Winter Nail Art Challenge - New Years Eve

Året lider mot sitt slut det är dagen före Nyårsafton och sista dagen på vår Winter Nail Art Challenge. Jag har tyckt det varit riktigt kul att vara värd för den här utmaningen och funderar på om jag skulle knåpa ihop något nytt för Februari möjligen.

Ämnet för dagen är New Years Eve och jag är fullt medveten om att det finns en ganska stark rörelse i det här landet som vill förbjuda smällare för att allt för många husdjur mår fruktansvärt dåligt och det har jag full förståelse för, men ändå så är det så att för mig när jag skulle fundera ut en manikyr så var det just fyrverkerier som dök upp i mitt huvud. För det är ju ändå väldigt vackert tycker jag.

För ganska länge sedan fick jag ett lack från NCLA som heter Red, White & You utskickat för recension och det skulle funka alldeles utmärkt till min nyårsmanikyr. Det består av en jellybas med stjärnor i rött, blått och silver. Jag la en bas av Misa A Sin Worth Commiting och duttade sen dit stjärnorna. För det var så att dom här stjärnorna fick man fiska upp ur flaska och liksom lägga på plats. Lite trist, men det funkar ju.

Jag la också till lite silvriga uppskjutningsränder för att illustrera att det är just ett fyrverkeri.

This year will soon be over. It's the day before New Year's Eve and the last day of our Winter Nail Art Challenge. I thought it was really fun to host this challenge and is thinking of putting another one together maybe in February or so.

The topic of the day is New Years Eve and I am fully aware that there is a fairly strong movement in this country who want to ban firecrackers because of the fact that too many pets are scared to death and frightened from it and that I fully understand, yet for me fireworks was the first thing that came to mind when I should figure out a manicure for this challenge. For it is still very beautiful, I think. Fireworks that is, maybe not my manicure ;)

For quite some time ago I received a polish from NCLA called Red, White & You that was sent out for review and it would work just fine for my New Year's manicure. It consists of a jellybase with stars in red, blue and silver. I deciede to use it over Misa A Sin Worth Commiting and started adding the stars. Unfortunally you can not paint with this polish you have to work a bit to get them from the bottle to the brush and it's more like placing the stars than painting actually. A little sad, but it works after all.

I also added a little silvery launch stripes to illustrate that it is a fireworks display.

NCLA - Red Rebel, Rose

Idag är det dags för ännu ett lack från NCLA ett mörkt blodrött crelly. Jag kan börja med att säga att jag älskar färgen. Vampig och snygg, men tyvärr så höll inte det är lacket riktigt samma mått som de andra NCLA lacken jag provat.

Det blev strimmigt och var svårt att få snyggt. Sen är det ju en crelly eller kanske till och med en jelly och jag vet med mig att jag har lite svårt att få dom fina, så det kan vara min målningsteknik som ställer till det.

Jag har i alla fall tre lager och på bilderna är det inget topplack, så glansigheten är det då rakt inget fel på.

Som sagt helt underbar färg, men inte lika kul formula.

Today it's time for yet another polish from NCLA a dark blood red crelly. I can start by say that I love the color. Vampy and stylish, but unfortunately this polish did not match the others I have tried from the brand when it comes to paint with it. 

It became very streaky when I painted with it and was difficult to get even. But then it's a crelly or maybe even a jelly and I know that I rarely like painting with that finish so it may be my painting technique that causes it. 

I have three layers on and in the pictures there are no top coat, so as you can see there is nothing wrong with the glossiness in it. 

As I said it's an absolutely gorgeous color, but not as fun formula.

NCLA - I'm With The Band

Jag har testat ett par lack från NCLA tidigare och varit riktigt imponerad av egenskaperna på lacken. I'm With The Band är absolut inget undantag till detta.

Det här lacket är ett knalligt koralligt orange lack med ett ganska diskret guldskimmer i sig. Det är inte världens bästa pensel i min åsikt, men eftersom lacket är så pass bra är det ändå lätt att måla med och täcker på två lager utan minsta problem. Torktiden är också väldigt bra. Ett lager av Gloss N' Sparkle The Shining har jag på också.

