Misa Good to be Green

Nu kör vi på som vanligt här på bloggen igen ett tag. Det vill säga att jag visar det lack som jag kände för att måla med istället för att ha tema.

Dagens lack blev Misas Good to be Green. Ett lack som jag blev lite kär i när en jobbarkompis hade det på sig. Måste ha tänkte jag!

När jag satt och målade med det så blev jag lite fundersam på om det inte är väldigt likt Orlys Fresh. Fram med flaskorna och mina swatches. Färgen i flaskorna ser riktigt lika ut, men på stickorna avslöjade sig Misa som mycket mer gultonat än Orly. Fortfarande lika, men absolut inga dupes och jag tycker väldigt mycket om dom bägge två. Färgen sticker ut och tyvärr är den kanske inte den mest smickrande för min hudton, men det struntar jag i.

I alla fall så är det här en typ av äpplegrön som då drar lite åt det gula hållet. Härlig formula och jag tycker att Misa har en riktigt trevlig pensel. Nu var det inte världens bästa belysning där jag satt och målade. Därför har jag tre lager på eftersom jag tvekade på om det skulle räcka med två. Torktiden var helt normal. Jag valde att lägga ett lager Poshé över för det blev lite strimmigt tyckte jag. Detta rättade dock till sig hur lätt som helst med topplacket. Färgen var lite knepig att få rättvis på bilder, men jag blev ändå rätt nöjd i slutändan.

Jag skrev för ett tag sedan att jag skaffat ljustält. Det har nu kommit, men ändå springer jag runt i huset för att hitta bra belysning nu när höstmörkret är över oss och utomhusfotografering inte alltid är möjlig. Jag vill gärna ha ärlig feedback på vad ni tycker om bilderna. Skulle vara trevligt att höra om ni kan se vilka av dom fyra som visas idag som är tagna i mitt lilla tält och vilka som inte är det! Och givetvis om ni tycker att dom funkar.

Back to normal again on the blog for a while. That is, I show you a polish that I picked because I felt like it instead of having a theme.

Today's paint is Misas Good to be Green. A polish that I got a little crush on when a work mate had it on. Must have I thought!

As I sat and painted with it I was a bit puzzled if it's not very much like Orly Fresh. Out with the bottles and my swatches. The color in the bottles looks really alike, but the swatches on my naildisplays revealed that Misa has much more yellow in it than Orly. Still pretty much alike, but absolutely no dupes and I really like them both. The color stands out and unfortunately it may not be the most flattering for my skin tone, but I do not care.

In any case, this is a type of apple green which then pulls a little on the yellow side. Lovely formula and I think that Misa has a really nice brush. Now it was not the world's best light where I sat and painted. Therefore, I have three layers on because I hesitated on whether it would be enough with two. The drying time was completely normal. I chose to add a layer Poshé over for it was a bit streaky, I thought. This dissapeared with the topcoat. The color was a bit tricky to get a fair picture of, but I was still quite happy in the end.

I wrote a while ago that I got light tent. Well I use it now, but still I run around the house to find good lighting now that the darkness is upon us and outdoor photography is not always possible. I would like to receive honest feedback on what you think about the pictures. Would be nice to hear if you can see which of the four shown today that are shot in my small tent and which ones are not and if you think that they are ok!

Z = Zoya - Skylar

Mitt favoritmärke får avsluta den här resan som nu är över. Jag hoppas att ni har haft en trevlig resa och att ni har hittat något fint att titta på.

Mitt första Lemmings bland Zoya lacken var Skylar och ändå har jag låtit det stå där i lådan och vänta. Kanske för att det alltid är lite så där med lack man verkligen längtat efter att man är rädd att man ska bli besviken. I det här fallet kan jag lugnt säga att mina förväntningar infriades. Jag tycker Skylar är ett mycket vackert lack. Behagligt blågrått med massa silverskimmer i. Och i det här lacket försvinner inte skimret i flaskan utan syns även på nageln.

Jo, jag vet att jag är tjatig.. Men Zoyas pensel är ju bäst och formulan är ju i princip alltid trevlig och flaskorna är ju så söta!

Tre lager har jag på för täckning. Och så ett lager Seche över det.

Har ni några Zoya och vilket av Zoya lacken var det första som ni föll som en fura för?

My favorite brand will finish this journey that now is over. I hope you had a nice trip and that you have found something nice to look at.

My first Lemmings among Zoya lacquer was Skylar and yet I've let it sit there in the box and wait. Maybe because it's always a bit like that with polishes that you really longed to have that you are afraid that you'll be disappointed. In this case, I can safely say that my expectations were met. I think Skylar is a very beautiful polish. Comfortable blue-gray with lots of silver shimmer in. And in this polish it's not lost shimmer in the bottle, but is also visible on the nail.

Well, I know I am repetitive .. But Zoyas brush is the best and the formula is in principle always nice and the bottles are so cute!

Three layers I have on for coverage. And then one coat of Seche over it.

Do you have any Zoya and which of the Zoya lacquers was the first you fell like a statue for?

W = Wild And Willing - Color Club

W får stå för Wild and Willing från Color Club ännu ett lack som jag förskansat mig genom vår bytargrupp.

