Nailart Sunday - Dotticure

Jag får börja med att be lite om ursäkt för mina torra tråkiga nagelband. Har inte hunnit smörja ordentligt än idag. Lite trött efter en heldag på Bodaborg igår. Sjukt roligt, men dom där grannarna dom ska få igen nästa år!

Jag hade ju tänkt att bjuda på en fin stamping manikyr idag, men jag orkade faktiskt inte fixa till det utan tog den enkla vägen ut och la först en fransk manikyr på Picture Polish Monroe som redan sitter på och sen lite fallande prickar från den.

För att vara en akutmanikyr och snabbt gjord så tycker jag att det blev riktigt bra. Ska sätta mig och fixa lite nytt och snyggt till imorgon senare idag, men först ska jag sortera lite bland lacken och flytta över en del till min nyinköpta Helmer.

I wanna start with an apology for my very dry and not so nice cuticles on the pictures. Have not had time to properly lubricate today. A bit tired after a full day at Bodaborg yesterday. We had so much fun and next year is our year. We will beat our neighbours then!

I had planned to show you another awesome stamping manicure today, but really didn't feel like it or had the time so instead I took the easy way out and freshened up Picture Polish Monroe that I still have on with a funky french and then added som dotts that almost looks like the are falling out of the french one.

To be an emergency manicure and quickly made​​, I think it turned out really good. Will sit down and get some new and fresh manicure for tomorrow later today, but first I'll sort among my polishes and move over some to my newly purchased Helmer.

Nailart Sunday - L.A Girl Polka Dots

Den här veckan har Angelica gett oss fria tyglar. Alltså inget tema, så då tänkte jag passa på att testa ett söt litet sett som L.A Girl skickade till mig.

Det här setet består av 3 stycken mycket söta miniflaskor från L.A Girl och en dottingtool. Det är alltså specialset för att man ska testa på att göra prickiga manikyrer och som ni förstår så gör det mig väldigt glad eftersom prickar liksom är min grej.

Setet som jag fick till mig innehåller vit, svart och rosa/korallig färg + en dottingtool med två olika storlekar på.

Enligt instruktionerna ska man måla två lager av färgen, låta den torka och sen göra prickar. Kan säga så här: Svart och vit färg inga problem, men den tredje räcker det inte med två lager. Jag har tre och det är ändå ganska så synbar VNL. Formulan på lacken var mycket bra. Hade inte förväntat mig något annat heller. Bra penslar för att vara i miniflaskor. Dottingtoolen var helt ok även om jag föredrar när dom faktiskt är lite tyngre än den här var, även lite längre skaft.

Givetvis så var jag ju tvungen att testa kombinationer med alla färger för att se hur det skulle funka. Som jag skrev tidigare så täckte den svarta och vita väldigt bra och så även när det gällde att göra prickar med den. Den rosaaktiga överraskade mig med att vara bra mycket bättre än jag förväntat mig. Visst jag fick fylla i prickarna en extra gång på det svarta, men det tycker jag inte är så konstigt.

Allt som allt så är mitt omdöme att det här är en kul grej för att få folk att våga sig på nailart. Vi som redan hållit på ett tag har förmodligen redan lack som matchar ihop så det räcker ändå. Stort plus också för dom otroligt söta flaskorna.

This week Angelica at Lelack gives us free choices of what to show on Nailart Sunday. So since there is no theme, I thought I would take the opportunity to test a sweet little set sent to me from L.A Girl.

This set consists of 3 pieces of very cute mini bottles from L.A Girl and a dottingtool. So it's a special set for makin dotticures and as you understand it makes me very happy because dots is so my thing thing.

The set I got includes white, black and pink / corall color + a dottingtool with two different sizes.

According to the instructions you should paint two coats of paint, letting it dry and then do the dots. But I can say this: Black and white color no problem, but the third is not enough with two layers. I have three and it's still pretty obvious VNL. The formula of the paint was very good. Was not expecting anything else either. Good brushes for being in mini bottles. The dottingtool was ok although I prefer when they are actually a bit heavier than this one was, even a little longer shaft.

And of course I just had to test combinations with all the colors to see how it would work. As I wrote before, the black and white covered very good and so even when it came to make the dots with it. The pinkish surprised me with being a lot better than I expected. Sure, I had to fill in the dots one more time on the black, but it does not seem so strange.

All in all, it's my opinion that this is a fun thing to buy if you are curios of starting doing nailart or why not as a gift to someone. We who already are into this probably already have polishes and tools. Big plus also for those incredibly cute bottles.

Nailart Sunday - Prickar/Dotts

Äntligen ett tema som jag känner att jag behärskar och älskar :) Och vad gör jag då? Jo, inte fasiken gör jag en vanlig enkel prickig manikyr, nej jag lyssnar istället på min familj och ger mig på att göra nyckelpigor, för dom är ju prickiga!

Tack Lelack för dagens tema, jag är sjukt nöjd med detta förslaget och faktum är att jag är väldigt nöjd med resultatet av mitt lilla prickexperiment också.