Nu har väl sommaren passerat och vi är inne på hösten, men än så sitter väl de flestas solbränner i lite grann och då är det här ett perfekt lack. För mig är det kanske något lite för mycket åt korallhållet.

I have tried a couple of polishes from NCLA before and have been really impressed with the formula of those. I'm With The Band is no exeption from that. 

This is a bright orange/coral polish with a pretty discreet golden shimmer in it. It's not the worlds best brush in the bottle but since the polish it self is so good it still aint no problem painting with it. It covers without any problems in two layers. The dryig time is also very good. I also have a layer of Gloss n' Sparkle The Shining on top. 

I guess the summer has passed but most of you still have some tan left and this polish looks perfect with some tan. My own opinion is that it might be a bit to much coral to feel totally at home in it.

Efter att inte ha köpt någonting, så nu köper jag desto mer! Eller det är ju faktiskt inte helt sant för de mesta lacken som jag visar idag har jag antingen fått för att recensera eller vunnit.

Lite mer nytt har det i alla fall blivit till samlingen sen förra veckans inlägg.

After not buying anything since May I know buy polishes all the time! Or actually not because most of the polishes that are shown here is bottles that I either has won in Giveaways or has gotten sent to me for review.

NCLA - Pick me up at Melrose Place

Dom här bilderna har jag faktiskt färgkorrigerat lite grann. För jag vill verkligen visa er vilket härligt lysande lila lack NCLA Pick Me UP At Melrose Place är. 

Inte nog med att det är en häftig lila färg, det är också mycket trevligt att lacka med. Kanske lite, lite rinnigt. Täcker på två lager och torkar fort och riktigt glansigt och fint. Jag har dock ett lager med Seche över. 

Även om jag verkligen gillar färgen så är det inte så att jag hoppar jämfota av glädje över den. Jo, den är kul, men det stannar liksom med det på något sätt. Kanske helt enkelt inte riktigt var på humör för den när jag bar den. För vanligtvis så brukar jag älska den här typen av lila. 

Har ni möjlighet att testa lack från NCLA så tycker jag absolut ni ska göra det. Bra lack med hög kvalité är mitt omdöme. 

I have actually color corrected these pictures a bit. Because I really want to show you what a lovely bright purple polish NCLA Pick Me UP At Melrose Place is. 

Not only that it is a cool purple color, it's also very nice to paint with. Maybe it bit runny, but just a bit. Covering with two coats and dries quickly and really shiny and nice. However, I have a layer of Seche over. 

Although I really like the color, it's not that I'm jumping up and down with joy over it. Well, it is fun, but that is were it stays somehow. Perhaps it's as simple as I just wasn't in the mood for this type of color when I wore it because I usually love this type of polishes. 

If you get the chance to try polishes from NCLA I definitely think you should do it. Good polishest with high quality is my opinion.

Nailart Sunday - Red Ombre

Jag hade lite idétorka till den här söndagen faktiskt. Satt och klurade på vad jag ville göra och kom inte på något annat än att jag ville baka bröd och det har ju inte så mycket med Nailart Sunday att göra kanske!

Till sist konstaterade jag att jag var sugen på röda naglar och varför inte då göra en röd ombre så var ju Nailart frågan också löst.

Trodde jag för då skulle jag ju bestämma vilka röda jag skulle ha. Gav upp och överlämnade detta till yngste sonen som skötte väljandet med bravur.

Lacken jag har använt är från tummen: YSL Rouge Sublime, Loréal Rouge CanCan, Zoya Rehka, China Glaze City Siren och NCLA Rodeo Drive Diva.

I had some problems coming up with an idé for this weeks Nailart Sunday. Sat and figured out what I wanted to do and the only thing I could think of was that I wanted to bake bread and that hasn't got much to do with Nailart maybe!

Finally, I noted that I was craving for red nails and why not make a red ombre of it that would fix my post for this very sunny Nailart Sunday.

Then came the next problem. Choosing the colors for the ombre. I gave up after a short time and passed it on to my youngest son to choose. And he did it with flying colors.

The polishes I used is from the thumb: YSL Rouge Sublime, Loréal Rouge CanCan, Zoya Rehka China Glaze City Siren and NCLA Rodeo Drive Diva.

