Ciaté Espadrilles

Det här är mitt första möte med Ciaté och jag måste ju säga att det inte alls blev en besvikelse. Vilket vackert lack!

Vet inte riktigt hur man ska förklara färgen på Espadrilles Roströdorangeguldig kanske. Ett lack som i flaskan ser ganska orange ut med massa av guldflakes. Men i det här är det det orangeröda som är huvudfärgen. Guldflakes är där för att ge lacket dimension, men tar inte över. Vilket är bra för då hade jag nog inte gillat lacket lika mycket.

Appliceringen var mycket smidig. Precis lagom tjock formula måste jag säga.  Fast det är lite i skiraste laget. Jag har tre lager på och har man mycket längre naglar än mig behövs kanske fyra för att slippa VNL. Torktiden var normal. Sen kan man ju inte låta bli att älska flaskan också. Så söt!

Det här är så himla fint, ett helt underbart höstlack. Lite som Orly Flicker fast helt annolunda ändå. Kommer jag att använda det igen? Absolut.

På bilderna är det alltså tre lager av Espadrilles och ett lager med Poshé ser det ut att vara lite tipwear så stämmer det. Jag passade på att fota dag 2 när det var härlig höstsol ute.

This is my first encounter with Ciaté and I have to say that it was not a disappointment. What a beautiful polish!

Don't really know how to explain the color of Espadrilles Rustyredorangegold maybe. The varnish in the bottle looks pretty orange out with lots of goldflakes. But the orange-red as the main color. The Goldflakes are there to give the polish dimension, but does not take over. Which is good because then I probably would not like the polish as much as I do.

The application was very smooth. Perfect thickness of the formula. Though it is little on the sheerest side. I have three layers on and if you have much longer nails than I you might neede four to get rid of VNL. The drying time was normal. Then one can not help but love the bottle too. So cute!

This is so nice, a wonderful autumn coat. A bit like Orly Flicker but still completely different anyway. Will I use it again? Absolute.

In the pictures, it is three layers of Espadrilles and a layer of Poshé, if you think it looks to be a little tipwear you're right. I took the opportunity to shoot on day two wearing this when it was lovely autumn sun outside.

Nailart Sunday The Son's choise: Owls

Jo, jag vet att jag vid ett flertal tillfällen sagt att mina barn inte ska få välja mönster mer, men nu tänkte jag göra precis tvärtom istället.

Jag brukar ha lite beslutsångest över vad jag ska ta för något så framöver kommer det dyka upp Sonens val här på bloggen.

Som grund hade jag denna gången Misa Good to be Green när grabben bläddrat igenom alla plattorna föll valet på ett mönster från Bundle Monster nr: 309. En uggla! Nu är ju färgen jag hade på naglarna grön och det kan ju givetvis göra att man tänker på skogen och i skogen bor ugglorna!

Jag har använt Konads gröna specialfärg till att göra mönstret.

Den här gången tycker jag nog att sonen gjort ett rätt bra val. Ugglorna är riktigt söta. Eller vad tycker ni? Vill ni har mer av den här typen av inlägg i fortsättningen?

Well, I know I repeatedly told you that I shouldn't let my children choose designs any more, but now I thought I do just the opposite instead.

I usually have some troubles deciding what pattern to use so I was thinking to do a minitheme and let my youngest decide the patterns for a while. This will show up here as: The Son's choise!

This time I had  Misa Good to be Green on the nails when the kid browsed through all the plates and chose a pattern from Bundle Monster No: 309 An owl! Well, the color I had on my nails is green and that can obviously make you think of the forest and in the forest live owls!

I used Konad special green polish for the pattern.

This time, I feel that my son made ​​a pretty good choice. The owls are really cute. Or what do you think? Do you want more of this type of post in the future?

Nailmail again!

Nailmail på två vis blir det idag!

Dels så har jag fått månadslacket från Nailmail i lådan och sen har det ju dykt upp lite "nailmail" i form av andra beställningar jag gjort.