Innan jag fortsätter vill jag dessutom be Zoya Rekha officiellt om ursäkt för allt jag sa i inlägget om dig innan jul. Den här gången blev det inte alls strimmigt och tråkigt. Inte var det speciellt svårt att lacka med heller. Så återigen förlåt mig, jag menade alls inte vad jag sa!

Som ni då förstår har jag använt mig av Zoya Rekha som bas till det här. Tre lager av den sen blev det prickar och detaljer av NOX Twillight Black Tie och lite Milani White on the spot till ögonen. Allt gjort på frihand med hjälp av dottingtools och nailart penslar.  Inget överlack på bilderna. Jag ville inte att det skulle bli några utdragna prickar, så jag väntade tills efter fotograferingen med det.

Finally a theme that I feel that I master and love :) And what do I do? Well, do I make a plain simple dotted manicure, no I listen instead to my family and went on to do ladybugs, because they're spotted!

Thanks Lelack for today's theme, I'm so pleased with this theme, and in fact I am very pleased with the outcome of my little dotting experiments too.

Before I continue, I would also like to give Zoya Rekha an officially apologize for everything I said in the post about you before Christmas. This time it was not at all streaky and dull. It was not particularly difficult to paint with either. So again I'm sorry, I did not at all mean what I said then!

As you know understand I have used Zoya Rekha as the basis for this. Three layers of that then there was dots and details with NOX Twillight Black Tie and a little Milani White on the spot to the eyes. All done by hand using dottingtools and nail art brushes. And no topcoat on the pictures.

Silverprickar!

Idag borde jag ha visat er en manikyr med julgranar på, men så kreativ har jag inte orkat att vara. Anledningen till att jag borde gjort det är för att jag och mannen ska införskaffa årets gran idag. Normalt sett brukar jag skicka ut honom i skogen för att hugga en, men han var inte alls sugen på det med all snön ivägen! Senare blir det familjemys på bion. Dags för Hobbit.

Och nej, ni får inte se vad jag gjorde med Ziv idag heller, det sparar jag till Nailart Sunday. Så istället blev det en liten julprickig manikyr som visas idag.

A-England Perceval visade jag i början av veckan och när jag hade det på blev jag rysligt sugen på att göra lite prickar. Och det här blir ju lite gran relaterat i alla fall, för i min gran ska det vara rött och silver, så över Perceval har jag gjort prickar av Depend 223 ett mycket bra silverlack. Över det har jag sen A-England The shield.

Today I should have shown you a manicure with Christmas trees, but I have had other things to do so it wont be a post that creative.  The reason that I should have done a Christmas Tree is because today me and my man will go and get us this year's tree. Normally, I usually send him out into the forest to chop one, but he was not at all keen on it with all the snow in the way! Later all of us will go to the movies to se the Hobbit.

And no, you can not see what I did with Ziv today either, I've been saving it for Nailart Sunday. So instead, it became a Christmas dotted manicure.

I showed you A-England Perceval, in the beginning of the week and when I had it on, I was awfully tempted to do some dots. And this is a little tree-related anyway, because my Christmas tree will be decorated in red and silver. Over Perceval I made dots of Depend 223 a very good silver polish. And over this I have a layer of A-England  The shield.

Nailart Sunday Halloween dots

Jag fortsätter på gårdagens färgschema med orange och svart.

Prickar är alltid rätt och China Glaze Riveting är nog också rätt för det mesta. Så därför fick det bli svarta prickar gjorda med Milani Black Swift över det härliga oranga Riveting. Blev lite som en prickgradient.

Nöjd? Absolut, känns väldigt mycket jag. Över det hela har jag ett lager The Shield.

I'm using the same colors today as yesterday because I really like the combination.

I love China Glaze Riveting and I love dotted manicures so a dotted one with Riveting must be the perfect match! And it turned out to be that. I used Milani Black Swift for the black dots and made it almost like a gradient. And on top I have a layer of A-England The Shield. 

Again a manicure that I'm very very pleased with!

Pink Wednesday - Pink with dots!

Jag återkommer hela tiden till mina älskade prickar, så även denna onsdag som alltså går i färgen Rosas tecken för att uppmärksamma att det är Oktober och Rosa Bandet månad.

Zoya Rory är ett ovanligt fint lack för att vara rosa som jag valde att fixa till med prickar av OPI Panda-Monium Pink och Milani White on the spot. Fram med dottingtoolsen och så blev det så här. Jag valde att inte lägga på topplack eftersom det gör att prickarna mer smälter in i basfärgen. Jag tycker det såg lite kul ut när dom liksom poppar upp istället.

Zoya Rory is an exceptionally fine polish for being pink that I chose to fix with dots of OPI Panda-monium Pink and Milani White on the spot. Out with the dottingtools and it became like this. I chose not to put on any topcoat because it makes the dots kind of blend in to the basecolor more. I think it looked a little fun when they were popping up instead.