Jag började lacka med WaW utan något underklädeslack, men gav upp. Tog bort och började om med ett lager av Kicks Golden Gown och då gick det absolut bättre. Lacket är nämligen väldigt skirt. Jag har ändå fått lägga på tre lager vilket det absolut kan vara värt om man nu tycker om guldiga lack. Det här har väldigt fina skiftningar mellan guld och brons, men tyvärr syns dom inte så mycket på bilderna. Själv är jag ju inte helt förtjust i ljust guldiga saker på naglarna så jag lyckas inte bli så där varm och glad av det här som jag vill bli.

Torktiden var i alla fall helt ok och appliceringen var det absolut inget problem med. Jag hade lite tur med att solen tittade fram när jag skulle fota. Det jag däremot inte har tur med är att någon har haft sin hund lös och inte plockat upp efter sig mitt inne i vår trädgård!

Jag har alltså ett lager Kicks Golden Gown, tre lager Color Club Wild and Willing och till slut ett lager Seche på topp på bilderna.

W stands for Wild and Willing by Color Club yet another polish that I ensconced myself through our swapgroup.

I started to paint with WaW straight on the basecoat but gave up. Took away and started over with a layer of Kicks Golden Gown underneath and it went far better. The polish is very delicate. I've still got to put on three layers, which it absolutely is worth if one likes golden lacquer. This is very nice, shifts between gold and bronze, but unfortunately they are not seen as much in the pictures. I myself am not quite fond of bright golden things on my nails so I didn't become that warm and happy over this that I wanted to be.

The drying time was in any case quite ok and the application was absolutely no problems with. I had some luck with the sun peeped out when I would shoot the pictures. What I didn't get lucky with is that someone has had their dog loose and not picked up after themselves in the middle of our garden!

So I have on layer of Kicks Golden Gown, three layers of Color Club Wild and Willing, and finally a layer of Seche on top on the images.

Nailart Sunday: Natty Lace

Förra söndagen så var det Zoya Monica som jag hade som bas till nailart och denna söndagen så blir det systerlacket Natty.

Som ni kommer se på bilderna så hade det här suttit på ett litet tag när jag valde att lägga en stamping över. Det finns lite tipwear, men det får ni stå ut med.

Natty i sig är otroligt vackert vilket gjorde att jag inte ville ta bort för mycket av intrycket av basfärgen. Jag bestämde mig för att använda mig av Konads Silverspecialfärg och Konad platta M57 där det finns ett litet spetsmönster som är så där lagom diskret.

Jag är själv nöjd med resultatet. Det blev det där lilla extra utan att sticka ut för mycket. Vad säger ni? Blev det bra?

 

Last Sunday it was Zoya Monica that I had as a base for nail art and this Sunday it will be her sister Natty.

As you will see in the pictures, I had worn this polish a bit before adding the stamping. There is little tipwear, but you will have to endure.

Natty itself is incredibly beautiful which made me not want to remove too much of the base color impression. I decided to use my Konad Silver Special color and Konad plate M57 where there is a small lace pattern that are nice but kind of discreet.

I'm am happy with the result. It was that little extra without standing out too much. What do you say? Was it good?

U = Urban Night - China Glaze

Nu är vi framme på bokstaven U och efter detta inlägget så har jag bara 2 inlägg kvar på min bokstavsresa. V, X, Å, Ä och Ö får jag hoppa över för jag har inga lack på dom bokstäverna!

Måste erkänna att jag tycker det ska bli rätt skönt att gå tillbaka till vanliga inlägg igen. Fast det förstås under Oktober kommer det att vara Pink Wednesdays som är till för att ge uppmärksamhet åt att det är Rosa Bandet kampanj hela Oktober.

Nu till dagens bokstavslack Urban Night från China Glaze köpte jag när Kicks sålde ut sina China Glaze lack i april så det var på tiden att det kom fram nu.

Lacket är mörkt lila, rätt ok formula. Jag fick ta till tre lager för täckning. Kanske hade gått med två lite tjockare. Jag tyckte torktiden var lite seg faktiskt. Färgen är rätt fin tycker jag. Inte något sånt där lack som man blir störtförälskad i, men trevligt i alla fall. Påminner lite om Zoya Monica fast det går mer åt det gråa hållet och är lite dammigare. Om jag får välja blir det Monica som vinner.

Here we are on the letter U and after this post, I have only two posts left on my alphabetic journey. V and X I will have to skip because I have no polishes that matches the letters!

Must admit I think it will be quite nice to go back to regular posts again. Though it is understood in October it will be Pink Wednesdays to give attention to it is the Pink Ribbon campaign throughout October.

Now on to today's letter.  Urban Night from China Glaze was bought at Kicks when they sold out their China Glaze polishes in april so it was about time it came up now.

The polish is dark purple with ok formula. I had to take three layers for coverage. It might perhaps had worked with two little thicker. I found the drying time was a little tough actually. The color is quite nice I think. Not something like that polish that you become disturbed in love with, but nice all the same. Reminds me of Zoya Monica though it goes more to the gray side and is a little dustier. If I get to choose between those to Monica wins.