Mina första Ciaté som jag beställde från Nailmail. Fashionista Sister, Espadrilles och Talent Scout

4 stycken från China Glaze Halloween kollektion Wicked. Immortal, Glitter Goblin, Cast a spell och Make a spectacle.

Sen fick jag ju mail ifrån mitt lokala Kvantum att dom nu fått in Color Club som jag efterfrågat och då måste man ju stötta dom lite i alla fall. Noveau Vintage såg trevlig ut tyckte jag.

Utöver dom här så dök Barielle's Blackend Blue, L.A Girl Sapphire, China Glaze Skate Night, China Glaze Stroll och Zoya Arizona ner i lådan genom byten. 

This weeks haul. My first Ciaté bought through Swedish site Nailmail and four from China Glaze Wicked collection and one Color Club to support my lokal store that have taken them in after a mailrequst from me!

Holofredag med Cactus Astatine

Men tjena, det är redan fredag igen och idag ska jag få efterlängtad massage! Inte alls fel för min trötta kropp.

Det här lacket eller syskon till det här har visats på ett antal svenska bloggar redan, men vad gör väl det när vår egen Cactus är tillverkare av ett alldeles utmärkt hololack.

Jag har varit på jakt efter ett riktigt svart hololack och när Cactus släppte sin kollektion så kunde jag ju inte låta bli att köpa Astatine. Inte är det jättesvart, men jag har förstått att det är riktigt svårt att åstakomma, så min jakt på det perfekta svarta holot är inte över, men det här är så himla fint ändå. Och holoeffekten är det minsann inget fel på.

 Svart/grå i den ordningen för det är mycket mer svart än grått. En formula som jag tyckte väldigt mycket om. Torktiden lika så. Penslen är något som Cactus själv skrev att hon inte var så nöjd med. Först kändes den lite väl sladdrig, men efter en stund vande man sig och det funkade riktigt bra. Om man bara tänker sig för och tar det lugnt med penseldragen fungerar den alldeles utmärkt.

Jag tror att man säkert kan komma undan med två lager, men som vanligt så snålade jag lite på första så jag har tre på. Jag valde att lägga ett lager Poshé över för att få upp glansigheten lite. Det kändes lite matt utan.

Nu till det som jag tyckte var tråkigt. med det här lacket. Jag målade på det i onsdags och redan på torsdagen så chippade det. Inte en liten flisa utan jag kunde dra av lacket.i stora chok. Har det här hänt någon av er andra? Kan det bero på Aqua Basen eller på Poshé som jag hade som överlack?

Sammanfattningsvis, förrutom då att hållbarheten just på mig inte var så bra tycker jag att Cactus lyckats väldigt bra med färgen och med holoeffekten. Lacket är väldigt fint och nästa gång ska jag testa med ett annat underlack.

 

But hey, it's already Friday again and today I will have a  massage! A very much needed one.

This polish or it's siblings has been showed in a number of Swedish blogs already, but what does it matter when our own Cactus is the manufacturer of an excellent holopolish.

I've been looking for a true black holo and when Cactus released her collection I couldn't resist buying Astatine. It's not 100% black, but I understand that it's really hard to accomplish, so my hunt for the perfect black holo is not over, but this is so nice though. And the holoeffect is certainly nothing wrong with.

Black / gray in that order because it is much more black than gray. A formula that I liked very much. Drying time is equally so. The brush is something Cactus herself wrote that she was not so happy with. At first it felt a little too flimsy, but after a while I got used to it and it worked really well. If you only think about it and take it slow with the application it works just fine.

I think you can probably get away with two coats, but as usual, I was a little stingy at first so I have three. I chose to add a layer Poshé over to bring up the gloss a bit. It felt a bit dull without.

Now on to the boring part. I painted this wednesday evening and already on the thursday it started to chip. Not small bits at the edge of the nails. No,  big flakes that I could draw of like if I used peel of basecoat. Strange! I'm wandering if any of you other blogers have experiensed this to or could it be the result of me using Aqua Base and Poshé as a topcoat?

