Untried A-Z Challenge: I = Isadora 576 Velvet De Luxe

Jag hade verkligen sett fram emot den här Valborgsmässoaftonen när vi ska elda nere vid vår damm med grannarna och vad händer? Jo, det blåser storm så något eldande ska vi nog inte ge oss på. Det får bli grillad korv på vanlig grill istället. Inte riktigt lika kul liksom!

Något som jag inte heller tycker var så kul är lacket som jag valde till bokstaven I i Untried A-Z Challenge. Isadora 576 Velvet De Luxe hade jag ganska stora förhoppningar om, men det föll sig ganska platt faktiskt. I flaskan ser man ett ljuvligt lila skimmer som tyvärr inte alls syns så väl när man väl målat med det. Faktum är att det lilla skimmer som kommer igenom ser mer blått än lila ut. Jag var inte heller superförtjust i formulan på det här. Lite klumpigt nästan. Men två lager räcker i alla fall.

Nåja, man kan ju inte gilla dem alla och jag har ju haft sju lack på raken som var mina stora favoriter så jag får väl acceptera att alla inte kan hamna på topplistor. Det är absolut inte fult det här lacket, bara inte alls vad man förväntat sig.

I had really looked forward to this Walpurgis evening that we are going to celebrate by lightning the fire down at our pond together with our neighbors and what's going on? Well, it's kind of a storm outside so we would be crazy to lit a fire. Instead we will take our ordinary grill down there. Not the same, but it will have to do. 

Something else that wasn't as fun as I had thought it would be is  the polish I chose for the letter I in the Untried A-Z Challenge. I had quite big expectations on Isadora 576 Velvet De Luxe, but it fell quite flat indeed. In the bottle you see a lovely purple shimmer that unfortunately does not show up on the nails. In fact, the little shimmer coming through looks more blue than purple. I was also not very fond of the formula on this. A little clumsy almost. But two layers are enough.

Well, you may not like them all and I've had seven polishes on the row now that I completely love, so I can accept that this one might not get on the top lists. It's absolutely not ugly, just not at all what you expected.

Lacky Corner's Favorite Week: China Glaze - Agro

Maken har bestämt sig för att bygga en liten bro över dammen så man kan gå runt den. Vi tog släpet med oss och körde till stan för att köpa virke, väl där konstaterar vi att allt inte får plats på en gång, så det blev två vändor till bygghandeln och en in till mataffären för att se till att allt finns redo för vårt Valborgsfirande med grannarna. Väl hemma höll jag på att dö av hunger, men nu är magen mätt och glad och på naglarna sitter det sista av lacken från min favoritvecka.

Man ska ju avsluta med flaggan i topp och idag visar jag er ett av mina absoluta favoriter. Ett lack som för alltid får mig att älska China Glaze. Jag tror dessutom att det här är lacket som verkligen fick mig att gilla grönt på naglarna för så mycket gillar jag Agro. Det här kom ut med Hunger Games kollektionen 2012. Något som också fick mig att bli intresserad av både böckerna och filmerna. Jag kan varmt rekommendera båda delar och framför allt det här lacket.

Agro är olivgrönt med skimmer. Helt ljuvligt. Nu har mitt hunnit tjockna till så egentligen kunde jag nog nöjt mig med ett lager, men två blev det. Alltså det här kan jag bära hur många gånger som helst utan att tröttna det minsta. Jag dras till liknande lack och ett annat som nästan kom med denna vecka är ett liknande fast med matt finish från Depend som kom i höstas. Om någon frågade mig vilket China Glaze lack man ska köpa om man bara får köpa ett enda så blev nog mitt svar Agro.

My husband has decided to build a small bridge over over pond so that you easily can walk around it. We drove to town to buy the material and while there we realized that what couldn't get everyting with us in one round, so there were two turns to the construction store and one to the grocery store to make sure everything is ready for our Walpurgis Night celebration with the neighbors tomorrow. Finally at home, I was dying of hunger, but now I'm no longer hungry and in a pretty much better mood and the nails are painted in the last polish of my favorite week.

One should end with the flag at the top and today I show you one of my absolute favorites. A polish that forever makes me love China Glaze. I also think that this is the one that really got me in to green nails, that is how much I like Agro. This came out with the Hunger Games collection 2012. Something that also made me interested in both the books and the movies. I highly recommend both parts and especially this polish.

Agro is olive green with shimmer. Absolutely lovely. My bottle has thickened up a bit and is now almost a onecoater, but I have as usual two coats.  I can wear this all the time without ever getting tired of it. I'm drawn to similar polishes and I almost put another one pretty similar to this amongst my favorite this week. One that has a matte finish and came out with one of Depends autumn collections. If someone asked me what China Glaze polish one should buy if one only could buy one, then my answer would be Agro.

Lacky Corner's Favorite Week: Moo Moo's Signatures - Once In a Blue Moo-n

Inte har det blivit mycket gjort idag inte, men man måste ha sådana dagar också. Vädret är riktigt fint i alla fall så det blir väl en daglig tur ner mot dammen nu när jag bloggat färdigt.

Favoritveckan kombineras idag med läsarnas val fast det blev lite mitt val ändå eftersom alla lacken fick exakt lika många röster. Jag valde att visa Moo Moo's Signatures Once In a Blue Moo-n för er av många anledningar. Dels för att det faktisk hamnade på min topplista av lack som jag visade 2016 och för att det är ett märke som sällan syns här på bloggen. Ja och så självklart för att det är helt vansinnigt vackert förstås!

