Reader's Choice - China Glaze Sexy In the City

Vilket härligt väder det varit idag! Varit ute och gått och fotat lite. Hittade till och med en blåsippa i min trädgård.

Veckans läsarnas val blev China Glaze Sexy In the City. Det känns som att det är riktigt länge sedan jag visade något China Glaze lack här. Det här är i alla fall ett tealfärgat skimmer lack. Lite skirt så tre lager behövdes, men torktiden var riktigt bra. Jag vet att jag brukade tycka väldigt mycket om CG.s borstar, men nu tycker jag att dom är något för smala faktiskt. Inte så att det blir jättejobbigt att måla, men jag hade föredragit en något bredare. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Först var jag lite skeptiskt när jag märkte hur skirt det verkade vara, men jag måste säga att det här är en riktigt vacker färg och den får mig också att tänka på alla liknande som China Glaze har och som jag glömt bort lite grann. Dags att börja plocka fram favoriterna igen kanske.

What a lovely weather we've had today! Been out walking and taking som photos. I even found some Hepatica in my garden.

This weeks Readers' Choice became China Glaze Sexy In The City. It feels like it's a really long time since I showed some China Glaze polish here. This is anyway a tealcolored shimmer. It's a little sheer so three layers are needed, but the drying time was really good. I know I used to really love CG.s brushes, but now I think they're a bit too narrow. Not that it's really hard to paint with, but I would have preferred a slightly wider. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

At first I was a bit skeptical when I noticed how sheer it seemed to be, but I must say that this is a really beautiful color, and it also makes me think of all the other China Glaze polishes with a similar shimmer that I have forgotten a little about. Time to start picking up the favorites again maybe.

Summary of Depend O2 Holo Fantasy collection

Lite sent omsider tänker jag bjuda er på en sammanställning av lacken från Depend O2.s Holo Fantasy kollektion. Den här kollektionen kom ut i höstas och jag tror vi alla blev rätt till oss när Depend äntligen släppte en ny kollektion med hololack.

Själv tycker jag att det är fin kollektion sen att man inte blev lika tagen som förra gången tror jag beror på att marknaden exploderat med holos sen första kollektionen 2012. Inte att Depend gjort dåliga lack, för det har dom verkligen inte gjort. Nej, då det är en riktigt fin kollektion, men jag tror att vi blivit lite avtrubbade och om det inte är något extremt nytt eller ett lack med en extrem effekt blir det inte längre lika stor uppståndelse.

Nåja, jag tänker lista dom i den ordningen som jag personligen gillar dom bäst i.

A little belatedly, I intend to give you a summary of the polishes from Depend O2.s Holo Fantasy collection. This collection came out last fall and I think we were all so very pleased when Depend finally released a new collection of holos.

Personally, I think it's a very nice collection even though non of us got as excited as the last time, I think the reason for that is because the market completely exploded with Holos since that first collection came out in 2012. Not that Depend made a bad collection, no not at all. It's a really nice collection, but I think we've become a bit jaded and if there isn't something extremely new or a polish with an extreme effect we no longer feel that excitement.

Oh well, I will list them in the order I personally like them best in.

När jag kollade igenom mina Depend lack som jag inte visat här på bloggen så hittade jag ett från Holo Fantasy kollektionen som kom förra året. Skäms lite över att det här har blivit liggande faktiskt. Men det är ju fredag och det ska ju firas på något sätt, så varför inte med ett härligt holo.

5036 Sweet Elves är ett korall/orange färgat holo. Inte så superstark holoeffekt, men den är fin. Lacket var kanonbra att måla med och täcker på två lager. Torktiden var bra och över alltihopa har jag som vanligt topplack.

Det här gillade jag. Trots att det är åt korall, jag brukar ju oftast inte göra det då, men jag tycker Sweet Elves är riktigt trevligt. Och har du tur så kanske du kan hitta de här lacken fortfarande i någon liten utförsäljningskorg, men jag tror det kan bli knepigt.

When I went through my untested Depend polishes I realised that I still had one left from the Holo Fantasy collection that came last year. Shame on me for keeping this in it's box for so long. But it's Friday and that should always be celebrated and why not with a really nice holo.