NCLA - Rodeo Drive Royalty

Idag ska jag visa er ett lack från ett märke som jag aldrig testat förut. Märket heter NCLA och jag har köpt det via Nailmail där det varit månadens märke. Om jag har förstått det hela rätt så är det här ett märke från Kalifornien, USA där ägaren är svensk eller åtminstone har svenska rötter.

Och jag måste säga att jag är imponerad. Det här är ett "vanligt" krämlack, men oj vad bra det var att måla med! Det flöt på smidigt som bara den och torkade fort som bara den också. Jag har två lager på och det ska man nog inte behöva mer än heller.

Färgen är en mörk röd nästan lite vampig sak. Helt underbar. Jag gillar ju i och för sig rött lack, men det jag gillar med det här är att det inte är så skrikigt utan lite mer dämpat. Jag trivs så himla bra i det här. Visst det är inget unikt, kan tänka mig att dom flesta lite större märkena har något liknande, men jag tror inte att jag sen tidigare har det i min samling.

Jag har ett till NCLA att testa och jag kan mycket väl tänka mig att fylla på min samling med fler från märket.

Färgen är mest verklighetstrogen på flaskbilden tycker nog jag. Alltså lite mörkare än på dom andra bilderna.

Today I'll show you a polish from a brand that I never tried before. The brand name is NCLA and I bought it through Nailmail where it last month's brand. If I have understood correctly, this is a brand from California, where the owner is Swedish or at least have Swedish roots.

And I must say I'm impressed. This is a "regular" cream lacquer, but oh how good it was to paint with! Everything went very smoothly and it dried really fast as well. I have two coats on and that is what is necessary.

The color is a dark red almost a little vampy thing. Absolutely lovely. I like red polishes a lot, but what I like about this is that it's not so in your face red, but a little more subdued. I love having this color on my nails. Ok it's not unique, can imagine that most of the bigger brands have something similar, but I don't think I have anything like it in my collection.

I have another NCLA polish to try I can very well imagine to extend my collection with more from this brand.

The color is most accurate in the first picture with the bottle. A bit darker as you can see than on the other pictures.

New Ones!

Idag är det holofredag och det här är nog första gången på månader som jag inte är med. Jag orkade helt enkelt inte att måla om och fota. Är lite mycket i mitt huvud just nu. Och nej det är absolut inget negativt som flyger runt där inne. Tvärtom, men det är mycket planering som krävs när man har två underbara söner där den ena konfirmeras och den andra tar studenten och detta inom loppet av två veckor.

I och med detta kommer jag inte ha tid att posta alla dagar i veckan och jag hoppas att ni förstår det och tycker det är ok. Helgen som kommer nu blir det storstädning och nästa helg då drar det igång med första eventet. Ca 40 personer ska rymmas i vårt lilla hus. Trångt men hjärtligt är tanken.

Istället för ett snyggt hololack så får ni istället bilder på lite nya snyggingar som har trillat in i min brevlåda den här veckan.

Två snyggingar från ett för mig nytt märke som heter NCLA köpta via Nailmail och en hel hög med Zoya lack, men enbart tre från sommarkollektionen. Det var dom som lockade mig mest.

It's holofriday ​​and this is probably the first time in months that I am not showing you a holo on a friday. I was simply to tired to repaint and take photos. Is a bit much in my head right now. And no there is absolutely nothing negative flying around in there. On the contrary, but it takes a lot of planning when you have two wonderful sons, one that will have his first communion. In Sweden we do that at the age of fifteen and the other one graduates from what we in Sweden calls Gymnasiet and I have no idea what that is similar in other countries but he is ninteen and that is that last of the schools here in Sweden that is mandatory. He is now a grown up man who has to take the choice to either study further or start working. This all takes place in just two weeks.

In doing so, I will not have time to post every day of the week and I hope you understand it and think it's ok. This weekend, which will now become the major cleaning weekend and next weekend it's time for the Confirmation. There will be about 40 people who shall have dinner at our small house!

Instead of a neat holopolish I give you pictures of some new hotties that have came to my mailbox this week.

Two bottles from a for me new brand called NCLA that I bought through Nailmail and a whole bunch of Zoya polish, but only three from the summer collection. It was them that attracted me the most.