Royalblått med flakies som täcker på två lager. Rena drömmen faktiskt. Borde skaffa mig mer lack från det här märket, men jag får verkligen inte köpa mer på ett tag. Sonen plockade ut tre ur lådan som ni får rösta på till nästa vecka.

I haven't got much done today, but you have to have such days as well. The weather is really nice anyway, so I guess I will take my daily walk down the pond after I have finished blogging.

My favorite week is today combined with the readers' choice, but it became a little bit my choice anyway, because all the polishes got exactly the same amount of votes. I chose to show Moo Moo's Signatures Once In a Blue Moo-n for you for many reasons. Partly because it actually ended up on my top list of polishes that I showed in 2016 and because it's a brand that rarely appears here on the blog. And of course, because it's completely insanely beautiful!

Royal blue with flakies covering in two layers. Really a dream polish. I should get more  from this brand, but I really can't buy more for a while. My son picked out three from the untested drawer for you to vote on 'til next week.

Lacky Corner's Favorite Week - L.A Girl 3D Effects Teal Dimension

Jösses vad den här dagen sprang iväg fort! Inte för att jag egentligen hunnit med så mycket, men lite mer skåprensning och såklart en promenad till dammen. Dock inga fåglar i syne när jag var där. Jag ska bara skriva färdigt här så ska jag gå ner och sällskapa gubben framför tv:n en stund.

Idag blir det ännu ett lack som är uppbyggt med prismatiskt glitter i min favoritvecka. Faktum är att L.A Girl 3D Effect lacken kom innan Zoyas prismatiska och vissa av färgerna är extremt lika om inte till och med dupes. Men just Teal Dimension som jag visar er idag har inte Zoya något likvärdigt till. Vem kan motstå ett teal med det här glittret i? Inte jag i alla fall. Tycker verkligen det här är ett helt fantastiskt lack.

Det jag har tänkt på när jag valt ut mina favoriter till den här veckan, eller jag ska säga delar av mina favoriter är ju givetvis att jag älskar färgen och finishen på dom, men också hur ofta de är använda. Hur dom har hållit sig trots ett antal år stående i en låda. Inga av de här lacken jag kommer visa denna veckan har ändrat sig i färg, de har inte tjocknat så mycket att man måste ösa i en massa thinner och de är riktigt bra att måla med. Sen har man ju alltid färger man gillar, men de här lacken är av den typen som jag lätt kan tänka mig att åka iväg på semester med och inte kunna byta på en vecka.

This day just disappeared! Not because I really had so much done, but I have cleaned out a little bit more from the kitchen cabinets and of course took a walk to the pond. However, no birds in sight when I was there. I'm just going to write this post and I'll go downstairs and join my husband in front of the TV for a while.

Today, I have another polish that is built up with prismatic glitter for my favorite week. In fact, L.A Girl 3D Effect polishes came before Zoya's prismatic and some of the colors are extremely similar if not even dupes. But Teal Dimension that I show you today is not something Zoya has a dupe for. Who can resist a teal with this sparkle in? Not me anyway. I really think this is an amazing polish.

So what did I think of chosing my favorites for this week, or maybe I should say parts of my favorites, well firstly if I love the color and finish of them, but also how often they are used. How well they have remainded in color and formula despite a number of years standing in a box. None of these that I will show this week have changed in color, they have not thicken so much that you have to pour in a lot of thinner and they are really good to paint with. As I said I love the colors of these but they are also those kind of polishes that I wouldn't hesitate to paint with at times when I know that I can't change polish for a while. As when you go on holiday. These colors are easily ones that I could wear for a week without getting tired of it.

Lacky Corner's Favorite Week: Zoya -Storm

Ibland får man skylla sig själv lite grann att man har ont i magen. Äter man massa stekt mat och rödbetsallad flera dagar i rad plus lite kakor så vet man i alla fall vad det beror på. Idag har jag börjat rensa lite i våra köksskåp. Det ska vara bakluckeloppis i byn den 1:a Maj och jag tänkte att det var ett bra tillfälle att kanske bli av med något. Man har massa saker gömda i skåpen som man totalt glömt bort att man ägde.

Nu är det dags för nästa favoritlack och återigen är det ett från Zoya som plockats fram. Zoya Storm är ett av märkets prismatiska lack som dom gör så oerhört snygga varianter av. Det här har en svart bas som är fullproppad med prismatiskt glitter. Och jag har använt det här många gånger vid det här laget sen jag fick hem det 2012.

Storm är också ett av de där lacken som jag tar till när jag inte kan bestämma mig av den enkla anledningen att jag alltid älskar att bära detta och att det är suveränt att jobba med.

Sometimes you only have yourself to blame for stomach ache. If you eat a lot of fried food and beetroot salad for several days in a row, plus some cakes, at least you know why you're hurting. Today I have started cleaning out some stuff from our kitchen cabinets. There will be a backyard sale in our village on May 1st and I thought it was a good opportunity to get rid of some stuff. You have a lot of things hidden in the cabinets as you totally forgot that you owned.

Now it's time for the next favorite polish and again it's one from Zoya that I picked up. Zoya Storm is one of the brand's prismatic polishes as they make such incredibly handsome variants of. This has a black base full of prismatic glitter. And I've used this many times by now since I bought it in 2012.

Storm is also one of those polishes I use when I have a hard time deciding on what to wear on my nails. For the simple reason that I always love to wear this and that it's great to work with.