5036 Sweet Elves is a coral / orange holo. Not so super strong holo, but very nice. The polish was very good to paint with and covers in two layers. The drying time was good and over it all I have a layer of topcoat.

I like this a lot. Although it's coral, As you know I usually doesn't get very fond of coral polishes, but I think Sweet Elves are really nice. And if you're lucky, maybe you can find these polishes still in some bargain basket, but I think it can be tricky.

Idag tänkte jag recensera lite produkter jag fått från Born Pretty Store och jag tänkte börja med något som kallas för Nail Protector Peel Of Tape. En produkt som du använder när du vill göra nail art, men helst inte vill städa upp alltför mycket runt dina naglar efteråt. Produkten ser ut som ett plåster som är format för att passa runt dina naglar. Den var lätt att få bort dom från skyddspappret och väldigt lätt att placera dom runt nageln. Och jag måste säga att jag tyckte dom skyddade riktigt bra, Det var i princip ingenting som hamnade på huden efter jag hade stämplat. Stort tummen upp från mig.

Produkt nummer två är ett gult stämplingslack från BPS egna linje. Tidigare stämpellack jag provat därifrån har varit riktigt bra och så även detta. Jag testade faktiskt att stämpla över svart på prov och visserligen blir det inte helt gult utan mer åt neongrönt, men det täcker förvånansvärt bra faktiskt. Så tummen upp för gult stämpellack också.

Jag valde att göra en citrusmanikyr. Basen är OPI No Tan Lines och mönstret kommer från ÜberChic 9-01. Jag såg först när jag fotat att lite av mönstret smetat lite grann, men inte så att det förstår alltför mycket.

Sent out for review

Today I review some products that I received from Born Pretty Store and I was going to start with something called Nail Protector Peel Of Tape. A product that you use when you want to do nail art, but doesn't want to do massive clean up on your skin afterwards. The product looks like a patch shaped to fit around your nails. It was easy to get them away from the backing paper and very easy to place them around the nail. And I must say I thought they protected really good, It was basically nothing that ended up on the skin after I had stamped. Big thumbs up from me.

Item number two is a yellow stamping polish from BPS own line. I have used stamping polishes from them before and thought they have been really good and this is too. I actually tested to stamp over black and although it didn't look completely yellow but more to the neon green, it did cover surprisingly good actually. So thumbs up for the yellow stamping polish too.

I chose to make a citrus manicure. The base is OPI No Tan Lines and the pattern comes from Über Chic 9-01. I didn't notice until I saw my photos that a little bit of the pattern had smeared a little bit, but not that much to ruin it the whole manicure.

Cupcake Polish - Mr.Green In the Lounge

Idag är det grön Onsdag hos Karin och jag hänger på.

Lacket ni får se här hos mig är från Cupcake Polish och heter Mr.Green In the Lounge och som ni säkert förstår är namnet inspirerat av brädspelet Cluedo.

Det här är ett gräsgrönt holo som var jättebra att måla med. Jag tror man kan få det att täcka på ett lager, men jag fick nån liten kal fläck så jag har två + topplack på bilderna. Torktiden var mycket bra.

Egentligen skulle jag inte alls visat det här lacket idag, men efter att försökt att få ett av Depends Candy Craves lack att se någorlunda vettigt ut gav jag upp tog bort alltihopa och plockade fram ett säkert kort istället. Jag tycker att det här är en riktigt trivsam färg. Det är inte någon superholo, men det gör mig absolut ingenting.

Today it's green Wednesday at Karins and I have a contribution for it.

The polish you will see today is from Cupcake Polish and is called Mr.Green In the Lounge, and as you can imagine the name is inspired by the board game Cluedo.

This is a grass green holo that was great to paint with. I think you can get it to cover in one coat, but I got some bald spots on my first so I have two coats + topcoat in the images. The drying time was very good.

Actually, I wasn't supposed to show this polish at all today, but after trying to get one of Depends Candy Craves polishes to look reasonably sensible out, I gave up. Took it all of and pulled a safe card from my drawer instead. I think this is a really pleasant color. There is no superholo, but that doesn't bother me at all.