To bad because the polish it self is very beautiful. I think that Cactus have managed very well with the color and holoeffect.

A-England Ophelia

Man ska inte ha för höga förväntningar på ett lack, det slutar oftast med besvikelse. Och det är vad som hände när jag lackat med A-England Ophelia.

Visst att kollektionen heter Gothic Beauties och jag som faktiskt lyssnar på ganska mycket Goth musik och dessutom har en son som ägnat ett par år av sitt liv med att klä sig i den stilen borde förstått att det inte skulle skina igenom så extremt mycket av det underbara lila skimmret som finns i den här flaskan.

Sminkan gillade inte formulan på ett av de andra lacken ur kollektionen, men den hade jag inga som helst problem med. Å andra sidan brukar hon och jag inte ha samma åsikt om just A-Englands formula :)

Appliceringen gick väldigt smidigt. Två snabbtorkande lager är vad som behövdes, men det är ju sen allting blir så fel. Jag har sett massa fina bilder på nätet på det här lacket och visst har det stått att det är mycket mörkare i verkligheten. Jag hade nog tänkt mig ett lack liknande China Glaze Lubu Heels fast med lila istället. Men skimmret drunknar, det finns där men är väldigt diskret. Det är fortfarande ett fint lack, men inte alls så fint som jag trodde.

Jag har då dessutom provat A-Englands The Shield alltså deras topplack. Det var ju en destå bättre upplevelse. Snabbtorkande var det definitivt. Jag tycker absolut att det kan vara ett bra kompliment till Seche eller Poshé. Fast ytan blir inte alls lika glansig som på de båda andra.

Det blir en del foton idag. Eftersom Sminkan skrev att lacket satte sig och visade sig bättre efter ett par timmar så har jag även bilder tagna dagen efter jag hade lackat på det. Någon skillnad? Nä! Fast nu ska jag sluta gnälla och tillägga att A-Englands lacker lämpar sig alldeles utmärkt till stamping, så det här kommer inte att få stå oanvänt.

Nåja, det var i alla fall en väldigt vacker morgon när jag gick ut och skulle ta lite dagsljusbilder av vilka ni inte ser så många av här, för dom såg likadana ut som inomhusbilderna. Så jag passar på att bjuda på en härlig morgonbild från landet.

You should not have too high expectations of a polish, it usually ends in disappointment. And that's what happened when I painted with A-England Ophelia.

Sure, the collection is called Gothic Beauties and I actually listen to a lot of Goth music and also has a son who spent a few years of his life dressed in the style. So I guess I should have understood that the beautiful purple shimmert would not shine through that much as it's shown in the bottle.

Sminkan did not like the formula of one of the other polishes from the collection, but I had no problem with that. On the other hand, she and I usually don't have the same opinion about  A-England's formula :)

The application went very smoothly. Two quick-drying layer is what was needed, but it's after that everything goes wrong. I've seen lots of lovely pictures on the web of this polish and yes most of the blogs has stated that it is much darker in reality. I had probably imagined a varnish-like China Glaze Lubu Heels stuck with purple instead. But the shimmer is drowning, it's there but is very discreet. It's still a nice color, but not nearly as nice as I thought.

I have also tried the A-England's The Shield  their topcoat. It was a merrier experience. Quick drying, it was definitely. I definitely think it can be a great compliment to Seche or Poshé. The different is that the surface is not as shiny as the other two.

There are a lot of photos today. Since Sminkan wrote that the polish "settled" and turned better after a couple of hours, I have also photos taken the day after I had painted it. A difference? Nah! Though now I'll stop whining and add that A-England lacquers suited perfectly for stamping, so this will not be left unused.

And the fact is that it was a beatiful morning when I was out trying to take daylight pictures so I give you a bonus picture that is the view from our garden.
