name and that it was not baby pink like many of the other paint seemed to be. This is more on the raspberry red direction, I'd say. In all cases darker pink. And I like it very much. A nice color which was also very nice to paint with. Well, I have three layers on, but you know by now that I always have! Drying time was good and the formula the best that I painted with from China Glaze for a while. The polish is quite glossy in itself, but I still chose to have a layer of Seche on.

Pink Wednesday Pink Glitter

Ett av dom rosa lacken som jag faktiskt gillar riktigt mycket kommer från svenska Kicks. Det heter Pink Flamingo och är ett skarpt rosa lack som har lila undertoner i sig.

Jag gillar färgen och jag gillar att det är lätt att få tag på (om man bor i Sverige) och kostar inte skjortan, så även dom som inte är riktigt lika lacktokiga som en själv kan tänka sig att köpa det.

Nackdelen med dom lack jag provat på från Kicks är att dom är lite skira. Jag fick lägga på fyra lager, men resultatet blir ju fint så det får det väl vara värt.

Ni som hängt med mig ett tag kanske känner igen det här och det stämmer jag har visat Pink Flamingo innan, men den här gången har jag piffat till det lite granna. Jag tog Models Own Disco Mix och gjorde en gradient variant med. Själv är jag nöjd med färgkombinationen och resultatet. Manikyren fick även representera mig hos Little Miss Nailpolish som körde en rosa vecka som samtidigt syftade till att samla in pengar till forskning.

Men nu är ju det här inlägget rosa av en alldeles speciell anledning. Själv måste jag erkänna att jag är alldeles för dålig på att göra egenundersökningar av brösten. Ibland tror jag till och med att det är för att jag är rädd för att faktiskt hitta något. Så därför tänker jag följa många andra bloggar som också är med på Pink Wednesday exempel och lägga ut en förklaring på hur undersökningen går till. Så snälla gör inte som jag utan kolla er regelbundet!

One of the pink polishes that I actually like quite a lot comes from Swedish brand Kicks. It's called Pink Flamingo and is a bright pink polish with purple undertones in it.

I like the color and I like that it is easy to come by (if you live in Sweden) and doesn't cost a lot, so even those who are not quite as mad in polishes that I am might consider buying it.

The downside of the polishes I tried from Kicks is that they are a bit delicate. I put on four layers, but the result is very fine so it may well be worth it.

Those of you who kept up with me for a while might recognize this and it is true I have shown Pink Flamingo before, but this time, I buffed it up a bit. I took Models Own Disco Mix and did a version of a gradient. I'm happy with the color combination and the result. This manicure did also represent me on Little Miss Nailpolish blogg who last week had a pink week. She was kind enough to donate 1 dollar to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for every swatch that was send in to her.

But lets not forgett that this post is pink for a very special reason. Of course, I must admit that I don't examine my own breast as often as I should. Sometimes I think even that it's because I'm afraid to actually find something. So therefore, I intend to follow what many other blogs that are also included on Pink Wednesday examples and put out an explanation of how the examine works. So please don't do like me, check regularly instead!
